you know damn well the answer to this. fucking jews.
That said, I'm eagerly awaiting the first Oculus MMO.
It's funny you mention that, because a SAO MMO is in the race for first Oculus Rift MMO.
Zucker doesn't own VR. The Oculus Rift isn't even VR. Disney has had this shit since at least 2000, I remember playing a Jedi simulator.
Anyway, it's not VR, it's closer to AR if you really need to compare it.
It's not for me.
It's for her.
I feel like I ruined a girl-made-in-in-10-minutes-who-belongs-in-a-porn-videogame's life.
And that feels worse than it has any right to do, I don't know why.
Kinda hard to fuck with your underwear still on.
I wonder if an anon will want to play pretend with me.
I'll be the girl.
That's like saying if Zucker bought out every mouse and keyboard manufacturer we wouldn't be able to play h-games. It's just an input device. Facebook owning Oculus changes nothing.
You're playing it down.
I'm pretty sure it will have something that disturbs our privacy, some NSA bullshit.
Also, it will be totally commercialized now.
Exactly that virtual reality thing is going to be held back, and people will be pleased with stupid mini games and a Half Life 3 on VR (although that might be kinda cool).
VR devices have, at most, 3 competitors right now, and only 2 that are actually marketable right now (Oculus and Google Cardboard). Until the big companies see some results from this new VR gear, they aren't going to throw money into developing a version of their own.
Surely you meant to type Morpheus.
Yes but it's not meant to be a practical VR device, it's a blatant gimmick to get people aware of and interested in VR, and I doubt it's working since nobody's aware of cardboard yet.
Ugh... it'll just work like any screen or other form of video-output. Just develop a game compatible with it and fucking play it. If that won't work, buy Samsung's or Sony's VR-headset...
That guys improved a lot since then.
Did you see the video of pic related?
They did an idolmaster and SAO too but this is the only one where they showed off a video. Already getting support from these devs, this will be the actual waifu sim device.
Which means it's no more VR than a wiimote, because the wiimote lets you move stuff like swords in Zelda like you're really holding a sword. My point stands, this is nothing new. Come back when we have shit like Nerv Gear.
The problem is when you go outside of that environment. VR requires at least 60FPS and 1080p to run correctly and the PS4 doesn't quite have the muscle to simply just 'do' that yet.
Still, pretty awesome demo, although I'm more surprised they didn't do an actual collab with Im@s itself. Not that Chihaya would be the best thing to illustrate 3D.
Well someone's really fucking hard to please, aren't we. The wiimote isn't really supposed to make you feel immersed. It's a fun party gimmick. The entire purpose for the rift is immersion.
You're talking like the Rift is the first ones to do this. Again, Disney has had this since at least 2000, and what's more is that you were connected to other players while you did it. You hear that? Disney had MULTIPLAYER "VR", and they had a small light saber replica that worked like the wii-mote, i.e. it moved in the "VR" the same way as you moved the replica in the real world The Rift is shit compared to it, the only thing it has going to it is it's advertisement. Again, the Rift is NOT new. It's been around for almost 15 years.
Motion we have in real life and video are different. Remember videos are the illusion of movement, many images played quickly. Real life is not that which is why 60fps looks so different then looking at real life. 24 to 30 fps is what is closest to emulating real life, so if anything 60fps is the incorrect setting devs should be using.
Besides all this there are 1080p 60fps shit running on ps4 and xbox.
No, it isn't. You're not listening, Disney's was exactly the same except it was multiplayer and was connected to a wii-mote-like controller. The Oculus Rift sucks, it has shit dimensions and gives most people headaches from use.
>24 to 30 fps is what is closest to emulating real life
>24 to 30 fps is what is closest to emulating real life
You shouldn't speak of that which you do not know nor understand...
While Morpheus will in all likelihood be the go to VR thing, it'll be hindered by FoV issues and the lack of any actual hentai/porn style games.
OR at the very least can still have independent developers working on it that have nothing to do with Facebook.
CGi or not, its still many images played quickly hence fps. Not real movement. Between 60fps and 30fps or less, 30fps emulates real life more.
Why do you think the hobbit which was filmed at 48fps looked weird? It was out or realms with what human movement should look like.
Oculus devs say the fps has a BIG impact on how VR feels. 120fps Minecraft feels a more realistic than 30fps battlefield 4
>Besides all this there are 1080p 60fps shit running on ps4 and xbox.
