mako is best character
great, but she is only second to Nui.
Too bad the show shes in is shit, and her comedy is ripped from every other comedic relief character.
You seem to have recieved some brain damage. I'd let a doctor check you out.
I can't get behind Nonon. She seems like too much of a bitch.
Mako was pretty bro or sis throughout Kill la Kill. At first I was annoyed by her but after seeing that Satsuki was just an angry siscon, Ryuuko was an edgy teenager and the elite four are nothing but shallow followers she became best girl. The only one in the whole show who never lost her way.
She lost her way in episode 7 bro.
Pic related, best girl who never lost his way.
Nonon isn't a bitch.
She is just too perfect
>thinking Mako is perfect and untouchable
Aye, but at least she realized how shitty she was being on her own instead of the circumstances surrounding her forcing her to stop being shitty. Satsuki and Ryuuko spend most of the series having their guards completely up against everyone and it was annoying as shit.
>you will never hug Ryuko irl
>you will never hang out with Ryuko at the mall
>you will never move from waifu stage to actual wife stage with Ryuko
feels bad, man.
The fact that I'll never experience a fun sleepover with Ryuko at Mako's house just hurts.
I was gonna post that picture, man, what the hell
Why nos husbando love?
Let's not turn this into a feelfest and post more best girl!
How do you make that distinction between "she changed of her own volition" and "she only changed because of the influence of the surrounding circumstances"? As if Mako had that epiphany in some kind of vacuum. I don't see the hugest discrepancy between her realizing "Oh, I'm being stupid" when she beats up Ryuko, and Satsuki realizing "Oh, I'm being stupid" when the Elite Four stand up for her on the Naked Sol, for example.
Yeah, we can post best girl while feeling instead of just sitting around and feeling
>posting worst Kiryuin
Pigs, the lot of you.
Ryuuko is not a Kiyuin, if she were she'd have the glow. Ryuuko is a Matoi through and through.
Because Mako didn't fucking cause unnecessary trouble for everybody like Ryuuko and Satsuki's stupidity did.
>you will never hear Satsuki call out "Ryuko Kiryuin!"
I wouldn't Satsuki if given the opportunity
>Ryuuko is not a Kiyuin
Satsuki = Ryuko > Nonon > the other shitty girls >
dog shit mixed with horse raddish > Nui
>best girl who never lost his way.
Ryuuko spent most of the series losing her way then finding it back again several times. It was like a volleyball game.
Satsuki realized she was on the wrong way and found hers near the finale.
>thinking Mako wanted a romantic date with Ryuko and not just a girl's day out with Satsuki
>you will never be there when Ryuko awkwardly asks Satsuki if she is still a virgin
>you will never get to watch Satsuki blush as she says
And you couldn't be more right. Nui was the only watchable part of that horribly written second half.
You're the minority. Most people, not just Nuifags, thought the second half was terrible.
Yes. Satsuki didn't regrow her hair in two weeks.
Or maybe she did just by demanding that it grow back...
She used a special tonic to grow it back overnight.
>tfw when Ryuuko talks with Satsuki about how she felt when Ragyo forced Junketsu on her and the latter opens herself a bit on her own experiences at the hands of their mother.
>tfw when Ryuuko wants to cheer up her nee-san but doesn't know how because Satsuki always look so independent.
>tfw Soroi have a secret pep talk with Ryuuko and give her hints on how to approach her big sis.
All those feels.
Satsuki/Ryuko feels time? 1/7
I don't know anymore, friend
Ryuko could have killed her while she was bitching about getting her arms cut off, but then we wouldn't have the conclusion. So whatever.
Quality went down a bit, but it wasn't terrible.
>a year later and Ryuukofags and Satsukifags are still mad that Nui didn't get brutally murdered
goddamn I hate Nui so much. Psychotic evil bitch who has way too much power to manipulate people. I cringed so hard when Ryuko kissed her while being mind controlled by Junketsu. I was actually really mad.
I don't care if she died or not, I just wanted her to be the one completely out classed character for once,That bitch jiped me out of a Ryuuko vs Sanyama rematch. I wanted to see how she would be able to get past his spam attack that completely rekt'd her the first time.
That's exactly what makes her so great.
