When this shit ends, are people suddenly gonna act like it was a good anime? It's like robin Williams, everyone hated him until he died.
Naw fuck you, I always liked Robin Williams because I saw him in a bunch of kiddy shit and just thought he was good. Then I saw him as a bad guy in a random episode of Law & Order and found out his serious roles were great.
The Cut, Bicentennial Man, 24 Hour Photo, World's Greatest Dad. A lot of them were bad but damn I loved them
Yes. Deep down /a/ is tsundere for Naruto. And this is a very painful thing for these people to admit. But when it all comes down the way I just told you, you come back to me and say "Goddamnit. You were right. Again."
No one is going to pretend that Naruto was good. In fact, in all the threads I've been in, I don't remember a single person saying that Naruto was good. There are cretin characters that are good and cretin arcs that are good but Naruto as a whole is pretty shitty and everyone knows it.
We're all just happy that Naruto and Sasuke actually had a decent fist fight before they became bros and that the best girl in an anime actually has the best change of wining.
So everytime I see a Naruto thread someone ends up mentioning Hiashi and his personal eugenics program.
But wouldn't it be more of a eugenics program to have Sasuke x Hinata and Naruto x Kari have children to preserve their bloodlines?
>Add in any other girl from the series
-Ino who is just as bad as Sakura
-Tenten who barely exists or has any diolog
-Temair who also barely exists and has not changed since we met her in the first half of the manga
-Anko who everyone seems to think is hot but has completely disappeared forever
The only girl who might be better then her is Tsunade and she's a fucking senin
Hinata is the only girl who's changed and gotten character development besides Sakura (and look how much she's changed)
How can you even compare the other girls to either of them when they're almost never relevant and never change.
Naruto is a C+ manga. It does things that prevent it from being great, so it passes as decent. The series reached its peak at the Pain Arc, then started to really drop in quality with the exception of some good chapters here and there.
Naruto has always been the same. It began with butthurt, it will end with butthurt.
>/a/ defending Robin Williams
you guys aren't so bad
Also, I still feel like the beginning or so of Naruto was actually really enjoyable and pretty good. I'm sure most will agree with that, people just disagree as to deciding when it just went to full shit. Most of the time people say timeskip was when it hopped off that train
No, I don't believe many people will. Even those who read or watched it from the beginning and stuck with it for the entirety of it would likely agree.
I mean, I watched it everyday when I was 11-12 years old and it first aired on Toonami. Did I enjoy it when I was younger? Sure. Would I say that it's a good story? No, I'd have to say that it wasn't. It started out with potential and had great world building, but started to fall to the wayside as the story went on.
I think the real problem is that people honestly liked Naruto but after some point everything just went retarded (when Sasuke came back, if you ask me). So really, /a/ wants to like Naruto, but they just won't let themselves because they have standards.
Looking back I guess I really meant it was good up until the Sound Four fights.
Page 6 through 9 basically tell you Choji is dead but then you find out hes actually okay. I'm pretty sure the same thing happens to Neji too. They should have both died at the end of their fights but they were both fine in the end which kind of trivializes the whole thing. If Kishimoto wasn't so afraid of killing off characters I think Naruto as a series could have been saved.
It'll be acknowledged as a pretty influential shounen manga considering it was probably one of the biggest entry level anime/manga since dragonball z/pokemon
Looking back, decided to go through some of their old op/ed's and shit i forgot how enjoyable some of them were, or maybe it's just the nostalgia kicking in.
I have to wonder if it was some combination of editors interfering as well as his apprehension to kill off a character that he felt may have had potential for development.
The best example I can come up with is Konoha at the end of the Pain Arc.
If all of those people had been left dead, it would have added more weight to Naruto's personal story; that you can't simply talk to people and beg them to listen to reason, and that sometimes the path to greatness (his dream of becoming Hokage) requires one to walk the path of sadness, grief, and loss.
Sturgeon's law applies double to anime. So about 180% of it will be crap, but the remaining 20% should be alright
Yeah. Kishimoto could have easily have killed off Chouji, Neji and Kiba back then since they aren't every relevant at all afterwards.
>B-b-but Neji's sacrifice
Naruto went to shit way before that happened so it's basically irrelevant.