Yeah but VR needs to render in STEREO aka it renders the same thing twice from different viewpoints.
It looked wierd for being a movie, when I watched it in 48fps it reminded me a lot more of theater. Motion blur reduces the need of higher FPS, but the natural motion blur that of a camera is a lot different than the inferior emulated motion blur.
Have you ever watched 60 fps porn? It feels a lot more real than your run off the mill 24 fps porno.
The Hobbit looked weird because it was overdone with CGi to the point where actual actors weren't even on the screen half the time. 48 fps had nothing to do with it.
You can clearly tell the difference between 30fps and 60fps, and 60fps looks leagues smoother. Why do you think youtube is starting to go this route as well and it's finally taking off after all these years, because it's smoother. People only do the 24fps shit, because it's what they latch onto as popular in the movie industry when directors don't want to actually put forth the effort to have a movie run in 60fps.
Since government backdoors are mandatory for most of today's online devices, I wonder what kind of backdoor will be in these advanced VR devices? In the meantime, Berserk's author will be busy with VR versions of iDOLM@STER.
Like watching a SoL show from the perspective of the room, where you can walk around but not interact with the characters. Essentially 24 minute long cutscenes.
I'd much rather see Muv Luv on something like this, it's as if you don't even want PTSD.
>Like watching a SoL show from the perspective of the room, where you can walk around but not interact with the characters. Essentially 24 minute long cutscenes.
Yeah, and I'm saying that's not anime at all.
Female fear of the Waifu Age CONFIRMED
Why Youtube use 30 fps for so long? Before I watch a video on nico nico I always thought Youtube videos are in 60 fps like all things in the world. Now Youtube videos look "laggy" for me.
Damn those 60 fps nico nico videos.
I gave up because video game children only hear what they want to hear. 60fps does look unnatural which is why soap operas and hobbit didn't look right. We don't have the technology to see real movement outside witnessing it in real life. What we have is the illusion of movement which is how we make whatever, think of a flip book. Several images flashing one after the other. At 60fps, it no longer resembles real life movement.
kobato and maria, now thats living freely
So your defending your statement because you want to feel good about your potato PC?
'4D' is a term that's been used in 3d theaters for ages.It refers to things like the seat in front of you spraying water at you when water splashes on the camera on screen, or a breeze through the theater when there's heavy winds in the movie. Also includes moving seats / theaters.
It's not literal 4D but that anon clearly wasn't referring to the literal.
No, you're not.
You're not making any sense.
frames per second is refresh rate. It's how many frames there are in a second.
Real life has no frames per second because light is constantly being reflected and emitted. They're functionally infinite.
Human eyes might not be able to process it this fast, but that's irrelevant because we're talking about how much the image we're seeing is moving. And it will always be more realistic to use higher frames.
Furthermore anyone who claims they can't see a difference between sub 30fps and around 60 fps is either blind or lying.
Most posters are misusing the term "VR". Virtual reality needs to deal with the various senses such as smell, taste, and physical sensation (pressure, pleasure, pain, hot, cold, and itch). What OR offers is a heightened sense of immersion as opposed to virtual reality.
Pirate movie downloaders will find themselves directed to VR "anti piracy" training lessons which have no logout button.
I just googled it. I would cut my lifespan in half if I could give whoever gave that shit the "4D" denomination a slow death with the most intense suffering imaginable. The autist in me is screaming.
>the future will let me fulfill my vore porn
I recently got to give their newest version a try.
While the resolution has definitely improved, it's still not comparable to a modern monitor. For example if you're playing a flight simulator you can't read the instruments unless you get really close to them. It doesn't look like you're watching through a screen door any more though, so things have definitely improved.
A major problem is however that the effect of depth isn't as strong as some might believe. Depth perception isn't only achieved by looking at things from two different angles, but it's also achieved through the adjustment the eye has to make to view things sharply. In this case there is no such adjustment though, because everything is at the same distance from you - both far distance object as well as things right in front of you. 3D movies often artificially achieve this effect through depth of field filters, but with a game this obviously doesn't work because the player decides what to look at and he doesn't follow a static camera path.
It is however a big step ahead in technology and not nearly as crappy as the virtual boy was.
>Most posters are misusing the term "VR". Virtual reality needs to deal with the various senses such as smell, taste, and physical sensation (pressure, pleasure, pain, hot, cold, and itch). What OR offers is a heightened sense of immersion as opposed to virtual reality.
