Put your DEENy things aside and worship our
So that is where the (extremely limited) budget has gone.
you are not looking hard enough then
Next episode will be the last of this arc.
Then the volume 10 stuff will start... we only have like first 2 episodes worth of web novel for it. Coming Monday we will have another chapter.
At this rate, the anime and volume 10 webnovel will end around the same time.
Then we got nothing. We'll have to wait till volume 11-15 is written until we get another season.
I don't speak moon.
Google, on the other hand:
>Episode 21, "Hibari our flapping"
>Episode 22, "Gentiles"
>Episode 23, "Isaac and Iserusu"
>Episode 24, "sleep of the ordinary moth (Chang'e)"
>(n) foreigner; stranger; gentile; goy; non-Jew
No wonder it's shit. I could put up with any of the other bullshit the race has, but garbage aesthetics is not one of them. Does this mean Nazuna's tail is like that too? Good thing she's smart enough to ever take it out.
this episode became even darker.
Yes, her tail is like that. So are the tails for the male ones, when you see them (Hien from Crescent Moon is a male Foxtail).
Foxtail race mechanic is far worse than aesthetic, though. Fuck that "randomly lose a skill, randomly gain a skill" shit.
>Overskill -- the 43rd song, a powerful song magic that causes the rubble around them to defend everyone in the vicinity.
>There's not even pebbles defending anyone at anytime during this episode
It's like they spent the remaining 30% of S2's budget on the Nyanta fight and just said fuck it to everything else.
He's also trying not to kill her at that point. In Vanilla WoW if a level 60 (max level back then) didn't do jack shit for awhile a level 40 would still have a chance at killing them unless they were decked to hell and back and a tank class.
If she was, she would have done that instead of actually going battle crazy and fighting Nyanta. I'm sure she xp potted like hell, but it doesn't fit her personality to not do it herself.
She was probably a relatively high baseline level for an NPC before the Apocalypse. Sort of like how town guards are higher level naturally than the average NPC in most MMOs.
Bitch is crazy
I love it
I liked the parts of the Akatsuki arc where she wasn't a whiny baby. The raid wasn't bad either if you ignore that one episode that was wasted with Willliams speech.
Character development means nothing if it's poor, let alone when done with boring characters.
And then even if you get those two things down, there's the execution of it in it's entirety. Suffice to say S2 did not adhere to the S1 formula and fell flat.
Not him but no one's denying that at all. Everyone's just pointing out how it took too long due to the reaction faces and shit.
It's not worth condensing a single volume into one episode just so you can spend more time looking at people with static expressions with the camera scrolling across every other sentence William made.
What poor development? There's a lot more anime that has even worse character development but still got praised like that shit in Madoka and Evangelion. The kids aren't even boring.
>Wow I learned that roads twist and turn because there's shit preventing it from going in a straight line
>I used to be a kid living in Tokyo you know? Never saw a curved road in muh life
>Kuden? You just gotta ummm hold on lemme try to talk like dem martial art geezers meditating at a waterfall
And don't even act like most of the pretentious talk in S2 isn't overbearing or hamfisted. It makes S1's speeches look sparse.
I would have included this part too but the pause is too long and my video editing skills are nonexistent. Hopefully someone does a better job.
Wow, you took the road twist thing literally? That's just sad.
I don't even get the last part. Waterfall? Also, as I said there's a lot more anime that did character development even worse and some of them didn't even do any but still got praised.
I guess DEEN just blew their whole budget on this episode.
What's the deal with this summon? Is it really a luquenja or w/e they're called that destroyed the world?
>Wow, you took the road twist thing literally? That's just sad.
And just how were you supposed to interpret it pretentiousfag? You're talking about a kid who's been blunt with every damn sentence he's made in 2 seasons including the ones he gave Nureha. He's not Shiroe.
And why the fuck do you keep using other anime and some vague consensus as defense? You gonna fucking tell me MAL opinions matter now? How hivemind can you get?
Why do we dislike Nureha? She seems pretty chilled to me.
Yeah I know shes damaged goods and everything, but no one is forcing you to sleep with her. I think she would be fun to have in a party to go on adventure shenanigans, plus she will be loyal.
