How do you feel about random English phrases in chinese popular organized noise? Hilarious? Fucking stupid?
Not completely sure, but I'm pretty sure that it's actually possible to contract cancer from listening to them speak it for long enough.
English is pretty much required in Japan's high schools. Saying english words is common in everyday speech. They are way less xenophobic than /a/ makes them out to be but they are still one of the hardest countries to get citizenship.
The Japanese are horrible at English. The message that they're trying to get across is often incomprehensible, the pronunciation sounds like it's come from someone with downs, and the grammar is almost always completely wrong (mixing tenses, not understanding when certain words change meaning, not knowing when to express a continuing state, volition, etc.)
There is a Touhou fangame that has the famous I Have a Dream speech mixed into a Touhou song. It's the dumbest shit. I don't think the guy who was making the OST for that game had any idea what he was doing.
I wouldn't say "fucked", or agree to the implied statement that they hate you for living there, but you can expect to always be an outsider.
Close friends won't come easy, and your advancement opportunities in the workforce will be very limited if you don't play smart.
Foreigners are a novelty, not a part of Japanese society.
It's been 5 years and I still have no idea what a tracking elevator is.
P.S. This album is excellent
I like when japanese people speak correctly other languages
>J'AI BESOIN DE TOI
You're basically consigned to working as an english teacher. There aren't many other careers where you'll be able to do anything but dead-end and face japan's unique brand of passive-aggressive bullshit the whole way through.
It's not really a place to work as a foreigner. You're locked out of any decent white collar position that isn't teaching. It's not so bad for retirement, though
What a coincidence. I happen to be a schoolgirl that took a picture of you.
Well, pretty much every culture uses phrases from foreign languages that they don't know shit about just because it's cool, just look at all the people who have random Chinese characters as tattoos or the pseudo-Latin that's everywhere in all kinds of fiction and songs. A ton of American films have scenes with horribly butchered foreign languages, as well - even high-budget Hollywood movies more often have Google translator Spanish/German/French/whatever that not.
It's been killed from Youtube and Nico has no OST uploaded. The name of the game is "Touhou Fugyouseki ~ Nightmare of Sleeping Girl" and the song is called "What's an ULTIMATE TRUTH?" if you want to search for it.
Why is this show so great? I am kind of torn between wanting another season (even though it will never happen) because >Madhouse and just leaving it as is
>get hired to do anime OST
>might b cool
>lyrics are German
>you don't speak German
>no one in the anime staff does
