>you've been here for over 11 years
Alcoholism is the best friend I've ever picked up.
Some people liked it a lot, but I thought it lost the magic of the first season.
So its been 10 years since her reign began.
It was in my first 50 anime watched. Its been 7 years and I'm still listening to the soundtrack.
>S1 - Flame Hazes are very rare, and we fight alone! If two of us are in the same city, we fight each other to the death!
>S3: Flame Hazes are organized in an army! There are hundreds if not thousands of them and they work together all the time!
S3 was horrible
It was worth it just to see Yoshida get shit on in the first episode. Still, what the fuck was JC Staff thinking with S2?
Yoshida getting her just deserts was very satisfying. But Shana and Yuuji were separated and were enemies for most of the series. Their relationship and interaction with each other was the only real thing going for SnS and they went directly against that by separating them.
Because of that, S3 was a hard watch and got even harder when they dove into new and minor character's backstories.
>>S3: Flame Hazes are organized in an army! There are hundreds if not thousands of them and they work together all the time!
I read that in Shana's voice fuck
>yuuji awakening his powers
>yuuji becoming competent and snapping that guys neck
I can understand that the festival arc may have been a bit slow, but everything else wasn't that bad.
>Recalls that I was here watching season one with /a/
Thanks for making me feel old.
>S3 was horrible
You mean it was the awesome one. S1 was awful.
Shakugan no Shana theme song power rankings:
JOINT > triangle = Hishoku no Sora = Serment > being > Light My Fire = Koubou = Akai Namida = Portamento > Yoake Umare Kuru Shoujo = ONE > All in Good Time = Tenjou wo Kakeru Monotachi > I'll believe = u/n > sense > Aka no Seijaku > BLAZE > Prophecy > Sociometry
Man Yoshidafags are just as bad as Manamifags.
I made some melon pan a little while ago in memory of this series. Thanks Shana, I will forever remember your series.
Manami was bland as fuck, but Kirinofags treating her like some kind of evil monster for pointing out that incest is wrong and not wanting Kyousuke to suffer because of his extrovertedness is just hilariously delusional.
Feels old ;_;
A decade later and she is still mai waifu.
>h-how dare girls other than muh generic tsundere love the MC!
Why are tsunderefags such spoiled and sore winners? You'd think they could stand to be a bit more humble about all the pandering to them in harems.
I seriously hope people won't actually fall for this shit he's doing again.
Going to read the LN soon.
How well does it fare, compared to the adaption?
Sabrac's fight in S2 is still the best. 2nd best fight is Shana and Yuuji's first fight in S3.
I believe so, yes. The anime compressed and left a lot out, especially the backstories about the other Flame Hazes and Crimson Denizens that showed up in season 3, plus the motive behind Bal Masque is explored and made clearer. But good luck finding translation for it .unless you can into moonrunes, in which case I'm envious.
Wait, you are saying there are no translations for it yet you judge that it is better than the adaptions, while saying you can't read japanese.
This is quite a paradoxical statement, or am I misunderstanding something?
If you haven't, maybe try the DJT thread on this board. It's not what is used to be, but the ressources it offers are great. Also studying in a group is a huge boost to your motivation.
You just have to find your own motivation for learning and have a set goal in mind and it should work out.
I tried because of DJT. Yeah, dunno for others, but DJT's guide is confusing and too much overlord of info and stuff to do for self study. I'm the type that needs structure and to get pushed into studying. This is why I tend to fail online courses.
Season 3 wasn't amazing but the ending was fucking GOAT.
Best Mami Kawada.
Shana best TsundeRie.
The LN is apparently difficult to translate, and it never boomed like Index or Haruhi. It got caught in an odd time frame, with a few western publishers picking it up then never doing anything killing what little interest in translating it there was. At least that was the last I recall.
Count me in as one of those nostalgic for Shana. It was literally one of the first series I watched fansubbed. I even enjoyed S3, mainly for the ending, that wrapped things up nicely for almost everyone. I actually liked the twist of making Yuuji the antagonist, although it did mean sacrificing the Yuuji-Shana interactions that were a strength of the earlier seasons.
I think most of the minor characters who had roles in S3 were introduced in the LN sidestories and prequel that were sadly never animated because S2 was wasted on filler bullshit.
I really liked the first and second season, but the third season was a big letdown for me.
The first and last few episodes contained some of the best parts of the series, but everything in between just felt slow and pointless.
For the most part of season 3 it felt like yuuji was removed entirely,