>not realizing this is subtly hinting at Nyanta having more oxygen than Kazuhiko due to not folding his blood
Nyanta was taking a beating for a reason you know? He couldn't let no Gundam steal his overskill and get away with it.
Who the strongest PvP player right now? Kazuhiko or Cowabunga? Shiroe doesn't count cause his shit isn't readily available to fuck someone over.
It seems all the assassins are taking over the ladder.
I gotta admit this was a really good episode. New villains got some action, old villains got character development, the fights were exciting and emotional, and it touched on a lot of the overarching themes of the series.
Seems like akatsuki's overskill+obnoxious sword is the strongest shit around atm.
Assassin was the most popular class in ET. Guess it makes sense there's a good number of strong ones.
She may have wings, but she's an undead.
That's one of the six Alven princess.
You know, that ones that cursed the world for being slaughtered and raped, and summoned demi-human monsters to the world?
And they are also seen in the Round Table room. Those statues on the walls.
>First time he dies, Akatsuki rips one of his arms off, then Shiroe slits his throat with a knife
>Second time he dies, he is fed to the grinder and turned into mince meat
Jesus, does Mamare have something against this dude? He keeps getting killed in the most horrific way compared to everyone else in the book.
In the novel, the text mentions how she looks nothing like a sword princess Minori knows, wielding a harp.
Al-Quenje is the second of the six princess.
It appears Alven princess can be summoned somehow as a hax Sword Princess. Don't ask logic. No one can answer how or why at this moment.
I can only guess Roe2, being a traveler, has some insane tricks up her sleeves for REASONS. Cuz alien.
So it's not even Roe2's overskill? And that the Alven Princess wasn't even meant to be the summoned Sword Princess? That puts things in perspective.
Too bad the anime doesn't do this at all and gives a completely different impression.
Budget well spent, I was like 'see, they can animate when they want to'
That was a fun part. Argubly the best part in 5 or so Log Episodes.
>Nakata's Alucard voice with nyan
If Kazuhiko doesn't have an overskill, Leonardo hands down.
But I highly doubt Kazu, assassin of Tea Party and one of the strongest player in Yamato server, doesn't have his own overskill.
Unless we know what his overskill is, it's hard to say.
Name a "muh music" character that isn't the cringest one to watch.
You can't. Damn why do they always have be so melodramatic, remind me of those "shitty scenecore band saved my life" type of people.
>wait 2 weeks for Nyanta fight
>he wants to resolve it peacefully
No, she meant to summon her as sword princess.
It's just that we don't know how she managed to get an Alven princess as a Sword Princess summon. I mean that's way beyond broken.
But then again, aliens.
Only scary thought is.. if Roe2 can do this, there's nothing stopping Genius from obtaining similarly broken powers.
As for whether or not that's an overskill... the Genius we saw in China had bugged out weird powers too, and no information on whether or not those are considered Overskill.
We just don't know enough about Travelers to know whether these absurd powers are overskills or something entirely different yet.
What are Landpeople in that train trying to achieve again?
Did Swashbuckler's really fight like that in the old days? Sword behind back?/spoiler]
I'm sorry, figured I saw a face in the train.
21: Flutter of Skylarks
22: Alien visitors
23: Issac and Icelus
24: Jouga's sleep
Jouga is Japanese pronounciation of 常蛾, a Chinese legend of a woman who flew to the moon
Obviously since the current novel storyline is talking about going to the moon, the episode is about that.
>lvl 68 cunt having a chance while fighting a lvl 92 with raid gear
>Scrubs being annoying as fuck with their music and 'No I can't accept that you don't like it in this world!'-shit
Start a war with Eastal.
Slaughtering the wyverns and local landers would be tons of exp for the soldiers.
Not to mention cause tension between Westlande and Eastal.
In short, that woman is really fucking crazy.
well anon, not accepting the fact that you now live in ET is like not accepting that you'll eventually start living on your own at some point in your life. At some point, your family will die and you'll start an independent life of your own.
Holy shit that was fun, I wasn't sure if Nyanta was going to crack and actually go for the kill
Then the 5 trillion folded blade guy shown up, and even grabbed his rapier(black blood? really?)
