Looks like episode 1 probably be a hour again
-Rin's last dream and conversation
-Archer's Betryal and Shirou saving Rin
-Rin and Shirou back to back in the graveyard
Looks like Ufotable is streaming in more languages that before.
For Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Iceland, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Spain, Portugal
Ufotable/Aniplex does not fuck around about wanting this to be a international series.
So I can't watch it with my French IP, is that what you mean ? Because Wakanim bought the licence in France and their video encoding is fucking trash, if I could watch it legaly on viewster that would be great (but I still don't really know if their player is better, I only watched some early Gintama episode with it)
It's not for all of Europe. Notice of how French, Italian and German speaking places have their own thing. That's because they're the main three places in Europe where there's an actual market for anime.
>most info dump
They're "making fun" of Type-Moon for this while actually doing the same thing themselves.
It's called dedication and pride. Something that a lot of studios lack.
When did they start the whole Saber clones joke again? Was it with Sakura Saber?
It is mainly Nasu
He is constantly talking about how Takeuchi will look for any excuse to draw Saber or look at Saber.
Takeuchi did give Nasu a place to live and took care of him during their early days together so he is allowed to do what he wants.
>Looks like episode 1 probably be a hour again
>Looks like episode 1 probably be a hour again
I doubt that
>Episodes 1, 2, and 3 will be previewed at a screening at Shinjuku Wald 9 in Tokyo on March 28, 2015.
it will be normal length, I think
Think about all the content they have to cover to reach this scene and the fact that this is not going to be how the episode ends as Ufotable never show a early shot from the end of an episode.
You really think they can try to cover this with no problems in only 20 minutes?
It was the same thing with the final episode of the first cour.
Takeuchi really really likes Saber. Saber is also the most popular TM character. This results in clones of her being put into most spinoffs because Saber sells and Takeuchi loves his waifu.
Some are different costumes, others are different characters that just happen to look exactly like Arthur.
Why would they change it? It rakes in MAD dosh and keeps Takeuchi happy.
She was in some shitty Twilight clone or something before. It wasn't Fate so nobody cared. That's why they made her into a Saber to make the game better though
There's a Sakura Saber?
Yes but you posted Saber Sakura
>All these historical figures that were actually a little blonde girl pretending to be a man
Shit. What if I'm secretly a little blonde girl?
Then Heroine X will be coming to eliminate you soon.
This makes me think of Star Wars EU where even the guy who says "Look sir, droids" gets his own book.
Swap out Sakura for Saber and alter the ending so that it includes Illya route. Its basicly like the fate route but with more best girl kotomine and no idealistic bullshit from an japanese ginger.
>Kiritsugu has Maiya prepare a mechanical prop more fitting for guerrilla warfare than a car in the form of a Yamaha V-Max, a powerful motorcycle likened to a "steel lion", during the Fourth Holy Grail War. It has a ridiculously impractical and hypothetical design that ignores the limits of normal drivers. The motorcycle body, that of a Yamaha V-Max, is already the most powerful in the modern world, and the original V4 1200cc 140 Horsepower engine that could already work near its limits was strengthened again into a V4 1400cc engine. The acceleration system is completely reinforced to make it a monstrous abnormality with an output equal to 250 Horsepower. The structure of the V-style propelling mechanism and its four-cylinder design allows it to immediately start to work as a two-cylinder design when the limit of engine rotation is reached and allows it to increase the amount of air sucked in to achieve an ultimate acceleration.
This is cool as shit. Did it Show up in the zero anime?
>mfw the german dub of fullmetal panic is still in my head after all these years.
Damn, I need to finish Heaven's Feel.
Because you can't mispaint their precious eroge.
>Archer is the real show, providing the bulk of this volume's visual power and poignancy. His fight with Berserker is littered with images of brutal beauty, and his Unlimited Blade Works is hands-down the series' single coolest combat technique.
