Whatever happened to color wars, /a/?
Watched this roughly 10 years ago, I've completely forgotten what it was about. The last time I saw a thread about it must've been back in 2006 or so.
so sad that new generations piss on dated animation.
kappei fueled by pantsu power 10/10
No one really mention penguin anymore despite people hyping it up during when it aired.
As if I could forget delicious tacos.
>Maybe because it is overshadowed by the other two.
How so? Of the three, Madlax is really the only one that had any lasting impression for me. I still have no idea what Noir intended to impart onto its viewers. It's been so many years though, so I wouldn't be surprised if it all went straight over my head back then.
The only reason people remember him is because of the somewhat recent game.
>Souten no Ken
>The Tatami Galaxy
Don't see people really talk about Welcome to the NHK or Eden of the East anymore either....
Haven't seen any mention of this in a very long time.
Oddly enough, since it seems like the sort of thing /a/ would never grab and never let go of.
I vaguely remember watching this while lying in my dead grandmother's bed.
As far as stuff from recent years go, I wouldn't say it has really been forgotten.
Not discussed, maybe. But Mononoke was widely regarded as a strong conteder for, if not the AOTY of 2007 by many.
Some anons still remember Dantalian no Shoka.
Hassaku Hassaku Jouga no AssFakku~
Actually, I never knew anything about mononoke. I just saw it mentioned on wikipedia I think and watched it.
Never knew when it was made, can't remember the studio, directors, actors or anything, but I know it's good shit.
I take it whoever made it did more quality work? Or did they just fade to obscurity?
It is /a/'s duty as a community to save anime from the throes of obscurity with the help of handy and easy-to-use reaction pictures.
Have you done anything to serve our purpose, anon?
watched for the hapshiel
stayed for the fun
I watched this on Fox Kids
I have the manga of this, it was pretty good
its like a super shit SYD, it baffles me how bad it was.
I bought the R1 dvds,
what a waste
This is my contribution, never ever seen it mentioned on here before.
>30-dai no Hoken Taiku
>Bokura wa Minna Kawaisou(aired like last season and haven't seem a thread since)
>Busou Shinki(Nobody remembers shinkis)
>Chitose get you(surprisingly good for a 5 minute short)
>Chrome Shelled Regios(except Felli reaction images)
>Dakara Boku wa, H ga Dekinai
>Dororon Emma-Kun(regrettable, such a god-tier show)
>Fight Ippatsu Juuden-Chan(only remembered fondly by piss fetish lovers
>Hanamaru Kindergarden(outside reaction images)
>Inu to Hasami(good riddance)
>Kamisama Dolls(Season 2 when?)
>Kamisama no Inai Nichiyoubi(RIFE ON ZA PLANET)
>Koi to Senkyo to Chocolat(except maybe reminders that best girl didn't win)
>Machine doll wa Kizutsukunai(except in best ED threads)
>Majimoji Rurumo(fell off the face of the Earth as soon as it ended)
>Ninin ga Shinobuden
>Onii-chan no Koto Nanka Zenzen >Suki Janain Dakara ne(monkey ears)
>Oretachi ni Tsubasa wa Nai
>Rokujouma no Shinryakusha(surprisingly forgotten, it was popular when it aired)
>Tiger and Bunny(it was supposed to become big shit)
Did I miss anything?
That's a good thing
Beat me to it.
Yes but it gets threads literally never. And when I make one they die 20 posts in even with me bumping.
HEY FUCK YOU CHICHIKO WAS KANA HANA'S BEST ROLE
Never heard of it and judging by that pic it's a good thing.
it had potential but then the earthquake happened and fucked it over
manga's alright though
>Bokura wa Minna Kawaisou(aired like last season and haven't seem a thread since)
There was a thread about the manga like 4 days ago.
it was good
especially the OP
Sora's arc was too
I mentioned Inu to Hasami. Look again.
Papa Kikinasai gets mentioned every now and then. Not completely forgotten like some of those shows.
Sankarea gets remembered a lot. Just not positively.
Really? And before that?
Season 2 never.
Oretachi ni Tsubasa was actually amusing to watch. I have no idea what was going on because the plot was wack, but it was good. You gotta love those eroge-tier character designs, specially the uniforms.
I don't understand how anyone could forget this show but it seems like everyone did.
I firmly believe I'm the only anon who liked this show.
>tfw I'm watching it when it airing but can't disscused with /a/ cause fucking job
Now i happy come back be Neet again
Did /a/ forgot about her?
Captcha: scotland ofoalen
i remember something about a movie made for this series too. is it a continuation?
I miss the time when there was a maid show every season
Maid guy best maid
Will we say the same thing about idols in. 3 years
Marimite has gotten really rare over the years, though its subtle influence still remains. I suppose it's not exactly forgotten, but still mostly dead.
I remember /a/ being oddly hesitant to talk about it back in the old days, despite the anonymity and cute girls and all. Then badass manly anime reviewer happened and the series became cool.
I don't think I'll ever get tired of its atmosphere.
The Gundam series no one talks about, and if you claim to like it people will just call you a hipster or a contrarian.
It's currently airing and no one is watching it.
