>Nasu: I said that I won't write any more Fate. I lied.
>Accept the future anon
As long as shit remains emulatable that's all I care about
/v/ pls, that's the whole industry
I work for Type-Moon.
Why do you think they released Realta Nua and Hollow on Vita? Then Nasu said he doesn't want to buy a memory card since they're expensive as shit and he chose to make it mobile.
He's still working on Tsukihime, but Fate's recent BOOM due to Fate/Zero is encouraging him to keep going, not to mention Ufotable asking to do the rest of the series along with Narita which means four new Fate series coming out at once, so guess what put on the back-burner just a bit more now. With all that shit coming back it's practically begging for him to get back involved again.
The April Fool's thing shows Tsuki is still a thing, but one of them is clearly winning at the moment.
The prediction made by this image was right in the end
I can't blame Nasu. Demon's Souls is one of my favorite games of all time.
One day I'll play Demon's Souls, until then I'll remain clueless about 99% of what's in the game.
Also, who here knows a good way to get around the region blocker for Google Play store? May as well set it all up now, instead of waiting for when the games are released and missing out.
All you need to know about Demon's Souls is that Yurt is a bro.
To see what other shit Nasu produces in his valiant bid to stop the Remake or Tsukihime 2 from ever happening.
I mean, last time he sat down to write a bonus chapter for Rakkyo, he produced a short novella.
Multiple? I only know of the Gwynevere one. What are the others?
Wait, that was released worldwide, though. Wasn't it?
Also, I am out of date. Is there an active/completed translation for CCC anywhere?
This is not how you're supposed to contest my statement.
While I've never said anything about the ost nor the writing which are in fact good the story is just a mess and the author chose to change everything at the end because fuck the readers.
You can say it's an important title for most of the contemporary writers took inspiration from it but it's not really that good

It's one of the best novel quality wise so I don't see the reason to complain about it
>Takeuchi is doing art direction
>can't color his shit, barely improves, inferior as artist to the most people on that list
What is "art direction"
>Who cares about the voice
I care about the voices.
Voices are part of what make visual novels worth reading. They're part book, part audiobook/drama CD, and part picture book. Removing the voices is a pretty big blow.
I think all that people will design the Heroic Spirits, so there would be probably lots of different artstyles in the game. Something like the original Apocrypha.
Seeing at who is working on it, we can deduce some Heroic Spirits that will appear too.
List or artists:I-?, Ain Cross, Sougetsu Takao (TYPE-MOON), AKIRA, Azusa, Ishida Akira, Okazaki Takeshi, okojo, Ginka, Konoe Ototsugu, Koyama Hirokazu (TYPE-MOON), Sakamoto MineG, Sasaki Shounen, Shima Udon (TYPE-MOON),?Shima Doriru, Kaetsu (TYPE-MOON), Shirabii, Sinjiro, Sumiei, Taiki, Takahashi Keitarou, Takayama Kisai, Takenoko Seijin, Tasukuouna, danciao, Chuuou Higashiguchi, Tenkuusufia, Nakahara,?Namaniku ATK (Nitroplus), pako, Bsuke, Hidari, Hiroe Rei, Hiroyama Hiroshi, PFALZ, Fukumaru Mochi, huke, BLACK (TYPE-MOON), BUNBUN, Maeda Hirotaka, Mata, Matsu Ryuu, Miwa Shirou, Morii Shidzuki, Moriyama Daisuke, Yamanaka Kotetsu, RAITA, Ryota-H, Rin Kususaga, Rco Wada
The rape is tsukihime actually serves a purpose though. If you're doing a new work it doesn't need them so much.
However, I would prefer them simply for nostalgia, and as long as they don't detract from it,
and fanservice is fun
How do you not get that all these stories take place in the same universe?
We've seen characters from the various stories cross over a number of times, Touko was in F/SN, it's odd you don't get that. Nasu has said that Tsukihime town and F/SN town are only a bus ride away.
The end of Tsukihime is the beginning of F/SN
>Q: How far away is Fate/stay night's Fuyuki from Tsukihime's Misaki?
>A: About the distance between Kant? and Ky?sh?.
Sounds like not that much distance anyway, but I haven't actually checked.
>Q: About Tsukihime, which has the same background world setting as Fate/stay night, which story happened first chronologically? And how many years apart are they?
>A: The end of Tsukihime is the beginning of Fate/stay night.
Well maybe I'm thinking of Kara no Kyoukai and Tsukihime then. They both have Touko, but she's not the same Touko.
All the things I'm saying right now are things that people in TM threads used to jump on me and correct me for whenever I said otherwise, so I just assumed this was common knowledge.