We have always been at war with Eastal.
Nyanta does note how strong she is for being lower level.
I have a feeling that you know, gamers relying on "character stats" compared to someone who lived in a medieval world training her sword skills all her life isn't quite comparable. It's not so hard to imagine the latter could use their stats to full extent, polished with their lifetime of skill.
A seasoned marksman with a .22 is far more lethal than some random teenager who's never held a gun in his life, with a magnum.
>implying krusty won't show up at max level cap to save the day
>Krusty wants a war
>Gets beamed the fuck out
>He's not here
He will likely show up at max level but corrupted by some Genius scheme to wreck shit upon adventurers. And even though he regains half of his consciousness he will choose to stay evil for a while because "it's more fun". Calling it.
So Kazukiho is the only normal guy there?
The novel notes (and was mentioned briefly by Nyanta in this episode) that all the stress and pressure is nudging him towards the dark side too.
It is possible that a Genius is pulling the strings behind the dreary dark atmosphere lingering in PH.
I mean hell, we even have Re=Gun's master who was supposed to be DEAD among them. Something's not right with that crowd.
There was something about Krusty, Valhalla and the Princess symbolizing a Valkyrie but I forgot the details.
But yes, he's going to turn evil and it's the Princess who is going to save him at the end.
KR is "worshiper of Chaos".
He wants confusion and chaos, and can't wait to see Kanami come into the mess and wreck shit up.
Dude isn't a bad guy, but he is far from normal or sane.
Krusty's armor is the Einherjar armor and NEETHime wears the Valkyrie armor. In Norse mythology, Valkyries are the ones who choose and control the Einherjars. Add the fact the flavor text becomes real, NEEThime might as well summon Krusty. Also, Valkyrie Chronicles has taught me something, before the Valkyrie can turn you into an Einherjar, you must be dead.
Re Gun is that crazy student of magic that keeps blushing at Shiroe's secrets. The one that taught Shiroe of the world's history, how souls work, and tagged along with Shiroe and Nao to Susukino early on this season.
His teacher, Jerrod Re Gun is the previous "Sage of Miral Lake" and supposedly died a few years back. But as we can see, he's alive(?) and member of the PH10. He's that creepy mad scientist geezer.
So wait, what's an overskill? Is it like the "teaching" or is that something else? Right now everyone is popping these overskills left and right, and I have no fucking idea what's going on.
Oh, cause the show calls him Regan. And when that one guy used Re=Gun I automatically assumed it was a player name due to the =.
Alrighty, this makes a shit load more sense now.
"teaching" is Crunchyroll translation.
English word for Kuden is called "overskill" in the official novel.
CR translators doesn't ever bother reading the novel or even referencing it.
No, not really.
Chainswords make sense as they are just combat chainsaws.
Why the fuck would you put a chainsaw on an axe, out of all fucking things? An axe, which uses weight and force to hack through stuff with the sheer force of the blade, and instead put a spinning chainsaw thingy on it?
I sure hope we get two more episodes of bitching about "MUH SONG FEELINGS!" And if we could skip over all the fighting with slow pans of still shots that would be great too. And make the characters that the arc is about be the least interesting ones. And more pointless speeches during fights as well.
So teachings are overskills, alright. But how the fuck does everyone have one now, even scrubs have one. I thought those were something one can only "obtain" after shit goes down and stuff. And aren't they passives?
>No, not really
Yes, yes really, you have not read enough if you claim otherwise.
the function is similar to chainswords, they both hit something, and grind down into it. Axes are symbolically seen as more savage and personal weaponry than swords. fitting for servants of Khorne.
You think those things can actually cut through more thicker things without it being chained? Quite a few of them aren't even powered, like a powersword.
There's no real definition of an overskill.
Generally the system will recognize it as a new skill and name it, but otherwise the distinction between overskill and "just something I thought up" is not clear.
Overskill doesn't really require training to come up with, but it requires training to hone it into a skill. If that makes sense. Anyone can obtain it, level doesn't matter, as long as you can dedicate yourself into making it like your second-nature.
If we could get more of the first part of the episode where people getting dueled the fuck out on a train, that'd be good.
Scrubs arc is the worst arc of Log Horizon. Light novel or Anime.
