Read the guide before asking anything buyfag related, contains all the basic info and much more
If I didn't care about the feed why would I bother to open it? I know they were showcasing the exhibit of Bunny Chris and it also mentioned something about figFIX so I just scrolled through the images and that specific one caught my attention because it had both of them in it.
Reminder that Alter is working on this under their new brand.
>not using this as the OP
Fag what are you doing?
I guess it's finally time for me to get an Elin.
I want some more TTGL stuff. It pisses me off that the only Team Gurren flag I can find is over $900. Seriously, what the fuck?
Max Factory is doing another 1/7 Miku after that one by the way.
So what does this mean? Is it showing what parts come painted, or is it saying they're interchangeable? Is it painted at all?
Worse than idol space Hitler though?
It has recently been brought to my attention that such a thing exists. I am speechless
except they had "Sharing the World" at the beginning.
Not him, but they told me the line took 4 hours and sold out before 4pm
I want Kiseki scale figs. Why aren't there any?
The New York expo has a gallery display on the first floor and the GSC shop in the second floor.
The second floor opens next friday at noon, concert is at 8pm.
Get there early and wait for the figures.
GSC cancelled so many online pre-orders to fill up the expos of California and New York. Even savvy buyf/a/gs got theirs cancelled.
The Cali expo sold out and so will the New York one. I'm pretty sure GSC will let the japs have theirs first before they ship out to the rest of the world.
But with the halloween hype coming up expect to see that little $45 nendo to skyrocket to $100. It's already selling out for $85 on MFC.
I figure I'm in the minority in that I tend to prefer the vocaloid versions of most songs. Shinkai Shoujo and Jishou Mushoku are the only two I can think of off the top of my head where I actually like the human singer more
Yeah, look up threads on foolz. /a/nons got their orders cancelled. Pretty butthurt stuff.
I'm going to the New York expo on friday all the way from Virginia, so I have to drive 6 hours. I gotta wake my ass up at 5am to get in line.
if you're near it and like vocaloid I'd say drop by. If you're, say, two hours out and/or don't really like vocaloid, I'd say skip it.
someone on /cgl/ and tumblr was giving extra tickets away to the concert for Saturday's concert. Don't think they have any for Sunday though.
To the anons that went to the California expo: Did you see any cosplay?
I am thinking of cosplaying for the New York Expo.
damn, I'd be total butthurt. I ordered mine ASAP right after the site crashed on the 28th so mine shipped but what the fuck GSC. I mean, I know oversells happen but you had orders OPEN FOR DAYS before it sold out
Sweet! Was it only Vocaloid cosplay or were there other anime cosplays?
There were a handful of cosplayers at the concert(vocaloid, mekakushit and a jap guy dress as shimakaze...), you are free to cosplay, but you better be a trap and
cute; surprisingly I didn't see any landwhales.
mainly vocaloid but there's always a couple of people who just have to cosplay something else
you have a ton of other events in socal. why not just go plainclothes for once if you aren't going to go as the subject matter of the event?
It's okay anon, I am SakuyaBro. You should know what I am.
>didn't order halloween miku online because I planned on picking one up at the expo
>all stock sold out on first day, none left for second
Probably. Selling a huge chunk of tickets for the concerts and the number of people at the expo should equal success for any businessman. I don't know if they'd do it every year but every two or three I can envision. Who knows, maybe they would do it every year.
I have this one.
I don't wear it outside.
Cosplay is fun as fuck. You can do any character from any show and gender. It's really awesome to see manly men cosplay as cute little girls.
>all stock sold out on first day, none left for second
If true GSC dropped the ball hard, I was expecting it to sell out on day one, but will more stock for the next.
whoever was running the booth that day fucked up and didn't make a snap judgement. long fucking line, limit two, didn't reserve stock for the next day, didn't decide to cut off supplies mid-day for the next day.
They have to, they know there are people outside of japan who are willing to pay to see Miku and buy merchandise.
They will probably do tours in europe first, and maybe in latin america, but they are bound to be back in the states at some point; LA and NYC are the top cities, but maybe they will do some other major cities later.
Maybe they'll do other states since they can't play the same songs over and over again.
Maybe every 2 years sort of thing.
>GSC dropped the ball hard
No. The concert in Anime Expo years ago was a test run to see if they could sell concert tickets. This CA and NY expos are to see if they can sell figures. They clearly underestimated the demand for anime figures in the States.
Expect to see an American GSC branch opening soon, or an even friendlier GSC online store.
Also, don't forget that Japan just invested 4billion yen into their "Cool Japan" initiative to expand Anime into the entire world.
also this is what they have left
they might as well give the booth staff the day off because that isn't going to last very long on Sunday
They announced it on the English Facebook.
>Sorry Los Angeles. All stock is gone for the entire event.
Like another anon said they're already selling for $100 secondhand. I expect it to go up even more.
>not getting Riobot GL
>not getting a custom printed flag for $50 instead
>not getting the ichiban kuji minifigures
And you call yourself a buyfag?
"okay, we sell stuff online that we make to order. lots of people buy it. we even have metrics as to how many are buying it in each country"
"let's completely ignore those metrics for miku expo"
even if they got overwhelmed there is no excuse for not reserving stock for both days or limiting one and then maybe unlimiting it the next day. I've seen other companies loosen their limits on successive days
GSC != Crypton btw
I'm fairly sure gsc already has a brand, I can't recall the name, but they announced it late last year, but the prices were crap.
>don't forget that Japan just invested 4billion yen into their "Cool Japan" initiative to expand Anime into the entire world.
Oh yeah, I saw an ad about it before the concert, fucking jews.
Wait a second, this sounds like Outbreak Company.
Even a big company like GSC would run into shortage if they are asked to produce 10,000 Halloween Miku nendos.
Have you seen their GSC tour videos? There are only 20ish employees painting and detailing.
Also, like the other anon said: Maybe they are learning from Toei. Create something very popular and sell in small quantities. Toei has managed to stay in business for almost 40 years with that marketing scheme.
>Like another anon said they're already selling for $100 secondhand. I expect it to go up even more.
Wish I could've ordered more. I put in the order of three. One for me, one for secret s/a/nta and one for an anon who wanted it.
You're too nice, Internet.
You sell that green haired bitch and you sell her so hard that your wallet will be like "DAMN NIIGGA, that's a lot of cash you're stuffing in me at once!"
my point is not that they should have had enough stock on hand because that takes time and they didn't have the luxury to build to order like they do with their WF orders but that they should have known better to reserve stock. Even if they only had 500 total and that means 250 for each day that's better than selling all 500 in one day. I go to SDCC and companies there are smart enough to not sell their entire allotment on day 1.
you could have made two separate orders. Maybe one order goes to your neighbor's house in exchange for a favor or your workplace or your parents' house
I think I'll pull it off. Thing is I'm going by train to NY so no hotel or car for me to put my goods in. My bag probably can fit two nendo boxes at best and I might go nuts with more figs. Does NY have lockers? Similar if you go to like an amusement park.