I don't mind, Nui got a fate worse than death, she was forgotten. The strong hate that tied her to Ryuko was dissipated, that hurts her more than getting stabbed.
>mfw you KNOW Ragyou was doing daily purifications on Nui
>tfw I like Poe and KLK
>tfw I don't think either of them are edgy but I can't go a day without hearing otherwise.
I actually don't think KLK is edgy. Ryuko has a couple anger outbursts, but for the most part is a really cool person otherwise. Nothing edgy about her.
I doubt she would have any interest in Sanageyama
Personally I think she might even be a-sexual, since she is a
life-fiber human hybrid
Nice trips there
You're probably right but whatever; I ship pink and blue exclusively
>pink and blue
I could see that working out tbh, even though Nonon makes fun of him (and everyone else but Satsuki)
w-wow, i wouldn't have even noticed
She's a clothing-sexual for the only other
life-fiber human hybridwho isn't a huge shit.
>life-fiber human hybrid
>mfw her skin color will fade and tarnish once she's 40-something
>mfw she will probably barely age at all
More reasons why best girl
>tfw he is
completely on fire I don't save pics of Senketsu, just pics of best girl A and best girl 1
alive in our heartsalways
>pic is mfw
I don't know whether this is pure or lewd...
Did you not
watch the show?
>pure or lewd
You know there are spoilers flying around everywhere?
Why do people hate Nui? Because she interrupted muh shonen tournament arc?
She's my least favorite KLK girl, but I loved how she just burst into the plot with "NOPE shit is getting real whether you like it or not." The disruption of expectations was exciting.
Th-that is pretty lewd.
h-how would they... you know... do it?
It's mostly Ryuukofags and Satsukifags who hate her, especially the former. She did nothing but make things hell for Ryuuko and they couldn't stand it.
I thought it was hilarious though.
Oh yeah, I caught a glimpse of that and
decided not to ruin the image of a perfect Ryuko in my mind
n-no, I don't like to do that kind of thing
using a sock to catch, that is
As a Ryukofag, can confirm this as the correct answer.
I hate Nui so much.
It's like post double-inazuma kick scene of Diebuster, it's a mystery beyond human comprehension what's happening underneath that skirt.
I don't see why one character making life difficult for another would make people hate them. Conflict is the driving force in most stories.
>caring about power levels
>actually the one who killed your dad
That's pretty much the definition of surprising. I hate to be the one to tell you, anon, but sticking a memeface in your post doesn't automatically make you right.
>>caring about power levels
I don't. What gave you that impression? I'm saying the writing on the wall with her being strong and taking out Sanageyama was like a neon sign, so it's eyeroll-worthy when people act like that was a curveball.
>That's pretty much the definition of surprising.
It wasn't to me. Satsuki was too cagey and portrayed as too honorable to murder a guy and run, and there'd already been plenty of foreshadowing that she wasn't the true villain, so the creepy new girl turning out to be the culprit wasn't jaw-dropping.
Well, if the character is hated it kind of means it's making a good job isn't? In that respect I consider Nui a good character. I totally despise her guts and I wish her the most horrid pain but it's normal because she's meant to be hated. She takes awesome or pure characters/moments and shits all over them with sugary joy and a broad smile. That's basically pleading to be hated and it works. Which makes her punishment moments all the sweeter, Nui's gigantic fall from grace in Ep. 22 was glorious and delightfully enjoyable. Went from being untouchable and joyful to getting trash talked, pissed, fooled, trashed and had to be rescued. The latter chapters she went from butthurt psycho to deranged mommy's little girl. Smug Nui was gone forever and I couldn't be happier.
>She will never be real
>She will never cuddle with you in bed
>all you can do is cuddle with a pillow effigy of her
I don't know if it is right or wrong, but society doesn't like it. ;_;
>waifuism is wrong
That statement rings insincere, look at where you are, anon.
She's real in your heart.
>She's real in your heart.
Wh-what if I wanted a real girl, though?
It was a curveball to have a new character who was genuinely evil and not just antagonistic disrupt the plot and start dropping truth bombs on people.
Shit had to get real eventually, but I don't think that many people expected it to happen so abruptly. Ragyo was being built up as the one to take that role, not some little pink tart.
I apologize, my first post was really vague. I meant people like >>122117334 who think the show suffered for her inclusion.
