How strong is this guy?
Could be one of the top 5 Nen users, and by could be I mean that I remember seeing an anon say that one time with no source to back it up.
Realistically, he's probably as strong as Morel, Nenwise. Physically... well who knows, we have a muscle rider loli.
How strong is this guy? Seems like he could have easily killed all of Gon's team just by throwing a ball
If he fought Hisoka with both at their maximum Power Razor would win.
Don`t forget he was maintaining all of the islands emission system while still being able to split up his power even more into nen dolls. And then make crazy strong nen balls.
>"The minute you start talking about who can win in a Nen fight, you're wrong. In most cases, you won't know your opponent's abilities. You can't make assumptions based on the amount of aura displayed. The battle can turn at any point. That's what fighting with Nen means. "
Also island emission system? What?
Hisoka is more experiment and it doesn't matter how strong razor ball is if they can't hit you
>Also island emission system? What?
See pic related.
>she wanted gon and killua to grow and gain experience
>she doesn't like her true form, i don't is possible for her to beat them on her small form
Anyways if things get ugly i am sure she would just wipe them out
Hisoka isn't that strong anyway, he usually wins by outsmarting his opponent, his gum wasn't capable of reliably blocking Gotoh coins, and he wouldn't be fast enough to dodge them without something to latch on with his gum, plus that forest provided the needed cover for him to mount a trap for Gotoh, if they were fighting on a open space with no hiding spots or trees for Hisoka to use his gum for movement, he would have had a very hard time.
It was always a mystery to me why Greed Island could contain such strong items such as Breath of Archangel, then I realized they could be that strong because of the strict limitation for how to acquire any items and bring them beyond the game. Nen just makes sense.
Can this be safely posted on a christian image board?
but he does anon. He even has her doll
Ging and Hisoka probably have some backstory you don't know about yet. Ging kind of planned for Gon to come after him, so he probably set up Hisoka to enter the exams and watch after him, threaten him a bit, and whatnot.
>Ging and Hisoka probably have some backstory you don't know about yet.
I don't think so, Hisoka said "¿Is someone called Ging here?" instead of "¿Is Ging here?" that means that even he doesn't know who Ging is and maybe his appearance.
Yeah, the contract/condition system is what makes it truly special to me. I think the categories can be a bit blurry though, especially the line between Conjuration/Manipulation/Emission which is not yet completely clear to me. And Specialization feels like a cop-out in many cases, or just unnecessary. For example, both Neon's and Neferpitou's powers could easily be explained just as Conjuration/Manipulation yet both are classified as a Specialists.
If you removed all the complicated explanation about the different types of nen or just said that everyone was a specialist, nothing about the series really changes. Nen is complicated really just for the sake of being complicated.
You completely create a specific something out of your Nen. What is created can be seen even by those that cannot use Nen, as it's no longer MADE of your Nen. For example, you could create of gun.
You use your Nen to manipulate something that already exists, like if you shot a gun, you could use Manipulation to redirect the bullets in mid-air
You send out parts of your Nen. If you had a gun, you could shoot "Nen bullets"
Neon's fortune telling, the power of predicting the future to a fairly accurate degree, is pure specialization. The goblin thing that writes it for her is technically emitted since regular people don't see it.
Pitou did water divination so there's no point in arguing. What she chose to do with her nen is her business, but at least Terpsichora seems to employ multiple nen types so as another anon once said, it's specialization in the same vein as Emperor Time.
I think specialist just means that you can make an ability of any type with the 100% efficiency and likely add a side branch to augment it at 100% efficiency as long as you have some good drawbacks. Kuraps chains were conjured and manipulaters, as was Pitous blyth.
The one I'm confused about is emitter vs transmuter.
Sounds like emitters are pretty shit, they just throw energy blasts around while a transmuter could throw fireballs or ice or lightning, in gons case he makes his nen into a blade, and his emitter is just a kamehameha
Chain Jail isn't Specialist type
Emperor Time is Specialist type
Taken from the wiki:
" When Kurapika's eyes shift into scarlet, he changes from a Conjurer to a Specialist. This ability allows him to utilize all the types of Nen to 100% efficiency (for a Conjurer). In the manga, Kurapika explains this using the terms "Level" and "Force/Accuracy": his "Levels" in the various Nen categories remain the same during Emperor Time, however, his Force and Accuracy for every category is raised to 100%. Thus, if Kurapika's Level in Conjuration were 10, his Level in Emission (the polar opposite aura type) would be 4, and during Emperor Time, he would be evenly matched against a Level 4 Emitter at 100%. Outside of Emperor Time, his Force and Accuracy in Emission would at most be only be 40%. "
>transmuter could throw fireballs or ice or lightning
>transmuter could throw
nope, couldn't throw it without using emission
>in gons case he makes his nen into a blade
this is transmutation, but very tame usage of it
>and his emitter is just a kamehameha
it's also extremely weak compared to Jajanken
Oh, I'm not arguing the canon. I'm just saying that Pitou's nen powers all seem like a combination of Conjuration+Manipulation to me, whether it's Dr Blythe, Terpsichora or that puppet thing she controlled Kite with.
