Are you really gonna make me go through this for a third time?
I'm not planning on finishing UBW but I may watch this scene to relive the feels and mourn for best girl.
the strongest servant, he even breaks dimensions
>He lost because he was using his body to shield illya from gil's attacks.
So? That's his fault for not forcing Ilya to stay in a safe spot. A war involves both a master and servant.
>Ufo not taking the ballsy route
I don't know about that anon...
I was a tsukihime fan, when I found out that shiki and his friends were getting another anime I was ecstatic, I watched carnival fantasm and there she was. Love at first sight. I watched the first anime and the way she appeared, how she wrecked everyone's ish, it was amazing, how she established herself as his sister and joked the rest of the series away, I was happy. Then I watched that movie....
2 seasons of prism illya fate/zero and 90+ chapters of fate manga still havent erased that damnable event from my mind.
Don't worry, they're going to pointlessly change the scene like usual and it won't be the same as the last 2 times. Maybe they'll change the location to a swamp or maybe make Ilya say "you're cool Berserker" instead.
>This is actually the most fitting end of all and deserved to be it's own route
>mfw I'll never watch the light slowly fade from Shirou's eyes as he manipulates everyone into killing each other before eventually dying himself.
If you don't think Illya is the cutest girl ever you need to kill yourself.
>people were worried they won't be able to fit HF into one movie
>ufo goes Mind of Steel route
>movie is significantly shorter than expected
>ends soon after with Rider killing Shirou when he goes to the church to kill Sakura
>movies had good pacing, events aren't skipped, best ending
Her cuteness is a miracle of the universe. Ilya is so cute that Ilya herself cannot resist Ilya's cuteness, so Ilya becomes part of Ilya's harem.
Where are the poor A rank teeth dead wolfs?
This is very urgent. Does anyone have the full nude version of this?
I actually tossed that out on a total whim but holy shit, as I think about it more ufo going Superhero/SLH for HF would actually be pretty mind blowing and could even work. SH could be cheaper to make also, and would allow for a pretty different take on everything to be animated.
>mfw if the Einzberns hadn't corrupted the grail Kerry would have succeeded
>mfw we'll never get to see the Emiya family happily plodding along in their day to day life in Fuyuki city
She doesn't need help in that department, she is written lewd to begin with. All this and I haven't even seen Prism, so I imagine she is even a lewder loli in that.
The wish is stupid to begin with, corrupted grail or not.
Even Rin and Shirou, 2 kids, take the piss out of the "world peace, no more evil meanies" idea at one point in the VN as should anyone with two brain cells to rub together.
Probably, since the Grail likely isn't even that powerful. Still, consider the NGNL route played straight and without any overall agenda, nor with any magic races: nobody is allowed to murder/injure anybody else anymore, all conflict has to be resolved through games. People can still argue and be mean, and clever people will still be able to inflict suffering, but overall it's possible to imagine there being "world peace", at least to a major extent. That doesn't mean everyone is happy, but no more war or weapons use would be a pretty significant step.
Such a world wouldn't necessarily need to look much different from the First World right now if you think about it. The fact is that there hasn't been a real war fought within US/Canada borders in living memory, West Europe has been pretty stable too. Everyone spends lots on weapons but they're mainly used externally. If it was actually impossible per "magic" for anyone to physically attack the West so military spending went away it'd be some change but I wonder if it'd even affect much in our regular lives. Beyond less taxes I guess.
Read the visual novel, or wait for it to rain swords. Up to you.
Her original master used all his command steals to make her do lewd stuff so she killed him, and Kuzuki found her near death. They fucked a lot.
"He was rough like asura, but gentle like buddha."
Castilya the lewdest, Lilya the purest,
Small Japanese dick couldn't possibly pleasure a losse slut Greek woman. I get that Kuzuki gives his mana to Caster but the fact that he's a "Master" would mean that any Servant could just contract with outsiders for mana if they hate their original Masters.
World Peace doesn't mean no wars. There's technically not many 'wars' going on in the world right now, but there's tons of suffering everywhere in all forms because people are assholes.
Even in the first world you have terrorism and civil unrest happening all the time, most snubbed by agencies like the CIA and HUMINT.
World peace is stupid because it simply cannot be achieved with human nature.
>any Servant could just contract with outsiders for mana if they hate their original Masters.
Mages are preferable because they can actually give you mana consistently though. Without that you have to resort to eating people like Rider and Caster do.
It was heavily implied when Caster was having her flashback. Something about how disgusting her original master was.
How do you think Shirou provides mana for Saber despite being a regular human prior to training? Gathering mana from people in the town not only suggests that regular people have mana in them, but that it's also helping to sustain her and make her stronger.
Do you not pay attention to anything you watch or read? Fuck it, I'm done answering you. I can only answer so many stupid questions before I get fed up.
>A servant without his sanity can't really be expected to offer such advice.
>doesn't realize Hercules had his sanity at all times unless illya told him not to bring it with him
hah. Fuck Gil and fuck Saber. Nasu is a hack.
Would Guts make a good servant? What would his stats and noble phantasm be?
