>>120234544 http://blog.livedoor.jp/geek/archives/51289782.html >伏見：黒猫は貧乏じゃないとずっと言っているんですけど、誰も信じてくれないんですよ。 >Kuroneko is not poor. I always say this but no one believes me. >She also worked at a bookstore, lost her job, and then got another job at another bookstore.
The final fight was so good I didn't even care Kirino won.
Didn't cheer for any girl specially, just got sad the show didn't end in the first season because it would be a good story with a very good ending. Like, a guy helps his sister to don't feel shame for her hobby and makes friends with similar taste, gets a girlfriend in the process.
I was just reseing the series, and I think that in the context of the anime series, if in that specific moment, Kuroneko had chosen to be selfish, she could have actually won Kyosuke.
I think, due to the Kirino boyfriend debacle and situation, realistically, that was a good point for both to acknowledge reality.
If Kuroneko had, say, just taken their relationship a step further, she would have won.All she had to do is let things happen naturally. A kiss there, a hug there, and Kyosuke's natural male instincts would have kicked in.
But it seems she wanted Kirino's happiness AND Kyosuke's, so...she fucked it up.
I guess my only beef is that I like Kuroneko more. She's a hardworker that loves and cares for her little sisters.
Kirino's just this annoying, spoiled princess that doesnt respect or value the amazing brother she has. Any realistic older brother would have told her to go burn in hell and to never call on him again.
He's literally letting himself get shit on, for her sake. That's no relationship. That's no friendship. That's no love. She barely, if ever reciprocates. And then she continuously treats him like trash.
If that's his acceptable standard, then he's pathetic.
>>120236959 You've failed to take into account Kyousuke's true feelings at the time, which was that he was in love with Kirino and didn't realize it. He was even hesitant to date Ruri until Kirino gave him the go ahead. If Kirino's suffering had come through and Kyousuke figured out how much she was in pain, he would have probably done something about it. It was inevitable.
>>120237406 Love fades, man. I was in love with this one girl, I had this massive unrequited love with a girl in college, we were friends, but I never had the right opportunity to make it work as a couple/I wasnt brave enough to push the issue.
One day, I met up with this of hers in my college library during a class assignment. We hit it off, became friends. It's been three years. We're married now. I dont even care about that girl I had a massive crush on.
Love is fluid. That's my point. Had Kuroneko played her cards right, she could have won Kyosuke.
>Kirino's just this annoying, spoiled princess that doesnt respect or value the amazing brother she has.
He was not, by any means, an amazing brother. He was a lazy piece of shit until Kirino asked him for help in episode 1, which made him finally put effort into something again. For years before that he ignored her. He had half of the responsibility for causing them to grow cold to each other in the first place. Kirino is also not spoiled, considering that she earned everything she has, and her behavior in Volume 3 indicates heavily that she is a hard worker.
>Any realistic older brother would have told her to go burn in hell and to never call on him again.
Which he did. Multiple times. In Volume 1 he says pic related, and later on he yells at her for dragging him around as her boyfriend and tells her to make her real boyfriend do it next time. That's not even counting the times he's called her a bitch in his mind while choosing to keep it to himself.
>He's literally letting himself get shit on, for her sake. That's no relationship. That's no friendship. That's no love.
That's love on his side. Try paying attention and you'll see what he gets out of it. It got him out of the slums of his laziness and gave him a reason to make friends and do things again.
>She barely, if ever reciprocates. And then she continuously treats him like trash.
She constantly supports him after Volume 7 and they apologize to each other for being terrible siblings later on. I can see how you'd think that from an anime perspective but even then it's a stretch.
>>120238103 In short, The anime is bad. The anime series was made into the perfect advertisement by baiting in folks who should have never been part of the fanbase in the first place. These are the folks that talk about how the series was "A fun commentary of otaku culture" when it never was and/or the highly dense individuals who never saw the incest at all until the last few episodes happened.
Why was it bad? Many things were changed that shouldn't have been changed (Kirino/Kuroneko/Kyousuke/Manami characters), other things were ommitted that later became extremely important (Incest hints/Manami Parts/Some of Kyousuke's dialogue/Events), and some aspects of it (Kuroneko/Harem) were highlighted when they were never as important as the anime makes it out to be at all.