>Implying I would forget noefags tears
Don't worry, still mad at myself for watching this shit
>Implying I would forget Masa-san
>Aoi being useful
Threads always end up with Victorica vs Victorique
>forgetting moot favorite anime
Kawamori hasn't made something good since this anime
Movie is a condensed retelling
NEE IMA DOUSHITE BOKURA UMARETA NO
Don't worry I'm watching the FFF release, will probably watch the last episode in 2016
I'm going for my 3rd rewatch, last episode was great too
Cursed Cube butt was delicious
Ayukawa is so cool
Just watched it, the progession made 0 sense, but somehow it still felt extremely coherent. Watashi's the best character I've seen in a long time
Overhyped shit (still good though), and mentionned every day
100% ruined by season 5, maybe the movie will save it
Nowhere near as bad as people make it to be, just another average anime
Totally disappeared in a few months
>Onii-chan no Koto Nanka Zenzen >Suki Janain Dakara ne
I was watching the opening of this one right when the breaking news about Japan being rolled over by the tsunami hit the TV news.
Now I have to think about Japan being hit by a tsunami whenever I hear the OP.
I think I've seen more of the Dragon dildo box edit and hug gif in random threads then discussion and that's when it aired
I have seen this manga mentioned once in my entire time on this board.
I have only seen one The Third thread so far.
I still remember
/m/ talks about this fairly often, around once every month and a half. Which is pretty often compared to a bunch of other stuff.
It was very cheaply made and totally uninteresting for any person that is not a huge Sengoku nerd. Even my Sengoku Basara loving friends were not interested, because Basara is at least fun, while Gifuu Doudou is all MUH RIGHTEOUSNESS
Still loved it, tho
How many people can honestly say they watched this and still remember it exists.
>Enjoying manga that does not involve fanservice, futas, lolis, futanari lolis, yuri, implied yuri or pointless romance
No wonder. Drifters is pretty good though.
I have never for at least the time I am on /a/ seen a Souten Kouro thread
It's because it isn't forgotten anon it forever lives on in my heart
>The show that never lived up to be as poplar as its rip-off: K-On!
Rollzomu a best grill.
>FAT GAY BOUNTY HUNTERS
It was a good show.
Funny, I'm watching this right now.
I loved Shark Fujishiro.
We'll never going to see Sen-imouto animated, right? ;_;
Thank goodness this is forgotten. Manga is good though.
It's not like I hate it.
It's a rare gem. I liked it. Probably one of Yuuki Aoi's best roles so far.
Meh, was disappointing after the first episode...
>Bokura wa Minna Kawaisou
It was shit. What the fuck was up with the color palate and the seiyuu? Pacing was shit too. Just shit.
forgotten for a reason, It's probably the only show I've ever watched from start to finish that wasn't great, wasn't complete shit but was just pretty fucking boring. Only kept up with it because howling flame.
Thinking back on it I'm pretty sure I only read it to the end because it was just something I did every week for years. I don't think I was even that much of a fan of it after the whole goddess thing took off.
That said I do miss it, and my Elsie nendo's never leaving my shelf.
You know it's going to fall through though.
I know I'm breaking your heart, I love this anime too, but you have to accept reality.
The team that's working on it won't get enough cash together.
It's the same damn reason the last episode never came out.
Best show of its year, I don't care what you say.
You guys still TRUST ME TRUST ME TRUST ME TRUST ME right?
Not gonna lie, this and Baccano are probably my favorite shows ever
I hope people forget about the anime so hard that we get a proper manga adaptation.
what do you mean forgotten? pic related is still one of my favorites (even though the manga ended strangely)
I'm still fucking mad we'll never get S2.
I'm starting to think I just have low standards or something since like 75% of the things I like are almost universally met with "it wasn't bad but it was just such a letdown" when I try to talk about them most days.
Under Water Ray Romano
Please tell me I am not the only one that watched H2O footprints in the sand
Akahori Gedou Hour Rabuge
It's amusing and has a hilarious Tomokazu Seki character. The problem is that the series is divided into two different segments and unfortunately one is much weaker than the other.
Yes. If you've forgotten these hopes and dreams, that only means it's time to move on to the opes and dreams you do remember after all this time. Or even new hopes and dreams altogether.
Cant we skip the budget jokes at least once?
Neither of /a/ or /jp/ seems to care about Japan. They only care about anime. Kinda hope tsunami struck USA.
Forgotten animu is why AMV Hell is so great. Every new one that comes out I find a ton of new old animes to watch. It's a goldmine
reminder to remember
More people need to experience Popee the performer, it's a great (and deeply unsettling) comedy.
anyone? even if you though it was shit.
Lurk moar faggot the true semen demon is eternal.
I heard it's getting a new season.
Will it be good this time?
Alot of people have seen it; It was an ok show and the op is now stuck in my head dammit
I didn't know Charlie Sheen had his own anime
Does anyone still talk about RaXephon?
What was enraging about RaXephon?
I'm adding UFO Ultramaiden Valkyrie to the forgotten list
Haven't seen this in years but I recall it being a lot of fun and that the lead character was a badass.
Tiger & Bunny, dunno if it was mentioned already. It was extremely hyped and was expected to become a cult anime of some sort. Too bad it died the second it finished airing. Only thing what's left of it is fujoshi fanart.
shit man i remember it! and for god knows why, the subbing version i had was horrible. If i remember it was translated from Japanese to mandarin, then to English.... the struggle of understanding anyone was real but i still loved the shit out of it
Astro Fighter Sunred
Soredemo Machi wa Mawatteiru
These are all good to great shows that I see mentioned on /a/ maybe once a month at most. I've seen Oniisama E... mentioned maybe 2 times total in the
yearthat I've been here.
The thing is, robotics;notes was kinda good
I'll let you go since you posted best face.