IIRC, in terms of Jump/editors forcing Kishi to change his story up a bit, he had to incorporate Sasuke a lot more because of how popular the character had become, especially among the female demographic. I seem to recall Kishi didn't intend to have him be a huge focal point in the entire story like he is now
>It's like robin Williams, everyone hated him until he died.
Kinda opposite for me.
I was fine with the guy until he is spammed all over the board just like how I was fine with the Naruto threads until the narutards start spamming that shit everywhere
He wasnt even going to be a character, his editors said "hey rival characters are cool" and so he put sasuke. The same thing happened with sakura. My favorite original concept idea was the third being a dog. Also liked that it seemed that Hinata was originally a civilian.
I remember reading about that as well.
It's just disappointing, since there's a few instances I can think of where a major death could have helped provide some impact to the story and towards the development of some characters. I know everyone would love this, but imagine if Sakura were killed off early in part 2 during their fight with Orochimaru. Instead of her simply taking some deep claw wounds to her arm, maybe Naruto kills her unknowingly while he's overwhelmed by Kurama. It would then rapidly change from Sakura feeling grief and regret over pushing Naruto to this point over a promise, and instead it would be Naruto having to deal with the grim consequences failing to suppress the nine-tailed fox within him.
>Naruto having to deal with the grim consequences failing to suppress the nine-tailed fox within him.
That would be too grimdark for even Naruto. I mean, Naruto has always been pretty grimdark what with Sasuke and all, but it's always been more the superficial "edgy" grimdark rather than actual grimdark.
Naruto inspired a whole generation of kids with false hopes of becoming ninjas with ninjutsus. Only the first few arcs of the original Naruto where good. The last few and from Shippuden onwards were complete dissapointments.
I felt nothing when Neji died. It was too generic. That's how shit Naruto became as a show.
If Kishi had killed off Neji, Chouji and Kiba during the Sound Four fights I could see him having Naruto kill Sakura since the former would have set precedent for it. To think the series could have been so much better if Kishi wasn't such a bitch about killing off characters.
I think people will begin to remember what they liked about it, yeah. Naruto isn't even horrendous, it's just stupid and overlong. I genuinely believe that when all is said and done, more people will remember what's good than what's bad.
So in honor a lot of the bad being forgotten, let's talk about the absolute worst parts of Nayrudo.
>Sasuke jobs Orochimaru, Deidara, and Itachi in a single arc
I stand by the opening arc with Zabuza being a great hook to the series.
The best part about it is, in their first encounter with Zabuza, the main characters are nearly useless. Even the cool rival is way out of his depth. The mentor character isn't there to just spout rhetoric, the mother fucker means business. Not only that, but in that fight, the genin can't just brute force their way through, they really show their worth when they free Kakashi from the water prison.
If Kishi bothered to remember the supporting cast, especially the guys involved in Sasuke Retrieval, maybe you would have cared. Instead you get even more characters thrown at you. Yamato, Sai, Suigetsu, Karin, Juugo, all characters introduced and ended up underdeveloped. Hinata and Shikamaru were the only ones to show more growth as characters since part 1.
No when it ends SnK will be the next big thing, people are already wearing this everywhere in my campus
It won't. The manga will remain popular but they jumped the gun with the anime. They should have waited longer to produce it. It will eventually bounce back, but you're going to see a major lull.
Jackson 5 era Michael Jackson was him at his best. As far as his solo career, he peaked at the Thriller album.
As for Naruto. I wouldn't say it's well written by any means, but I've been following it for years and I'm excited to see how it ends since it was a part of my childhood.
Just a Hair Away
Possibility is There
Could be shown with a character we don't know, not everyone in your graduating class gets married to each other you shipping faggot
This right here >>116305495
I mean it kind of worked when we thought 8-Tails was the only one like that. Then they're all just misunderstood. Even the One-Tail which was introduced as nothing more than a crazed lunatic drunk. I also don't know why they bothered to introduce the split Kyubi plotline, kind of took away from Naruto swaying it to his side.
idk about you guys, but i'm fucking psyched to taste the tears of naruto/sakura fans
Almost everyone here are hyped for this too.
It's incredible though. They're still in denial.
>I-I's SP's fault! They're all stupid hinatafags
>She'll be rejected in the end
>It's the wrong tree!
I can't wait.
She loves him and he's the only girl he gives a fuck about.
