>>122178693 50% of delinquent manga are realistic, and even the other 50% that have people getting punched across halls still have them get fucked over when they're ganged up on or attacked from behind. Just read Be-Bop High School and the few drawn out fight scenes were pretty good.
>>122178903 You mean /asp/ No because no matter what it turns into big dick shows. That's all fucking /asp/ is. That place gives me cancer. There's no such thing as a true intent to discuss or modesty when it comes to that place.
>>122179417 >threads can turn into pretty decent discussions. No, they can't. They turn into people who begin their post acting like they're contributing and then end up leading into and doing nothing but talking about themselves. That place is fucking trash. I was meber interested in discussion but I did go there to see if there could be any interesting information. After a good day or two of lurking I basically made a post in a thread sperging about how they're all faggot cocksuckers who aren't really fighters then left and never went back. I've never seen such a display of trash. It's like all the big dick faggots at the gyms just gathered onto that board and started doing they're disgusting tendencies there.
>>122179520 >who aren't really fighters you mean, there's someone in the world that is a "real fighter"? this is why I can't stand people into martial arts, they're chuuni as shit but they think they're hardcore realists
>>122179586 >Wing Chun No. And it looks like you're just another one of those faggots. I study boxing. And I could go on all fucking day with bragging material. I'm sure as fuck not even 1/4 as pretentious as them. Reason I don't is because I'm not 1/4 as much of a faggot as they are either.
>getting this mad about the inherent nature of every 4chan board No, the one thing I can vouch for about 4chan is that they aren't like that at all. Each board may be stupid, pretentious, elitist and so on but they surely don't go around blogging and being nothing but non contributing arrogant attention whores.
>>122179771 I'm not saying they don't produce anything good. They do a lot of subs, too. Well, that one guy does. But it's a pain seeing them on /a/. When on /a/, be an /a/non. When on /k/, be a /k/ommando. There's nothing stopping you from doing both at the same time.
>>122179739 I didn't mean to come off with that "honorabu samurai" bullshit. I just don't think being a fighter is something you should go around bragging or flaunting. It's simply stupid and immature. my point with that was a lot of people there are pretending to be something they're not, among many other things.
>>122179811 Eh, it's true the threads do devolve into /k/ shitposting at times, but it's actually been less frequent lately, and the shitposting has moved onto Kancolle threads, which have absolutely no relation to /ak/, for the record.
>>122179881 >it helps them evolve It would be if image boards needed evolution in any way. too bad they won't. look at /tg/ . did it really needed to become tabletop /v/? I don't believe so. evolution will come anyway while the users generations change. forcing it means just polluting both habitats you fuckhead.
>>122179881 >the board itself though. No but my point is that wherever you bring that subject, that shit will follow guaranteed. I've already seen it a lot on /a/ when people bring up anime/manga that focuses on fighting, and I honestly very rarely lurk the catalog, if ever, and lurk said threads even less.
>Intermingle board cultures I think it's good only when it's needed just we don't have extra branch/needless boards being made.
>>122180008 >did it really need to become tabletop /v/ Is that even what it is anymore? >forcing it means just polluting both habitats you fuckhead >forcing it I always hear shit like this, what the hell defines forcing something on here?
>>122180153 Forcing it mean consciously doing it. Forcing a meme is reposting it until other people post it too. Forcing /ak/ means making threads with /ak/ in the subject rather than just threads that /k/ and /a/ would both be interested in.
>>122178693 Realistic fighting is really more beneficial from a plot standpoint, all it does for the fights themselves is limit the potential for the choreography. I guess you could say it makes them more brutal or that it raises the tension a bit, but there's other ways to do that.
>>122180425 Speaking of which how come there's been almost no discussion about the new Desert Punk chapters? Someone's finally scanlating decade old chapters at an astonishing pace and no one seems to give a shit.
>>122178693 The most realistic I can remember is Shigurui. Some of the stances and grip techinques can seem retarded, but details like the strongest characters being all muscular as fuck, the short length of the sword fights and the disgusting gorey details gave a realistic feel to it.
>>122181274 If I were an anime director, I'd hire a team of expert swordsmen of various styles to work out the choreography. I'd also hire a bunch of /fit/ physicians to handle the movements of the superpowered little girls. Of course I'd do all this in secret and forbid them from going public. The battles would be short and uninteresting to look at and the girls would look like they're spastic or something. Everybody would hate the action aspects of my anime until one random anon mentions that it kind of looks realistic only to be shit on by everybody else for liking crap.
>>122181369 You know, if it just stuck to one style it could be both realistic and drawn out. I mean lengthy realism comes at the price of severely restricting the choreography but it could still be interesting. Of course then people would just call it boring.
>>122181369 >hire a team of expert swordsmen of various styles to work out the choreography Studio 4C did hire someone to help with the fight choreography for the Berserk movies. However, fights in forms of media are hardly ever made to be fully realistic with good reason- it would be relatively boring to watch. A good fight doesn't have to be realistic, it just needs to be believable.
