at least they had some positive interactions
Even SasuKarin was better. And that wasn't even really a romance.
Was there even any romance there? All we really knew was that Sakura thought Sasuke was cute. Beyond that, there was that one scene before he left and that hospital scene but that was literally it.
Could you even call Sorato a romance?
There were many signs or results.
Sakura was created with Sasuke. Karin was added against Kishi's will by the newest editor. He never wanted Taka to happen.
You're blind to not see why Sakura won and why he insulted Karin's feelings as fangirl, obsessive and lustful.
That was the point? Karin was just comic relief, like Lee's feelings for Sakura. Both were hopeless suitors. Sasuke's fate was to stay with Team 7 as overchachiving arc. Hooking up with the chick who represented a dark and edgy fate makes no sense at all.
Sakura was always going to end up with him because she's the only girl in Team 7.
>Not completely baseless one sided obsession
Oh anon...silly anon..
Seriously, she "loved" a guy that ran around being a fucking psychopath and even when he was present in Konoha didn't give her the time of day, then he comes back with a half-assed apology and she's ready to accept his demon semen.
imagine if Naruto's and Sasuke's looks were swapped
Yea Kishi obviously likes SasuSaku and agrees with it's message but that doesn't mean it's not terrible and that most of the readers didn't hate it. Kishi complained about how unpopular Sakura always was in a recent interview.
sasutachi is the only answer
I don't remember there actually BEING any Sasusaku moments in Naruto.
I remember Sakura pined for Sasuke a lot, but I don't remember them having any actual moments beyond when he left the village.
A big problem was that he talked about a fangirly looking crush over looks like it was true love. Sasuke showing even the slightest bit of affection for her instead of just constantly calling her annoying and trying to kill her would have went a long way in portraying that she didn't just like him for his looks.
>You know it's gonna happen
I'm not saying that ichiruika is going to happen but orihime has had nothing but death and sadness flags from the get go. Even when bleach had tons of shipping bait in the first arc she just got death flags
>Kubo had less talent than Kishi
You think he's gonna some how wow us in 20-40 chapters by giving either ship proper development? Either ending is gonna be shitty anyway so I'm not really invested enough to argue. Agree to disagree?
Ichiruki has had plenty of development to say they got together in the epilogue.
What manga have you been reading?
Ichihime has had no development though, beyond Orihime being a complete psychopath
Kishi should write shoujo. I think he'd make a better job than writing shounen, or at least the readers would appreciate his work unironically. Maybe if fantasy shoujo was still a thing.
This is why I keep saying Sasuke should have had actual DARKNESS manifest from him during the final battle and once he finally gets his ass fully kicked it fades away or some shit and he becomes an alright guy. It would have been a whole new level of retarded, but it would have actually made sense and made DARKNESS something other than just shitty overblown angst.
Ichigo jizzing to the thought of Rukia on valentines day.
It's the other way around. NaruHina and Hinata were the original ideas for the story and SasuSaku was it's partnet for some reason. NaruSaku was paired with SasuKarin for again some reason I don't understand like in this teaser.
Good fucking god Kishimoto's art is ugly.
Thank god Kubo is a decent artist.
And Kishi's original idea for Naruto was a magic school a la Harry Potter but his editor suggested ninjas. It's useless to speculate of what could be. The thing is that Sasusaku was huge, way bigger than Narusaku while even Nejihina was bigger than Naruhina.
>b-but muh poll
Hinatafags were divided between shipping Hinata with Naruto, with Neji or with themselves
Bleach's anime has only successfully copied Kubo's art once.
For a Ichiruki filler
They didn't need to rewrite it. Are you saying it was literally impossible to just build on where they left off? No. Kishi thought it would be cute to add in a scarf into the love story because his wife gave him a scarf.
Madara is best girl, best villain, best character and best grandpa
I actually thought Sasuke would wind up alone. He never showed any attraction to any girl despite tons throwing themselves at him. Why does everything have to have shipping shit. It made more sense for Sasuke to end alone based on the story written.
So Kishi can make his SasuNaru OTP happen with their kids only this time it isn't gay.
Sasuke did show feelings for Sakura in part 1 but everything regarding him went to shit when edge and darkness kicked in.
Kishi retcons backstories a lot. Naruto and Sasuke's brotherhood didn't even make sense until Kishi pulled some childhood flashbacks out of his ass for the first Vally of the End fight.