I agree that hating what she did is a sign of successful writing, and I should have taken that into account.
>I don't think that many people expected it to happen so abruptly.
I went into the series with no knowledge of the outcome and I was like "HOLY SHIT" when I saw Nui pull out the other half of the scissorblade. Up to that point the plot was unclear for me, but I love how the pieces all slowly fell into place by the end of episode 19.
>I agree that hating what she did is a sign of successful writing
Yeah that is why I hate her tbh. Not because I think she is a shitty character, but that she has a shitty character. Looking at her always disgusted me from the moment she first appeared.
She fit right into the plot though and was a good character to be included in the show.
I just hate her on a personal level because
muh waifu Ryuko ;_;
My favorite scene with Nui
Also the only scene with Nui that doesn't make my blood boil with hatred
>Stasuki will never be tsuntsun about talking of other things that don't involve total domination of nipland and discipline students
>You will never make her smile despite her hard past
I just want to have a real conversation with her, sipping on some bitter Soroi tea ;_;
>Stasuki will never be tsuntsun about talking of other things that don't involve total domination of nipland and discipline students
>You will never make her smile despite her hard past
Th-that's not true, anon. After the series ends, she turns out to be quite a like-able woman. She would probably actually enjoy that kind of thing...
What about little sister Nui?
Kill la kill yourself. This show was shit so stop shit posting these threads to /a/
>What about little sister Nui?
Don't you dare call her that.
>she turns out to be quite a like-able woman
I'm counting on that anon, she looks so simple and approachable in the end, like a person capable of love.
i would gladly wait her hair grow back again and brush it
> like a person capable of love.
She definitely is, friend.
>i would gladly wait her hair grow back again and brush it
I think she likes her new hair-style though...
Only in essence. Even if they had Ragyou's DNA, they wouldn't have Isshin's.
>you will never be with Ryuko
>you will never be
>you will never wait until her emotional scars heal
>you will never abuse her sexually the way her mom did with ryuko tied up in the corner watching helplesly
>you never make her re-live those horrible moments of abuse
Because Nui disgusts me after what she did to Ryuko
>I can't get behind Nonon. She seems like too much of a bitch
>people are still trying to troll the people who like KLK
whatever, don't care
I dunno about that. She was about as in-tune with the goals of the original life-fiber monster as it gets. If anything, she might have had some help in corrupting Ragyou
She did it out of love.
Nui isn't a bitch.
>B-but she's not even human!
Neither are Ryuko and Senketsu and they're nice
>B-but she was raised by an abusive monster!
So was Satsuki and she's nice
So you see, there's no excuse, Nui was just born a bitch.
everyone knows its Satsuki
It's been a year since KLK ended and Nui haters are just as assblasted as ever. I love it. Feels a little bit nostalgic.
>She did it out of love
>Nui isn't a bitch
I disagree. She was definitely just in it for the ultimatum and didn't care at all about Ryuko other than that she could use her.
I know you are being sarcastic, but man do I hate Nui
>Nui haters are just as assblasted as ever.
[Current Ass Condition: Blasted]
If by cute, you mean psychotic
I am so torn between Satsuki and Ryuko for best girl. They are both just so perfect.
Are you shitting me? You are missing one big factor. Soichiro Kiryuin. He was in both Ryko and Satsuki's lives and taught them right from wrong. Nui had no one to guide her.
These guys know.
>If by cute, you mean psychotic
Nonon's chest in that picture makes her look like a trap, imo.
Not that there is anything wrong with that, she would simply move up in the best girl rankings
I-if you say so
Crossing a line there.
No more than "Blush at the teacher's cock" Ryuuko or "Cum from me mum" Satsuki.
Nonon never really shows interest in anyone save for her teasing of glasses and the other divas.
Second season? Not likely. A movie is more likely because of the fanbase and the the final battle between the galactic lifefibers and the three sisters.
>Satsuki is beauty and justice. Compassionate and intelligent. Best all around
Beauty, Brains, Justice, Mercy, Love, Control... pretty much perfect... but Ryuko... something about her just draws me in...
>Crossing a line there.
Seemed obvious to me
>No more than "Blush at the teacher's cock" Ryuuko or "Cum from me mum" Satsuki.