Would he have been a good father to both Illya & Shirou though?
FUCK NASU OR WHOEVER WAS RESPONSIBLE
>wish for world peace
>since grail is fucked up it registers this as "let's kill all humanity, that will make the world peaceful!"
>you just exterminated all humans
Look at the bright side. The world will be indeed peaceful with no humans.
Is there any mage family that isn't full of fuck-ups? Because this is getting to dragon age tier mage stupidity.
This fucker alone just ruined the entire grail war and he keeps trying anyway.
>caring about gender
If he is cute, fuck it.
>>mfw if the Einzberns hadn't corrupted the grail Kerry would have succeeded
This is really dependent on if Saber can defeat Gilgamesh with the assistance of one command spell.
Gil kind of had Saber pinned down with noble phantasms and she was half-dead already.
A command spell boosted Excalibur could probably fire before Enuma Elish is ready or something, though.
>World Peace doesn't mean no wars.
Actually it does. No wars, no major organized violence at all, basically if how things were in America/Australia/West Europe/Japan applied to the entire planet. It doesn't mean that people aren't mean, don't argue, that everybody has health insurance or equal rights whatever else, that's all separate.
>There's technically not many 'wars' going on in the world right now,
There is a LOT of violence and "wars" (effectively, I don't care if they aren't "official" by whatever), not all but a lot of other problems in term stem from the use of weapons. IRL, there's absolutely nothing easy to do about that and a hundred ways to try to chip away at the problem, all of them hard. But with a truly omnipotent wish granting device? Making everything like the First World is certainly physically possible.
>Even in the first world you have terrorism and civil unrest happening all the time,
"Civil unrest", that doesn't mean anything if it's not violent. And as for violent civil unrest/terrorism, well that'd go away in this scenario too.
>World peace is stupid because it simply cannot be achieved with human nature.
Don't be a fucking retard. There is absolutely nothing in the laws of physics or human nature that would prevent First World from being universal. Nothing. As a practical matter due to how history has run, our current resources, other priorities, etc., it's not really something worth going after much either. But don't confuse that with "cannot be achieved with human nature".
Read the thread faggot, here we're imagining how things could have gone if the Grail WASN'T corrupted by the retarded, self-defeating Einzburns.
Depends on your viewpoint on "fuckup".
Even though they can't win a grail war, the einzberns are still an extremely old lineage and can recreate miracles through prana.
The grail war is honestly pretty low tier in terms of importance to most magi.
haha holy shit these guys are pathetic
even worse than people who've convinved themselves that fate was ever good
it has nothing to do with time
If you want to spend 15 extra hours just so you can read more filler text, then go ahead. Some people like FSN because of the animation and not the shit story
>The grail war is honestly pretty low tier in terms of importance to most magi.
"Most magi" aren't aware of it, it's kept low key, Einzfags use lineage+bribery on Mage Association plus most magi consider Japan to be worthless bassackwards hickville, and there's tons of politics shit behind the scenes. The prospect of actually getting a path to the Root would be a massive attraction in general, which is why the actual Greater Grail and all that is kept secret, it's off in the middle of nowhere, and so on.
The YAMATO are the strongest nationality in Nasuverse
Thats why a nameless farmer cut break reality with his sword and become a superior swordsman to all baka gaijin heroic spirits.
>complains about VNs not being games by posting a picture of a VN character
What? Where? Please stop trying so hard.
Mr. >>119003865 over her used her implication arrows and her SAP to imply that VNs are not Video games. I don't mind either way since they're kind of but kind of not but I just feel like she needs to understand that if she posts the image there in the meta data post history not there in the previous not opening to discussion
Eh? I don't think that they aren't aware of it. Waver was easily able to lookup information in the Association's library regarding it.
It's that it doesn't seem very attractive of a prospect to them.
Fighting in a death battle? Most magi are not combat specialists, even though they probably have a few spells to help them out. They have no experience in battle. Kayneth was naive and wanted to have a traditional duel amongst other magi and you can see what happened regarding that. Other magi are less naive than that.
And then if you survive this death battle, you get an object of religious mythology (they believe it is of religious mythology) while not-subscribed to the life of faith and actually think that it will grant them access to the root? It's wishful thinking at best, unless you are apart of the three families that know the truth regarding it.
That is why outsider magi never joined seeking the root. It's unbelievable.
Ilya just wants to be with her onii-chan.
And here's what happened when he broke her little heart.
thats why he said its kept low ky and most magi dont know about it/its true purpos, if all of them knw th ultimate goal of the HGW was for an access to the root, most if not not all would be competing to even get a spot, or outright interfere with the HGW
I'm serious anon, go read more background material. In particular, the "grail" that is generally more "public" (though the whole thing is still secret, and still "by those incompetent asian apes") is just the lesser, not actual magic. The Greater Grail which is supposed to open a path to the Root is supposed to be a total secret known only to the 3 founding families, the idea being that even if one of the 4 outsiders participating wins the lesser grail isn't actually *that* big a deal and they won't know about the Greater Grail at all. Waver's information was partly stolen and quite incomplete. There's a lot of layers to the whole thing as is normal with mages, who are pretty much universally bastards and stupid careful over their research.
