2 days before released. Get hyped for these Gary Stu in the cover
Will Tatsuya kill Zhou ? or he just gonna captured him without killing ?
>However, it has been noted that he is one of the strongest Magicians of his generation, with few in the world matching him. Minoru is also intelligent and will have a number of chances to show his strength perhaps as a magic artificer according to Kudou Retsu.
I remember it's noted that in full condition He's on par with Lina or Miyuki.
so question guys, if miyuki didn
t need to use half her power all the time to keep Tats from being able to nuke the planet at will, would she be around or close to the strength of a strategic class magician or not?
I think that could happen. Her cocytus is hard to avoid, she has inferno, nilfheim, and zone interference, so she has great offense and defense.
by the way didn't strategic class magician standard based on how wide your range attack ?
Maybe if she can use her nilfheim/inferno for a radius 2 or 3 km then she'll immediately considered as strategic magician class.
Not even remotely close. Miyuki doesn't have any spells with a large effective range.
She'd be be capable of using her spirit targeting spells and MI magic, but that's about it.
I think 1km is a small area. It she'd freeze not only people's mind but also destroy a large area, then maybe she could pull a sc magic, but like this anon said >>119457274 her Cocytus isn't a spell with large effective range.
We don't even know how Mio looks like.
I'd read such a doujin.
How is Masaki a gary stu? He loses, can't get the girl, spills spaghetti and gets called a fag half the time.
Minoru is the younger brother type because he is younger than both Tatsuya and Miyuki.
Fujos hate this show. There are barely any homo art on pixiv too. It's rabid Tatsuya fans and otaku with power fantasies that buy it. The rest of Nippon makes fun of it in the same way most people here on /a/ and take it like a parody.
I don't. In fact, I can't wait for this entire deal with her family to be over and done. It's about time we moved on to other 10MC families other than the Saegusa. The Kudou's still good for now since Minoru was introduced but they're also running out of time. How about the Itsuwa clan or Juumonji clan next?
He might also get caught by the Ichijous and then there will be shit on both Saegusa and Yotsuba. Maybe this is what Tatsuya wants if he's looking to undermine Maya. He seems to think she is up to more plans and has an agenda for him. I'm one of the people who think the Yotsuba are the evil ones.
I have to agree with you, we know nothing about a whole 5 other clans. I'm kind of sick of her antics in general too, the teasing has run its course and it's just not entertaining anymore. I thought we'd have more about the ancient magicians too, not Mayumi tagging along to look for Nakura's remains.
Linafags realize they don't have a leg to stand on considering Lina hasn't been sighted in 2+ volumes so they aren't as adamantly irritating as Mayumifags.
They started it.
You read my mind. It's also not like the teasing thing she had going on was so interesting in the first place. I just want to go a whole volume or something without her being in the picture. I figure once we're done with this whole Zhou issue, it should be fine.
Reading the Chinese translation:
1. The Yotsuba apparently have seven branch families
2. Hayama doubts Tatsuya is Maya's nephew
3. Maya's face becomes a bit red when Hayama says that
4. Hayama talks to Kuroba, only Maya,Hayama and the other heads of the branch families know about Tatsuya as a weapon.
5. Main goal of getting Tatsuya to catch Zhou is to test his loyalty.
Randomly went to Suki for a good chuckle. It's 4:33am, don't judge. I call bullshit on some of those easily.
>implying she's gone for good
"But, this is not the last time."
Miyuki interjected with emphatic words.
"So I shall not say goodbye, Lina."
"...Miyuki, what was that — it sounded like a confession?"
Lina widened her eyes as she stared at Miyuki with a face that had grown mischievous.
"Hmm, I suppose it might be a type of confession. You are my rival, Lina."
Miyuki was undisturbed by the remark and made that declaration in an unwavering voice.
"You will surely reach out to take Onii-sama’s hand someday. You will surely become Onii-sama's ally. And that will begin our true competition. And so, I will not say goodbye. Until we meet again, Lina."
>2. Hayama doubts Tatsuya is Maya's nephew
Imagine all those cunts who ended up correct for believing this theory. It would be unbearable. Damn it, if it was true than i want Tatsuya to become head of the Yotsuba if we are going that road.