As for why that happened. Well, judging by interviews between the author and the anime staff, there seemed to have been a sort of power struggle on what should be covered and how it should be covered. Generally speaking, the anime staff wanted this to be a typical harem with Kuroneko winning and Kyousuke being a typical harem MC. In contrast, the LN author wanted this to be a simple sibling love story between a pair of siblings that hated each others guts but later came to know, understand, appreciate and love one another.
This rather hostile enviornment between the staff and the LN author can be best seen in the episode where Kirino gets an anime and one of the final interviews where they practically end up in a fight.
>>120238223 All this ultimately created a mess with the fanbase. The already large and growing Kuroneko fanbase, who had bargained themselves an entire volume with her as the focus, got another growth spurt with the anime thanks to their biased portrayal of the character (Get a summary of Volume 3 vs Anime Equivalent for some laughs). That, in turn, has been rumored to have caused many changes to the LN after volume 6 (Kirino getting a fake boyfriend). This is more or less when the publisher noticed that the rivalry between the Kirino and Kuroneko fanbase was good for business/merchandise sales and fueled it through a variety of methods.
Starting with volume 8, the author starts pushing girls like Ayase, Kanako and Manami a lot more as harem prospects. This action was perfect for the publisher and author as it created more waifu bait while diminishing Kuroneko's prominence. By volume 10-11 though, he succesfully used the screen time alloted to them to not only to advance the OTP, but also to make every losing harem prospect look terrible0. Best example of this is volume 11 with Kuroneko/Ayase blackmailing Kirino, Kanako generally not giving a damn about anyone and Manami being Manami. And then you have the final volume, where he wrecks every single girl and puts them to tears.
So, was it out of spite to his own fanbase? Or was it just an attack on the anime producer/director with the other fans being collateral damage? I actually don't know.
As you can already guess, the anime staff wasn't too happy about the ending. What's worse is that the author specifically asked for episode where Kuroneko gets wrecked to be done well. And that's we're we go back to the interview where they fight. In it, it's obvious that the staff knew the author's intentions well but still took the liberty to change things around.
And that's how we got the shit ending. Thank the Kuronekofags.
>>120238507 You would just conclude that it's a poorly written anime. And you'd be right. The anime was an advertisement for the source material at best, and at worst it was a shitfest of pandering for the sake of money. For example, the author wanted to cut Ayase almost entirely from S2 to make room for the main plot with the siblings, but the director and producers wanted to keep her, obviously to sell merchandise and get her more fans, which creates more sales and publicity. They even decided to make a filler episode revolving around her that wasn't in the LNs despite already being short on episodes to adapt the source material. They were not interested in adapting, they were interested in fanbase drama. The interviews speak for themselves.
>>120238409 There will always be people that just finished the anime no matter which series and you have to "deal" with them first before you can properly discuss things. Though we've already discussed pretty much every aspect there is to Oreimo multiple times.
>>120238750 >we've already discussed pretty much every aspect there is to Oreimo multiple times.
And somehow it never gets old. Probably because it's never about clashing opinions considering how far along we are that everyone understands what happened and what's correct. We've reached a sort of singularity of opinions where everything has become clear.
Now you've done it. You've summoned them. You jinxed it and now we'll be doing this for hours.
>People got misled. >The incest is more pronounced in the LN. >Characters/Events/Tone was changed >Anime staff vs LN Author happened >Neko got volume 5 thanks to a poll >Neko got a huge boost from the anime >More harem shit started at that point >Author gives focus to neko when he always said that she was never meant to win then takes it away and pushes other girls into the mix >Publisher was fueling the fires of war online and such >Author makes the other girls look bad
I mean I can go on. That's not even including the little things like Kuroneko getting the worst rejection, getting more rejections, getting to hear all about the details of Kyousuke and Kirino's love live without wanting to (maybe?). And there's also the fact that the author didn't even want to write her VN route and was forced to and even then he wrote it to be based on another if route and only half the lenght..
>>120238223 >>120238267 >some kirinofags might actually believe this fanfiction tinfoil hattery aside the anime people were just trying to fix shitty broken source material that panders to incestuous scum manami was right
>>120238874 It just doesnt appear that way in the animated series. It just seems to me like the short lived desires of a teen. I had those too. I was semi involved with my cousin when I was young, we made out and did some stuff, but as we got older, we drifted apart.
Lots of people experiment and go through strange emotions growing up.
Kyosuke just seemed equally interested in Kuroneko too, and accepted her offer to go out. If he was REALLY in permanent love with her, he wouldnt have accepted becoming boyfriend and girlfriend.