Nasu has stated that they take place in the same timeline. The exact time of both games have been retconned several times, each time to make them more recent, which has resulted in a few discrepancies because writers always fuck retcons up and because Nasu just wants to confuse us.
A lot of people there did designs for the original Apocrypha.
Like pako (Karna), Maeda Hirotaka (Vlad), Ginka (David), Chuuou Higashiguchi (St. George), Okazaki Takeshi (Frankenstein), Raita (Sakata Gintoki)...
KnK and Tsukihime take place in different timelines, yeah, so the Touko's are different.
Nasu's reasoning is that the likelihood of two people cropping up in Japan with such powerful EoDP and such good control over them are impossible, so we only ever have one of the two Shiki's in a timeline at once.
Mahoyo takes place in the 80's, KnK and F/Z take place in the 90's, Tsukihime in 2000, and F/SN in 2004.
I always assumed KnK/Tsuki/Fate are all universes parallel to each other, so the same but slightly different, ie we know KnK and Tsuki can't be the same universe as two people with MEoDP can't exist at the same time.
Fate and Tsukihinme are same universe, Kara and Tsukihime are different time-line but same universe, it's complicated but everything is in the same universe but just different time-lines as they are only a chance apart in the Kaleidoscope. Kara and Tsukihime can't happen in the same time-line due to being improbable.
He's fucking invisible.
I thought so too. But look closer
>No battle thong
>Shield that's bigger than her(?)
>Some knight based armor
Another Knight of the Round Table perhaps? God damn TYPE-MOON if they're pulling another Astolfo on us again.
One must die in the womb I guess, you'd probably need magic or something to stop that from happening.
I guess what I meant when I originally asked "what if the new Tsukihime takes place in the same universe as fate" is, what if we get some additional Fate references in the new Tsukihime, maybe with them updating the dates to be more consistent and such.

My Lord. Once more, I shall raise this flag, for this country's---no, this world's salvation
Order has gone up in flames, and so much purpose has been lost. Our future vanished in but a second.
Listen to my words, brave warriors gathered here, legion of heroic spirits who retain their reason!
No matter if you were sworn enemies or no matter how far your time periods apart, now you must entrust your backs to one another!
My true name is Joan of Arc. In the name of my lord, I shall stand as your shield!
This struggle is one that has long endured through the sands of human history.
But there is no need for concern, as untold fateful encounters await you.
Though this entire planet has become the battlefield of the Holy Grail War, though the world has been brought to ruin, though countless formidable foes block your path, the end has still yet to be determined by anyone.
Now, let us begin our fight, Master.
The curtains rise on the largest scale Holy Grail War in history.
Fate/Grand Order, a story of reclaiming the future
Why did Nasu have to make it an RPG and not just a new VN?
The scenario sounds so amazing.
At first I thought it would just be another massive Grail War but on a scale never seen before, but the emphasis on united humanity here makes me think that there is a threat so great that Alaya has summoned not just the Counter Guardians but all the Heroic Spirits to fight it.
The only thing I could think of that would pose such a threat would be a Notes scenario where all the Aristoteles finally land on Earth.

Shit, being a KnKfag is fine.
Looks evil enough to be Caster. Sold.
They're all in the same universe but different time-lines and shit, Extra is a time-line when something happened in the 1970's etc, but you'd have to know shit about the plot of Grand Order in order to know the answer to that one.
So far all we have to know is some rough clues that might make sense later on and raise interest, but don't amount to too much just yet. This might take place at the end of humanity, the fate of the planet. During the trailer that might be the Mooncell or Angya in the sky, but it feels different. Mooncell would give us an answer why all these figures converge, but this feels like something entirely different in a way.
Whatever this is it's a mystery unlike anything before.

You can always trust that something is almost never like what it appears like in the Nasuverse
The clock and the cross are making me think that it's the Knight of Londinium, with a rejigged Jack the Ripper.
You mean we can always trust Archers to be cheating fucks.
Every time Jack it's summoned it's never the real Jack, which kind of fits the elusive nature of the legend.
>Funny Vamp / Temptress
Bonus Points for Joke Classes named so far: Butler, Idol, Gorgeous, Gunner
I keep forgetting about all the other "8th classes". With not just fight a Grail War with 7 new classes at this point? I know all those classes haven't been used in tandem in the same universe but with their bullshit ability to make new ones it should be possible to make 7 more from scratch.
> No Caster-like cloak for not-Hassan
Aw. The braids are cute, though.
In Strange Fake there is the Beautiful Assassin who got all the other Zabaniya. That's enough I think.
A class is just a mold to fit the hero into, new molds aren't hard to make if you're one of the makers of the ritual.