Why don't magi collaborate with their research so that it can go faster?
come on anon miyu is an exception, you can't blame ilya for wanting to tap that. barely counts as a "classmate" anyway really. as for fucking kuro that's kind of like masturbation so it's cool too. anyway that's ilya emiya, can't hold anything with emiya in the name responsible for getting dem bitches. even kerry started with some milk chocolate before going for white chocolate you know?
The ultimate goal is to ask for any wish. Root access included. However I believe the magi don't believe in it, due to the religious nature of the object.
Waver's information wasn't stolen. It was in the library of the magi association. If you want to keep something a secret from other magi, putting it in the library of their main school is a bad way to go about it.
If someone wins the lesser grail, commands their servant to sudoku and are standing at one of the main leylines, it's possible for access to the root. They don't have to be standing at the great grail for it.
SHE DOESN'T EVEN KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH IT EITHER SHE'S AS USELESS AS SHIROU IS.
>work together and share their personal mysteries
>I don't understand what these girls are saying at all.
>Huh kind of odd how much they're hugging me, maybe they're cold?
>No that can't be it, they're taking off their clothes now.
>None of this makes any sense.
>I want to go watch my magical girl anime.
Because nobody who writes manga for a living knows how to do actual research.
Don't forget that in Prismaverse, she's grown up with Shirou and thus been tainted by his density.
She still won't win because Nasu never lets imouto win.
I want to see these faggots shit themselves during ep 12.
Maybe even heavens feel
>the Grail likely isn't even that powerful
It can alter reality and reach the root. In it's original state before the third war it served as an omnipotent wish granting device that gathered up the pure burning souls of heroic spirits in the cauldron of the greater grail to make anything possible. I think it's fair to infer that changing the world/universe beyond the scope of human imagination or understanding is possible for it.
>Pick off the master and slink away and wait for Gil to burn out. Independent action can only take a guy so far.
Gil's IA is A-rank though isn't it? Assuming he didn't just find another master again, or fuck who knows what he'd do. He'd have pretty significant operating time though.
Really, hard to say exactly how things would have gone with an uncorrupted Grail. About the same? Most of the players would have presumably been about the same and with the same motivations and entry, but was Caster due to the corrupted Grail or not? Because that'd be a significant disruption if changed. Tokiomi would probably have still tried for and gotten Gil though, and in term Koto would have probably fallen to temptation because he'd have been the same too. Which might still have left a Kerry/Koto showdown, and we did see Kerry win that one once.
>Nasu never lets imouto win.
(Does some googling)
Well, I learned something new. I'm only a mid-tier Fatefag, I'd never even heard of AATM before. All I had was a stay few pages that got posted before.
Now I know!
>It's funny because he wishes that Yamada was a girl in the end.
That was actually some of the joke, we're talking the Grail war, you could fight with that guy then use the Grail to wish him into a girl if you wanted. Total parallel in more ways then one. Also he used the power of god to do the naked knee sock thing, the Yamada bit was more of a joke and because nobody actually wanted him to stop being cute.
>A+: Servant can remain in this world indefinitely even without a Master. However, in order to activate his Noble Phantasm, it is necessary to first acquire an extra supply of prana from alternative sources.
No GoB unless he starts sucking cocks.
>Implying anyone will ever win Shirou
>Implying Shirou himself is not a metaphor for the Holy Grail in that all the combatant seek but can never attain him
>Implying he does not end with Bazett because they're the only ones dense enough not to notice each other's density
They do. They do it at a place called the clock tower, where they collude together to hoard magic so as to maintain what little strength there is left of it.
Long story short, if the secret was out the level of the mysteries would fade drastically and before long all magic would be shit and useless.
I'm pretty sure actually activating Ea takes significant energy at least. Actually, so would using most any other NP beyond merely firing it, but he just doesn't bother with the others nor does he really need Ea in general either. Of course, for all we know Gil has some mana potions in his treasury or some shit.
Really who knows what way Gil would go. Would he just quit the whole thing in disgust, thinking it'd all be his in the end anyway and he only came on a whim in the first place? Would he accept some other master or consider that beneath him? Same with eating souls, would he consider that beneath him too? Maybe they wouldn't meet his standards, or maybe he'd consider them his subjects or who knows.
Saber's luck stat gets promoted three ranks when Shirou's her master - no fucking clue as to why since everything else drops.
Also because Nasu is racist against the Irish.
>Ilya will never get a good end and always die
Saber has naturally high luck. Her incompatibility with Kiritsugu dropped the luck stat more severely than blackening. Kiritsugu is literally worse than all the evil in the world.
That's what happens when you try to rig the game though I guess. It's karma.
It seems like the Einzberns spunked away all their talent when they sacrificed Justicia to create the core of the greater grail.
Both choices lead to cute conversations, so you have to do both at some point. After reading Illya's choice, I would choose Rin thereafter because
I love her with all my heart.