Sasuke's epilogue made a lot more sense if we see him as a closeted gay trying to fulfill his duty as a man and having a family but he doesn't want to stay with them.
>Sasuke and Sakura's honeymoon
>Sasuke whispering "Naruto" while having sex with Sakura
>literally eat Kishi alive
The thing is, it could have worked very easily.
Naruto was written as a kid ostracized by his entire community and he never knew why and he's finally put into a situation where he can have friends, and even though he and Sasuke didn't see eye to eye there was plenty of potential for a real friendship, especially since Sasuke didn't have much tolerance for Sakura's shitty attitude towards him.
Instead Sasuke minds his own business for half the Chunin exam arc, is ABSENT for most of Tsunade, and then suddenly we're supposed to bring him back and think Naruto is doing anything more than what he was obligated to do.
Fuck Team 7. Kishi tried so hard to make us believe it was special but it will always be the worst group in the entire manga.
Taka was completely dysfunctional and they still came off as a better team unit.
Well the Narusaku are saying that kishi is taking sakura's scenes and reappropriate them to Hinata. For example, Sakura being bullied by boys.
Imagine the Narusaku getting pissed if kishi makes a naruhina version of the bench scene.
Naruto always came across as a lunatic whenever he ranted about the eternal bond he had with Sasuke when the manga only managed to show them as little more than casual acquaintances.
>Hinata was Naruto's only friend at some point during their childhood but Naruto ruined it
You seem to be going by false info. The movie never portrays Naruto and Hinata as ex-childhood friends.
I've translated this shit as much as I can if people wanna check it out.
>Ah... I'm tired...
>Toothpaste's gone, huh...
>... It's gotten kinda long, huh.
>Hinata: ... ....?
>Wh-what do I do...
>Uwa- what's wrong?
>Sakura: naruto- that head!
>Naruto: I cut my hair!
>Does it suit me? Does it suit me?
>Sakura: Heeeeh, it's kinda... atmosphere-changing, isn't it?
>Naruto: Heheeh, right?
>Sakura-chan, that hairstyle suits you too!
>Sakura: ... But I cut mine last month
>Hinata: I'm no good...
>Even now I can't call out to him...
>I haven't grown up since then.
>Once more I'm just looking at Naruto-kun's back.
>I won't go yet...
>sfx: WAPU (WHAM)
>Kiba: What're you doing?
>When walking, face firmly forward.
>Hinata: Shino-kun, Kiba-kun...
>Kiba: What is it, Naruto again?
>Pull yourself together.* If it's you, it'll be fine, won't it?
>Kiba: Uwah! That guy's got a crewcut, Shino! Gyahahaha!
>Shino: Stop it, Kiba. Hinata's mood will become bad. Moreover, that is not a crewcut.
>Kiba: Hinata, you're cool even with that? Ahahaha
>Hinata: Na, Naruto-kun, no matter what his appearance, is Naruto-kun...
>I-I think his current haircut also suits him...
>Kiba: [Damn it... needless damage.]
>Shino: That's why I said stop, Kiba.
>Learn this lesson well.
I never got what their team gimmick was. Looking at other teams InoShikaCho are a long running team of specialists. Team 8's abilities are made for tracking & recon. Team Guy are frontline fighters. Team 7 got nothing but a forced looking Sannin recognition near the end.
>Kiba(?): On the whole that head is definitely too good for you!
>Naruto: Yo! What're you guys up to?
>Sakura: A mission
>Shino: That's right.
>Kiba: From here on we're headed to Hokage-sama's-
>I've changed my image!**
>Sakura: I know that you're complimenting yourself while speaking to Hinata* (You're so embarrassing)
>Naruto: Hee hee hee
>Hinata, could it be that you think pre-haircut Naruto was better?
>sfx: zuun (mortified)
>Hinata: It's a d... different Naruto-kun...
>Uhm... that's not it...
>Sakura(?): Hinataaa, let it gooo
>[She explained properly]
** Naruto's using a phrase here that mostly idols use to talk about changing their aesthetics
(?) = It's not clear who's speaking
Here's where shit gets and headache inducing.
>[She said it suits him and he was praised]
>Sakura: Self-interested, aren't you?
>Kiba: Speaking of which,
>Sakura, your hair's grown out like it was long ago, hasn't it?
>Hinata: Mm, it really suits you... (You look so adult, I'm jealous.)
>Sakura: Aw, Hinata, you're great!
