Why the fuck haven't you watched all of these yet?
Last one I saw was Origin: Spirits of the Past. It sucked. Trying to figure out what to watch next.
>No Knockin' on Heaven's Door
To the trash it goes
Spirited Away by far.
I don't get all the hype over Akira, it's a good movie, but not as good as people make it out to be. It would have been better if it didn't skip over the manga so much.
Only You, Whisper of the Heart and Ocean Waves
i really liked the aesthetics but it felt really bland story wise. too "children's tale"-ish for me, especially in the later half.
maybe its because i've seen better japanese war films, but the drama felt really forced. i dont think its bad though i can definitely see why people would like it i just really disliked it.
Sky crawlers is literally the worst thing I have ever seen, the story is fucking insanely weak.
Added to my backlog.
>Sky crawlers is literally the worst thing I have ever seen, the story is fucking insanely weak.
I envy you because you've obviously never seen actual terrible shit.
I've seen ~80% of that list and am not particularly interested in most of the ones I haven't seen. I know my taste by now and don't feel like wasting time watching everything that appears on any random rec list.
That said, I have had Jin-roh downloaded sitting in my backlog for a while. I guess I'll watch it tonight now that it's been brought up.
I saw a movie like 6 years ago and I liked it so much that I rewatched it about 3 times in 2 days.
It was a girl and it featured a deer as somekind of holy spirit of the forest or something and I believe the deer was killed near the end and some black matter started coming out of it destroying everything in its path.
I believe this featured monsters in the forests too, anyone knows which movie I'm talking about?
Anyone looking for a fun movie that is not on the list, watch Animal Treasure Island. It's one of Miyazaki's best movie pre-Ghibli and is about as much fun as porco rosso and castle of cagliostro.
I never heard about that Nitaboh, probably gonna go for it next.
Thes crossed ones are the ones i sometime came accross in my life. From what i have seen by looking into some names of the list, some of them seem rather boring, or look like shit. Which movies are a must see?
Watching anime movies is always a spur of the moment thing for me but I think I've done well despite that.
Someone, please call me a faggot for not watching enough anime movies.
Because half of these are terribly overrated
Kon really was a one trick pony, in all his later movies he always just repeated the same concept of skipping between reallity and fiction and never reached the appeal of Perfect Blue in any of those. Simply showing some scenes from an actress life does not make a good movie and neither does that bland frame story about her searching for a guy she met once.
>The girl who leapt through time
Uninspired and boring adaption. I really don't get what people see in this movie? The story? The characters? The animation? Nothing was especially outstanding to me.
>5cm per second
nothing but kitsch.
same as for Millemium actress
is ok, but the "humor" is far too cringeworthy for me, on the other hand it's a movie for children so maybe that's ok.
Some of those movies are good, but there's none I would really great.
>We'll never have a Sami in our lifetime
I seriously don't understand why people still recommend Grave Of The Fireflies. It's just "feel bad : the movie" . Aside from making you want to kill yourself , the movie has nothing else to offer to the audience
Fucking faggot's watch a GOOD movie for fucks sake
Might as well. Better visual quality, a few extra minutes of scenes thrown in between, and a very short epilogue that wasn't included with the OVAs. I backed the kickstarted to get it dubbed and have it sitting here on my desk. It arrived a few weeks ago.
I haven't watched it yet because my laptop doesn't have a CD drive and I have no DVD/BD player. Such is life.
You faggots left out Gundam Unicorn
I know this is out of context but does anyone have any imgs with series titles to watch?