>not the short way
He is the REAL playtime, waiting for voices and getting all cg / ends.
extra is fucking terrible, literally no reason to go through it. just look up a summary of the characters and plot and there you go, you saved hours of your time that would have been spent going through shit
Fake as duck.
Auto-read the whole way with some back tracking to get all choices.
>Choosing a slut over your sister is a terrible thing to do.
It doesn't matter which route you choose, rin ad shirou are meant for each other, even just as fuck buddies at the very least
Gilgamesh is obviously and undeniable strong, but after being so corrupted and cocky in the 5th war he makes lots of mistakes and gives a lot of openings, also I don't think he's that good or smart enough for a mano a mano fight, considering his class and all
Gil could still beat a Saber with Avalon, but he'd have to play smarter. The reason why he loses in Fate is because Avalon is a good counter to his advantage of NP spam and Ea.
We already have a pretty good idea of how Gil would behave. He isn't so jarringly different between Zero and SN, where he's fine with eating souls and contrasted with Iskandar as a king who didn't need subjects.
probably one of his counter guardian summonings
>but he'd have to play smarter
Well there you have it, he didn't, he's not smart enough to react quickly after being cached off guard
That has fuck-all to do with intelligence. He didn't react because he was anchored, and he didn't win because he had no knowledge of Avalon and didn't kill her when the opportunity presented itself right before she used it.
I tried to get as many Rin points as possible in Heaven's Feel even though they were useless.
>probably one of his counter guardian summonings
"A friend turning on him before he went too far" happened when Shirou was alive and playing a hero of justice, It would've happened before he actually became counter-guardian.
In addition to Lancer class he can be summoned as Caster and Berserker. In Ace/Royal he can be summoned as Rider or Saber. People bitch and moan about Ace/Royal because it's a card game, but it provides a bunch of alternate summon's for heroes that should be able to be summoned as other classes, but are locked out for stupid nonsensical reasons.
Yes listen to this anon
If TH ever gets adapted, I hope it's the manga adaptation with some extra shit from other routes, that was the best adaptation out there yet, even though that's not saying much
also do you guys think we are going to see a clocktower scene at the end of next season?
I want to believe
there will be a Tsukihime anime that isn't complete shit.
God I haven't seen that image in like ten years.
the manga adaptation, and quick, before Nasu turns tsukihime remake into dark souls somehow, also satsuki reality marble vs ubw, who wins? (can this even be possible?)
I really liked the design of the characters in the anime, especially Arcueid, but I'll be damned if they didn't fuck up everything else. I'm not surprised since they fell into the trap of trying to adapt every route. The Deen Fate would have been much worse if it had 6+ routes crammed together with half the episodes.
Nobody knows what happens when you try to Reality Marble in a Reality Marble but Nasu.
Depletion Garden would probably crash another RM in seconds if they have to exist simultaneously though.
Near Side. I always felt that Roa made a pretty shitty villain, and focusing more on the bizarre and fucked up things in the Tohno family's history and the relationships of the maids and siblings was more interesting than pseudochristian fantasy nonsense.
The characters were the best part of Tsukihime and I didn't like the Far side routes for sidelining so many of them
Started Tsukihime. Are these vertical lines in the text supposed to be there?
why did you had to give me hope anon, why did you had to put that into my mind, do you have any idea how long it would take to get over it after I never get this?
it was, yer a mage sherro
>no one cares about Strange Fake
If it was ever adapted I would very much wish for it to be done with pacing and style similar to KnK.
I would happily compromise the production values for the mood and atmosphere and overall directing that the KnK movies had. I feel like the almost oppressive atmosphere and smothering presence of the environment that especially the first KnK movie had would be perfect for a Tsukihime adaptation.
You'll get used to it eventually|||or not.
because of the rules of the nasuverse, magic becomes weaker the more people understand its inner workings. only the most general knowledge is shared.
even then magic needs to be burned into the body and ones potential is set at birth so it takes multiple generations of the same family to accomplish anything in most cases
>Muh blue haired girl of the Church who wants my D
>Muh slutty encarnation of the FUCKING MOON who also wants my D
>Muh power of killing anything
>Muh Muh Muh
God, he is more self insert than Shirou.
But Mikiya still win.
Thought that was Bulat for a second there.
I need to get my eyes checked.
Y'know, since EVERY single motherfucking fight in Nasuverse always gets decided by Noble Phantasms, the first five parameters are a complete waste of space.
answer me typefags, if there was ever a "main" plot line in the nasuverse, you know, something central that joined the plots from the diferent works nasu did, would it be sorounding the aozaki sisters right?
Yeah, KnK is what gave me hope for another go at Tsukihime someday. The feel is very different from Fate despite being high production values, overlapping studio and same universe. So they're not incapable of keeping things distinct, which is actually kind of rare, and in turn it's not impossible that Tsukihime could keep a different feel from Fate too, assuming Nasu doesn't decide otherwise I guess. Hopefully they'll all recognize the value of not having everything become same-y.
Because I like type-moon. Now hush about this nonsense.
