snake became a slut
How could she?
bat a shit
monkey a shit
snake a best
Looking at Bakemonogatari, Nadeko was effectively a non-character, with little more to her than "muh Kyomi onii-chan played with me when no one else would". On the other hand, Tsubasa had a reasonable amount of personality: she laughed at dumb jokes, was frequently earnest in her interactions with other characters, was able to express both negative and positive emotions in reasonable ways - actually, I think that's my biggest problem with Nadeko, that she was unable to be anything but demure. This is not to say Tsubasa was reasonable at all times (nor will I deny her obvious main role as an interpersonal mentor for Koyomi), but we actually get a sense of her likes and dislikes. Sure, Tsubasa isn't as funny as Hitagi, Mayoi, or Suruga, but it's nice to have characters that aren't so overtly "on" all the time in the presence of several who are.
I don't think there was ever any other option
>bringing monkey into this
You done fucked up now.
If snake is the best how come she's a shit?
Snake thread/ turned into a monkey thread/
This thread is terrible and is now being commandeered in the name of monkey for monkey related shenanigans.
snake isn't the best, she's just as shit as crab.
Monkey doesn't need to take over every single Monogatari thread.
She's a fun girl but her fans are obnoxious.
Why are you upset that monkey is posted? It doesn't stop you from posting whatever.
There have been threads about this.
The conclusion is they are all nuts.
Snake > Bat > Monkey > Cat > Snail > Phoenix > Bee > Crab
Snake best grill.
Yeah they seem to try to make some sort of arguments as to why she's not a shit but they all boil down to some variation of:
>Snake did nothing wrong, she is great.
But she selfishly tried to murder a bunch of people simply as an excuse so she could keep avoiding her problems of dealing with other people.
>But all the other girls have problems too, she's not a shit
All the other girls feel responsible for their action and deal with the internal problems that caused them. She's the only one with no character growth gained by acting like a psycho.
>B-b-ut she's only 14, such an unstable age mentally. It's not her fault she's so fucked up.
I don't remember being a murdering psychopath at the age of 14. In any case why would you like a emotionally unstable 14 year old girl who is obviously a few screws short?
>I like my women with mental baggage. Damaged goods are not enough, I want my goods so broken that no store in the country will be accepting returns. Besides, she reminds me of my own crippling social anxiety, delusional fantasies, unrequited love(to a 2D waifu) and self loathing.
Okay anon, but she's still a shit. And you have shit taste.
And also some issues but I think you are aware of them.
goodtaste, you just need to switch monkey and snake. And then crab and snake.
Who is dumber? Bee or snake? They both seem pretty fucking stupid but I wonder which one of them wins the "Dumbest Grill Award".
At least snake researched how to get rid of her snake before stabbing shit to death. Bee went full leeroy jenkins and got owned by a single touch. Bee is definitely retarded.
But does doing extensive research and still fucking it up make you more or less retarded than the person who does the later without the former?
At least bee has the excuse of being rash to fall back on.
Tsubasa Tiger is one the best arcs in the series though.
>implying it's not an imgur gif ripped from reddit.
Get your shaming straight.
The filename is an imgur one, but the filesize and watermark are clear indications of tumblrtude.
Oh. You probably shouldn't watch it, then. Maybe just watch Nise episode eight.
That's the point you dumb motherfucker. Nadeko has façade and is scared of doing anything that could bring conflict or pain into her life. It just takes Kaiki mentioning her real interests for her to instantly drop all her spaghetti.
>some subsequent instalment I don't care about
Then you can just shut up and go away. An opinion formulated with less than 1/4 of the material given is not worth expressing.
I firmly established the subset of the franchise that I was talking about at the beginning of my post. I'm not sure why you responded at all.
I have. For the most part, it's not very good.
>Guys, who is better, Snake or Cat?
>Well, in this part of the series, Snake barely shows at all, so I can say Cat is better.
>What about you consider the rest of the series where it Snake is actually focused on and it's explained why nothing about her was shown before?
>No, shut up, I don't like that part, and I'm going to ignore it.
Why the hell were YOU posting in the first place if you were going to exclude the parts where Snake actually is a character? How is it an acceptable response at all?
>Why the hell were YOU posting in the first place if you were going to exclude the parts where Snake actually is a character?
Because it's a fault of the series for her to be a poor character in Bake.
>How is it an acceptable response at all?
Bake and Kizu stand very well on their own.
>but it's nice to have characters that aren't so overtly "on"
This is actually what makes me like Hanekawa the most. She knows how to joke and laugh at dumb shit but still kinda reserved about it.
>Because it's a fault of the series for her to be a poor character in Bake.
1) Nobody asked this.
2) How so?
3) Her arc in Bake wasn't even about her, so showing her as a character was never the point of it.
>Bake and Kizu stand very well on their own.
And the first Star Wars stands well on its own, but you're goddamn idiot if somebody asks you what you thought of Darth Vader being Luke's father and you deliberately ignored the other two movies that actually are about that.
She was dropped on her head as a child.
Araragi drove her to suicide and she lost most of her brain cells in the the attempt.
Tsukihi strangled her periodically when they were babies to establish dominance.
Take your pick.
>1) Nobody asked this.
The OP asked which character I thought was worse. I wrote what came to mind.
>2) How so?
There's enough focus on her for it to be detrimental. Compare to Shinobu, who appears so little that it doesn't matter.
>3) Her arc in Bake wasn't even about her, so showing her as a character was never the point of it.
See point 2, I guess.
>And the first Star Wars stands well on its own, but you're goddamn idiot if somebody asks you what you thought of Darth Vader being Luke's father and you deliberately ignored the other two movies that actually are about that.
I'm trying to piece together what you're trying to convey with this. Are you saying that I can't critique her character in Bake because such a thing doesn't exist?
No he's right about her being a non-character in bake. The entire arc was basically some plot building, Kanbaru's and Araragi's relationship, and Araragi's personal character development.
