About 12 years ago I knew someone online who had claimed Lum as his waifu long before such a phenomenon had been given a name. His love for Lum was his defining personality trait, not even to be eclipsed by his love for lolis. I sometimes think of him and wonder if he's still alive. What's he doing now? Does he still love Lum? Does he shitpost on /a/?
According to wikipedia:
"Comiket organizer Koichi Ichikawa has described Lum Invader of Urusei Yatsura as being both the source of moe and the first tsundere; figurine sculptor Bome has also cited Lum as an inspiration for his designs."
Get in line. You'll find it's down that way and around the world.
It's iconic. But otherwise it's just average, objectively speaking.
Yes. I also liked the OVA ending with the all the endings strung together with some random English and Spanish thrown in.
You're wrong, and I'll tell you why
1. Extremely attractive character art. Not sexually attractive (although obviously yes), but top-tier newspaper toon attractive
2. Great song. From a musical perspective, not just anime.
3. The editing is top-tier.
>episode introduces the Spice Girls with their big robot
>the next episode they're in class in the background playing with a little robot
Fuckin' love this show.
Alright you fucknuts!
This is the best OP.
And this is the best ED.
Anyone who doesn't agree is a faggot.
I have to say; it really does live up to its tumblr filename.
I've only seen the first season of TLR but they didn't even try to hide the fact that they were blatantly ripping off UY and it was executed so poorly that it couldn't even be passed off as a homage. So yes, UY is a better everything than TLR.
The 2nd ending "Kokoro bosoi na" is my favourite. Lum have some pretty neat dancing skills and it was the song used on that legendary episode when she supposedly left Ataru for good.
