Best goddess or bestest goddess of all animu?
>That latest chapter
Dear god. Why are they so great together?
If only she had been the protagonist
fugher furiosly and then pat her head.
>implying not picrelated
>implying you wouldn't do anything for her smile
I really hope we get a happy ending to this, instead of something bittersweet with the realization that gods and humans shouldn't mingle after all.
It is very much possible, but I still hope for something happy and saccharine. Even Uka staying a god, Touka staying a human, him growing old and dying, but them being together until then would be acceptable to me. I just don't want it to end with them being separated and sad.
...not gonna lie. If I didn't know better I'd think the same
Uka staying human and having a relatively normal life would be best end. No holes barred end he somehow because immortal and they're together for ever.
Frankly I don't even care what happens with Inari or her boyfriend.
>Uka staying human and having a relatively normal life would be best end.
It is definitely the end I'm hoping for. It would take some kind of a miracle but in a story with gods and all it shouldn't be too out of place.
I am reading this manga just for Uka and her relationship. Fuck Inari, I don't like her. She's really annoying. I skipped through most of things that didn't have anything to do with Uka.
>that (latest) chapter
All this HAPPENING make waiting for next(?) month even worse.
Yeah, that's true, too. I think their relationship in general has been pleasantly balanced, in a way. I mean, not like one of them pursues the other or always takes the initiative. Instead both of them are sometimes proactive and sometimes drop spaghetti all over the place.
>all this lewd
Why I haven't been aware of its existence?
They have an interesting dynamic going. From Touka's perspective it seems a bit more like seinen manga than the shoujo vibes you get when the story flips back to Inari's side of the story.
It was Uka's hand wrapped around Touka's.
She's not even the best girl in her own series.
>tfw there will never be /ss/ doujins made of Uka and shota Touka
>Preferring /ss/ over >>113775044
Another Uka doujin from the same circle as the above one
Another Uka doujin, this time from the Neko to Hato circle
Dunno these last two have been scanned.
Since she's a fox goddess, does that mean she's a fox in human form?
Though there are many different gods/goddesses in Shinto that have been and are associated with Inari in different times/regions, so Inari may be better viewed as a title that a kami might hold, rather than individual kami.
From the wikipeds:
"Inari is sometimes identified with other mythological figures. Some scholars suggest that Inari is the figure known in classical Japanese mythology as Ukanomitama or the Kojiki's ?getsu-Hime; others suggest Inari is the same figure as Toyouke. Some take Inari to be identical to any grain kami.
Inari's female aspect is often identified or conflated with Dakiniten, a Buddhist deity who is a Japanese transformation of the Indian dakini, or with Benzaiten of the Seven Lucky Gods. Dakiniten is portrayed as a female or androgynous bodhisattva riding a flying white fox. Inari's association with Buddhism may have begun in the 8th century, when Shingon Buddhist monk and founder, K?kai, took over administration of the temple of T?ji, and chose Inari as a protector of the temple. Thus, Inari is still closely associated with Shingon Buddhism to this day.
Inari is often venerated as a collective of three deities (Inari sanza); since the Kamakura period, this number has sometimes increased to five kami (Inari goza). However, the identification of these kami has varied over time. According to records of Fushimi Inari, the oldest and perhaps most prominent Inari shrine, these kami have included Izanagi, Izanami, Ninigi, and Wakumusubi, in addition to the food deities previously mentioned. The five kami today identified with Inari at Fushimi Inari are Ukanomitama, Sarutahiko, Omiyanome, Tanaka, and Shi. However, at Takekoma Inari, the second-oldest Inari shrine in Japan, the three enshrined deities are Ukanomitama, Ukemochi, and Wakumusubi. According to the Nij?ni shaki, the three kami are ?miyame no mikoto (water,) Ukanomitama no mikoto (grain,) and Sarutahiko no mikami (land.)"
For a more official source, Karen Ann Smyers mentions the many different gods that have been associated with Inari in her research book The Fox and the Jewel. Dunno if you want to buy it or not, but it might not be too hard to find online:
It seems that depending on who you ask, Inari is a god, is a goddess, is multiple gods/goddesses, is a Buddha, is a Bodhisattva, is a fox, is an ancient mountain kami, is a rice and grain kami, is a many different things to many different people
I don't think most people in Japan really care much about the specifics behind Inari. Shinto is kinda just a side thing that you do (or maybe just your parents did) as you live your life and doesn't get much concern or consideration beyond that
I thought we might get a kiss at the end on the manga, this has exceeded all my expectations.
Pretty much. For a lot of people, Shinto doesn't have much personal meaning. It's like when people in the west say "Bless you" when someone sneezes, or say "Grace" at the dinner table. It's there and it's a thing you do, but it doesn't have much weight or bearing on your personal life. So praying at Shinto Shrines for good fortune, blessings, or protection is just something you do. Whether you're praying to Uka-no-mitami, or Izanagi, or Benzaiten as Inari, or the general "Inari Okami", or any other Shinto Kami, it doesn't much matter to you; it's just a practice you follow.
>HER HAIR CHANGED COLOR
FUCKING WHY? SHE WAS PERFECT. GODDAMN CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT.
>not following this series because for the titular character
What is wrong with you people
Because she is shit, her relationship with something-kun was full of dorama and misunderstandings when she had his dick since day two.
Uka-sama and Touka relationship is something bigger as we could see their feelings growing inside of us.
Speaking of Goddeses, Miya-kami is a best as well
I am too, and she makes the best faces.
I hope they get a good end. I can imagine it going sideways in a million ways, one of my main suspicion is
if Uka becomes human, she suddenly experience age acceleration until she dies, giving a bittersweet ending bullshit.
Why can't I have an idealized, happy ending nowadays? Why is everyone so bitter?
I think that something like that happening to Uka would be highly unlikely. There is still potential for several other bittersweet endings, of course. I agree that an idealized, happy ending would be nice for this story, and I feel that there is at least some hope of that happening.
She's the goddess who brought nyaa back, after I showed her how to use a computer.
She's /a/'s goddess.
I think it has been at least implied, if not outright stated, that Uka wanted to become a human even before falling for Touka. I don't think her giving up her godhood would be particularly sad or bitterwseet.
That is not how pedophilia works, anon. And anyways, it is not like Uka is that much more mature than him - not in all ways, at least - and she certainly isn't any more experienced in these matters.
Literally the best goddess in all of anime and manga, anon. Didn't you read the thread?