>forgetting Sasuke was jealous of Sakura looking at Naruto in Part One
>forgetting he confirmed he was jealous of Naruto last chapter
Wait so, Hamura fucked off to the moon, right? Then where the fuck do the Hyuuga come from?
Naruto can bring some good emotional moments. You sometimes forget all the retarded shit.
Christ this is going to be the biggest asspull off all time
"I always loved you you annoying bitch"
"oh sasuke-kun <3"
No, he didn't. He never flashed to his family when thinking about Karin. He never saw her as important to think she'll interfere.
Karin was nothing but a replacement. Taka team isn't even in the last movie because he doesn't give a fuck about it, he admitted finally he only gave a fuck about Team 7 after his family.
He is a tsundere with mental issues. Wasn't obvious in last chapter?
>Taka team isn't even in the last movie because he doesn't give a fuck about it
I think it goes a bit beyond tsundere when he tries to kill you. ..
Hopefully sasuke will end up alone and travelling around repenting. Romance really doesn't suit his character
Why would I pretend I like it? It was a complete fucking mess since part two, quit following it years ago and I'm glad as fuck it's finally ending, at least the poor souls who are still reading it can finally have their rest.
>It's like robin Williams, everyone hated him until he died.
What the fuck?
On the contrary, he needs love because he keeps rejecting him like an edgyfag. He needs to get his bearing and then settle down when he's finally ok. Isolating himself and leaving Sakura was what started this shit in the first place, anon. If you paid attention to this, when he was around Sakura and opened his heart, he kept the darkness away. >>116306171
Karin did nothing but go with his childish edgy shit for a while. That's pretty bad if she wanted to win him. Sakura wanted to bring him back where he belonged. NARUTO did all this because he made a promise to Sakura.
>NARUTO did all this because he made a promise to Sakura.
You don't seriously believe that do you? You think he had no other interest in tracking Sasuke down other than keeping his promis to sakura?
danzo put the kill order out when he was 'acting' hokage. The only people who had an issue with this were sakura and naruto
technically the kill order never went away Neither did him being an international criminal for joining akatsuki
I'm pretty sure Tsunade gave the kill order at some point because it wasn't worth bringing him back. Something tells me Sasuke decides to remain a wanderer and do his own thing around the world rather than come back to Konoha - that or his crimes lead to him being exiled, but he probably just rolls with it and at least isn't as much of a dick anymore. If it wasn't snake motifs, he had eagle motifs, and being free from Konoha overall fits his Last design and the eagle motifs.
everyone on that team was fucking horrible and the only reason they existed is because the editor forced it on kishi. fuck them, fuck darkness, fuck annoying red hair cunt, fuck liquid fag, fuck boring mctall homo, fuck you.
I get it mods, you fucked up with being power hungry and now you want to show everyone you're fair and level. But this thread is obvious shitposting. Just delete it, you don't have to suddenly defend every thread about Naruto because you want to turn your image around about being total nazis.
THIS thread is obvious shitposting? Not the other thread with NaruSaku? There's not even a single instance of repeated digits being mentioned in this thread. Clearly you are just biased.
Just admit you hate Naruto and can't stand people discussing things you don't like, child.
That Jiraiya-centric arc of him infiltrating the Rain was good, also weirdly felt like something that could've happened back in Part 1 if that makes sense.
I liked the Sasuke/Itachi fight too though Susanoo being a giant stand mecha thing was dumb.
>It isn't shitposting unless it's dubs
>Pointing out this thread is shitposting instantly means you support the other shitposting thread
Just use your brain a little, it might hurt but you'll learn things.
It's because people are hypocrites. But perhaps Michael Jackson would be a better comparison than Robin Williams. People fucking HATED him until he died, then he suddenly became the voice of a generation.
Whenever someone dies or something ends, all people want to jump onto the "so sad ;__;" bandwagon.
Only about 2 days to go, and shit will hit the fan on /a/. I'm looking forward to this so hard. The tears of shippingfags will be delicious.
I don't get this. I mean I'm an autistic faggot but never in a million years would wear any apparel from an anime/manga, vidya game, or comic
It's the epitome of shit taste. Why can't people wear normal clothes for fucks sake
I'd never wear anything from a manga/anime, but I'd wear a piece of clothing with, say, a vaguely recognizable emblem from said show. But if only said emblem looked good to begin with and wasn't easily noticed except by other fans of said show.