>I thought those were something one can only "obtain" after shit goes down and stuff.
Nope, you can obtain them by trying to exploit the world's mechanics or a skill's characteristics or simply by coming/creating something new that does not exist when ET was still a game. Not everyone has it and only a few. Although, most of the cooks have an Overskill.
>And aren't they passives?
Sometimes passives, actives, items, attributes, etc.
From what I understand, overskills are exploiting game mechanics in previously unattainable ways because you can actually move around and act like it is the real world. This is seen with parallel plot, compression combo, the contract, ect ect.
Overskill is a unique ability you create yourself.
It's like the whole cooking thing in the beginning. You can use the standard 'game' spells, and they get the job done but they taste like nothing. Or you can create something from scratch and make something better.
>suspension of disbelief in warhammer 40k
Pretty much everyone and their mother should have one or two overskills by now since every class has overskills that aren't anything too special. Fuck mysticism, this requires scientific approach.
Let's take Nazuna for example.
Her "overskill" is using weak shields as stepping plates to walk on air.
It required her to think out of box to come up with this.
However, it requires her to practice it to elevate it to a "skill". She can effortlessly summon one after another seamlessly to dash through the sky now.
Like, if you had a power to create ice, does that make you Iceman? No, to be Iceman, you gotta be able to effortlessly make that Icesled to walk on air with ease.
How the fuck do you pronounce this
Alright, I get it now, but a single question remains. Soujiro has an overskill that allows him to see where his enemies will hit. SO basically this guy just simply has fast reflexes and the world just decides that that's a new skill.
Not exactly. His skill does involve "seeing" where the enemy will strike, by sheer observation as a swordsman. But his Kuden/Overskill involves "guide parrying" the attack to avoid it completely.
It's a martial arts concept, of just gently "nudging" an incoming attack to stray from its target. Soujirou is obviously adept in real sword fighting, and doesn't rely on "video game mechanic".
He also has a complete hax sword spirit summon that's not overskill, but might as well be just as powerful.
>He also has a complete hax sword spirit summon that's not overskill, but might as well be just as powerful.
Sure didn't seem that way when Santa Claus came to town on his ass.
You could have had ten Soujirou and ten Krusty and they still would have lost to Satan Santa if they fought straight on and didn't use tactics.
That guy was practically invincible at that point.
Just like with the rouge lander arc the girl with the annoying problem brings all the awesome down. Izusu was just as annoying as Akatsuki was in that arc. I really hope another female isn't the focus next arc because the author obviously can't write them an in interesting way.
Wait a fucking second... So Shiroe and Roe2 will never meet face to face?
I wanted them to fugg... I mean who wouldn't fug r63 of himself?
Following the trend of the scrub arcs, it might as well either be a Tohya arc or a Rudy arc in the next scrub arc. They haven't even mentioned a single thing about how Rudy is a son of a noble.
KR probably joined up with Minami and Inctis just because he knows Kanami is coming and is planning on trolling the fuck out of Inctis about it.
I mean, seriously. Look at his face. He can't wait to see the fireworks.
>Roe will never give you a hug and say its gonna be allright while stroking your hair
Shiroe created Roe2 as an alt, but no, they've never "met" after the Catastrophe.
Roe2 was nicknamed Ero-ko by KR (and used by Nao and other Tea Party members), both pun on "roe" and the fact Shiroe made her with humongous boobs.
"Plant' is child in Welsh.
Plant Hwyaden means "Duck Children". Ducklings.
It comes from the fact Nureha sees her real self as ugly, so her "children" are ducklings.
You know, the tale of "Ugly Duckling".
Nazuna's overskill is pretty impressive, despite how "limited" it might be. She took what is a damage prevention spell, looked at it, and wondered what would happen if she tried using it as a stepping stone by turning a brief one or two second visual effect sideways. She's doing something that physics decrees is impossible, primarily because it's not a stepping stone, it's a damage-blocking spell. There's nothing there for her to walk on. Except she does it anyway.
Think of Souji's as Observation Haki, Jedi Precognition, Super-speed reflexes and real-life training with a sword, except they're all rolled up into one. He doesn't even need to be awake for it to work.