Actually human vision is the majority of our senses. It's why the back of our brain is dedicated to nothing but visual analysis. Ad that to proper 3D audio and you cover more than 50% if not 60% of our senses.
That's not how it works. This is the internet, pirates win by default. Any piece of software can be cracked or modded. All anti-piracy efforts are futile. This is axiomatically true.
It's probably possible (but maybe very far off) to have a camera look at the eye and tell what distance it's focusing on, and apply a filter to the image in response. I don't think we'll truly be in the waifu age until we can simulate touch, though.
I don't think cameras would be too effective, but you could in theory track the iris and derive what the viewer is looking at. I wouldn't be surprised if things like that are planned, especially with the facebook deal in mind, given that ad companies would pay a fuckload of jewgolds for the data on what customers look at, how effective their ads and the placements are, etc.
As cool as full body VR sounds, I'm a little bit unsure at the prospect of getting elective brain surgery to experience it
This actually seems pretty feasible. Accurate eye tracking technology already exists, so the biggest problems would be integrating it and getting the latency low enough to apply the filters correctly in real time.
Found that guys article too.
Looking at this makes me want to see some brain surgery videos.
I won't be the first person to go through with augmenting any part of my body, but I will definitely be the second
VR is a cancer on humanity and will lead to our extinction if we can't come together against it now. SAO is the bible of VR apologists who only see the world as a harsh reality to be escaped from. VR enthusiasm is escapism. Escapism is evil. It will kill us all.
>More frames you increase, the less you brain fills in, the less the “magic”.
The More frames you increase, the less you brain fills in, the less the “magic”.
The More frames you increase, the less you brain fills in, the less the “magic”.
>The More frames you increase, the less you brain fills in, the less the “magic”.
Might as well go and read a book instead of watching movie.
i don't think we'll truly be in the waifu age until i can enter a boarding home, sign over all of my possessions, get strapped into a bed and up to a bunch of gadgets, be forced into a coma with meds and wake up in the world of VR next to my waifu, so i can live happily ever after with her, never returning to reality ever again.
It'll be much easier to make androids then creating actual virtual reality. I'll go with that then becoming brain dead by surgery
I want my Time of Eve now.
let's be real here. when will VR shit actually enter the consumer market? we hear all about oculus rift and the sony thing, but when will that stuff actually become mainstream products? how many years?
Technology is growing at an exponential rate, people forget that it only took the internet 25 years.
Might not be the same thing as that, but Oculus Rift has a lot of applications outside of make vr waifu. So I give it 10 years give or take.
>mfw I have a DK2
W-what can I do, /a/? I haven't even thought of using it this way. Is anything available right now?
on an unrelated note, what is the best way to commit suicide?
Mainstream products don't matter. Otaku aren't mainstream and they all have computers. Oculus alone is good enough for companies to experiment. Illusion is already working with Oculus for example.
Only if you were really a girl or a really convincing trap
Nigga, I've been looking around and trying to get my hands on the fucking Custom Maid 3D with the onahole that you plug on the PC for mine since I got a DK1 ever since I got it.
Origami? I'd fuck her virtual pussy so much she'd be pregnant.
You're pretty delusional if you think anything important will change. At worst, we might get a facebook button on the side like those retards at Sony did to their Playstation controller.
Don't tell me what to do.
>You're doing it wrong. Providing stimulus for each senses is time, and space, consuming. It's a lot more efficient to just mess with the brain.
Well first we need a way to install the equivalent of a USB port, and also to have the equivalent of external storage. The idea being you leave your organic bits alone and only install things into a separate hard drive that you can easily upgrade or replace. This would be necessary for compatibility, as every brain is different.
No, my brain just decided to not give a fuck anymore and suddenly stopped combining the image of both eyes. But I am kind of a pirate in the sense that I have no depth perception and I trip with everything.
>immersive VR dating simulator/VN type of game
>set in a japanese high school
>you can interact with any of your classmates
>most of the guys are just bland cutout characters with repeating dialogue, the girls are where the meat of the game is
>you can stumble upon new girls by walking around the school grounds before, during, or after classes
>if you mess up dialogue options they like you less
>they all have unique traits and personal issues (major and minor)
>if you solve their problems, they like you more and continuing to pursue them opens their routes
>if you're really suave you get to become more than friends early
and once you're locked into a route
>visit her house
>have first kiss
>go on cute dates
>panic about what present to give to her on her birthday, vague clues are given in dialogue
>eventually get to have sex with her, which is sort of the goal of the game, but it could also go even deeper and have true ends be you and her living happily together as a family
it's a really ambitious idea but with the right planning the final product could be great.