Unlikely. But I'm not ruling out a movie or something like the Parallel Works.
It was pretty much implied that no such thing was ever implied
>pretty much implied
Why, because she wanted to go on a "date" which could simply be a typical Mako over-dramatization of "girls day out"?
Where are the other scenes? Where is the typical embarrassment when around someone you are attracted to? What other reasons are there to think this? Ryuko is Mako's only and possibly first friend, so it wouldn't surprise me one bit for her to be clingy like that.
inb4 trolling the butthurt Ryukofags
I don't remember any implications to the counter, it just seems to me that the evidence in support of this "romance" is terrible at best.
Possible, but I like her attitude and her personality. I didn't find Satsuki attractive at all until late in the show when she started to open up.
I don't agree with Ryuuko and Nui, but I do like the idea that Nonon and Inumuta liked each other.
I got those vibes since they were together a lot and he went to protect her during the big raid they did.
Not a lot of detail is given, but she is a regular citizen now. No more armies. She seems to have decided that her next goal in life will be to try and make the world a better place or some shit (see the OVA)
>I think they'd be a cute couple.
I mean, I could see that... I just don't think that would happen. Mako is so over-the-top that anything she says is hard to consider as romantic unless we see some legitimate scenes that are unambiguously clear that she has romantic feelings (ergo: confessions)
The only one there I see happening is Gama/Mako, even though his dick is probably the size of her head (though it DOES get hidden by the nudist beach equipment). Still, Mako acts like such an autistic child all the time that it is hard to tell if she likes him or anyone at all.
Satsuki will probably be unable to get over her past anytime soon.
Ryuko is possibly asexual because of what she is (and if not, we know nothing about that kind of thing either... possibly lesb, possibly not)
Possible I suppose. Not a combo I would have expected myself, but not that hard to believe.
If that's the case, then I'm okay with that. There was a lot of ship bait between Gamagoori and Mako, even if it was mostly one sided.
I don't know. I just felt like their interactions were more playful than when Nonon talked to Monkey or Gamagoori I guess.
I could see MakoxGamagoori just because Mako seems like an abusive slut. She'd love beating him up, and she probably likes big, muscley men.
I don't actually like the pairing, though.
>I don't know. I just felt like their interactions were more playful than when Nonon talked to Monkey or Gamagoori I guess.
Fair enough. I didn't see it myself, but when I think about this show I tend to think more on the relationship between Satsuki and Ryuko rather than romantic relationships and such... so it might have just not caught on to me.
Well there's never anything obviously romantic that I remember in the show at all. Unless you count Mako's mom lusting after Kuro Sensai's cock and Gamagoori having a crush on Mako.
>Well there's never anything obviously romantic that I remember in the show at all.
Nope, and it is better for it. It is refreshing to not have to eyeroll at awkward scenes and shit. Gives the show more potential for depth imo.
>Unless you count Mako's mom lusting after Kuro Sensai's cock
Naw, not really
>and Gamagoori having a crush on Mako.
Yeah and very defending... plus him holding flowers in a white tux at the end of e24 really makes it a high probability. Nothing official, but I would agree with you completely.
Nakashima has said repeatedly that there's no romance in the show, so all that stuff's up to the fans. And with regards to Gamako, that the relationship as written is just mutual respect and admiration.
>mutual respect and admiration
I mean, if Nakashima confirmed that there's no romance, then I guess that settles it, but I'd definitely say that it didn't feel like respect and admiration that made Gamagoori act that way around Maka.
I'm not saying there was any googly eyed romance implied, but I think it's reasonable to say he had a small crush on her.
>Don't lose your way has a rap insert on the OST
I'm a big fan of rap verses, but the inclusion just felt very unnecessary. Guess it's like a nod to TTGL or something.
I almost wonder if they added that scene at the end to add more speculation.
Again, I think the show was much better off without romance. Plus it makes more sense with the 2 MCs being molested/delinquent.
As someone who hates rap in general, im glad someone made a 10 minute version that loops with the rap edited out. Even if I did like rap, it seemed so out of place.
I think it's great, the duet between the male and female leads one singing pop one rapping, coming together pretty much captures the entire show.
>I almost wonder if they added that scene at the end to add more speculation.