Not a player. It'll be explained.
The players from the real world aren't the only ones who were sucked into ET. An alien. Why else do you think she was on the moon to start with, and why she's using Roe2, which was a test server (i.e. moon) character of Shiroe's?
So she basically told them to fuck off and stayed with Log Horizon because she likes them better? I can see why, There are some crazy as shit people in her guild and it doesn't look too friendly either.
Best thing about her is that hair, so fluffy.
It was fine. In fact, it was "perfect" in context, because the whole point is Isuzu really isn't THAT great a musician, she just has The Heart.
>all them player death bubbles rising up at the end
>Preventing XP-loss doesn't mean anything for landers
but anon it does, if her 43rd song can do that, then dead landers can be revived without having to worry about a time limit
>mole right underneath the eye
why is this so powerful
Yeah, one thing is healthy but she looks like a whale, Deen's fault I believe.
>not liking all that warmth
imagine when she's on top anon. her hair is covering your vision, and her entire body is laying ontop, and she's
kissing you non-stop, while her magnanimous breasts envelop your upperbody. her saliva intoxicates your mind, making you lust for more.
she's the good fat. thick. look at her legs>>121574970
I'm rewatching S1 ep 14 and I don't think it works like that.
Anima dispersion is a natural process that happens when something dies, similarly to decomposition; when a person is resurrected, a small portion of this Anima is lost, which results in exp loss. If a body is not resurrected at this point, the Anima is completely dispersed into the air, if the one who died was an Adventurer, then the "Mind" gathers the Anima, or "Body" and assembles it on a Cathedral.
So, the dispersion of Anima and Anima (exp) loss due to resurrection are two different things, a song that prevents Exp-loss would only be of any use if the Lander is resurrected before the Anima completely disperses, because after this point, there's nothing that can gather the Anima back.
Or am I completely wrong?
>Miss can't-sing-for-shit Isuzu
>Overskill: The 43rd Song
>Description: A wide-range spell capable of covering an entire city. Causes the rubble within that range to move to defend anyone in the area.
>Causes the rubble within that range to move..
Please clarify. What rubble ?? some sortof rock golem summoning ??
Finally all this Isuzu drama thing has come to a stop, every episode it would eat up 5 minutes. And at the very least the final song wasn't Wonderful Wonder World.
Also, this goddamn direction, it sucks evey episode more, a quarter of every episode is made of reused scenes and useless digressions or repetitions of things already said, I'm sick of this pace.
How many episodes is this season supposed to have?
Also, could somebody summarise Nureha's backstory for me? I usually watch the episodes a few days late, so I don't really participate in the threads.
Damn this ep was hype.
The Yenpress version? Yea sure.
I hope Thouya heals her with his love. I don't even want her to win the Shiroebowl at this point, I just want someone to get her the fuck away from Inctis.
I really like this episode. I like the Nyanta at the beginning. I like Nureha at the middle. I like the kids at the end. I like how they actually develop the kids rather than making them into oneshot character that are only needed to be there because the plot demands it. Also, who did this week episode. Clearly DEEN cannot manage a feat like this episode.
Well at least Nyanta can actually understand and sympathize with how other people are upset at being in that world. Meanwhile kiddy time Horizon is just telling everyone they're wrong and not living their lives correctly according to their obviously true ideals.
We saw wyverns flying into buildings and shit getting destroyed. Even if it isn't draw you should understand the damn context of the fight is a city in ruin at this point. As in rubble everywhere.
so it was a dumb yelling a retard that the retard is a retard for not realizing that the dumb thinks the retard is a retard
I think Akatsuki is burst and Ranardo is sustained, i think in a PvP scenario burst is better, and it would be hard to hit her if you dont know wich one is the real one.
As for Kazu until we know his overskill he is just a high level assasin.
What id like to know is if you can copy someone's overskill, in a PnPRPG i play we have something similar but you can only have one and it cant be one someone already has or is too similar.
>get cucks by best accountant
>not going full threesome
Dat character development. Still about muh shiroe though.
Maybe he didn't like a certain DPS Mage player back during his MMO-playing days? Londark seems to be losing it though, I wonder if he'll keep losing more of his sanity every time we meet him.