Not sure of how to describe it. She just danced to Nekomimi Switch in skimpy clothes while I was ogling her like a pervert. It was almost like being a kid and finding out about hentai for the first time again. You need a bit less stimuli to get off. Just imagine having an MMD model dancing in front of you in real life but everything is pixelated and your field of view is more narrow, and so on.
MESS itself? I haven't really had any problems, just downloaded and ran it. I launch it in extended mode. Making a shortcut and adding -force-d3d11 to it supposedly removes judder when running in direct mode.
Get an eyepatch and use it to see in the dark, it's not like both eyes are busy anyway.
>not jerking off with your parents
oh my god, I'm simultaneously about to cry and about to bust a nut.
that's not fucking fair
>not wanting to support the future
>You can keep playing the game and keep aging together as a couple while your children become compatible with new user who will try to attain permission from you before getting to THAT step.
>You can either allow or deny that to your children to be with such person but depending on their love meter they can still run away with them.
>You're waifu will convince you to allow it if she calculates that it's true love.
I sort of like it. Specially if you could go work your ass off and come back just to plug yourself into the computer and live the rest of your day there.
>Making a shortcut and adding -force-d3d11 to it supposedly removes judder when running in direct mode.
Well, that helps. Have you seen anyone doing any new releases for MMD? I saw some where you could have them lay next to you as you sleep but I haven't found any more than just videos online.
the idea of having an MMO dating game with functional genetics where every existing date-able girl in-game is the result of a previous player's playthrough makes me kind of excited.
>You need a bit less stimuli to get off.
I guess this was a stupid comment. You get so much stimuli that you need less extreme content is what I meant
I don't know, really. I just got my DK2 a day or two ago and haven't tried anything other than the mainstream stuff.
No, just grateful. It's unusual on here, I know.
Not that anon since I have the DK1 but it's neat really. I'm not sure how DK2 is graphics wise but I liked it. Just wished that I had my hands on more shit but it can't be helped.
Not that guy, but got one a few days ago too.
The resolution still sucks (it's roughly the same number as pixels per degree of vision as watching a SNES on an old tv from a normal distance, imagine stacking dozens of those screens to fill your vision). It needs a 4k display, the CV1 is probably going to be 1440p and normalfags will complain.
but the tracking is silky smooth in software that uses all the features of the DK2. You literally cannot notice any delay when turning, looking around, leaning etc and there is zero smearing or motion blur except a tiny bit of smudging on the darkest blacks, which is some kind of issue with the OLED display.
needs for more software, less cables
There's pixels, shitty FoV, chromatic aberration, black bleed, iffy tracking, and so on, but those are DK2 issues. The concept itself is actually real, there's tangible depth. Ever held a finger up against your face and looked at something far away? You see two fingers. The same effect occurs here. I couldn't stop smiling like a retard when I first put the headset on. The horizon isn't just a line anymore, it's infinity. Things that are large look large. I almost cried just from looking at the skybox while Gumi was dancing.
I hope we're alive in 10 years because when this technology has been given time to mature, we will experience some shit I tell you. VR _will_ soon take off and it _will_ change the world, the question is when.
If you guys hate reality so much, why do you want your virtual reality to be realistic at all?
The current state as well as the laws that apply to it are shit.
In a virtual one the current laws can't apply if they aren't set in the first place, for example making humans fly with no mechanisms but rather their own minds or even fuck a cat girl which with the current technology can't be made and if they were it would be bad at that or have a rather shorter than normal life in this reality.
Pray tell, what happens to those of us with unpopular waifus /a/? No one is going to made a 3d model of may waifu...
I want to hold Uni down and fuck her brains out in front of Gear and Noire.
I am sure that there will be a bunch of people doing commissions.
>Have the opportunity to live life with your waifu
>Someone else do it
Jeezus Christ anon, you move fucking heaven and earth to make it happen. Get gud at 3d art or earn enough capitol so you can commission someone to make her.
Fucking hell, I'm just glad your waifu isn't around to hear this shit, she deserves better than you.
Well yes. The species are based off of females. Males features are developed later in pregnancy. It's the reason males have nipples. You just need to trick the brain into thinking you can still do it.