The seven classes often heard of are just the standards according to Nasu, but there are others.
The new ones are usually hacked into the system by people/things who know how. For example, Avenger was Einzbern (morons, why not just leave it as Berserker?), Ruler was the Grail itself because of all the Servant spamming going on, and Saver was, as I recall, the Moon Cell.
To be fair, even the original F/SN stated that the only requisite classes were Lancer, Saber and Archer. I always felt that Urobuchi's copying of the seven classes, and coming up with some stupid excuse to make Rais a caster was a cheap cop out of creativity.
Heck, I think Zero is the only part of the Franchise to not introduce or otherwise toy with the class system.
So it is possible to make a Grail War with seven new classes. I'm surprised no one has toyed with this possibly on the franchise yet. Hell, I'm surprised Fate/Strange is still using the 7 original classes despite being a a"fake grail".
If I recall correctly Iskandar was supposed to be his own new class but Nasu told Butcher it was a no go. The original Rider Urobutcher wanted was some greek hero with a dragon.
Yes, it's theoretically possible to create new classes for a Grail War. You need to be in a position to know how, though. The Einzberns invented the ritual, the Grail itself is the Grail itself, and the Moon Cell is the Moon Cell. It isn't as if just anybody could do it.
>The original Rider Urobutcher wanted was some greek hero with a dragon.
Sounds like either Cadmus or Jason.
Considering the Second ended up with everyone involved dead, and the Third featured the Imperial Army and the Nzi's duking it out, I find your suggestion that the Fourth was the closest thing to a real war absurd.
I meant a real Grail War, where all the rules are followed.
And that doesn't say much, considering how many rules are broken in that one. It's just the least out of all of them.
>If I recall correctly Iskandar was supposed to be his own new class but Nasu told Butcher it was a no go. The original Rider Urobutcher wanted was some greek hero with a dragon.
No, it wasn't like that. They wanted a hero who mounted a dragon, that was Nasu's idea in the first place, but they were not able to found one.
What Uro wanted was a chinese Caster, but Nasu said him that China and Japan heroes are not usually summoned in the Fuyuki Grail as a rule.
>What Uro wanted was a chinese Caster, but Nasu said him that China and Japan heroes are not usually summoned in the Fuyuki Grail as a rule.
Why is that?
Getting summoned in the right area for your legend gives you a fame boost. It makes no sense that people wouldn't regularly try to capitalise on that.
I'm amazed they are focusing Jeanne. I expected at least Nero to be more marketed being Seiba 2.0.
>playing battle moon wars
>no voiced attack
>remembered it's a doujin game
Oh well, with Fate alone, you can make a Super Fate Wars.
The Holy Grail is a fundamentally Western concept, rooted in the Abrahamic faiths. Heroic Spirits from the East therefore have no desire for it, and won't answer it's summons.
No, I mean "closest thing to the concept of the Holy Grail War being fully demonstrated."
All classes normal, no weird shit like Caster summoning a servant, two Sabers, Avenger, nobody managing to summon their servants because they all kill each other, etc.
Not even the same guy but it's not hard to see. No, it's the closest thing to an actual grail war, rather than all out chaos and a complete failure all around.
The rest were just a complete mess that weren't even close to correct, this one despite some problems was the closest to almost being correct in some form. No grail war is supposed to be an honorable duel, it was never going to be that, but this is the closest to an actual grail war.
>nobody managing to summon their servants because they all kill each other
What, it was never said that was happened in the second war, just that it was a bloodbath. But it was probably such a massacre because Servants were involved in the first place.
>Heroic Spirits from the East therefore have no desire for it, and won't answer it's summons.
Didn't stop Sasaki, though. He might not have actually existed, but he still fit the parameters.
I don't know the details of the 2nd Grail War, but how I imagined it was 7 mages in a room, and they all say "3, 2, 1, summon your servant", and then at 0 they all kill each other, with some servants maybe showing up for a few seconds.
I wonder if that's what stopped people from trying to summon Jesus. Besides the whole Divinity rank thing likely being too high. Can't imagine the Church would be too happy with somebody summoning him.
Gil and his waifu Enkidu in the same war
>Enkidu is a Lancer
Shits gonna go full suffering isn't it?
The entire purpose of the Holy Grail War is to sacrifice seven Servants in order to power the Greater Grail, and punch a hole through to the Root.
The Fourth ended with only five Servants dead and inside the Grail, and was the second furthest from fulfilling the War's original purpose.
In regards to what a Holy Grail War should be doing, it was an abysmal failure.
It fails on being the closest thing to a war, and it fails on being the war closest to fulfilling the Grail's purpose.