>>120239041 Why? Manami did nothing wrong, you know. If everything had gone according to plan, she would have slowly crept into his heart, and then one day she could have pounced on him, been his first, then kept him forever.
She kinda won. She at least was dating the MC. Most girls in anime can't even say that. I'm not talking about forced dates. The MC legitimately cared for her and dated her as a boyfriend.
She kinda put her self in the losers field though. I'm not sure if I interpreted her pictures correctly, but it seemed like she wanted her self, her friend, and her lover all together forever. Even if it meant losing a lover.
>>120239724 I know it sounds evil, but having had two sisters, and my best friend growing up being a girl? I saw worse, so maybe I'm biased, but it sounds like something normal there.
All she did was a long term manipulation plan to try to get the boy she liked and ward off the other girls.
To be fair, being smart and cunning was all she had. Kirino was very attractive and cute, and Kyosuke didnt seem to have a built in "incest-is-wrong" radar, so she was just playing the cards she could play.
I feel kinda bad because she probably never had a real chance.
She'd actually be quite a catch if she let her hair grow a little longer and change the glasses.
>>120239930 It's not even that. I've spent enough time in these threads to be able to pick everyone out of a lineup, including you. His tactics never change so he's extremely easy to spot. I'm actually just laughing because of how funny it is that it's been over a year and he hasn't given up. Guess things really do never change.
>>120239992 If you consider manipulating everyone around you, lying to them and using them for your selfish goals "playing the cards" then yes, she did nothing wrong. She's also a bit chubby, incredibly plain looking and she has the personality of a grandma.
>>120240124 >500 years from now >we'll have been enslaved by aliens and assimilated into their highly evolved culture, as walking incubators for their half-human half-alien babies >we won't even speak english or even with our mouths at this point in our biological evolution >Kuronekofags will still be mad about the ending >they'll make threads about it on 9̨̢̀8̨̛̕1́̕̕2̛̀͘6̢̨̀͏7̶̸́͟6̨͠͏̢̛c̛͘h̨̀͠͏a̶̛̛ń̷ with their mind controlled keyboards and hover mice >Kirinofags will still remind them that it was always about the siblings m̷̴̨̥̦͉̝̘͙̺̘̺̩͉͎̟̘͓̼̳͊̈̽ͣ̂̿̄͆̎́̊̏ͣ̅ͯ̍̚ų̵͈̥̖̹̲͚̖͈͎͓̪̓͗ͣͮ̓ͫ͊͑̀̂̽ͭ͗ͤͪ͘h̷̴̵̨̛͚̪͉̯̬͉ͪ̐̔͐̉̿̊̒ͤͫ̚ ̷̨̯̗̯̰͖͚̬̖͍̥̹̬ͪͩ͐ͧ͂n̶͙̯̮̞̲̪̱̱͉̭̤̲̘͎͎̠̮͚̈́̊͌͊͒͗͒̚͟͟ę̵̛̞̗̗̝̤̥̪̫̱͎̭̲̙̭̳͙̓ͦ͒ͬ̓̓̍ͦ̍͒͟͞k̵̎̋̈̅ͨ͞҉̠̣̙̺̻̭̘͓̯̫͎̻o̽̊̅̐͢҉̝̺̠̠̱͘
>>120240322 Kind of, Kyousuke mentions it a couple of times, Kirino once and I think I remember Manami being embarrassed because of it a few times as well (there's also the scene where Kyousuke says that she tends to gain weight in autumn/winter).
I don't think she'd care if she walked in on Ayase getting plowed by her boyfriend. She brushed it off pretty quickly when she walked in on Ayase and Ruri. Kirino's fucking her brother so she can't really judge.
>>120236205 Silver and Bronze were born to lose to Gold. They are mere reminders of Kirino to Kyousuke. Ultimately, they are tools to the end of realizing a perfect love in the greatest love story ever told.
>>120249112 When the fanbase gets so full of themselves they think they actually know the single best imouto in 2D, not just anime and manga? No.
I wouldn't civilly take bullshit like anyone who only saw YnS claiming Sora is best imouto either and she's high tier. No one has a right to decide who best imouto is unless they've witnessed unparalleled perfection or seen all the other possible romantic choices.
>>120250184 you are losing your shit over the inernet, trying to shun an anonymous poster who you have no power over and constantly replying to not even proper bait attempts, and thinking attacking the way someone who'l likely not a native english speaker writes is a proper argument