1. I believe this. Makes sense. And intrigues me. We'll be visiting these 7 families, right?
2. I believe this. Tatsuya probably didn't behave in a way Hayama would have thought Maya's nephew would behave.
3. I believe this. In a roundabout way, Hayama was either complimenting or insulting her with this doubts.
4. I believe this. Other people had to have known about Tatsuya in the clan.
5. I believe this. Though why they should wonder when they know he's only loyal to Miyuki escapes me.
If this is all true, I'll believe it.
She'll be back when the story starts covering the anti-magician protests the USNA is dealing with. That will happen in Nippon. I suspect maybe after the 10 MC selection volume.
>The surgery was botched purposefully all along
Welcome to crazy town. Next stop is wherever the fuck we want.
Lina is gonna be the next neko. A fucking cunt that tries to take away an onii-chan from his imouto. I hope she gets eternal pain and suffering like the neko.
>Whole of Nippon makes fun of it
>best selling light novel series last year
Fucking love it.
More hilarious considering most of the posters were LN readers when it was airing.
I fists demands that she backs the fuck off.
He didn't really blow off his side. In the LN it says that all he did was use Gram Demolition on the magic that he was using to shield himself and hold together the wound he sustained from fighting Erika's brother.
He probably wouldn't be able to save Minoru because his issues are genetic and not due to injuries he sustained in the past 24 hours. I don't think Regrowth works on curing ailments and cancer like that.
Minoru might go badass and use his powers only to over extend himself and die because the body couldn't handle it. Considering nobody dies in this series, I doubt anything will happen to him.
Tatsuya has been showing signs of going rogue since vol 4. He is a genuine threat to the family and if Maya is his mother then we're in for some serious trouble.
The best part is that the hints have been there all along. Maya's magic is decomposition with a worse aim for fuck's sake.
I guess we know who will win the Tatsuyab owl then
Miyuki always gets what she wants.
That wasn't said anywhere. The Shibata are ancient magicians with a very thin bloodline, to the point that Mizuki is the first one in a number of years.
But yeah, seven families means seven seals. Tatsuya is powering up.
Don't fucking tell me she's the spy.
Yotsubas play with the names, obviously she won't have the same surname if she is the spy.
But know I think about it, why Mizuki was in 1st High in the first place, for someone like her who wants to be able to use her eyes, being in 4th would be much better.
>2. Hayama doubts Tatsuya is Maya's nephew
>3. Maya's face becomes a bit red when Hayama says that
3 is true, 2 might be, I'm not sure either. in the previous page maya says that she's not trusting tatsuya because he's her nephew but because it wouldn't do the yotsubas any good to expel him from the clan.
Then at the beginning of the following page hayama says (but I'm not completely sure) that he thinks she couldn't possibily use the excuse that he's her real nephew anyway
And the spy was from the JSDF/Independents to be near him, not from Yotsuba.
Yotsuba already keep people around enough to guard Miyuki as Hayama states, they don't need another one at the school that is "close & personal".
That can be interpreted in a few ways. Maya actually thinks of him as a nephew and deep down doesn't resent him but she can't outwardly show that to the rest of the clan because he's supposed to be a dangerous failure. Kind of like how Miya wanted to love him as a son and felt bad.
That's Miyuki's interpretation, Miya was very conflicted about Tatsuya and if he wasn't even her kid then her attitude would be justified. Compared to all other people who resented Tatsuya Miya was probably the worst.
That's another possibility, 4th lab started earlier than the rest and their research is shady and unknown but believed to deal with some kind taboo like human experimentation maybe.
mizuki being a yotsuba spy would be the greatest plot twist of the novel up to date. her affection towards mikihiko could be all a play to monitor tatsuya indirectly as it has been said that it's impossible to directly spy tatsuya without him getting aware of it
DNA manipulated test subjects are common in house Yotsuba. The SAKURA line are all artificial magicians. Minoru is an artificial magician.
We are lead to believe that that Genzou and co did acquire Maya's genetic samples during their raids of Dahan, but they destroyed them. If even a single sample escaped then it could be preserved for the future. That would explain why Tatsuya is the Yotsuba's "biggest sin".
If she's a spy she's just being used by the family. She seems to like Tatsuya and Tatsuya seems to treat her almost like family sort of like how he deals with Fumiya and Ayako. All the Yotsuba kids are sort of the victims of the family's generation of schemes and experimentation. If anything it gives them all a reason to stick together and end it maybe or pick their own destiny.
Minoru is a Kudou.