I forgot about that old fart, but yeah that's exactly what I was thinking
you think so? there isn't that much to explode than those two anyway, maybe something completely new, but that would mean "killing off" those two franchises too(storywise I mean), so I kind of find it hard to believe otherwise too.
yes, but she doesn't get laid as often
Man, I just really want dead apostles to be explored more. So much fucking potential. Sacchin is so goddamn OP and becomes one in a day and also has a reality marble, but she doesn't even have her own route.
More stuff involving the church would be great too. Grail wars are nice and all, but I want other stuff.
in short: they broke their own rules and also the rule of "don't be a complete fucking retard" by summoning the embodiment of human evil as their servant for the third war figuring LOL EZ WIN NOW never realizing that
A) embodiment of evil was a fucking weakling who'd lose asap
B) whole point of grail is gathering up mana/spirit, and grail has no "morality" it's just a tool, so if you feed it total evil HMM MAYBE SOMETHING MIGHT GO WRONG
they did this because they were so rectal ragnarok'd after losing a mere two wars because apparently they thought they'd just win instantly or some shit.
or even shorter tl;dr: elder einz is a prideful impatient dumbshit
it's not being a slut if she's in a long term monogamous relationship with the dense mother fucker. Anyway's she eventually got what she wanted in the end
Does anyone else get the feeling that they're bullshitting us about what Satsuki's route contains? Arcueid and Ciel appear in their full roles, meaning it can't be an early Near Side route. Akiha's power is well known as well as Kohaku's unhinged mind. That implies the full knowledge of the Far Side routes is revealed. Nero Chaos is dead, Roa is dead, Satsuki is alive as the tenth Dead Apostle Ancestor if they want her to be. Arcueid and Ciel are both still hanging around, but Shiki hasn't chosen either one. They just took all the most interesting bits of all the routes and stuck them together while maintaining the full cast and making sure that there are no boring villains from the old game still around. They can write whatever they want to with Satsuki's route.
>"Where are you, Berserker? I can't see you"
There wasn't really anything bad about the guy himself (except that he was a shitty, shitty servant). It's just that the wishes inscribed on his flesh happened to trigger the grail's wish-granting function when he died.
Jouji Nakata really has a very narrow range of characters he can voice.
Though, granted, the ones he does are fucking amazing.
"1 out of a 10,000 individuals has the potential to achieve this level [dead apostle] but it takes at least a hundred years of development. Satsuki Yumizuka was a rare case among rare cases, for she had enough magical potential to skip the first two steps and become a vampire from the beginning. "
From the wiki anyway.
So was that hour-long episode the end of the first cour? I always figured it'd end at Achah's betrayal.
Second season will open with the betrayal of White Man.
Nah, this is the best place for it to end. By the betrayal you've already had Shirou lose Saber and everything not immediately explode into horribleness, so at that point you're already expecting them to keep on trucking anyway.
So, where does one find a subbed version of the S2 trailer? All I can find is the shitty LQ one on youtube.
I bet his hair is the blame for being called White Man by Shirou.
>but they DID cut the classmates melting to their bones in the first floor thing
Yeah, that was one of the things that mildly surprised me actually, I honestly thought ufo would leave it in rather then toning it way down so that nobody was hurt. F/Z was plenty dark enough, and I think it was actually a pretty important scene because it's when Rin (and players) really starts to realize how Distorted Shirou is. She's a mage apprentice, full personality control and everything, but even she was shaken by that, but Shirou doesn't really react at all beyond mild concern and analysis.
Didn't have remotely the same impact at all with people just "passed out". I guess they must have decided that F/SN, even in UBW/HF, should be lighter overall then F/Z. Commercially that's understandable and it's not a huge deal but I think it actually would have been worth it in terms of character development and setting the tone to actually show the real effects of Blood Fort Andromeda.
Take a wild guess.
From Shirou's perspective, he saw the hair and the sword.
And we all know Shirou notices swords above everything else, thus relating him to 'white' before 'red'. He doesn't have a red sword, and the black one was on the other side.
If anything it's a very subtle foreshadowing.
How necessary IS it for one to read the VN to enjoy the series?
>Nobody knows what happens when you try to Reality Marble in a Reality Marble but Nasu.
Supposedly the most "powerful" world crushes the other. Whatever power is meant to imply when it comes to reality marbles.
Or at the very least that's what can be inferred from how reality marbles interact with gaia, and gaia's "reality marble".
In theory, if a reality marble more powerful than gaia's were to be summoned, gaia should be crushed by whatever reality marble that was imposed on it, and then that world would become relatively self sustainable as gaia no longer tries to crush it. And then that would become the normal world.
We can probably assume that's how reality marbles would interact with other reality marbles as well. Provided how it should all be the same shit with the exception of gaia's reality marble being the most powerful and without another reality ontop of it trying to crush it.
>Shirou uses projection
>GREEN LIGHTNING EVERYWHERE, GREEN LIGHTNING AURA CRACKLING AFTER PROJECTION!
But that's not how I ever envisioned projection. This is worse than Shirou's lightsaber wooden swords and chair legs. I always imagined it as one second your hand is empty, there's a "blueprint" that last the blink of an eye, and then boom weapon. Not going super saiyan.