>implying Serara looks 40lbs fatter in the source material
>not realizing the scrubs arc is the only time when Serara looks like the source material
>citing shit you don't even know
Fuck off nigger cat.
Better singing than last week episode for sure.
>mfw last week singing.
It's nice my pet theory that the ones who want to be deeply involved with the world are actually the insane ones. The "villians' in the show that wanna ruin the world are the closest to being sane. Although they had issues, they made a hasty decision and chose to join a world, and are now regretting it.
This is supported by how all the main characters seem to have deep pressing issues in the other world. Tohya is a vegetable, the Bard was maybe suicidal? (not really clear), and Akatsuki and Shiroe are recluses. Also does it bother anyone else that Nyanta CHOSE to stay as a Cat being when no one else has?
Well, they got chance to remake themselves, why not embrace it in a world where they are accepted like that. Im sure if time passes the previous world mentality will returns to the general public/adventurers.
>doesn't know that Serara prefers bulky cloths that hide her figure
>doesn't know getting fatter is from source material
uh oh, time for you to damage control
>Also does it bother anyone else that Nyanta CHOSE to stay as a Cat being when no one else has?
Huh... we've seen plenty of Werecats in the background and such in Akiba. There was also one in the elf guy's guild, who even seemed to be voiced by Nyanta's VA too.
Appearance changing potion can't change their race, since it's not only a visual thing, so everyone is stuck like that.
I guess the whole mental change applies though, like gender change, so after a initial shock they likely weren't bothered by their bodies.
>implying bulky clothes somehow change facial structure
>implying the real food weight gain was stated to give her two more chins
Cite your fucking shit or get out whale chaser.
Even the people of the land get it, probably just super stat buff, they still gonna get killed though, maybe no memory loss? good memory when dying? Welp until next week or LN spoilers.
Anyone know what the lesbian is talking about with Roderick in this two pages?
92/93 if i remember correctly.
I like the odysee knights. They're just so happy to die.
She has a shit ton of issues and baggage that Inctis is aware of and she uses to exploit her weak mind. I think Inctis know everything about her past, from her childhood prostitution, her poverty and her obsession with Shiroe.
>Nyanta Train fight
>Abundant Nureha fluff
>Great city battle visuals
>Good Izuzu development
This episode was pretty great. Season 2 has dragged a bit at times, but they do land the important stuff by and large.
I wish the focus was more on the relevant Log Horizon guys and Plant Hwayden and less on the fucking scrubs. I don't know if the novels are the same but fuck, this season had too much scrub time.
Doesn't really work anon, the people causing chaos aren't bringing anyone closer to returning to the old world, so all they're doing is making everyone's current circumstances more miserable to temporarily sate their rage.
Also, this is the only world the landers have so for adventurers (obviously landers can be shits too) to destroy it is like some Huns shit for no purpose.
I think the problem is less focusing on the scubs per se and more just what was prioritized within their episodes. Their arc with the city battle, the odyssey knights, Roe2 and Nureha is really good, but for some reason we also got an entire episode of just packing for their road trip and discussing food.
A little comfortable filler is fine here and there, but you can't drag out entire episodes with no conflict, I didn't really mind the Akatsuki arc because she had an internal conflict but some of the scrub stuff has been really meandering, and I like the scrubs OK.
So Cool Cat would have killed that bitch if the samurai didn't stop him right?
I couldn't really tell if he was hesitating or if the man was genuinely intervening to stop him from killing her.
Nuaha's real world life fucking sucked and obviously it damaged her but she needs to get the fuck away from that elf chick she's far more damaged then Nuaha is for even dumber reasons.
You already lost.
Overskills are just things you can learn to do in the database, usually stemming from abilities you gain from the system. Like if the system gave you a skateboard and your overskill was doing a cool trick instead of just rolling around.
It stands to reason that if one person can do it another can learn to as well, assuming they have access to the same basic abilities. Real cooking for example.
In the case of an overskill like akatsuki's it seems like the system will stretch a bit to fill in the gaps based on some kind of spiral power-esque magic. I suspect that's why they say overskills can't be taught. Like maybe it's 75% trying hard and 25% innovation.