>Kiba: Hinata, what if you cut your hair short too?
>Kiba: It's getting pretty long, right?
>Shino: Mm. It may be that you change moods once in a while.
>Hinata: Since I'll look like a kid...
>Kiba: I'm not saying that!! I'm saying it's okay if you don't do the same hairstyle as back then. I'm saying a type like back then and now.
>Naruto: No way.
>Hinata, how you have it now is fine.
>If you cut it, that'd be wasteful.
>So, drop it.
>Hinata: ... Yes.
I couldn't figure out what the fuck Sakura was saying, something about her hair suiting her or some bullshit. It's mostly just filler dialogue.
>I can't staaaaand this!
>C'mon, let's go, Hinata!
>The reason is that anything more than this and the damage will be unnecessary.
>Later, Naruto-kun, Sakura-san...
>Sakura: Do your best!!
>Naruto: Do your best!!
>Kiba: You're slow, Hinata!!
[Team 8 text is virtually unreadable]
>Sakura: Welp, I'm gonna go shopping and head home.
>What about you, Naruto?
>Naruto: Nah... I'm not hurt or anything...
>It's just, after talking with those guys for the first time in a while, I wanted to talk a little longer, is all.
>When I get back I think I'll treat myself to some ramen
>['Cause you were poking!]
>If you're going back, I'll go with you.
>Naruto: Really?! Great!
>Sakura(?): By the way, believe those guys.*
>Naruto(?): Nah, I know who the strong one is.*
*Not sure what this part means.
And the omake, which I may have rushed a bit.
>Kakashi: I do not send two people in a relationship on the same mission.
>Naruto: Heehh? You're so cruel, Kakashi-sensei! I can't eat ramen when I'm worried!
>Text: [Happy, but extremely embarrassed->]
>Kakashi: Listen up. I'll entrust another other honor to you and you'll return, right?
>Bottom Text: They were boyfriend and girlfriend on a job... is what they thought, but
>He thought about their two personalities and decided not to put them together
Honestly, compared to the other really fucking long one I translated, this kinda wasn't worth it, but it's pretty much done. The empty spots can be filled by another translator. By normal pricing, this would've cost around 65 bucks to translate.
Good work on those.
I translated this one (it's on danbooru) but I'm missing two things, the footnote (that has some kanji I don't recognize, that 冂 with a 白 or something inside) and that kanji that I really can't read inside the parenthesis on the last panel.
Any help would be appreciated.
The chaotic, sadistic mass of pure hatred and malevolence that destroyed his home and murdered his mother and father in cold blood while trying to kill him as a baby and left him an exile while living inside his very being his entire life was a better friend than Sasuke ever was.
Sakura literally has no reason to love this plot device of a character, save for the fact that he is marginally more attractive than the blond kid
Actually, scratch that, she has no reason whatsoever to love him
not even saved by claiming it's accurate for teens, just plain bad
Sasuke's supposed to be really, really attractive. Rewatch early Naruto. Every girl mentions how much charisma and whatever he has.
The blonde haired , blue eyes kid is a noisy , annoying brat, that no one likes , of course.
Sasuke was literally apparently chick magnet.
Kept seeing this get posted for the past few days. From the frustration it's apparently caused you, I think I can get now why it hadn't been translated up till now. Nevertheless, thanks for taking the time to translate it anyway.
>Team 7 were losers
Sasuke was a genius and a from an almost dead powerful clan and Naruto came from also another almost dead powerful clan and was the son of the 4th
Sakura had no right to be on that team.
Florence Nightingale syndrome
She saw Sasuke as her cool, awesome and handsome classmate and had a childish crush on him, then fell in love with him when she saw that he was actually a scared, lonely kid tormented by his past and felt and felt that it was her responsibility to save him from falling into darkness and hatred.
Kishi already confirmed that the Bort movie will show what happened to Oro
>the other really fucking long one
Oh, you did the comic where pic related is from as well? Thanks, anon.
But yeah, that long comic doesn't seem as good as the other ones.
One of them should have never been an outcast thank you fucking Hiruzen, you fucking faggot.
It baffles me that no one in the Cloud ever tried to abduct Nardo when he had his mom's fucking last name.
I know Minato said they couldn't give him his name because the Stone Niggers would kill him in revenge but what the fuck was to stop those child kidnappers of the Cloud from taking a kid who has the same face as Kushina and is obviously an Uzumaki. Hell the Cloud who have crapped themselves when they realize he was the host of the Kyuubi.