But why they would summon their Servants in the first room in the first place? It's funny so it works as a joke, but that's all.
The way it was worded it was probably a festival of magi being pricks backstabbing each other and Servants destroying shit without remorse, so it ended with all the involved dead.
Yeah, I know what you mean.
I just find the concept of people thinking that the Fourth War was even remotely close to being "proper", considering how abysmal a fuck up it was in every regards, to be stupid.
It was said that the Second War was so bloody that they made up the rules and the church mediator for the Third, so it was probably magi disregarding the well being of Fuyuki's inhabitants and shit like that.
Also, it was said the Einzbern Master was the first to be defeated.
>1st war; Not enough servants summoned, all around failure, main families end up killing each other only to realize there wasn't even a chance to begin with
>2nd war; literal murder spree where no one survived, Church had to get involved, they ran out the timer. It was the most infamous grail war in the system because of how badly it ended.
>3rd war; complete chaos, Nazis, two Sabers, Avenger, corrupted the grail, war, they broke the grail, just a complete mess on all fronts
>4th war seven servants summoned, grail was completed, everything went as planned as the grail for the first time was full even with two servants still remaining because Alexander was worth a few servants just like Gilgamesh was worth a few servants in HF. It was a complete sucess aside for a master destroying the grail and rejecting it, the first near sucess in the batch as everything actually sort of turned out this time. Instead of the war not even close to being finished, it technically finished, but was rejected.
"No guys, it's the 4th war that was the absolute biggest abyssal mess and clusterfuck, it was the one that was the second farthest away from what it was supposed to be."
4th war was close to being a proper grail war, that doesn't mean a proper magi duel, it means it was the closest to actually happening, proper number of servants, proper grail and going down at all rather than just being a clusterfuck where the Church had to get involved or hundreds died.
Although like I said originally, that's not saying much considering how bad of a fuckup the fourth war was, with Caster requiring Church intvervention, the church mediators being in league with two of the masters, and one of the masters destroying the holy grail.
But all of the other wars were much worse.
>Also, it was said the Einzbern Master was the first to be defeated.
Poor Einzberns. It was like "We invited this little fools who don't know the truth and are just cattle waiting for be sacrificed!" and then they are the first to get wrecked.
>Not enough servants summoned
Has this actually been said somewhere, or is it just fanon? By how it is described in the Einzbern Consultation Room, they always had seven magi and Servants.
IIRC, there were enough Servants, though the Three Families had to initially invite magi to fill the ranks out when they had their initial disagreement and decided to make it a fight.
> one of the masters destroying the holy grail.
I tend to give that one a free pass as the Master in question realized that the Grail was fucked and wasn't going to work right anyway. His fault was having Saber destroy the Lesser Grail rather than the Greater Grail, as without the focus of the Lesser Grail the evilmud just went everywhere.
In the novel, it was said the grail was already complete even without Gilgamesh or Saber in it. It's kind of a plot point when the grail asks for a wish despite those two not in it yet.
In HF it was said the grail was already full after GIlgamesh went in, even without Saber, Berserker, Assassin, Rider, etc.
Some servants are worth a few servants.
As a fellow KnKfag I'm honestly not too put out. Sure, there's space for expansion, but what we've got now is in a pretty good state. The core story was wrapped up perfectly by the end of Mirai Fukuin. I'd rather have KnK stay the way it is forever instead of getting milked for the rest of eternity until it's become a completely drained abomination of commercialism.
>His fault was having Saber destroy the Lesser Grail rather than the Greater Grail, as without the focus of the Lesser Grail the evilmud just went everywhere.
That's not it at all, Shirou also destroyed the lesser grail in Fate route without this consequence, Tohsaka destroyed the lesser grail without this consequence, they don't know Greater Grail is even a thing until third route, that's not the reason he failed.
It's because he destroyed the cup rather than the liquid
Shirou in Fate route aimed for the contents of the cup, the hole in the sky, rather than the cup itself(ilya)
You have to destroy the contents rather than the cup
There's enough Jeanne for everyone, after all she's pretty experienced in handling multiple men
>You can make a wish with just 5 servants dead.
Exactly, which is why Kiritsugu was offered his wish despite two servants still outside the grail. The wish is offered when the grail is complete, but it also requires the right time to be upon them. Angya was going to let Kiritsugu make his wish despite Gilgamesh and Arthur still being outside, it wasn't going to wait, because it was already the promised time.

Jesus had all the powers, that's kind of the point of him being God in the flesh.
he just chose not to use his powers since he had a point to prove about how a man should live, and what he must do in that time. If you want to boil his powers down then it boils down to authority, the world works the way he needs it to based on faith
Accord to the system of the Grail, no. When the lesser Grail is full, it release the content, open the path to Akasha. The greater Grail will keep the path open while the lesser act as a transmitter for magi to send their wish.