That aside, the big trend with all these genetic projects is that they have some sort of defect or shortened lifespan. Honami, Minoru, even Leo all have issues so if Tatsuya is a genetic baby, we might start seeing a downfall to his powers or the possibility of death in the end as a consequence of the experiments.
Leo is from a very early line of magician experimental subjects and he's the grandson of the only surviving subject, his prospects are very good. Minoru is fucked because his father messed too much with him and the SAKURAs only downfall is their limited manapool. Artificial magicians and their offspring don't necessarily have to die young.
>Maya actually thinks of him as a nephew
I think this is correct and Hayama points outs that she can't use that as an excuse to keep him in clan to which she realizes she slipped her true feelings out and blushes.
The fact she has feelings for him opens up that aunt x nephew route.
that would be cute of maya. it's true that both hayama and mitsugu were against relying on tatsuya so yeah, maya could be unexpectedly the adult with the highest consideration for tatsuya in the yotsuba main family and sub branches
wasn't that 1st high nurse's surname? my memory is playing tricks on me
This sounds cheesy but what if Maya had always wanted to be a mother and her niece and nephew are as close to maternal feelings as she can have thanks to Dahan. She's supposed to be a sage, one of the world's strongest magicians but deep down she still feels bitter she never had the chance to be a mother and marry her fiance. Maybe her always calling Miyuki and checking on Tatsuya is just her way of ensuring their safety. We see it as creepy and maybe controlling but she has to keep up her own appearances. Perhaps Hayama has seen through this facade and that is why she blushes. The Queen of Night is human too and power doesn't take away wanting things normal humans want.
Sages are randomly chosen, magic power has no relevance. The fact that the demon and the necromancer are both sages can only be said to be an extremely unfortunate coincidence.
People are jumping to conclusions too quickly. I don't think that passage means Tatsuys is her son, or not Miyuki's brother so OTP or that Maya suddenly wants to have a love affair with Tatsuya. She wants accept him as family but due to family politics she can't since the other branches look down on it. Mitsugu doesn't get her actions at times and he probably wants his own son as next heir.
We don't know what sages do actually it has barely been elaborated in the LN and regardless, Maya has to put up appearances whether it be as a sage or leader of the Yotsuba. She can't show an acceptance for Tatsuya as a nephew because it makes her look weak and would likely upset the other branches since they view Tatsuya as a sin. Mitsugo seems a bit questioning of her and his meeting with Miyuki was full of pretense like he has to pretend to like and accept her as the next heir candidate but really he wants his own son as heir. Can't there be inner rivalry within the branches?
All waifufags in this fanbase are equally delusional but a select few are special snowflakes in their delusions and don't hesitate to let others know exactly how deep their delusions go. You are extremely lucky to have missed the waifu wars during the anime. It was so distasteful, especially after the non-wars of pre-anime.
There are times where Miyukifags, Mayumifags, Mayafags, and Yotsubafags get to be so bad you start missing the others but then they all get really bad again and it's a neverending cycle.
>hating on Mayumi
Sure are a lot of homosexuals on /a/ these days.
It's in vol 10 and vol 11. Just ctrl+f " sage" with a space and you should be able to find it.
Yes they are an organisation, but as a sage Maya has no relationship to Jiedo, or any of the other sages.
This series sounds more and more like OC garbage written by a Westerner.
It's like the author forcibly attempts to make Tatsuya's friends relevant to the extent Mizuki needs to be blood related to Tatsuya just to seem special and stay relevant to the story.
Yeah and there were a couple Eimifags too but it was more about liking the character. Maybe one Honokafag. Miyukifags get really crazy too, like some people said the prince was cool because they liked the bloody magic and they would immediately jump on it and make it about shipping when people discussed magic. Just mention Juumonji marrying Mayumi and her fans also go nuts.
Not the greatest fanbase imo but a few people on here were pretty cool and could actually make decent jokes and discussion.
>No family history of note
The majority of magicians are like this.
>a very potent and rare perceptive power
Not rare at all. Her eye disorder is common enough and there are people in school that have to wear glasses like her.
Sorry but you fail.
>Her eye disorder is common enough and there are people in school that have to wear glasses like her.
Go reread vol 3, Mizuki's encounter with Mikihiko. Her eye power is pretty damn rare, she isn't just hypersensitive, she can see spirits as well.
>The majority of magicians are like this.
Not by far. Most magicians so far are either tied to the 100 families, descendants of test subjects, or ancient magicians. Hattori and Morizaki are odd ones out here because their origins aren't anything special.