Or there's just fans of the pairing among the crew and they threw it in.
It wouldn't be so bad if the guy had flow. But he sounds like a high school amateur.
>Or there's just fans of the pairing among the crew and they threw it in.
That too. Anything we come up with is going to be speculation, so not really worth arguing about it other than to explain why Ryuko and Mako are not actually "dating" romantically.
Pretty much, it's pretty obvious when it's not /a/ regulars around. I remember for a while after it aired no one even mentioned this anime.
KlK is completely forgettable and is only popular among entry-level viewers.
>KlK is completely forgettable and is only popular among entry-level viewers.
If you say so, m8. The people who say this seriously are simply the elitist f/a/gs that nobody gives a shit about anyways.
There are four kinds of people on this board; people who don't care about klk threads, people who troll them, people who hate the show vocally, and people who like or just want to discuss the show.
And it just so happens there are three KlK threads going right now; one is 100% bait (for the trolls), and one is about how underwhelming the ending was (for those who heavily dislike the show).
So we're in the unusual spot where awe have a KlK thread that actually isn't half bad.
I would say it's exactly half bad actually.
This is pretty much how it is.
>So we're in the unusual spot where awe have a KlK thread that actually isn't half bad.
Yeah, a lot of this thread has been
me and a couple otherswaifu talking. However, it isn't half bad since we are actually talking about the show seriously.
>tfw I left /a/ after episode 3
It feels like I missed something big. I can only imagine /a/ after the sister reveal.
>you will never experience KLK the first time again
>you will never enjoy the threads every time a new episode comes out
>you will never experience the same feels that you experienced during all the big twists
feels bat, man
The sister reveal was dumb.
The honnouji betrayal, and the incest molest leading up to it was the high point.
Indeed. Mako single-handedly saved that show.
>The sister reveal was dumb.
I thought it was pretty cool, but I can see why you might find it lackluster
>The honnouji betrayal, and the incest molest leading up to it was the high point.
Yeah that shit was amazing. Never seen a show with that kind of sexual molestation on screen just to help set up a long-time-coming twist like betrayal.
That picture makes me smile
best wincest ever
What are you talking about? There's a ton of OTP
It doesn't really matter, even when she squats, she's still cute.
Are you telling me that you can't squat comfortably?
What the hell is wrong with you?
well im kind of a big guy and i havent squatted in ages. last time i remember doing it, it didnt feel so good. i guess you have to condition your leg muscles to be accustomed to it
I can't place my finger on it for sure but it's mostly during times and peace and happy moments. I pretty sure it plays while everyone is eating together on the big nudist beach battleship for one last time as well
>you'll never see Gamagori work up the courage to ask Mako out on a date only for Mako to tell him they (Mako and Ryuuko) are gonna go see a movie together without him even getting a word in
Nope it was omitted for some reason from both. I believe it was on YouTube at some point as probably a rip from the show, but since then every version has been copyright claimed by Trigger. I can't even find a name if it actually has one
But there's a godly Satsuki domming Gama one without dirtying her hands.
To be fair most of other KLK doujins posted on sad panda are shit, there was that one futa Satsuki x Ryuuko one which was funny after reveal they were sisters.
But the show had to be really unpopular seeing how little doujins it got.
Most KLK threads burn and crash in a mess of rage posts, but this is going smoothly.
Ryuuko is just OTP material for best girl.
>Ryuuko is just OTP material for best girl.
That is true.
Absolutely disgusting. Here's a nice, wholesome OTP.
Is there an OVA planned for this or something?
Ryuuko at the end of the series was a protagonist I wanted to actually spend time with. Throughout, she was way too temperamental and jumped all over the place in character because identity crisis shit.
I was totally into the episodes where she was sure of who she was. Not really liking Ryuuko was a major sticking point while watching the show. I liked pretty much every character around her though.
Who would you rather be in this situation and why
I want to be myself in Satsuki's position.
Senketsu gets to live because the highest quality girl loves him more than anything.
Junketsu gets to be a snack after being emasculated by second highest quality girl
The decision is obvious.
The life fibers in Ryuko's heart are Senketsu. So his body is at least semi functional as the red star while the core is separated. That's what it means to wear him over her heart.
Nah, Senketsu was kill-la-killed. Nui is the one who is still live.