It's said in F/SN though that you only need 6. That's why a servant and their master can both make a wish, in theory. As long as you have the lesser grail and it's full enough, you can make your wish. I can't find an exact citation for this right now, but this will have to do:
>Q: What is Illya’s capacity as a Grail? Hypothetically, if the Einzbern won the War, Illya absorbed the other 6 Servants besides Berserker, and had some shred of human will left, could she still don the Dress of Heaven and initiate the Grail ritual?
>A: That’s what Liz and Sella are for. Ilya can only take up to 4 - I would think that absorbing a fifth Servant wouldn’t allow her to function as a human any longer.
Notice the questioner says 6 servants besides Berserker, and Nasu doesn't correct them. That's just a circumstancial quote. The real one was somewhere in F/SN, I just don't have it.
Authority is actually a power listed in Fate CCC, it's a power that only the true types of full divine spirits have, the ability to command the Earth in some way.
They can't use it as much these days due to faith, but back in the day nature itself would bend because they told it to.
The main boss of CCC has obtained such a power.
Also, for what it's worth, here's a wiki quote. But they didn't cite anything, so take it with a grain of salt.
>It is possible to make a wish upon it with only the power of five Servants, allowing it to grant most wishes. It is still incomplete, and will take at least six to bring it into form. Its true purpose, opening a hole to the Root, requires all seven Servants.
I know, I know,
I'm just putting it out there to show that I'm not the only one who remembers that.
Well, one could say that if Jesus died in a HGW it would counter Angry Manjew's wish and purify the grail, fixing the war itself.
I think it would be at least interesting to see that happening.
No, you can't. The lesser grail have no magic and no mana either. Caster able to summon the Grail without active the lesser Grail but she still need to summon it to gran wish.
Less than a week ago I talked to Anonymous here and he STAUNCHLY REFUSED to believe there was going to be more fateshit.
[X] Fucking/Told Faggot
The lesser grail is the one carrying the servants before they go back to the Greater grail. That's why Iri was becoming weaker as the 4th war went on. She was losing her humanity from having all the dead servants inside her.
Absolutely couldn't be, he was furious at Kiritsugu for rejecting it in the end. He was watching the entire time Kiritsugu's dream in jelousy, he was in a rage when he finally awoke and asked how he could turn it down. If Kotomine was offered it then he would accept, but that fact alone you know he was not offered.
No, Kotomine and Kiritsugu were knocked out by the grail mud, Kiritsugu woke up first, Kotomine work up second with a gun to his head, he could only comdemn Kiritsugu for bypassing all he had ever wanted yet again just like before. It was at that point that he finally died, it was only after the fire started that he was alive again. Gilgamesh told Kirei it was Kotomine's will that the fire happened, the joy in his heart at that moment told him all he needed to know about himself.
Right, I remember that.
But that doesn't make sense, after Kerry rejects the grail, Kirei questions him about it and asks for him to be given the grail.
And AM and Kirei share the same wish, so if Kirei was offered the grail, AM would be born then and there.
It was because of what Kiritsugu said to Saber after taking out Lancer and Fast Wheels. It caught the Manjew's attention and convinced him that Kerry was the one for him. Too bad he was wrong as balls. If you care, I can grab the passage for you.
>>Grail + Jesus + Angrymanjew = Be Yandere for everyone?
Angya has a special attribute to become sin, but Jesus has a special attribute to cleanse all sin by taking it upon himself and dying with it, as all sin throughout all time was take upon him in that time and discarded as long as you follow him.
Main point, he's anti-Angya, he's Anti-Sin by nature. All the world's evils are not something that will do anything to him, as he has already conquered such a thing in life.
Hey, I went into several TM threads and said that we were going to get Fate again, or if we were really fucking lucky we'd get Fate with some UBW and HF mixed in to resolve a couple of hanging plotlines from the FZ anime.
Imagine all the egg on my face when UBW series, a HF movie, and no Fate anime at all happened.
>So who will be the last Servant in the new LN? Or the main character.
Saber in this war is a guy who has five command seals, and can summon one servant temporarily with each of them.
It's Fate/STRANGE, as everything is atypical.
I just want to remind everyone that there are now literally people arguing about pure divine beings such as Jesus being summoned in the Heaven's Feel when it was literally stated as not possible in FSN.
That's how awful the lore for the FSN universe has become. Its literally become so bad that people do shit like this. Nothing is canon, but everything is canon.
Fateshit confirmed for worst lore.
