What the fuck is this thing?
What is it even called?
What is it even for?
and from all the greasy "English" food
I've always wondered about this page. Did Darjeeling not finish cooking the fish and chips? If so, do Britbongs bread their fries? Because I see some sort of liquid emanating from them.
Or is that liquid just excessive grease pooling off the food rather than uncooked batter?
/ak/ threads on /a/ are always shit. They're always full of nofunz faggots who think they're oper8r just cause their little loli sluts are in a tank. Not that the ones on /k/ are any better, either. There's always faggots shitting it up until it because imagedumps. There's nothing /k/ about it by the end
Your butthurt is music to my ears, I warn you. Please continue.

How many chapters 'till we actually got to see Volume 1 cover?
This means that even "lying covers" (Yukari outright states the cover is lying) do eventually happen...
...how long until they REALLY a) show Maho and Anchovy wedding b) show them as boys, and c) turn them into cats?
They're Panoramic Night Vision Goggles that have a 96 degree FOV as opposed to a 45 degree FOV that regular NVGs have. Originally they were developed for pilots but Delta Force started testing it on the ground so they made a more rugged Ground version. Recently brought to attention because the SEALs used them on the Bin Laden raid.
What did you guys think of Fury?
All that tank porn was great.
Enjoyed it. People are going to complain about hollywood fantasy when lots of what happened in the movie is pretty accurate to real life events. Especially naziboos who are mad about fanatic SS getting mowed down and a Sherman taking out a Tiger.
It's been a while since a movie I watched in theaters actually had me on the edge of my seat.
Also, not many people caught it but,
>that hellcat in the American camp at the start of the movie
You should go to the cinema more often
>Sherman taking out a Tiger.
That doesn't bother me at all.
What DOES bother me is that, instead of doing it through superior tactics or skills of the heroes (something that was well within the prospect of reality), or even by sheer chance (more dissapointing but not impossible), they do it by magically making the Sherman endure a SIDE HIT from close range by a fucking .88
From that point on, they could have made the fight with crudely drawn cartoons for all it would matter.
The Cinema is over-priced and trying to organise people to go with is a hassle.
Even then it has to be a movie everyone wants to see so your friends might not want to watch what you want to watch.
If you're going to watch a movie alone it makes more sense to watch it at home. Less hassle, cheaper and more comfortable.
The Sherman was hit at an extreme angle, any gun can ricochet at such an angle. Even then, they weren't unscathed from the hit, their turret's turning had to be set to manual and.
That comes later. Early at only 7 fucking seconds in the battle there's a direct side hit. And no, some logs and sand bags wouldn't have helped. Yes, tankers loved to add them to try and see if they worked. No, they usually didn't.
>Yes, tankers loved to add them to try and see if they worked. No, they usually didn't.
I thought the main purpose of that was to prevent MG fire from ricocheting and giving away their position.
And pissing off Patton.
This one took forever because the text IS suppossed to be obscured by Oreo's head and the panel's sides.
>mad about fanatic SS getting mowed down
But why did they keep charging the front when it has a second machine gun there?
And why did they pack up the panzerfausts so many of them had been carrying while marching?
A non-penetrating hit is still a hit, this isn't World of Tonks. An 88 bouncing is still a lot for a tank to endure, somthing probably got thrown off.
Not much I can say about fanatics charging the front of a tank, but I doubt they would use ALL the panzerfausts they had left on a single, disabled tank. Most of the guys carrying them were probably shot up when Fury ambushed them. Why nobody else picked them is beyond me, maybe those guys were major germaphobes?
If you weren't expecting meaty tank combat and shitty writing, I don't know what to tell you.
I was seeing these predictions on /tv/ when the movie was announced.
If they didn't have real tanks, no one would have cared.
>Speaking of the Tiger fight, why didn't the tank commanders close their hatches?
>Most tank commanders felt the increased visibility and situational awareness was worth the risk.
This. WW2 tanks have horrible visibility, and it is generally considered safer to see what can kill you before you get shot. The risk of getting sniped is worth the danger because you would die either way.
>If they didn't have real tanks, no one would have cared.
If they boast about caring for realism enough to use real tanks, they better care enough to use real tank performance. Otherwise it's wasted.
And no, "it's only a movie" doesn't work here because of >>116280717. They BOASTED of being better than other movies. They've failed at their own game.
I think I'll go rewatch Kelly's Heroes
not reposting the first 3 pages because they don't even need cleaning (but WILL post the typesed back cover as soon as Momo TLs it)
Consider what they're competing with:
All those other movies that focus on tanks.