Did you seem to think every magician is super special or something?
Majority of magicians end up with generic jobs as police, firefighters, etc
Brainy ones either become researchers, engineers, or teachers.
Brawny ones join the military in some way.
>Go reread vol 3, Mizuki's encounter with Mikihiko. Her eye power is pretty damn rare, she isn't just hypersensitive, she can see spirits as well.
That doesn't mean anything. Miki never revealed his powers to other people who share the same eye disorder as Mizuki and the author never bothered to describe the reaction of other people who share Mizuki's eye disorder.
Until Miki met Mizuki, he never encountered anyone with eye disorders before, especially her kind.
Most likely not a parasite directly since Maya noted how having one as a test sample was good for Yotsuba when she discussed them with Hayama.
But I wouldn't put it past Miya & Maya to go past just simple genetics when they cooked Onii-sama up on a vial.
I don't know why people are acting it's an asspull or OC for Mizuki to be a Yotsuba and the spy. If it's indeed true that she's a member of one of the Yotsuba branch families, it would make sense. The author put lampshaded something when he put Chiba, Shiba and Shibata in the same sentence all the way back in volume 1. Mizuki would also be one of the best people to spy on the people around the Shibas. She's in a pretty good position as a member of the group. She has really good eyes. Heck, I wouldn't be surprised if Tatsuya already suspected her. Now that it's gotten to this point, shit's suspicious. Although, I would bet good money that she's passing info on inadvertently. As in, she doesn't really know she's spying on them, just giving her observations to someone in her family.
I wish it's true.
>OC for Mizuki to be a Yotsuba and the spy
You think you've been sold tickets for the ruse cruise?
>Onii-sama's face when
Mayumi has her own pasta though.

>Implying Chibas are important at all except for author to fanwank his bushido shit and the chiba shits should have died a long time ago.
One almost got Leo killed by purposely letting slip sensitive vampire information in front of Leo so Leo could act as bait for the police when Leo is a god damn civilian and you expect more common sense for a police higherup and the faggot should have resigned if he had any conscience to speak of by putting a teenager in danger.
The other somehow just started killing Americans left and right that Tatsuya has no intention of killing and was about to successfully escape after decomposing all their American CADs and weapons before the Chiba shit just jumped in out of nowhere and hacking and slashing everyone left and right and somehow didn't get plasma beamed in half by Lina because Japanese katana > American plasma superweapon
Also, Erika acting like she is tough shit when she is just an arrogant chuuni brat with her hurr durr once I unsheathe my katana, it has to taste blood before I can put it away again which is why she starts attacking Lina who doesn't want to fight or hurt Erika at all and then when Erika realizes she chewed too much of her own bullshit, Tatsuya saves her sorry ass at the last minute and she never feels she was in the wrong for getting in that kind of dangerous situation in the first place
I'm only waiting for the confirmation of Maya being Tatsuya's mom.
Cook him up on a vial after unfreezing and combining it with some devil's juice and then fist it up your sisters magic chute since she still feels quilty about killing you mentally.
Wonderful family, no?
Best girls in one pic. It's only missing
Mayumi and Lina..
They discuss about the new magic Tatsuya is creating, and Maya wonders why is specifically "Lancer" and not "launcher" "Gas" etc.
She is amused and wants to Tatsuya keep doing his shit, because he is her nephew and shit. Maya says it's not only because he is family but because making Tatsuya an outsider is of no benefit to the clan.
The discussion is pretty short and interesting since they wonder how will this magic work. As for now they think it's basically a brionarc, but the byron lance name is quite the mistery as well.
The first part is Tatsuya and Mayumi's meeting in 1st High, where tatsuya accepts to help Mayumi to find out who was the killer.
I'm just reading so I haven't finished it
I'm when Hayama is talking with Kuroba's father
Being a Yotsuba has it perks though, with the goverment and the jsdf.
And it's not like he cares for it as long as there's negotiation room.
Would be amusing to see Tatsuya visit Ichijou household for few days to see how "normal" a 10MC family can be.
Because of Mayumi, the shipping in Mahouka never turn in to an boring one side annihilation because other girls and their tiny army took no chance against the mighty Imouto army, but some fags never know that
Yeah, that's what Mayumi tell Tatsuya. She asks him for help but he keeps refusing because he has no way to help her, and asks why is that she is interested.
Mayumi says it's because she is a Saegusa, she can't let things like this out. But maybe is also part of selfishness.