Tsukihime, Initial release date
>Not the dub for extra cringe
I watched it back then, and thought it was okay. Looking back on it today, I have to say FUCK NO.
Fuck no. I don't know what I was thinking back then.
>Really that bad?
The animation is atrocious and the story is butchered. Don't bother, the VN is better even if it drags at the start badly because Shirou is simply the worst during that first half.
Probably not worth your time unless you just want to see how bad it is.
The only thing half decent is Saber's resolution. The Archer vs Berserker fight isn't great but it's ok and inaccurate based on the VN.
I recently read the VN and the way people were talking about it I was expecting cooking scene to be every other minutes but they weren't. If anything the date with Saber in Fate route hindered pace for me than anything else.
There's never a cooking scene when you wouldn't expect one.
I don't give a shit about UBW and I dropped the anime, but when are we getting HF movies? I'd like to see info on that.
Also, Tsukihime remake when?
The box set has a ~420mins run time due to that extra 100mins footage, which is like 7 hours. If Part 2 is just a long, the anime could even be just as long if not longer than the actual route itself.
This is quite something.
>extra 100mins footage
Ufotable isn't fucking around.
Also it still around $250 on amazon.jp for anyone that wants it. That is a insanely great price for any series but especially for this.
That's like 5 more episodes for the first part. I was going to watch the TV airing this week, but maybe I should hold out until it releases. If they added that much to 12 episodes then maybe the TV version is rush job.
Unless you are importing the BD might as well watch it now. It won't be online until after the show starts back up.
I am going to have to marathon it under a week (5 days if I am lucky).
>maybe the TV version is rush job
not really, there's 3 one-hour long episodes in first cour. it's literally 1:1 adaptation plus some original scenes (which is pretty neat), except the monologues and a few "less" important scenes
it's quite something
My mistake, the actual BDs run time is 480mins, So it's actually 8 hours total.
Assuming this is 24 episode + double 13, then that'll add at minimum of 4 hours 30mins, so ~13 hours worth of footage here. They'll most likely add in another double for the final and extra BluRays footage too.
So TV will actually be longer than the route.
Don't see how they would do HFs in one moving considering all these extra time they're giving UBW.
It will always be like this won't it...
>he's a counter guardian
>on the earth
>on a catastrophe zone
>he does it for free
>he takes his "job" very seriously
>he does it because it is the only amount of happiness he will ever have in his pathetic life
>he deletes people he doesn't like because he gets upset other people would die
>he deletes people he doesn't like because he made a contract with alaya to save people but he can only do it by killing people
>he will never have a part time job again
>he will never move out of the throne of heroes
>he will never have a healthy mind
>he will never get to put anything on the fire besides swords again
>he will never have a girlfriend again
>he will never have any friends again
Worms ain't got nothing on this shit
Fuck no. I got the Tamako Market EN dub and I've hated myself ever since. It's so fuckin' disgusting.
I don't think she was ever trying to upstage that.
I wonder, would Sakura hug Archer if she heard his tale? Would she lament herself not being there for him? I think so.
Then they talk about cooking automatically and the relationship of a kouhai and senpai renews itself. Then he tsunderes himself away because hell no he isn't Emiya Shirou.
It writes itself.
Is DEEN the most influential studio of our millennium?
I have spent entirely to much on Figmas and figuarts this year already and have way to much stuff pre-ordered( /v/ stuff /toy/ stuff and /tv/) just can't spend 250 right now even though I want to very much. Gonna have to wait and torrent it.
Reminder that Gawain is the best Saber, and that he rivals King Arthur in strength even without Numeral of the Saint.
Depends, is Gawain cucked enough to stand a chance against the king?
My favorite part of the OP
People rarely ever get it, Type Moon is self aware as fuck. They always make fuck of their own shit, it becomes running jokes, but they still make it canon.