The writer is horrible.
Everyone knows this.
Seriously, he didnt even plan for Naruto to last longer than the Sasuke fight at the Valley of the End.
Read the fucking series, there's way too many contradictions and weird long term events that contradict stuff that should have taken place earlier in the series. Like Sage Mode, Senjutsu actually being a thing, ect.
The writer made shit up on the fly.
Specifically Sasuke/Sakura? Nothing really comes to mind. If you're talking the franchise in general I would say there were some decent romances in there, barring screen time.
That said, we never really see the romance. They end up together but we haven't seen the gap after he leaves and comes back. There might be a story in there like with Hinata.
Naruto's childhood is one massive plot hole. Not only is his lineage completely unknown despite it being so obvious, but there are multiple people who know about his parentage yet did nothing during his lonely childhood. Especially jarring for Jiraiya, who was his goddamn godfather. People give Hinata a hard time for not helping Naruto in his childhood, yet Jiraiya, Kakashi, and fucking Hiruzen are much worse in that regard.
Best not to think about it.
Yeah I know that. I figure that out when I was 12 and read the last chapter of Part 1 with Sasori stating that Orochimaru left Akatsuki 7 years ago.
That makes no fucking sense since Itachi didn't join until 5 years before the timeskip.
Kishimoto's insistence on making Naruto's life about saving Sasuke rather than being Hokage ruined the series.
I still believe that Sasuke ruined the series.
You cant have two main characters like that where they have their own thing going on you either have multiple main characters that take turns, or the main characters are buddy cop style shit, where they're always together.
He gets a pass because he was trying to keep the village, and Naruto to some extent, safe from Orochimaru and the Akatsuki. Kakashi and the Third however are full blown assholes.
>Especially jarring for Jiraiya, who was his goddamn godfather.
He didn't know about it until he was about to go to his very last mission, I suppose? Otherwise, why would he say this?
I think it's one of two things-
Either A: In japanese culture, it's totally fucking cool for kids to grow up without parents and lead lonely , sad lives.
Or B, the writer is complete shit.
I think it's A AND B, since apparently, Hiruzen, Tsunade, Kakashi, Jiraiya,- ALL THESE PEOPLE left a FUCKING CHILD grow up -alone- for 12 years of his life.
You get that, right?
That, doesnt even MAKE SENSE.
Is there no orphanage in Konoha?
Kids dont just fucking get sent to a home and like "Yo, here it is, son, your new crib.Aight, peace."
Think about it, for ONE second. The Leader of the Village, decided that the Village's WMD and son of the previous Leader, should be ostracized and never assured for his care. He never assigned a guard, he never even had anyone care for him.
>Facing a dangerous villain and known body snatcher/jumper
>lel i seal your arms :^)
If anything he made shit even worse because correct me if I'm wrong but that's what caused Orochimaru to kick his Sasuke related plans into high gear
>A: In japanese culture, it's totally fucking cool for kids to grow up without parents and lead lonely , sad lives.
Well it's not that since one of Sakura's first transgressions against readers everywhere was saying that Naruto was fucked up because he didn't have any parents to fellow orphan teammate Sasuke.
Er, nope, there's a flashback where Kushina and the 4th TELL him that they're naming their kid after a character in their book.
And did nothing.
He didnt even spend a minute part of his life caring for him, or using his wealth as a wealthy shinobi to hire a nursemaid.Nah, he'd rather spend it on whores and crap.(He IS wealthy, btw, as an accomplished writer).
I genuinely believe the writer just....put shit together as he went along, and didnt think about how all this is horrible.
Or are japanese just horrible people with no love for family and friends?
I'm the one who keeps posting that super fucking long comic because I thought it's all about Naruto trying to support Hinata in front of her worrying teammates (I can't read japanese) and I thought that final two panels is Sakura saying "Really, it's because you're dense!" (I thought it was 'nibuin') in the sense that Naruto didn't yet realize how much he cared about Hinata.
I'm sorry for putting you through that much pain for nothing.
Speaking of which, how many have you translated? Did you translate this one as well? This is back from early December 2014, I think.
It's so funny Tsunade remembers her but acted like Naruto was a nobody when they first met.
Same goes for Orochimaru who knew both of Naruto's parents as well but treated him like he could never be as good as them despite Sasuke at 12 was way weaker than Itachi at 12.