She is a Saegusa, but she does not have the power necessary to do things alone, and Tatsuya remembers how he has the 101, Yakumo and others who will lend him a hand.
Finally he accepts and asks for more information about the case. He asks for the clothes since they can bring even a little of intel. Also, Mayumi suspect Koiichi knows about this.
This is rather convenient for Tatsuya that now has a good excuse to be investigating in Kyoto. He knows about Zhou being the mastermind of blanche, 9SC and Yokohama incidents, and it is probably linked with him.
The next section is in Yotsuba residence, the conversation about Tatsuya's new magic and the technicalities. Hayama says, it's not complete, but I think they know Tatsuya will have success eventually so that's why they start talking about it, about it being based on Brionar, and the particular name. Maya is the head clan of one of the clans that have the mission of doing research, so it's natural she is interested.
Next is Mitsugu and Hayama conversation. It's basically about Zhou whereabouts and Tatsuya. Mitsugu says it's no possible for Tatsuya to remain loyal to the clan, and Hayama notes that a tool has not to be loyal, nor have heart.
Things are going to the point where Yotsubas suspect of Tatsuya, so now his standing is falling down because they are sure he will betray them in no time. Maya will have to rush and make things so Miyuki is the leader and Tatsuya is tied up to the clan.
I'm guessing volume 16 will start off at the beginning of their third year or the end of their second. After the thesis competition this volume there's no major events before the ten master clan selection early next year, unless they suddenly add in a rosen arc or another major event.
Their second year has been paced much faster than the first, the story will probably quickly move into their third year, and the ten master clan selection arc next volume, which is why the Yotsuba family structure and his new magic is getting some forshadowing this volume before it all becomes relevant next volume.
Yeah, it's understandable why the Saegusa liked him and are troubled by his death, I mean the girls not Koichi. I have a soft spot for loyalty and characters who stick to their guns like Nakura.
10MC meeting next arc seems like it'll be explosive. Like someone trying to stop Maya from announcing Miyuki as the head because it officially ties Tatsuya to the Yotsuba clan.
Finally got around to make this. Enjoy.
Probably, I don't think the Yotsuba or Saegusa are more loyal than the other. They both seem like crooked people to me with the children of both families being innocent or tools. Koichi tries to use his daughters as marriage bargaining chips for alliances. The Shippous know how crooked the Saegusa are afterall. Takuma is a little bastard but his father seems reasonable.
>Maya's face becomes a bit red when Hayama says that
If Tatsurou were the father of both and the twins the mothers, genetically Tatsuya and Miyuki would still be siblings. Not to mention Tatsurou's high psion count and that they made his design look like Tatsuya a bit. It is possible that they could extract an egg from Maya and use Tatsurous's sperm to cook up onii-sama, with Miya being the surrogate.
Tatsuya being the creation of the Dahan stolen back by the Yotsuba would be a good explanation for why most of those who know about him consider him an abomination. Now, is it possible that he did come from the womb of Miya? I don't know. The author might be going for some twisty genealogical puzzle that will make people confused on whether or not Tatsuya and Miyuki are really siblings.
Not sure, so far he seems to genuinely care about her. But like previous anons have said that blush seems to be more because of Maya actually thinking of Tatsuya as a real nephew and not just a tool.
A cocytus-material burst magician with the chance of defects is worth the risk I would say.
My Chinese cartoons tell me there's absolutely no chance of defects as long as they love each other.
If Miyuki were to get married to Masaki I can totally see her putting the condition that their child be conceived in vitro, since according to herself her body belongs to onii-sama only. Poor Masaki might never get to see the Miyuki down there.
>Implying Yotsuba would want his shitty genes.
His magic isn't even fit for assassination with no clue who is behind it, since it is pretty obvious whoever causes such huge blood splattering everywhere would be Masaki.
Far greater chance of Miyuki marrying Juumongi compared to Masaki since we know that Yotsuba is at least interested in barrier magic.
The editor won't allow a switch to NBR. Oreimo's author couldn't do it cause incestfags would get mad. Unless things change by the time Mahouka ends, it'll be the same as Oreimo.
>Implying Miyuki wouldn't use mind control if Masaki were to force himself on her and make him fuck a cactus. Not to mention the ever present eyes of onii-sama on Miyuki.
At least this makes more sense. But Miyuki agreeing to Jumanji would be even less expected.
