Rebellion is a masterpiece.
I don't care if you like it or not, I'm just stating the fact.
The talent of Gen to make incredibly dramatic and sophisticated works is unarguably amazing. To work with Shaft or Type-Moon, Gen is doing it.
I thought it was a 9/10, definitely better than the series itself
I actually hate everything uroshitter has ever worked on except madokurino, he is a hack
Making one decent anime and a good movie doesn't redeem all the garbage he has put his name on
>still desperately forcing that crap
But he's right, you know. Homura's feelings are completely one-sided. Maybe Madoka cares about her as a friend, but certainly does not care for Homura to the extent that Homura cares for her.
I fucking HATE mumi because of her false confidence and wannabe-caring behavior. She's full of lies.
That scene when she freaked out and started a gunfire just nailed it. What a fucking bitch.
I hate traitorous scum like her.
>Rebellion literally ruined series.
That's completely wrong.
Why does Rebellion look so crap compared to normal anime movies.
Yeah, Mumi is a traitor who blows up her own damn to blame on innocent Sayakas.
Mami-san on the other hand is the great magical girl of justice who trained Madoka and Homura personally.
>instead of doing something good for once in her life she literally rapes Madoka, destroys hef wish for good, and enslaves everyone to suffer forever in a fake world
Homushitters are subhuman just like Homura.
Also this, but it can be redeemed by having Madoka kill Homura in a sequel. It's canon Madoka never even thought of her as a friend and resents her so it's fine. Homura should have never been born.
Didn't you watch the series and movies? Homura has a one-sided, evil, loveless obsession over Madoka's life. Madoka is clearly shown resenting her, especially once the brainwashing wears off in Rebellion. Homura means nothing to her. Urobuchi confirmed it in an interview shortly after the movie hit theaters.
I have watched the series and Rebellion. Should I also watch first two movies? Homura just loves Madoka, and Madoka is shown to care for her in other timelines where they know each other well since the beginning. I don't think Madoka even has mental capacity to resent someone.
Pity isn't caring. She tried to help her because she's altruistic and Homura wouldn't fuck off, but Madoka never considered her a friend. Calling her best friend was a lie to thank her for giving her the power to save everyone and to give her hope to stop being an evil cunt and become a better person by letting her go. Madoka didn't realize Homura lacked hope and love entirely and was pure evil.
>Madoka never considered her a friend
>Calling her best friend was a lie to thank her for giving her the power to save everyone and to give her hope to stop being an evil cunt and become a better person by letting her go
>Madoka didn't realize Homura lacked hope and love entirely and was pure evil
all this fanwank and baseless assumptions
are Homura haters actually this delusional?
>I don't think Madoka even has mental capacity to resent someone
It's too bad we don't really get any doujin that entertains this idea. I want some gloriously twisted Homura x Madoka.
Except this is what Urobuchi and Shinbo said Homura's relationship with Madoka was. There is no love or friendship between them in any way. Madoka's happiest moment will come from ending Homura's life.
again,
>Madoka's happiest moment will come from ending Homura's life.
now you are just making Madoka sound evil, which she isn't
but even if you were right, can be authors opinion considered canon even if he didn't explicitly state it in his work itself?
Saving the universe from pure evil, someone that ruined your life and you never loved, would make you happy. That isn't wrong.
When Urobuchi says no, Madoka doesn't love Homura in any way, you should believe him. Anything else is delusion.
What do you mean, where? It's in the translated interviews page around January 2014 if I recall, maybe November 2013. In there he also talks about Sayaka being the show's true hero and Madoka's real best friend.
Why must you spread lies about me? I thought everyone can be saved but looks like you're an exception. I will not give you the salvation you desire.
I would never dare hate Homura-chan. She has been with me since timeline 1. I can see all the great deeds she has done for me. The best part is, now I can be with her while remaining a LoC. Since you keep insisting I hate her than you are worthless.
I must do what I must to protect Homura-chan.
Homura-chan is in charge of the incubators. I can work something out and you may get your wish.
>Madoka has sacrificed
Madoka is a fucking useless cunt who did nothing, she's just a plot device to develop Homura's personality and character.
>instead of doing something good for once in her life
Homura did EVERYTHING good in her life and she's by far the most influential and useful member of Puella Magi squad who tried to be a team player but then realized how dumb and traitorous the others are and so she decided to act alone and rely only on herself.
