So what's stopping Korea and China from making their own anime and manga to one up Japan just like what they've been doing on the Tech and Music departments?
There are Korean and Chinese animation & comic industries, but it might the case that they don't feel expanding would be as profitable, as they don't have the preexisting cartoon and comic culture to support it.