That's completely backwards, she has no one who'd keep her alive in her heart.
She doesn't need someone to keep her alive in her heart. She just never died.
She died the moment Ryuko stopped caring on the ship. From then on she was just a
harmless shell of her former self until she was promptly eaten as a snack too.
Nui was rearmed and dangerous. Her personality/will/whatever endured merging with OLF and we know from canon that he's a pro schemer and rusemaster.
>Nui goes into OLF
>OLF goes into Koketsu
>All 3 are eaten by Senketsu
>Then all 4 are destroyed in re-entry
>But Senketsu has his "soul" or banshi intertwined with Ryuko's, so he lives and regenerates in space
I mean, I suppose it's possible Nui left a piece of herself somewhere, but it's more thematically appropriate she doesn't since Nui is characterized by not having any ties to the world.
The main theme of the show is the bond between Ryuko and Senketsu, which is why even after she outgrows her sailor uniform, Ryuko never once stops wearing Senketsu inside her. It's thematically appropriate that he lives, at least to a capacity.
Yes it is.
Ryuko starts the show trying to get revenge because she wants to find out who she is, to that end she teams up with Senketsu who has no memory or identity. But over the course of the show they find their purpose in each other, and wanting to wear/be worn by each other, and they're able to overcome the past. Every step of the show serves to temper their bond, until in the end they are truly two souls in one body. Satsuki opposes them as someone whose so wrapped up in her revenge she can't see there are other people to live her life for, the way she sees they're relationship as a fairytale is straight up what she has to overcome about herself after she's proved wrong.
If by that you mean going suicidal nuts then I agree.
Nui recovered some threat level at the finale but she was never in control again. Her smug unflappable self died at the boat.
>I can only imagine Ryuuko at 40. She's likely going to age like fine wine thanks to life fibers.
>tfw you realize she will have to bury Satsuki after she dies from old age but Ryuko has barely aged at all
Height difference: the animation
>Kill La Kill Movie
>The Leader of the Life Fibers attack Earth once it finds out the Life Fiber seed was destroyed
>Ryuko and Co are defenseless against it
>Senketsu falls from the sky
>Ryuko gains new abilities and such
>Nui returns because of Senketsu
>They fight each other until the leader steps in
>Nui tries to join the Life Fiber team but they see her as an abomination
>Nui goes berserk and becomes and uneasy ally to Ryuko
>Final battle ensues
>Ryuko passes Senketsu to her daughter as she goes to school with Mako's kid
>Principal Satsuki ruffles her hair as she goes to class
>They sit down
>Turns out they are being taught by her crazy aunt Nui
>Nui La Nui Movie
I would rather have "Maiko's Revenge: The Return of the Revenge of Maiko"
Rather than Nui returning, couldn't it instead be an unstable prototype Nui awakens in an abandoned Kiryuin facility, and flags down the Life Fibers and acts as the main antagonist of the movie? The rest sans the ending is par for the course.
>this will never happen in real life
Why I allow myself to suffer, I don't know.
Well I always figured that was related to them being made super powerful when wearing them, so she wouldn't have to really worry about that.
But there he's just a sailor uniform, and a very revealing one at that. So I guess it's weird to see her wear a scarf.
It's kind of like how Jap porn is censored. Adding that one thing isn't going to do much. We can still tell that that's a cock, much like adding a scarf won't keep her warm when she's half naked.
Yeah I get that. If she could go into space dressed in her super synchronized form, I dont think the cold is an issue.
It is funny that there is a scarf there though. Probably just to make her look more
Senketsu radiates body heat. The scarf is there for style, Ryuko likes scarfs.
This one's not porn, though.
This bitch was one of the reasons I didn't like the show that much
Absolutely annoying as fuck lolsorandum genki hoe who contributed nothing and was there just to be an anime jar jar binks and act as a voice of reason once every episode for 60 cringeworthy seconds of "comedy"
>Absolutely annoying as fuck lolsorandum genki hoe who contributed nothing and was there just to be an anime jar jar binks and act as a voice of reason once every episode for 60 cringeworthy seconds of "comedy"
Yeah I am gonna have to agree. I get the kind of satire they were after, but it really did detract from some of the most dramatic scenes in the entire show.