As for Neon, she conjures the angel which in turn has a strong power, just like Kite conjures his Crazy Slot. Though I suppose there is no manipulation involved, so that's a misnomer by me. I remember there was some point made about Conjured items not being able to exceed the abilities of a human, but I'm not really sure what that's supposed to mean.
>I remember there was some point made about Conjured items not being able to exceed the abilities of a human, but I'm not really sure what that's supposed to mean.
You couldn't conjure a sword that "cuts anything" for example
It can't be an "impossible" thing. You can only conjure things that could be made by human hands
Gon's transmutation paper-attack doesn't make his nen separate from his main nen field, he's just stretching it out and giving it the property of "sharpness" or something. If you wanted to emit fireballs you would need both emission and transmutation.
Killua's lightning bolts and stuff is pure transmutation, because the lightning aura he damages his enemies with is likewise just stretched in the form of lightning, and still has contact with his main aura field.
I think the point is that she was able to create a vastly powerful manipulating conjuration, so they would both be at 100% efficiency, also controlling hundreds of conjured puppeteers and having them manipulate the soldiers. She also has massive enhancement abilities in her legs.
Fair enough, I guess the point is that some of the specs can be good stand alone while some need a boost. An emitter would need to transmute his aura into something worth emitting, tho i suppose razors balls are good enough in their own right
Too busy masturbating to the two shotas she polished into gems, Hisoka, and her extensive magazine collection.
Dr. Blythe is merely conjured into existence, every other attribute it has seems like specialization. Cannot move from its position in space, perfect/automated surgical abilities, self-improvement over time. This one definitely leans more to Specialization.
Nothing to do with human hands and I dont know why that was said. The guy training kurap just said you couldnt conjure something beyond comprehension, which makes sense when you have to use your imagination to conjure the thing in the first place.
So Togashi has definitely named some major players for the boat + Dark Continent arcs. Who else do you think is going to join the fun? Will Gon and Killua return? Any surprise bodyguards for the princes?
Yes, but I doubt he was one of the stronger ones. Zazan was probably a lot stronger and still got her shit wrecked, albeit by Feitan who seems to be at least top 3 in combat ability among the Troupe.
They might have considered it. I think using the 'Poor Man's Rose' bomb required a unanimous decision from the V5 or some assembled authority across nations. They also had to consider the safety of the citizens since the nature of the rose meant ecological devastation even for those who weren't caught in the blast. The 'rose' is really a last resort for if the strongest fighter in the world they had entrusted with the task of getting rid of Meruem.
I mean if you set it up so you can only target one/two people with the cards until you win and that apart from moving any action you take towards the person you're dueling has to be with the cards and also have it so you can only have a set amount for one duel like a deck. Those restrictions should allow you to create some godlike cards
I think we will see a lot of the earlier seen hunters return in the different divisions(Science/Defence/Intelligence) seeing as it's going to be a huge undertaking by the association. So more specifically the previous examiners will probably be featured, though I don't think they will play a big role.
I don't think the Phantom Troupe will be involved, it seems more likely they will come into play in a future Meteor City arc.
Perhaps one of the princes will hire a Zoldyck? They should have the funds.
>I don't think the Phantom Troupe will be involved
Togashi can throw in unexpected events rather well. After getting a restored Chrollo back, the Troupe might decide to go to DC with something they want to steal in mind. There precious resources at stake so it wouldn't be too farfetched a thing.
No reason to pretend that he doesn't know about Ging if he's going to see him anyway.
Exactly, no reason. Nigga, what part of this is french to you?
They had en entire conversation about the fact that Hisoka will lie for absolutely no reason. He just feels like lying sometimes.
Well that was a surprise.
The results were partly affected by my bias for certain characters
This was so hard. So many good characters.
wow i am such a memer, who would actually like leorio right
Not my fault there's barely any good female characters in HxH
I didn't realize I gave the CA characters so much more weight. I really thought the spiders would be higher...
They didn't give a shit about NGL.
IIRC, Transmuters need to be very familiar with the substance or thing they want to transform their aura into. Killua's resistance to electricity stems from the fact that the guy was shocked as training, he mentions that he is also getting shocked when using God Speed.
And Aura surrounds the user. If you want to "throw fireballs" you'd have to set yourself on fire to do so. And you would have to be pretty familiar with the sensation of being burned.
You know I think there are a lot of discrepancies in just how Nen works, but I don't give a fuck. As long as we continue seeing some badass shit like the 100-Type Bodhisvatta.
I don't know why Uvo and Phinks are before Knuckle but okay.
>tfw your ranks are literally just based on who you find the cutest
Oh well, there are just too many cute boys in this series
Chrollo with his hair down is perfect but they're really close
>Loving, attentive oniisan
>Did absolutely nothing wrong
Illumi is far superior.
>pariston number one
>ging being in top 3
>Hisoka topping Gon
>having Jew girl in top 3
>Cheadle dead last
Holy shit what is wrong with you?
Decent taste except for Komugi being so high.
Literally gay again, at least you have Netero
>Meurem that low
Get some taste nigga.
Actually the most decent but you get points deducted for having Pitou under literal nobodies.
