Why is it that the majority of people prefer manga over anime?
Now, that isn't to say that anime doesn't have "its place". I think both mediums are great.
However, when reading manga I almost always get absorbed in the story and the characters such that I enter a state of "flow" and I partially lose my sense of self. This doesn't happen quite as often in anime, as my thoughts tend to wander at times when things get too predictable and I'm only fully immersed during salient segments. Also, I experience much more frission when reading manga than I do when watching anime.
I feel that this phenomenon may be aptly analogized with books and movies. Some people have their attention stolen by books while movies only whisk them away at certain points or in a half-way fashion.
What do you think? Do you think there is an inherent quality in manga that makes it easier to get "lost" in it?
Its simple actually.
When you read manga or any comics whatsoever, you dictate the pacing and tension.
At least for me an anime has to have phenomenal pacing to even get close to that flow state you're talking about.
Will you watch Urobuchi's dolls?
What are you working on?
What do you need help with?

Trying to get past bookwalker's DRM.
I figured it would be somehow possible on the phone since it doesn't delete the files like the new PC application (at least that's what I heard).
The epubs are there, and so is a file called .bookwalker with some sort of key inside.
Having no clue about programming hurts.
Why did he tie up her legs?
When is the author going to reveal that Kurapika was a girl all along?