Christ this shit pisses me off.
Especially the fact that Danzo wasn't invented until part 2.
Sasuke already got the curse seal during the chunin arc, he was already branded as a possible body for orochimaru
but you are pretty much right, if the third just fucking killed him, sassgay might have turned out somewhat normal, stayed with the team, and combated against pain with Naruto and Co.
He realized he couldnt win, so he thought "best thing I could do is stop you from casting spells", but apparently, that angle got completely dropped, since Orochimaru could totally do spells and shit, even though he shouldnt.
I can give Kishi a lot of credit because he wrote a 700 chapter series knowing exactly where he was going with it for at least the latter 500 chapters, if not the whole thing. And he stuck to it.
But it's incredibly obvious some character relations were thought up during the creation of the series and add some minor issues.
>I genuinely believe the writer just....put shit together as he went along, and didnt think about how all this is horrible.
He did. Of course he did.
Hell the biggest dilemma he had approaching chapter 700 was how the fuck he was going to write a way for Naruto and pals to even touch Madara Uchiha.
And then he invented Kaguya and made Zetsu a betrayer because that totally makes sense.
Kishimoto included Naruto's parents in mostly to mirror his own experiences as a father. It was the main justification for creating Road to Ninja after all. He obviously didn't really stop to think about the plot holes it opened up.
I've translated quite a few, including the sequel to that pic. I wonder if the artist ever did another one of those.
Nope. This is the same man, who left to wander the world, and didnt ever come back during his godson's whole childhood. Also, he never even used a fucking fraction of his MASSIVE wealth to hire even a nursemaid, or a caretaker to ensure his GODSON was living alright.
He left him, aware of his existence, but not at all interested caring for him- even though he totally took care of three strangers before all that...
This is the same man, whose godson has to repeatedly BEG him to improve his ability to survive in his profession that feeds him and keeps him alive, but continously ditches him until he gets tired of driving him away.
Only then, does he bother teaching him...once.
You realize if I wasnt describing Jiraiya, you'd all think this was a completely shitty human being, right?
Hiruzen subscribed to the Ikari Gendo school of parenting.
>>Well it's not that since one of Sakura's first transgressions against readers everywhere was saying that Naruto was fucked up because he didn't have any parents to fellow orphan teammate Sasuke.
That was funny on a lot of levels, including that Sakura is practically an orphan except for one movie and one filler episode of the anime.
Wow, you're the guy who makes me want to typeset Naruto fanart in the first place.
>you should instantly know what is garbage tier or casual when developing a new interest
I'm sure you started out watching masterpieces when you up and decided to take on anime as an interest.
I started watching Naruto in 2003 when I was 15, and I'm going to finish watching it even though I am aware it's painfully flawed. Because despite it's shortcomings, it's fun and enjoyable.
He believed Nagato and the others to have died during the civil war.
His star pupil and his wife ended up dead too, who knows what happened to the other two, most likely also dead considering how many died in the 3rd ninja war.
If every young kid he invested his emotions in ended up dead, I could see why he might be hesitant to let himself care about another.
Again, think about what I just told you.
Let's say I described that there's this:
Very, Wealthy, Powerful Ninja.
Whose student and friend dies, and his child, who is the Powerful Ninja's official godson- is left completely alone. So, instead of taking care of him, he leaves him completely alone as a baby, and does nothing to take care of him. Spends not a single cent for his care, and doesnt check on him once. Also, this same guy doesnt return for a good decade to even check if he's alive. And yet, this is the same guy, who also took care of three strangers on a whim for three years.
This same person later on never tells the kid anything about him, his family, or anything, treats him like a complete stranger, and tries to ditch him at many times when the kid BEGS him to teach him.
He then teaches him ONE thing, then dissapears for a long time, and doesnt even attend the tournament his godson was training for.
Great human being, eh?
>caretaker to ensure his GODSON was living alright
In the shinobi world, adversity and challenge to survive makes you a stronger ninja. Naruto's painful lonely childhood made him strong enough to survive the challenges ahead.
I mean, obviously that's a copout, he simply didn't plan out the characters ahead of time far enough. But it's a decent excuse.
But anon maybe Jiraiya and Kakashi couldn't raise Naruto because of the emotional pain.
He looks alot like his dad and would be a constant reminder of the son/father that they failed to save.
That doesn't seem like a bad motive to me.