You're the only moron here.
According to most people, Fury lived up to the hype. A few butthurt autists being mad about parts of the movie that have explanations doesn't count as losing their own game.
>If they boast about caring for realism enough to use real tanks, they better care enough to use real tank performance. Otherwise it's wasted.
>I never said I was expecting realism
>real tank performance
Did the Tiger not ambush those Shermans in a manner you found pleasing? That's how Tigers operated in the last month of WWII, they are not the wargods they were in 1942. Lone tigers, despite their reputation, were nowhere near as good as people thought they were.
Man I love those documentaries, sad not all of them are translated.
You never had a point
>Lots of people like it! It must mean it IS realist!
>Pleopel that knows about tech stuff are autists! I don't need to pay atention to what they say!
Feel free to write an angry, "wity", answer to this to make you feel better by believing you have said the last word. Or, be a man and don't. Your choice.
But people who know about the tech of the tanks do have explanations on how the Sherman bounced the Tiger. It's even been said multiple times in this thread.
If anything, Fury is the most realistic depiction of tank combat.
>Pleopel that knows about tech stuff are autists! I don't need to pay atention to what they say!
Except those people who claim they know about the tech stuff are just parroting History Channel documentaries on how much a beast the Tiger was, and how the Shermans could do nothing against it. The Tiger was a scary tank, but it was by no means impenetrable, especially by the end of the war with 76mm Shermans running around.
They said multiple times in the thread how a round bounced in a high-angle frontal shot. But first thing I said was how I was not talking about that bounce, but about a direct side hit that happens before, without effect. And no, "they had shit strapped to the tank" is not an explanation. A few logs or a bag of sand were not enough protection to make a difference against the kind of regular AP rounds an 88 fired. They COULD have worked against a HEAT round, IF they were spaced (it's sad how many tanks were lost because crews stacked stuff to protect against HEAT... directly against the armor).
They played with the order again, in case someone is puzzled by the 40.
Are you talking about the tank in the rear of the column? That was the only one to take a direct 90 degree hit. After that the Shermans backed off on the other side of the road and engaged the Tiger head on. Fury never took a direct side hit.
>people who claim they know about the tech stuff are just parroting History Channel
Are you real?
Yes. History Channel's documentaries on WWII tanks are woefully bias. If you'd do anymore research on the Tiger tank you'd know just how much hype they gave the tank compared to Shermans.
Also, the later sheman models' guns could have easily penetrated that Tiger's frontal armor.
You know, the armor everything kept bouncing off of. And why aim for the rear of the Tiger when the sides ae equipped with thinner armor than the rear?
But what can I say, the only tank I ever drove was in a videogame
My guess would be that Sherman crews don't have the knowledge on Tigers that we enjoy today? The first shot in the Youtube clip in >>116283330 seemed to hit the Tiger's gun mantlet.
Is it weird that Curtis LeMay was George Wallace's VP in the 1968 election?
>The Wallace-LeMay AIP ticket received 13.5 percent of the popular vote, higher than most third-party candidacies in the US, and carried five states for a total of 46 electoral votes.
Yet the Murkens decided to stick those asinine tumors on their Patton-series mediums and MBTs anyway because the opinions of those who actually have to take them into harm's way mean nothing.
I love you you glorious bastard
You guys arguing about Brad Pitt excuse me if I'd rather work on some manga featuring girls instead.
They did at first, but then the tiger started advancing forward through the smoke. Think they switched to AP after that. And yeah, I think Fury was the only tank left fitted with the 76.2mm after the tiger took out the rear sherman
Nothing. Her glasses are a milacre of teh universe.
...that's what you expected me to say, right?
Now serious, Saori wears glasses whose frame is meant to atract atention, while Nekota wears glasses whose frame seems to be meant to DEFLECT atention. Prescription differences asides.
Anyway. Have more oil-losing Darjeeling.
He took the deep south completely, while pulling enough support from Humphrey to achieve a win for Nixon.
He also may have had an impact in the north, but I need more evidence than Wiki to prove this link.
>Wallace was the most popular 1968 presidential candidate among young men. Wallace also proved to be popular among blue-collar workers in the North and Midwest, and he took many votes which might have gone to Humphrey
Sure, she's handsome and makes cute girls swoon.