Though I did like how they executed his post-projection circuit damage. Hopefully his other projections will be smoother without any lightning.
How necessary? Probably only like 20% of people would find it completely unenjoyable without previous experience. But people who have read the VN probably find it way more enjoyable overall.
Not unenjoyable, but not as enjoyable.
I've been waiting a few days to reply to him with this.
>But that's not how I ever envisioned projection
Me neither. I mean, I guess it's one way to see it since whenever Shirou uses projection you get a look at his magic circuits doing that, but I always saw that as being INTERNAL.
Taking a look at Archer though I think the more he uses it the less "showy" it will look, and eventually you'll just see the blades appearing without much of a flash at all.
Chances are good that you will find it meh, or just simply bad. More likely so if you have expectations based on the hype built by people actually invested in the multi media franchise.
But then again, even if you actually did end up enjoying it, which is a fairly plausible outcome as well.
You are still very likely to end up disappointed that you have basically ruined the franchise for yourself by digesting it in the wrong order.
If you only watch the animated adaptions you're getting a really fragmented experience. Each route on its own doesn't give you a good enough understanding of what's going on behind the scenes. That said, it's not necessary, the Ufa adaptions are really quite good and the deen adaption (which is basically a mangled version of the Fate route) is watchable.
Did the way Archer projects the twin swords fit your image better? I assume after the "reveal" happens, and Shirou starts to learn some shit, he'll project the way Archer does with very little or no "sparks".
Did you think all this lightning shit was, like, a metaphor?
DEEN Shirou can project a blanket. I bet no other Shirou can do that. Thus;
DEEN Shirou >>>> VN and Ufotable Shirou
Most of the hype around this series comes from people who have read the VN. If you haven't read it, you won't see what the big deal is when you watch it. Basically watching it without reading the VN is a good way to ruin any potential enjoyment you could have gotten out of the series.
>I always imagined it as one second your hand is empty, there's a "blueprint" that last the blink of an eye, and then boom weapon. Not going super saiyan.
The "super saiyan" was probably Shirou overloading and frying his circuits from overcasting. And if he is slower than Archer it's because he is inexperienced.
Archer, being legit good at projection can do it in the blink of an eye as evident from his clashes with Lancer where blocked a barrage of attacks faster than the speed of sound. Blocking with a new weapon in hand each time.
FWIW anon, and beyond the obvious of ufo just wanting to juice things up, I think they might argue some justification in terms of "long inactive circuits having energy forced through them again" type thing. In other words all the fancy effects are not projection, I mean shit, we see EMIYA do plenty of projection and it's simple as you describe. Rather all the lightning and shit is a complete side effect of circuits being pumped and going nuts, it was a one time thing. Plus of course him using his nerves as pseudo circuits like a dumbshit for a while.
There exists no greater justice in this world than the fact that Ilyashitters have to endure the fact that her literal heart was awesomely torn out of her psuedohuman body in dramatic bloody fashion
It's almost enough for me to respect Nasu
Actually it is enough to make me respect Nasu. He's like a mini-Anno
That's a long pause between pages. I read at 35 or 40 speed usually, and keep the pause between pages anywhere from 200 to 500. Removing the background moonspeak speeds the game up a LOT on autoread, too.
How do we auto-ban anyone who posts images from the DEEN anime?
For instance we could calculate the md5 (or sha2) hashes of every screencap of every frame of the DEEN series, and autoban any images that match it.
Ufotable is doing it's best, but after the first episode they dropped the internal monologues that give a much better picture of who Shirou is. You can watch and enjoy the series, but I would advice reading the VN.
If you are put off by the clunky and overly long sex scenes that make George R.R. Martin's sex scenes look like art then go with the RN version. It removes the sex scense, adds some pretty god-teir music, and includes some other fun stuff. i have some problems with some of the things it does with the HF route, but that's more of a personal issue.
Well it isn't. Those circuits run through his body. You see them glow through his flesh when he's getting into it.
When they're crackling with lightning, HE'S crackling with lightning.
It's only so electrical the first few times though. When everything works right, there's just the glowing circuit-board lines.
Wow, total badass.
Yeah, Archer's projection in episode 0 was pretty much exactly how I imagined the magic. With all that lightning being internal, which IMO makes it seem even worse. He's being fucking fried from the inside. Hopefully you're right, and I can see that. Need to make the first projection look crazy cool, then tone it down.
You can get another view on things by looking at the TYPEs, which can create "reality marbles" merely by existing but just sort of seem to result in a blended world with Gaia like Crystal Valley. Presumably as the ultimates of each respective world they're equivalent in power, though since they're inactive until Notes and at that point Gaia is dead it's hard to draw a whole lot of info.
Actually that's an interesting thought, I wonder if any humans had survived beyond GG with reality marbles how they'd work in the Land of Steel. Would they be able to wield them pretty freely with relatively low cost since there'd be no counter force?
You know if you wanted I could stream the movie dubbed if you wanna see it so bad.