Would using electrodes to provide signals rather than reading them fail? If so wouldn't it be better to just somehow get a plug connected to the spine like in The Matrix and just plug yourself to the PC?
I know about that part. However I'm pretty sure science has always been a trial and error ordeal and given those who might be able to pull it off there's quiet a few who would risk it.
I know I would because I literally have nothing to loose.
Just tap into any other nerve. You don't ned to to use the spine. Look at the experiments their doing for prosthetic limps. Their using nerve endings of their damaged lime to send signals to the robotic limb. Shits getting pretty advanced.
Your waifu already exists, creating a model of her isn't creating her. A model of her isn't really her unless you want it to be. I'll sit with my daki (her) and making a model of her together, then we can fuck.
I don't see how that's confusing.
Tulpas are something you make in your head till the point that you see it like if it was really there and interact with it.
Nope. It was an /x/ thing but /mlp/ came to be and now it's a little frown upon.
Cybernetic Engineer here
At the moment implants like >>113327686 are rejected by the body. Basically what happens is scar tissue builds up around the electrodes and interferes with the signal.
There are ways to suppress this response but they also suppress you immune system so don't expect and elective procedure like this.
What we have found is that the brain responds to em waves as well as emitting them. So rather than directly connecting a wire to your brain it is possible transmit the sensations via wireless transmissions at specific frequencies. Whilst this isn't nearly as effective as direct electrode stimulation at the moment it is much less invasive and bypasses the issues with rejection.
Most research is going in to these kinds of augmentations rather than the full Deus ex kind
It also is an interesting development if your in to /x/ explaining shit
Not exclusively. If I'm remembering correctly, it's a self-induced fragmentation of the psyche that causes you to actively hallucinate someone/something being there. A lot of bronies tried to do it (and some failed hilariously spectacularly, like one guy that ended up with a deformed, perpetually screaming tulpa pony and killed himself)
Let me put it like this- by the time invasive spinal surgery becomes an feasible option for controlling video games you will probably have seen brain transplants and other kinds of crazy shit. Waifus and VR are small time compared to that.
Would any of you feel ashamed inside while using this for such purposes?
>So rather than directly connecting a wire to your brain it is possible transmit the sensations via wireless transmissions at specific frequencies. Whilst this isn't nearly as effective as direct electrode stimulation at the moment it is much less invasive and bypasses the issues with rejection.
HA! I KNEW IT!
So in reality with the proper headset we could literally make one of those headsets like in .hack or SAO but would have to watch out for over radiation right?
Because it's a fictional substance
Any actual drug that messes with your immune response is not recommended if you don't need it.
Please don't bring SAO into this
Forgive what I said.
Just meant it because properly the original helmet they use on SAO would properly cover the areas where electrodes could be position rather than the smaller googles they use on .hack.
bring out your inner autism and get a 3d modelling program and recreate your waifu from a cube vertex by vertex.
thats what i did. got to find the model again so i can make it better so i can use it with VR
I don't understand the appeal of Tulpas. Lucid dreaming is much easier to learn, more immersive and doesn't need self-induced schizophrenia.
>tfw one day you will have someone offer to make a perfect model of your waifu compatible with a future waifu simulator
>tfw this would allow you to live with your waifu virtually for the rest of your life
>tfw the price you have to pay would be your dick
Would you give up your dick /a/ to virtually live with your waifu?
>you have full control fo your body during lucid dreaming, but that full control is what wakes you up since you end up moving irl
Thats the whole point. When I lucid dream I just go with the flow and change shit subconsciously.
"Full control" just ruins everything. You need to know a middle ground and its usually very minor.
The reason I say "don't bring SAO into this" is the same reason I want to strangle Stephen Hawking. Mr Hawking recently went on the record as saying he's afraid of the possibles that come with AI, and everyone shit their pants. Mr Hawking is a very smart man, but he's a astrophysicist, not a computer scientist. When he talks about it he uses pop culture references like Terminator.
Now I'm an engineer, not a neurologist, so I can't say for certain, and the whole "Over Radiation" Thing seems some what plausible to the point where your higher functions shut down, but your vital functions are incredibly redundant, I think in the worst case scenario such a system may be able to force you into a coma, but I think that's the worst.
Don't talk about it because if there is an unjustified media backlash against it out of fear it makes the developers life a hell of a lot more difficult.
We're talking about blasting em waves into your brain
It will literally be a helmet you put on. I suppose it's possible to make an organic transmitter that does this but... A) its a different means to the same end and B) We don't have the ability to create organisms like that. If we did we'd be vat growing waifus.