Herakles ascended to Olympus and became a true god post-death, yet he can still be summoned in his "demigod son of Zeus" state while still walking as a mortal that can presumably die. So there are loopholes.
Yeah, you're right, I even left out the good/normal endings.
But that was really for the best, because the 8 true endings are called true for a reason and even if the othe ending happened on another timeline, they wouldn't be relevant for this discussion.
>Just then, someone really did speak.
>“…all the evils of this world… it won’t matter… gladly accept it…”
>Aaah, someone was calling ‘It’.
>Blessing and itself were both called by someone.
>Answer him. It must be able to right now.
>The prana whirlpool that had swelled long ago to an incomparable size in the darkness gave ‘It’ a concrete form.
>The endless ‘prayers’ that had been entrusted in the distant past should also be able to be fulfilled right now.
>An ‘existence’ like something that was prayed upon.
>‘Going to do’ all the things that were wished for.
>All the pieces of the puzzle had been assembled.
>The gears of fate grinded together, and were now turning bravely, accelerating with the day of completion as their goal.
>All that’s left – was waiting for the birthing canal to open.
>As ‘It’ dreamed in its shallow slumber, ‘It’ emitted cries that will dye the world crimson red…
>‘It’ also repeated its contractions in the darkness beneath the earth, unknown to anyone else.
The line about accepting all the evils of the world is what Kiritsugu says to Saber after the Kayneth business.
Strange Fake is pure Narita. Everyone expects Baccano levels of madness and chaos here.
Everytime I think Nasu cannot fall any lower, he pulls this shit. I guess this pretty much confirms he doesn't give a fuck about Tsukihime fans or fans of other non-Fate works. I'm glad I quit this shit.
He is actually working in Tsukihime too. He mentions some stuff about it from time to time (like how he said that his Red Dragon character's personality it is kinda like the new Tohno Shiki in the remake.)
They're pretty evenly matched. Enkidu ran out of clay, and Gil ran out of shit to fling at him. That was before he'd completed his vault, but still.
They probably wouldn't fight to the death willingly, but they would fight.
90% of Enkidu's clay countered Gil's entire treasury, back in the day.
Not just ten, twenty, or thirty weapons (Berserker Lancelot capped out at ~30, from what I remember). All of them. Literally, ALL OF GATE OF BABYLON.
And they both had so much fun that they became best bros for life after the fight.
They will do both; they are glad to meet each other again, but they will surely fight it out when they meet again. They can't wait to see each other, but at the same time they both want to have this shit out again upon meeting, because that's their relationship.
First time they ever bonded was over a fight.
He didn't run out of clay as he's made out of clay, but by the end of the battle he had to use his clothes to keep his body held together at all as there was barely a body left at all.
10% of his body was left in the end, it took a bit of time to put it all back together.
Hot damn, this is the best news yet.
Tell me about Assasin, why does he wear the mask?
No, his existent as AM is the wish of people. So went he go into the Grail it gran the wish. This happen because Greater Grail active three time without granting wish so with the accumulate energy able to grant one wish.
But only Christians believe Jesus was a god. I doubt Nasu and friends see him as anything else than a holy man, prophet and or avatar or something. Just like the rest of the world.
Nasu doesn't worship Odin, but he's considered a divine spirit in that universe
Do you not even understand how foolish the thing you just said is? Nasu is all about the Christian symbolism and has shown that he's researched it rather thoroughly, he knows that to Christians Jesus is god. He's not going to go "Well i don't believe Odin is god, so he's just human".
They're all wraiths who get what they deserve, all except for Zealot-chan.
No, I'm a different guy. Nasuverse doesn't have infinite possibilities, it's pretty limited by each planet being a self-contained reality, but your "people are saying Jesus could be a Servant so the entire company of Type-MOON is dumb" argument seems pretty dumb.
People as in random faggots or people as in Nasu?
If it's random people arguing about stupid shit, then congrats, it's every fictional universe ever.
If it's actual TM people, provide a source or fuck off.
Because it's irrelevant to the topic at hand. Attacking the the people that make the argument instead of the argument itself is retarded beyond belief. You probably just want to lump him with "the cancer" so that you can make off-hand generalizations without actually addressing anything he's saying.
Pretty much this. At least Enkidu sees itself as enough of a weapon that it'd do what you say. Until it sees Gil and tells you to fuck off so they can fight and then bro out.
...you didn't answer what the fuck your point is supposed to be? Congrats?
>He was fully divine, but also fully human.
Different guy, but depending on how you take it, this could work. It could be like a Herc or Karna sort of deal, where despite being a god by the end, half of them went to the Throne of Heroes, the other half existed as a Divine Spirit. There could be the "fully human" Jesus with a record in the throne, while the "fully divine" still has essence as a Divine Spirit.