And that's what I love. The simple, internal charging and the BARELY visible burst of energy (thin green lines appearing in pulses, and only lightly) just seems so much more dangerous than super saiyan style stuff. Dat calm confidence and the knowledge that while it isn't that showy, those lines mean the character is at max output. I guess I just like the subtle/implied badassery over the obvious stuff.
I was just saying that it's an option, some people get turned off by the sex scenes. I don't like what RN did to them either, especially in HF. Half of what made Sakura a sympathetic villain was that she she was brutalized and raped for most of her life, taking that away, making her a vampire, and having her kill Shinji for spoiling a movie was just stupid.
>the reason /a/ hates DEEN so much is because they QUALITY-fucked-up the battle scenes, the primary and arguably only parts of merit in an animated adaptation
>Actually that's an interesting thought, I wonder if any humans had survived beyond GG with reality marbles how they'd work in the Land of Steel. Would they be able to wield them pretty freely with relatively low cost since there'd be no counter force?
In theory, yes, but they'd still need to get the necessary mana to deploy and maintain them somehow. There'd be less cost.
Once you're out in space, for example, activating UBW should be much easier, and it'll even give you an environment to live in and shit, but you do still need to maintain that world, and activate it.
King Protea, Fate/CCC Foxtail, scrapped design from CCC that Nasu approved of and finished the stat page for the manga. It's a servant that should not be summoned, even the Mooncell sealed it away.
>Real Name: Kingprotea
>Alignment: Lawful Good
>Noble Phantasm: -
>Alter Ego of thirst of love.
>G means gigantism, growing, greed.
>It was formerly sealed at the ends of the imaginary number space.
>Alter Egos are complexes made from several goddesses, however Protea is created from the essence of the great Mother Goddess that is common throughout all mythologies. Her self can be treated as a Noble Phantasm as she does not >possess a Noble Phantasm. As with the Golden White Face, she's a hazard that can only be overcome in battle through the combined strength of several servants.
>■ Huge Scale - EX
>A cheat skill that evolved from Self-Modification.
>There is no limit to how large she can get. Once the upper limit is reached, the upper limit is further increased. This is infinitely repeated. Basically infinite growth of infinite growth.
>Anywho, she's a planet destroying universe level disaster, but giant transformation makes her lose complex intelligence and function. This skill cannot bear common sense, so one completely self-destructs.
>■ Grow Up Grow - EX
>Cheat Skill evolving from Experience Point Bonus.
>Experience Point Bonus allows one to gain a bonus percentage of experience points after a battle. King Protea's skill cheats and changes it to "Always gaining Experience Points."
>■ Self-Suggestion - EX
>Suggestion applied to oneself.
>A skill that raises resistance against mental interference. At A rank "I do not age = Truly stops aging" level of assumption is possible. At EX level, whatever is going on in that mental world is outside of understanding.
DEEN did a lot of things right, but people like to hate on them because of the bandwagon. You even get to the point where idiots say DEEN is the worst studio ever despite only watching Higurashi and F/SN.
Too bad RN is canon.
The fuck? Last I checked king protea was a flower. Not any person in history.
How does a plant become a Servant?
Because that's Rider.
>Once you're out in space, for example, activating UBW should be much easier, and it'll even give you an environment to live in and shit, but you do still need to maintain that world, and activate it.
Type Moon: The Space Odyssey.
The colonizers of the new world have encountered a problem. And the oxygen on their ship is running out.
But wait! One man has a hidden secret. He is actually a magus! With a Reality Marble at that.
He summons his Reality Marble to save the lives of the colony. But wait. There is no supply of mana! The inhabitants of this world must now accept and live with the fact that this man is literally the centre of their world and needs to be given a steady supply of mana or else their world will succumb ending in the death of them all!
It's based on the forgotten original divine spirit from some ancient ruins that existed in Turkey which date back some 8000 years or something.
>Potnia Theron [EX]
>Potnia Theron (Conception of All Animals).
>The authority of the goddesses whom BB compiled and absorbed from the abyss of the mooncell.
>What it is is the embodiment of the power of creation possessed by the mother goddesses, originating from a forgotten goddess approximately 8000 years ago (the goddess of Çatalhöyük), and branching to Tiamat and Cybele, Ishtar, Inanna, Athena, Astarte, Gaia, Hera, Artemis, Aphrodite, Demeter, Athena, etc.
>Many are imaged with mural crowns. This is because many of the goddesses were also the guardian deities of cities.
>The symbols of this authority are the holes opening in the earth and the sky (caves and the moon), the whirlpools and typhoons of the sea, the craters of volcanos, and so on, and from these, evils bringing forth all manners of death are birthed.
>But once these evils have finished spreading death, they leave the promise of good harvest and fertility. This authority is none other than the power of bringing death as well as giving life.
>The earth mother is a guardian deity revered by the people and their protector, and at the same time she is the sacrifice that feeds them with the crops born from her body and the beasts of the fields and the forests.
>The earth mother feeds man with her blood and flesh, kills man over time and absorbs him as nutrition, and once again feeds man with her replenished blood and flesh.