We Bladerunner now
Its a research area that's not getting funding, let it go anon.
gotta catch 'em all
I hate lucid dreaming, which I seem to do all the time now for whatever reason. For some reason, it always start with me being stuck in a mall/school parking lot trying to find my car with no luck. That sense of dread until I force myself to go do something else.
Ah, that. Yeah, I have to agree with that.
On the other hand, aren't scientists worried that if an AI is made to think like a human it would also make mistakes like a human or becomes sentient or something like that?
Then they probably weren't lucid dreams. Lucid dreaming isn't just awareness of dreaming, it's having full cognitive control where your prefrontal cortex is awake but the hallucinations in your visual/auditory areas are persisting. Awareness can trigger the latter, but it comes down to brain areas actually being active or not.
Listen to this faggot
He's a faggot, but it's cited.
You're talking about Artifical General Intelligence, which we're not really working on. AIs that are being developed at the moment are highly specialized and still use the Turing method of calculation. IBM appraently has come out with a new "neural chip" but I've not managed to get my hands on article article so... I don't know about that one.
There is the possibility that these independent AIs could link up and form an AGI network kind of like the Geth from Mass Effect, but it's considered low.
And then there's the logic that a lot of Computer scientists use is a little crazy. Basically there is a cultist kind of notion that if we do make an AGI and it does wipe out the human race then it doesn't really matter.
Flesh is weak.
Metal is eternal.
>we propably won't reach satisfying AIs in our life time
Awe come on, Anon-kun. You gotta keep them hopes up, 20 years ago computers where huge, human character models in vidyas looked like rocks. Look at us now! It's happening, it's inevitable
Physicists can't do metaphysics, son. Leave that to the thinking men of the world.
Reality is fundamentally ideational and as a result there are various definite truths which in essence do indicate that people aren't experiencing things from the sensory or even mental plane, but this doesn't mean we're a VRMMO or that there's any sort of higher consciousness than us. What it does mean is that something is able to observe noumenon, but to credit 'aliums' or 'the men outside the box' with that sort of observational capacity is a bit generous to say the least. Instead, what is definitely sure is that we DO have a total reality, the "Tree Which Peers Into the Spiral of Its Roots", but that Tree is as high up the hierarchy of being that anyone below it might possibly conceive of, at the very least, and I'm inclined to believe that it is indeed the ultimate reality.
>>we propably won't reach satisfying AIs in our life time
You don't need true AIs. Not for what you want them for. Seriously, true AIs are independent and unpredictable, the exact opposite of what you actually want. You want repeatable reliable responses with limited capacity to go off script.
I don't think I would use OR for this purpose. I'd feel like filth just sitting in my bed, alone, emulating contact with a non-existent being. I'd probably consider it if I was put into a comatose state like in sword art.
Which? The possibility that we're all NPCs or the notion that AIs might one day exterminate the human race?
If its the former... You're not the center of the universe, Clap clap, well done.
If its the latter, I assure you that the most promising AGI research is coming from the field of full human-AI integration. And even if the do exterminate us, we're going to die anyway, our sun will burn out and entropic decay will make the universe a cold and desolate place. An AGI could live forever.
>Physicists can't do metaphysics, son. Leave that to the thinking men of the world.
I was tempted to stop reading there, philosophers are stuck looking into literature that's at the very best 70 years old and more often 2000 years old, stuck in their ivory towers and unaware that the world is so much more different that it was even 10 years ago.
We're not saying that it's a VRMMO, but it's a very simple analog discussing the possible repercussions of holographic reality. And if you're going to claim the mantle of "Thinking Man" At least read Plato. This isn't metaphysics, this is actual physics and us trying to rectify the discrepancy between Newtonian physics and Quantum physics and the most supported and viable theory at the moment is the holographic principle.
You've seen through me
Can't fucking wait.
The fuck? There's no discrepancy between them. In fact, just quantize classical field theory quantities and quantum theory would sit in comfortably with classical mechanics.
If you meant to say general relativity then the problem is the unrenormalizability of QFT in curved spacetime. QFT is perfectly consistent with only the geometry curved spacetime, but uncancellable divergences arise when gravitational fields and interactions are to be quantized (Parker and Toms 2006).
>"... the most supported and viable theory at the moment is the holographic principle."
This dribble is the consequence of m
