Secret Santa Thread? Secret Santa thread!
You should have started shipping this weekend edition
>Did you ship your package?
>As it been stolen by a grinch?
>How are your /ss/ cards ?
Everything has been sent. Just waiting for Christmas now.
Whoever got IC of Canada - I highly suggest sending the gift soon if you haven't already. Depending on how far you live away from me, it might be a bit risky in another few days, since I'm out on December 18th until the end of December.
I'm curious, how many people still haven't ordered gifts yet for their anons? At this point, it's too late to ship by SAL from Japan and expect to get it in time for Christmas, much less repacking the gift.
If you're ordering domestic, what stores/outlets are you using?
Remember that if you know your gift will be delayed, please notify your recipient and/or the Secret S/a/nta organizers so that you don't get blacklisted.
Please give your packages at least one week to reach your recipient since the post system will be swamped horribly the closer to Christmas it gets. Monday, December 15, is likely to be the busiest shipping day of the year in the US. Try to ship on or before December 17 if possible. It may seem painfully obvious, but there is no mail delivery on Christmas Day. Receiving the gift post-Christmas takes a lot of the spirit out of the occasion.
If you haven't mailed it out yet, do it NOW. Good luck, buddy.
>For the mailing-savvy
Print your own labels at home and save yourself from standing in the infinite line at the post office, or use your workplace's mailing services if it's offered. The holiday crunch is already on and I've witnessed some lengthy waits at the post office.
I went to the post office in the black neighborhood and only waited about 10 minutes, compared to the 25+ minute wait in my neighborhood.
Don't know if it's a freak occurrence, but it might work for some other people.
EFof MNAfter some trouble with payment and shipping, your gifts are being shipped currently to me for wrapping, you may or may not get them by Christmas. Hope for a Christmas Miracle MBof MA ARof AZ PSof MI
Your cards are being sent on Wednesday, Please look forward to it.
I picked up wood/fossilized ivory carving for next year's thing. I actually had an unopened figma that I forgot about that I could've sent for this year, but oh well. I wonder how long a carving takes. Perhaps I should pick some of my favorite franchises and hope someone else shares them.
Simple sounds good. I just estimated the total time spent on the 3 cards and it was easily over 35 hours total(7 pieces of papercut art takes a long fucking time) and I'm just too spent to worry too much about what to write. Another question though, do most people use /a/non or the persons name to personalize it more?
Please do not bully.
I've been lurking for 4 years and hardly post
more like you're new or you're from another board and don't know how to
I wrote about a paragraph or less in all my cards. Write about their tastes, about anime you both like, anime you've discovered or watched from your backlog, and anime you'd recommend.
Don't be afraid to talk about other things as well.
Even my Reddit Secret Santa gift has been shipped and it would appear that my Santa is actually an anime/game fanboy.
Yes I joined both because my roommate is a normalfag who forced me to do so
The more I read those threads the more obvious it is that it is flooded with retards, crossboarders and reddit babies. Too bad, it started out as a fun idea, but not gonna bother next year.