She also loses more oil than a faulty
Sherman's transmission after some Hollywood guys have made a movie with it then taken it to several promotionals without adequate manteinance
She just realized Darjeeling most likely put English-style black tea instead of Japanese-style green tea she seemed to be making (look at the thing in her hand - that's not a barber's brush, that's a Japanese tea-making whisk)
"LORD HAVE MERCY ON MY ENEMIES BUT I SURE AS HELL WON'T"
Tankers who served under Patton were often "asked" to have sandbags/logs/etc removed for a variety of reasons, ranging from adding weight, serving no purpose, or looking unprofessional
Since I can't give you quotes directly, here's some people talking about it.
I'll see your four star general and raise by one slightly embarrassed vice admiral.
It's basically powdered tea they whisk into the water. Almost like instant coffee. Not my cup of tea (propiety of the line unintended but welcome). I'm more of either Chinese or Moorish tea...
Will have to try that some day
If you want to try different kinds of teas, maybe Japanese tea isn't the best to start - unless you want to try for weaboo reasons. Best teas ever are Russian Karawanen (strong and with leather taste as it used to be packed in leather sacks on camelback crossing the Gobi in its way to Russia - nowadays they just keep it in leather bags for a long time while drying), plain Chinese light tea without sugar (for drinking while eating), and Moorish mint tea (of course, drinking three servings from the same teapot with a block of sugar inside without stirring; first cup is bitter, second is normal, last one is sweet). Particularly the last one. You can not say you're alive unless you've taken refuge from below zero in the middle of the night by entering a well-carpetted tent where a foamy, hot, sweet tea brings you back to life. But that's another tale...
>dising Yukari for wanting to try out Darjeling's tea
no, you fuck off
>You can not say you're alive unless you've taken refuge from below zero in the middle of the night by entering a well-carpetted tent where a foamy, hot, sweet tea brings you back to life. But that's another tale...
Countdown, three-two-one-zero-okay! Girls und Panzer Motto RabuRabu Sakusen Volume 2, thoroughly compiling the Noble Sisters' exciting adventures goes on sale today! To the stores, panzer vor! Oy vey!
Gloriana "tea in the desert" OVA when?
It's sad when you can't have a normal discussion without anons feeling attacked an feeling like they have to throw around shit to defend themselves.
Yes, I have cooked before, your point?
That it's antistick rather than something that helps warm the tank surface?
I'm asked because I knew this south african guy who hated making eggs because he didn't know to use the non-stick spray before hand and he'd always have to scrap the thing out.
I explain to him once and he didn't understand until I drove out, bought a can and showed him.
actually, in the "been there, done that" department, not ALL parts are THAT hot - yes, that's what the black (heat absorbing) plate is for. Touching a piece of metal that's been painted a light colour (like, sand) is not gonna contacct burn you. It ISN'T ice, though, but you can get used to it.
I have like over 500 of these images.
I lied, it's actually more like 300-something.
There's a blog or two I still need to go through to find more.
Awhile back in another /ak/ thread some guy dumped a bunch of links to pixiv artists who do this kinda art. I went through them all and saved anything worth saving. I did trim the fat from the links he provided though, some just didn't provide enough /ak/ related art to bother with, and then I cut out ones that did the anthromorphic planes and ships and such (I just think they look silly).
>anthromorphic planes and ships and such (I just think they look silly).
Aw, c'mon, that 'anthromorph' airplanes manga where the girls have the model of the plane they're representing on their back is cute as hell. So is the one with the girls that represent tanks.
Huh. Odd. That sucks.
Not sure I've seen those.
>Not sure I've seen those.
Armored Highschool, and Flight Hichschool. Both on the wiki.
Read left to right, since they're Korean.
Okay that's kinda cute. Will have to look those up.
The ones I'm talking about were like girls with cannons on their backs and tank treads on their legs, or like conning towers on their heads if they're ships. These are more like Upotte.
Welp, as much as I'd love to, I can't post all night. Maybe I'll continue tomorrow (or today now, I guess) if the thread is still kicking.
>You should go to the cinema more often
the last time i went to one, it was to see "The Wind rise" with my brother.
10 minutes in:
>some kids complains and get really noisy : it's lame, boring and so on.
I know they're kids, but still.
I expect the same thing to happen when i'll go see Princess Kaguya.
>the first chapter of a volume is always the one with colour pages
>vol 1 ends with chapter 5
>next color chapter is chapter 7
>NEXT color chapter is chapter 14
Does that mean there are chapters, like chapter 6, that aren't in any tankoubon? If so, is chapter 13 in volume 2?
