BONES are asking fans if they want more Space Dandy!
Let them know! It was retweeted by Toonami, maybe we can get another season and that movie!
Did /a/ like Dandy?
Space Dandy is /a/
While it's obvious he's from /co/ this IS the creators basically telling us "Let them know we want more".
And if you have taste, you probably want more.
because it didnt have enough edge and little girls?
>smooth as fuck animation filled with color
>actually good humor
>different writer every episode
>takes the time to add to the characters and give them some semblance of depth
Because it doesn't matter who it appeals to. Its still a good show.
I don't know if the show's been getting funnier, but it sure as shit is starting to get more surreal
Each episode was very different from the last, I liked how it had different directors and writers throughout the series. It made each week feel fresh and you never could predict what would happen.
Another season sounds like a good idea if they follow the same philosophy as the last two seasons. I wonder how they will handle Dr. Gel and Bea though after the finale.
Don't assume about people.
I hate Cowboy Bebop and like some (and hate some) high school setting moeblob shows. I also like Space Dandy.
Who says it was made for /v/ and /co/? And a show airing on Toonami doesn't automatically make it shit. Popularity i= quality
Yeah, I'd like another season. I don't claim I was a fan of every episode but being pretty close to a proper anthology anime that's just a thing that happens, I'm not a fan of every short in Robot Carnival either, and it's a great format.
I'd disagree, the series itself was fantastic, and I've always thought that the 2nd half was solid gold and the 1st half was littered with diamonds in a field of silver. Also, I thought the finale was 10/10 I couldn't have asked for anything more
I thought it was pretty hilarious at time. The humor and comedic undertones appealed to western auidences more anyway. I totally felt the subtle jokes that I think went over some people's heads.
The kind of show dandy is could work with both a movie or third part, I'd be eager for any more content really. And more godly ost
I honestly loved Space Dandy. The different directors per episode made it varied, from comedic episodes like the dancing/singing highschool to story-like episodes like the plant world and the ukelele guy who stole smiles (if I remembered that correctly). It was a fun show that wasn't too hard for me to watch. Do I want another season? Hell yeah.
Also, I think that many of the people that don't like Space Dandy are those that watched and expected it to be like Cowboy Beep Boop. I've never seen Cowboy Bop-It, but even I know how different it is from Space Dandy, so I can understand where they're coming from.
One thing I learned about dandy threads on /a/ is to leave your honest opinion on the show, praise it or criticize it, then leave. Its not worth staying they always devolve into shit
The thing about dandy is that it never had a central plotline. The finale just gave us closure to the secrets behind the show's nature
The only difference would be that there wouldn't be a narrator anymore
Forgive me for having multiple interests and liking to discuss things with people.
I only came to this board today because I had just finished episode 2 of Yuri Kuma Arashi
They could make episodes taking place before the series finale. Considering how episodic everything was, there's no reason that can't happen.
/co/ hates SJWs.
Go make a thread about the sexualization of women in comics and see what happens.
>I hate discussion
As if the quality of discussion would be any better or worse with or without them.
And /co/ has its Toonami threads where they talk about it anyways.
>As if the quality of discussion would be any better or worse with or without them.
Well we wouldn't be having shitty dub vs sub discussions if you guys weren't here, that's for sure.
There are people on /a/ who frequent /a/ who watch dubs and are willing to talk about them.
Tumblr links are openly posted there because they are the only board to figure out that hating websites regardless of content linked is stupid.
>Tumblr links are openly posted there because they are the only board to figure out that hating websites regardless of content linked is stupid.
Whatever you have to tell yourself to get you through the day /co/.
>There are people on /a/ who frequent /a/ who watch dubs and are willing to talk about them.
Every single time there's a dub v sub thread the dubfags admit to being crossboarders.
Please just fuck off back to /co/mblr.
The thing with Dandy was despite obviously being episodic, some episodes did drop a few hints and developments to the overall plotline. Making more would remove that since the finale gave great closure to the story. Of course, it could still be fun, but it really wouldn't be the same.
I really did like Dandy, and I think it ended on a good note so I feel like it shouldn't get a third season. But then again the writers did say they had a ton of ideas for more episodes so I really don't know. I do know that I want a movie though, that would be pretty sweet.
Hey, it's not too late for a Champloo movie, is it?
>Did /a/ like Dandy?
If you had spent any substantial amount of time here while the show was airing, you would know the answer to that question. In case you're actually some naive corporate suit who honestly wants to know whether most of /a/ would want another season, and not just some crossboarder trying to stir up shit, the true answer is
Y E S. A majority of those on /a/ who watched it liked it, and those who didn't largely ignored it after people remembered to ignore trolls. This thread is only full of shitposting because the OP mentioned Toonami - associated with /co/, whose descent into awfulness /a/ hopes to avoid - and because idiots don't seem to be able to ignore baiting; we were usually much more civilized about the whole thing. Space Dandy was an anomaly of risk-taking combined with good production on both the Japanese and English sides, contrasted with the vast desert of worn-out, identical content seen in modern Japanimation. There were high points and low points, but it was good on the whole. There, the thread is over. Now if you're actually just some cross-boarder, kindly fuck off and never return.
I'd like to see this show back, it was like a showcase of talented animators given free reign, with the only constricting detail being that it needed to feature the same crew. I think there are too fews shows like it in the industry right now.
Also, the munagi episode was the best one.