>this is ridiculous
I know. It makes NH seem like far more romantic than it was in the actual manga.
Can Naruto keep going once Hinata dies?
We know they have a daughter so for all we know Sakura just threw the pussy at him and as a serial killer and psychopath he wasn't in any position to do better so he got in there, found out she was knocked up, stuck around to keep up appearances for the villagers, and then peaces out to fuck other women.
>implying Nardo will live that long
>implying Salad won't accidentally get him killed forming an extremely love-hate relationship between her and Bolt
Kishi loves forced drama.
Movie Naruto is pretty romantic, though.
Honestly, there should just be a spin off manga about Hinata and Naruto doing lovey-dovey things, annoying everyone with their cuteness and honeymoon moments.
Don't you mean the new Coolest Guy?
>Movie Naruto is pretty romantic, though.
Yeah, because he's written by Kishi aided by other, more romantically-inclined writers and director.
Very little. After Naruto sees all the memories of Hinata in the genjutsu lake, he is much more self-conscious around her, but it doesn't stop him from acting pretty smooth.
He makes her laugh, he gets spider web out of her hair, he has her drink water from his hands, then he confesses to her.
Naruto being the badguy?
That'd be kinda cool.
How'd I write it...
An old, tired Naruto sees that the world he helped create just broke down, and that the peace he made was a fiction- a temporary peace created by a fear of Madara's power.
But time has passed. People dont remember Madara. Peace has ended. And with the rise of populations, so has nationalism in the Great Countries. And now ninja, those who endure, dont remember the meaning of their name.Elitism runs rampant, and now many ninja treat those without power like cattle.
An old man now dons an old, broken mask, to break the world he helped create.
Nah, nobody would read it.
I'm glad, then. It makes me happy to see others enjoying my translations.
>Sakura: Huh? Naruto, did Hinata knit that scar for you again?
>Naruto: Ahh. I couldn't wind up the one I got at that time, so she knit it for me again.
>S: Heehh, how great!
>N: Yup! This scarf is super warm.
>Especially when Hinata and I are together, it almost becomes too hot
>[I wonder if it's because she used some sort of special thread?]
>S: [I get that he's an idiot, so it absolutely does not occur to him to compliment his wife... but I wanna give him one punch!]
>Sasuke is forced into a double date, with Sakura as his date and Naruto/Hinata as the other couple
>Has to withstand pink girl trying to romance him
>Has to withstand Naruto and Hinata being super icha-icha
>Has to withstand Naruto trying to make him be good with Sakura
>At least Hinata gives no fuck
>But time has passed. People dont remember Madara. Peace has ended. And with the rise of populations, so has nationalism in the Great Countries. And now ninja, those who endure, ?>dont remember the meaning of their name.Elitism runs rampant, and now many ninja treat those without power like cattle.
only if this is written by urobochi and directed by Tomino, I would watch this.
>Ino and Sai
She was attracted to him, and he called her beautiful, albeit he actually thought the opposite at the time.
>Chouji and Karui
What happened with them? They fought together and she called him fat, right?
>Kiba and Cat Lady's Granddaughter
I guess he thought cats and dogs together would be cute.
Honestly, I like it. I'd rather have characters we've seen interact get paired up, rather than have characters marry random strangers we've never seen and don't care about.
It's always fun to try to take a bad idea and make interesting.
But like I said, nobody would read it.
It's not like people like seeing happy, peaceful, beloved Superheroes like Superman turn villainous, right?
That shit doesnt sell.
Maybe pre-Part I Naruto can become a villain, but post Part II it's just impossible. He's far too cheerful, far too powerful, far too protected by friends who shared his ideals to ever lose his way.
By the time he became Hokage at worst he becomes someone who does gray things.
Probably the only way to turn Naruto evil is to make him believe literally everyone turned away from him. Not just Hinata, Sasuke or Sakura, not just Kakashi or Iruka, not just Kurama and all the other Bijuu, not just the very Sage of Six Paths, but also the ramen guy.
Only then will he contemplate evil.
Naruto saved him from darkness but Sakura gave him an anchor to the village Naruto couldn't provide, that's why he taps her forehead and promises to return.
He saw Sakura as someone he has to protect in Part 1, he was really downcast Naruto was the one to do it.
It's mostly Kishi sexism speaking.
>he doesn't know how to write female characters
I keep hearing people say that, but Sakura is probably one of the more realistic characters in the series. She's flawed, but not flawed in a made up way.