Of course, I'm willing to admit I don't know much about Christianity outside of cursory stuff, so that might not work, but it seems like a viable explanation.
Of course, nobody with authority at TM's said "Jesus is eligible," so it doesn't really matter, this is just a headcanon debate which is urgh.
If Jesus existed he was human. The rest is just some interpretation made by christians. I don't think Nasu or anyone else cares about this unless they are scared of the reactions it could cause but I really doubt there exist christians who would actually get angry because of something like this.
At least not a somewhat modern country but third world places don't sell many manga and anime I guess.
Why the fuck are people arguing about Jesus as a Servant on here? He'd be the shittiest Servant ever, because all of his powers are Authorities, and using Authorities in the modern day kills you.
Yeah, that'd do it.
Bodhisattvas in Nasuverse are above Mother Goddesses, which are way above the strongest Divine Spirits, there's a difference.
...you know the cost is dying 99% of the time, right? Besides, Jesus has a lot of Authorities, but few are really good for Grail Wars. He can turn your blood into wine for like a worse version of Li Shuwen, I guess, but his physical params would be meh so that wouldn't work out.
When I said "infinite possibilities", I meant that the possible situations are infinite, so we can discuss how would a specific heroic spirit fare against another or what would they do in a certain situation, all while obeying the pre-established rules in the series.
The jesus case was just a hypothetical situation, and the real point was if he would balance Angra Mainyu or not.
And so far on this thread everyone was contributing with quality content and on topic discussions with no shitposting, waifuwars or random hate to be noticed.
That is, until you come here and stir this shit up with your cross-board shitposting.
Sorry to say, but if anything, the only autist here is you.
I hope the new LN gives us a few more hints regarding the identity of Caster.
Gae Bolg's a step away from Authorities, except it's better because it basically does what an Authority does without the cost. Jesus doesn't have a "you die, no questions asked" authority.
On the Mooncell all divine spirits become truth above natural phenomenon, meaning authority works in perfection, it works all out.
Anything like Budda or Jesus instantly becomes highest tier there because they have all the powers.
Some people don't seem to understand that they would still be high as fuck tier even on Earth though, because being the most some of the most worshiped figures on Earth at the moment gives a large boost. He's got abilities, but there isn't another figure more legendary than Jesus.
>which are way above the strongest Divine Spirits, there's a difference.
No there isn't, on the Mooncell divine spirits become truth, which is why fully Ammy who has become the Sun itself in the Mooncell is said to be basically the strongest one in CCC or Extra. Even counting Kiara or otherwise, it's said only Arcuied with full power stands a chance against Ammy.
Even one who has become a Bodhisativa, she is said not to stand a chance against Ammy. In the Mooncell you are truth if you are said to have that sort of power
>Jesus doesn't have a "you die, no questions asked" authority.
Someone doesn't remember that time he did exactly such a thing against a Fig Tree, and a kid in an apocrypha book.
Yeah, I know how it works within Moon Cell. I mean outside of Moon Cell. A Bodhisattva in Moon Cell is weaker than a Divine Spirit in there because the deification of natural phenomenon is elevated, etc etc.
Outside of Moon Cell, if the battlefield is earth, it goes:
True Demons (fully incarnated) = TYPEs >= Bodhisattvas > Mother Goddesses > Father of Light Divine Spirit >= Divine Spirits (living) > Divine Spirits (downgraded) > Heroic Spirits > Servants
Without Moon Cell shenanigans weighing them down, Bodhisattvas can have domain over a solar system. It's monstrous.
Fox Face in Moon Cell though is ridiculous. Even outside of Moon Cell she's ridiculous, she has a power of 38 million in comparison to a Servant's power of 100.
I think you just misunderstood what I said, because you're right but non-responsive, as we're basically agreeing.
I probably missed this then. What was the evidence for that? The last time I checked the discussions people were suggesting a few authors but the hints in the text weren't specific enough.
Kiritsugu : "Even if I am to carry "all the evils of this world", it won't matter. If that can save the world, then I'd gladly accept it."
>saving the world
>Is this rotten world worth saving ?
What does Kiritsugu want from Holy Grail really ?
Change the world into Heaven ?
Messiah that can heal everyone's disease ?
Is there really a better solution than kill few evil people, save many innocent ?
Not him but I didn't know this. I stay away from spoiler threads and haven't read Apocrypha yet. Well, that surely helps.
I hope it won't take too long anymore until the first volume get's fully translated.