Everything is fucking canon.
You do realize Fate is a garbage omnipandering franchise, right?
Face it, your favourite series is artistically and intellectually fucking bankrupt and nasu can't be arsed to take a single hard stance on anything because he doesn't want to aggravate much less alienate a single member of the fanbase that's given him so much money.
There's a reason they removed H-scenes
There's a reason there's multiple anime in the first place
It's not for VNfags
It's not for "true" fans
It's not for you.
He's pandering to a mainstream more normalfag audience who don't want to be bothered with spending days reading an eroge from a decade ago.
Nasu has stabbed you and your brethren in the back and yet you're delusional enough to think of it as an extreme backrub.
Nasu is trying to milk this cow for all its worth from every audience and you keep giving him what he wants.
What's /a/ doing for Tsukihime's 15th birthday?
>This process is the circle of the food chain, and the cycle of life and death can be said to be the true nature of the earth mother. With this authority, most of the goddesses gave birth to countless monsters and giants and posed a threat to the gods and man, or they gave birth to heroes and became protectors of man.
>Tiamat and Gaia are examples of those who became threats, and Hera is an example of a mother of heroes.
>Those born on this earth cannot defy the authority of the earth mother, as that would mean rebelling against the system of life itself.
>However, it is when they have left this earth to go into outer space and ended the infantile stage of intelligent lifeforms that they should no longer be bound to this authority..
>The wish of Çatalhöyük is the coming of that day.
>commence harem hijinx
I wonder if an RM would move according to the wishes of its owner while in space? In FZ Iskandar can control where people exit the RM up to a certain point, but is that short-range or long range?
>enter RM somewhere between Earth and Moon
>in your world, you decide distance, bitch
>leave RM in orbit over Mars
Shit... there has to be a common screencap for something so silly. I never bothered with RN because I already had the original + RN content, this sounds like even the creators hate wormslut. The whole "the other daughter would have been better" and "grandfather left a single grain of rice uneaten" shit was bad enough, but HA is practically a VN in the style of Carnival Phantasm in some scenes, so I let it slide. RN lets Sakura be THAT petty?
>butcher the storyline
Have you ever watched a "good" anime that had to adapt 3 routes into one story? How about condensing a 20 hour narrative into a 1 hour movie? DEEN isn't to blame.
>If you are put off by the clunky and overly long sex scenes that make George R.R. Martin's sex scenes look like art then go with the RN version
While I do agree with you that playing the VN is better then nothing and if someone truly found that a deal breaker I'd rather they at least gave RN a spin, unfortunately some of the sex scenes have important stuff and do matter, they're just terrible. Guess it's a bit of a microcosm of a lot of the issues with FSN, as another anon said it's a grand tale with all parts combined, and there's a ton of interesting stuff both above and below the surface, which is why people get into it. But holy fuck can it be a bear to get through sometimes.
Some of the remakes may give a chance to polish stuff up, there are more people on board now with talent, but fundamentally if you really want to get through all the originals I think to some extent one just has to man up and be prepared for some rough spots.
>do you have anything to back this up?
Every single release of F/SN post RN has been the RN version. With how Nasu is now going all-ages, it's probably going to be the version all events are based on from now on. Also, RN's name ties directly to LE, which embodies themes from the entire VN and acts as another definitive ending beside HF.
Well you have to understand that adapting a VN is never easy, especially when it has multiple routes.
>Anime won't be enjoyable unless you've read the VN
But all my housemates are watching it and love it. Mainly because of
the characters and plot. Nobody's commented on Tohsaka's thighs yet for some reason.
I think this anime's a little more accessible with how they've executed Shirou. It's pretty clear earlier on that his SEIGI NO MIKATA crap is the result of deep personal reasons/history, not shounen MC #23, making him more likeable because you know he's not simply stupid.
It takes a lot longer in the VN to realize how deep Shirou's mental damage runs.
hopefully finish a nicer version of the manga
What happened if she summoned as evil spirit?
Other then being stronger of course.
>I still don't know who that is.
Which one? The literal semen demon?
Final boss of Fate/CCC, a human magus that aspired to become a god, and indeed became something Nasu puts on par with an elder god after back-stabbing her way to glory throughout the plot. Power levels became universal for a bit there, but due to her own stupidity among other things the protagonist and his servant who had reached the root were (sorta) were barely able to put her under. Compared to the main boss of the game, she isn't as well liked for a few reasons. Demon makes up for it by having probably the best servant in Fate to date, who despite not being able to fight is a fusion of Dio Brando and Kotomine.
>It takes a lot longer in the VN to realize how deep Shirou's mental damage runs.
Not sure I entirely agree with you there, at least not if we're talking UBW route. See >>119009612, I thought how Shirou acted at school under Blood Fort was one of the big underlines of This Dude Is Fucked Up. I agree ufo has done a solid job overall and there's lots of genuine improvements as well as subtle hints, but if I hadn't gone in knowing he was distorted and watching for how they handled it I don't know if I'd have noticed as clearly all the times his reactions are "off" or know why.