Essentially. I could see Naruto and Hinata but only because I knew Naruto and Sakura didn't have a chance in hell after the fake confession.
I expected Sasuke to end up alone. Kiba and cat girl, Ino and Sai, and Chouji and Karui was complete fucking lulz.
I wonder why people thought Shikamaru/Temari is so great and so obvious when they have even less scenes than NaruHina.
>Beginning Part II
I mean, I like it, but I honestly don't know why it's so obvious.
It caught me off guard. Kishimoto had basically admitted that Shikamaru is his Gary Stu crush and had said he didn't want to write romance for him. I assumed that meant that Shikamaru would end up alone, so Kishimoto could keep him "pure".
I'm glad he got them together, of course.
I think there was a serious lack of screentime on Temari's part since Shikamaru is probably the most prominent of the 12 outside of team 7.
I think Kishi just took it for granted that we knew they'd end up fucking by part II and just dropped it.
Not yet, I watched it when I went to Tokyo. NH is my OTP, but I think Sakura came out as the best bro, her relationship with Naruto is pretty solid big sister/little brother. Sasuke couldn't even be this for Naruto.
Chintsubu has a far better romance between a man and his penis.
So this is a thing now. I am not surprised and was expecting eventually but I am surprised it is Yumi out of all people.
I would have personally hunted down and shook Kishi's hand if Naruto and Hinata got together shortly after the war and when he takes her to Ichiraku for lunch Teuchi acts all cheerful as usual then suddenly opens both eyes and pierces them both in the heart with Rikudou rods before fading to black.
>final page is "A ninja must see underneath the underneath"
>Kishi and Kubo disappear shortly before the final chapters release
Quality over quantity. What was built up was good (and MUTUAL, something that is so rare in this manga), but honestly, by the end of the manga they had very little moments and after Kishi said he wouldn't pair him up, it was a pleasant surprise.
There is actually no Madara. Just Danzo.
Except there's no Danzo either. He was a twin of the Third.
The Third turns out to not exist as a 'man' either, as it was an illusion on the entire Konoha.
Created by the Fourth.
Who's mind-controllled by Kurama.
Who is actually literally Naruto, but he manages to create an 'alternate' personality that becomes Naruto.
Jiraiya knew this, but he didn't tell him as he's planning to fuse the two personalities using a specific sealing method.
Sakura would win.
sneak peek of that bonus NH chapter from Nanashi
Naruhina. It has a fucking movie trying to convince us the two have chemistry.
God, how much lewd can Nanashi do with NH before it proceeds to fucking?
Hinata'll be fucked by gorillas
I'd cruelly love to see poor Hinata suddenly the target of her own fangirls after maturing into a beautiful woman when she's the most hetero in the entire series. She never even had a single moment that could be remotely interpreted at yuri subtext.
>I've seen people who ship GaaNaruHina with a straight face
I've seen GaaHina shippers.
God, it must be so hard to ship Hinata with anyone but Naruto, you need to come up with a way to break her Naruto-sexuality.
I loved these two. Better than whatever the fuck NH is supposed to be.
It was within arms-length.
Point is NH is shit. Pic related is a couple done right.
The argument I've seen is that Gaara is Naruto, just more broken. The curative properties of Hinata's love would fit Gaara well. She can also teach him love and all that stuff.
Realistically they'd just go on and on about Naruto, though.
Maybe they'll be good friends! Probably number 1 boy and girl in the Naruto Fanclub.
See, I still don't get that for SasuHina. She'd never give up on Naruto and if there was no Naruto she'd be a broken shell.
SasuHina comes off like the 50 Shades of Gray pairing.
nh screentime was almost non-existent especially for such a long series. that's a big sin for a couple in my book.
>NaruHina is shonen romance done well
It's done adequately in the sense that if you follow the series closely enough you'll see a thread of development.
It's nowhere near good enough to be called 'done well'. There aren't enough development from Naruto's side, there are no trials testing Hinata's feelings, Hinata herself is sidelined completely and most importantly it's not implied to be mutual until the very Last.
On the whole, I'm satisfied with NH, but that's mostly because of the movie swooping in to fix things.
Even without the movie, we'd have a confirmed marriage with children, which is more than we get from most battle shounen that introduce romance subplots. Most of them end like Eyeshield 21 or Beelzebub, with it being left ambiguous.