I'm not sure you know what we're talking about
In the Bible Jesus once gave a fig tree the touch of death, and there are certain apocryphal books of the Bible which are currently considered as much where Jesus tamed dragons and told a kid to die, and he did.
Touch of death is one of Jesus powers, he's got all that sort of stuff going on if he wants. Though it wasn't something he ever felt need to use since he wasn't here to judge anyone, but to forgive them. The fig tree didn't have any fruit for him so he killed it, and then gave a parable to his followers about how a servant who gives nothing will only fall to ruin.
I wouldn't take that number seriously. King Protea is roughly on-par with Amaterasu, and yet she can be taken down by several Servants. Numerically, a lot of things Nasu says don't stack up at all.
He directly called Protea a world-breaker or universal nightmare if left to her own power.
What he said in that entry wasn't devaluing such a being, rather he meant the opposite, that no one servant could ever kill this thing no matter how powerful.
Single servants aren't much compared to the gods, but when you start grouping them up then serious shit starts going down. Arcueid herself said that humans have the special bonus of "working together" that makes them strong, so when the strongest humans start working together to become even stronger..
Well, suffice to say the round table was much more impressive than it sounds.
Even among the Servant ranks, you'll have some with the firepower of several. I'm sure the point was never that Protea isn't ridiculous, but that you can't quantify powerlevels the way Nasu has done with the nine tails.
The mongrel gods are no match for my treasures!
>Even among the Servant ranks, you'll have some with the firepower of several.
Gilgamesh himself says that he was far too arrogant and foolish when he realizes he's taking on the power of Protea in CCC, he thought he had a chance depending on what divine spirit BB had taken power from, but upon realizing all he could do was apologize for his arrogance.
If even he cannot do it, then no one servant can fight that thing. You'd need a very decent group to even attempt it.
Caster is the one with that much power as a full nine-tailed fox. Amaterasu is a completely different being of which Caster was an incarnated facet. Amaterasu is probably stronger numerically, but that doesn't seem to mean much overall. Nine-tails seems to be on the same level as Gilles' creature and full Gorgon Medusa, which could shred through most heroes aside from those especially built to slaughter them.
Giles creature lost to a single servant, and Nine Tails Tamamo is said to be as strong as a hundred servants at least.
Gilles Beast is more than a single servant usually, but really isn't that strong, it can lose to most anti-fortress NP's out there. Gorgan Medusa only has power as well, while she still also lost to a single man with an NP. They aren't really on the same level as a divine spirit, as that was a very very small elder god type, and Gorgan dropped in power compared to her original status as an Earth spirit when she became just a monster.
Why do you think I said except those specifically built to defeat them? Very few heroes have above Anti-Army Noble Phantasms, and a grand majority of heroes would be immediately petrified by the Gorgon, let alone have the ability to deal with Breaker Gorgon or have the firepower to deal with it. Caster was defeated by armies that probably contained heroes after slaughtering at least 80,000 people. It would likely be the same for the other two as well.
It's something that can barely reach the level of a divine spirit is normally, like a baby being able to just barely punch as hard as an adult under special circumstances, but one punch isn't going to take out another adult most of the time just as Excalibur wouldn't take out a true divine type normally.
Caster's beast was a monster by normal magus standards, but in ti's own terms it was a small one.
Of course not, Saber can't beat a living DS, I just mean in regards to "Giles creature lost to a single servant". He lost to a single Servant, sure, but that Servant used a Divine Spirit-level attack to beat him, so saying "he lost to a single Servant" is kinda misleading.
That said, while it was an eldritch abomination, it was pathetically weak to what a full extradimensional evil god (AKA True Demon-kin) would have been. Like, not worth comparing.
I'd still say that neither of those beasts came close to a living divine spirit at all, you said that Nine-Tails was probably at the same level, but the difference is far more than you would think whether it's numbers or otherwise. No normal servant would stand a chance against one of those types which are above them by nature, even if there was one who had a very special advantage to them it's not something that should be so easily breached.
Gods aren't all that. There are different tiers, else we wouldn't have god-slaying Noble Phantasms being an example. I think Cu's teacher is also noted to have killed some. Nine-tails is a strong monster, but ones like Amaterasu are the "nothing can beat her alone tier". It's even noted that several Servants could take even her down like with Arc. I really don't see nine-tails tanking Excalibur, nor do I see her getting past a set of extremely specific Noble Phantasms meant to counter against all of her specific abilities like with Medusa.
I can see Nine Tails tanking Excalibur well enough, it's no normal monster at that level. Look up on it a bit more, but just as Gilgamesh is noted for his power in Extra so were both high forms of Caster.
The miracle the nine tails achieved at the end of CCC without even fusing together is enough to show a bit of that sort of power.