Homura is a fucking hero. But yeah, you are right about "doing something good once in her life" for HERSELF. She has to dump that useless cunt Madoka and actually start caring about herself, not about the others.
Homura is ages above the other megucas. She basically transcends humanity.
You'd think people with fully functional brains would abandon ship when the movie makes their favourite character the ultimate villian, but then again, I am on /a/.
Homura-chan wouldn't like the way you're talking about me.
>yfw Urobuchi said the story for Madoka and Homura are "done"
>yfw evil Madoka will never exist
There's only one hope left.
I'm not akemi and not a part of daily circlejerk in Homu/PMMM threads and that only proves that there are more than just me who can actually handle understanding Homu's personality outside of shipping nonsense and cliches that are suitable for moeshit operators.
I'm not operating with cliches and crap like that.
That's a good thing, I'm pretty sure about it. Open minded people should understand Homu's personality pretty well.
Homura is not an "ultimate villain", she's not even evil, you dumbass.
She only took a piece of my power. Get your facts straight before spreading lies about me.
She is the one Madoka loves most and the two of them will kill Homura for good.
Nobody loves Homura, she ruined the universe and plots to kill everyone because she is evil. She has no character and never did anything but hurt those kind enough to pretend to care that she was ever born.
>homuscum roleplaying as an actual character to defend the scum of the universe, Homura
Why wouldn't I be. Homura-chan is my best friend along side Sayaka-chan. I'm sorry you can handle the truth. It's pretty patchetic that you are undermining my feelings and are only telling lies.
>Nobody loves Homura, she ruined the universe and plots to kill everyone because she is evil. She has no character and never did anything but hurt those kind enough to pretend to care that she was ever born.
Just because you mumble that bullshit since the release of the Rebellion movie, it doesn't make it even remotely right.
Now you gone and made me mess up the little english I know.
Madoka does not care about Homura nearly as much as Homura does about her.
Homura does everything she can and Madoka is basically "Oh wow but whatever I'm going to be god now later.
I will stop once you stop lying about me.
Should I copy-paste it here?
Just read the introduction.
>I thus offer the following two theses:
>1.) The success of the original Puella Magi Madoka Magica TV series can be explained primarily through its adherence to a number of vital principles (pacing, thematic consistency, understanding of its artistic pedigree, etc.) which, in concert, exhibit mastery over the storytelling craft. I propose that Rebellion does not achieve the same victory because it does not adhere to the principles that made the original series great.
>2.) I also propose that the cause for said lack of adherence is the by-product of what I will label, as inspired by Shinbou and for the lack of a better term, fan response. Rebellion, in its entirety, is colored by the creator’s reactions to how viewers perceived the original work. In-so-doing, it forgets or discards what helped generate those reactions to begin with. To put it another way, the phenomenon of Madoka Magica was so great that it cannibalized the potency of its own sequel.
tl;dr; Rebellion is pandering shit with awesome audio and visuals.
Threadly reminder that we'll always love Homura no matter how hard you try
just like Madoka
Hating and torturing pure evil isn't evil. Nor is only pretending to be the friend of scum if you hope they can change through you. Madoka was just sadly mistaken to let Homura live, Homura never did anything but hurt her and ruin her life, including killing her and raping her.
I dont know why this hasent come up yet, but after achieving her goddess form, Madoka clearly states to Homura that she sees all timelines from the past to the future. She sees everything Homura did, and conciders her to be her "very best friend" because of it. How can anyone seriously say and believe shes lying? We know Madoka dosent tell lies, its stated in the series.
Also its going a little far to say homura "shit all over" madokas changes to the universe. She kept everything the same, she only took the records of human madoka from the Law of Cycles while leaving the rest intact. The most I think anyone could call her would be selfish, and personally I wouldent even blame her for that. This whole threads just one big flame war though, then again what else could it be? Its not like we have anything new (madoka related) to talk about.
Of course Madoka lied. She didn't like Homura but didn't want to be mean to her. By telling her she was her friend when she wasn't, she thought Homura would move on and use the memory of her to become a good person. Madoka was just mistaken, and for that Homura will burn.
Homura destroyed Madoka's heaven and is letting the universe fall apart. That alone shits on Madoka. She is evil and loves doing evil things to others, and Madoka is finally done with her.
>I wish I never saved you.
That kind of thing.
Still putting words in my mouth. Homura-chan will always be my friend. I hate killing. I feel guilt from those times I had to kill Mami-san. Thanks to these past events, they can all live happy. So why must you insist on hating me?