Two things. One, the only person Naruto freaks out more over than Sasuke is Hinata.
Two, its a SHONEN. None of those things matter in a shonen if the plot isn't about them.
The Last implies Naruto already loved her but was so out if it he didn't know what that feeling was.
Why are so many shounen authors so shy about these things?
>Even without the movie, we'd have a confirmed marriage with children, which is more than we get from most battle shounen that introduce romance subplots
For a reason. Shit feels way rushed when you go from hints to time-skip to full-blown marriage and children.
I wish she was the heroine. But she wasn't and that would have added a Hyuga plot tumor to go with the Uchiha malignancy.
She literally saves Naruto three times, twice that would have ended in his death.
Romance wasn't the plot. It did well for that fact.
You said it yourself: for a reason. The epilogue wasn't meant for you to go
>aww, how romantic!
The epilogue was meant for you to see a glimpse of the characters' lives in the future. Of course they'd get married and have children. That's what all human beings do.
But that doesn't mean you can't feel happy that the couple you wanted to see together was shown to be together in the future. I wish more series like this had timeskip marriages. If they're not going to give us the confession and wedding on screen, it's the next best thing.
>If they're not going to give us the confession and wedding on screen, it's the next best thing.
Naruto has the babies ever after epilogue plus a whole movie dedicated to the confession and the marriage.
How many other series had done that? I can't name one, but I've never paid much attention to anime movies. Hadn't even watched any Kenshin movies although I loved Rurouni to bits.
Not any that I can think of off the top of my head. I will say, regardless of genre or intended audience, the couples I am satisfied with are those that have plentiful screen time together. Time to really get to know each other, and for me as the reader to get to know them not as individuals but as a couple.
People fingering themselves over this shit is pathetic but hey, don't let anything I have to say get in the way of your enjoyment.
Fair enough. Romance of that standard is incredibly rare in shonen, even if both boy and girl are main characters.
Can NaruHina be like the Addams family?
Buso Renkin did it really well. Initially, Bleach did it too between Ichigo and Rukia though the two weren't romantically interested in each other, there was definitely a camaraderie.
SCREEN TIME, the key words and NH was starved of it. The movie's an attempt to salvage that but the effort just comes off as desperate at this point.
Daily reminder they slept together. And would have been a better couple because Eugenics
>The two could have been put on the same team
This is a fucking horrible idea. The whole point of the team he had is that it made him the undeniable underdog amongst his teammates.
>Romance was not the point
And yet we have circle-jerk nh fangirls.
Later on down the story in shippuden. Come up with some reason if you're going to try for a shoujo ending.
So who has the image with Nigger Zetsu stabbing Madara with the words Around Black Never Relax.
Implying bro Sasuke wasn't carrying team 7 till the time he left, while Naruto was to focused on trying to steal sauce's waifu to realize his idiocy is what was stopping team 7 from functioning right.
Thus proving it was perfect.
Seriously. They build it up then do a movie to shojo it. Perfect.
Super strong handholding game there
Not even NaruHina has something like that.
I wonder how far SasuSaku can be in the Boruto movie.
Part 2 only had this from what I know, but it basically confirmed them as canon with those eye panels
Sasuke can give him a run. He should have mastered the rennigan and be able to use all of his techs in tangent with susanoo meaning susanoo enhanced preta path absorbs most of what naruto can throw at him but the argument becomes what naruto starts mixing in natural energy. Sasuke has shown he can is capable of handling natural energy. But because of Naruto's larger chakra pool he should be able to pump more into his attacks than sasuke can safely absorb. But sasuke with the rennigan should also be able to summon the getto mazo which should be able to restrain Naruto's kurama avatar, as well as outer path being able to tear kurama out
Yeah, it's not that bad. People calling it/acting like it's 'the greatest love story ever told' boggles my mind though.
Himawari is love!
>People calling it/acting like it's 'the greatest love story ever told'
I don't think think I've ever seen that said here. Just that they're very happy it happened
>this will never happen
Thank you based Coolest Guy.
Part 2 was Sasuke denying the bonds that he forged with Sakura and Naruto, but his arc was to stop being an idiot and go back.
Like this anon says >>119228728 There were hints when he returned to be sane. The chapter he knocks her down was mostly Kakashi shipping them and Sasuke trying to put up excuses.
When he finally de-edges completely, the first thing he does is actually apologize in a non half assed way. She was the only one who got that.