It's a franchise that's half joke at times, but then they make the jokes into fleshed out real shit, while still acknowledging this is crazy. It's Nasu's entire thing from the start "Make stupid or crazy scenario(King Arthur being female), give it some weight and writing so people eventually accept it despite being laughable because its well enough written(Otaku throw money at them), then they laugh about their own stuff while getting tons of bucks and create more fun shit they consider fun"
It's kind of been that way since day one here. Make bullshit of strange stuff, write it well enough that people accept it as normal, yet it's still funny and strange.
"Takeuuuchii!" has been a running joke for awhile now, as he makes a new Saber each time. On his official stat page his Noble Phantasm is even "Unlimited King of Knights; A reality marble that erodes the stance of the company to create unlimited Sabers". I mean fuck, Tiger Dojo should tell you how serious they're taking this shit.
Shirou's sky is a dawn. This symbolizes hope, change and a possible happy ending.
Archer's sky is filled with gears and smog. He's set in his ideals and can't change them. He is but a cog in the machine. His ideals are slowly
Here's something even more written by Nasu then, if you don't want to accept the official joke manga as an example of how they fuck around and have fun with this all.
Guess what I just realized?
>Less than a month till Aprils Fools
Wonder what TM will do this time?
Last years was fun but still couldn't beat out Sacchin's adventures.
I'm saying that basically the shit they introduce there becomes canon, even if it starts as a joke. All the servants that get introduced there get an official stat sheet and everything.
It's almost a bit strange really
He's willing to make everything that shows up there real basically, or he originally writes the concept for it himself and tells them what they can put in there. Could just be like with Apoc where he and the other create hash out "Can we do this?"
>Doing the same thing over and over again
Archer must be level 965 already
It's always a funny story how these things come about
>AUO Cast-Off [Other]
>A thing of supreme beauty Gilgamesh exposes in the fifth chapter.
>We went and made the “cast off” happen for fun during scenario production, and the staff added the comment, “we’ll use Gil’s swimsuit for this. We’ll just cheat a bit and keep the camera up and reveal only a bit of skin.” The reply to which, as if the writer were completely oblivious to the context, was “huh? It’s a nude of Gil, right? We have that.” I don’t know why.
>After that, not only Gil’s nude, but the female protagonist’s swimsuit, gym uniform, and even tights were discovered by the staff, made “off the clock, spontaneously,” and were accepted without further question. >Thank you very much to Kunimitsu-san from the modeling team. Thanks to you our protagonist is undoubtably a pervert from the second week on.
Reading Melty Blood, I can't believe I forgot how absolutely adorable Arc was. Remake when?
How to spot a retard who has no clue about how RMs work
Never, fortunately. They ruined Arc's design. She is the one true queen of Type Moon.
Good thing I'm a little girl.
Replace every servant with a saber clone.
Saber Archer, Lancer, Berserker, Rider, Saber (obviously), Assasin, Caster and Gilgarturia
Honestly, I can deal with the miniskirt - I just don't like the lack of air intakes. But as long as it comes in a reasonable amount of time, I feel like it'll be okay.
I can't do it. The miniskirt is absolutely haram.
It's situations like these that make me glad I don't give a fuck about Arcade
What about the other heroines? Not like they get a faster remake. Well, maybe the maids if Takeuchi picks up his meido fetish again
Well the redesign of the rest isn't that bad or alienating in my opinion, so I'm ok
Yeah, I really like Ciel's redesign. It actually makes her look like a "cute senpai"
For all of Takeuchi's same face, I do like how he made the eye angle and shape slightly different in the maids to differentiate their personalities.
The stat sheets are fine, and they're Nasu-approved as well. They're believable enough considering max boosts from fame. It can boost Vlad, overall a mediocre Servant when not relying on the Dracula fame boost, to Karna-level. If both Oda and Hideyoshi are naturally strong on their own, being boosted to that extreme isn't super surprising. They'll probably be more tame when they appear in Grand Order.
Every time I hear this, I wonder why it exists.
This Saber sprite was in HA, right? I don't really remember seeing it though.
True, Arc is the Queen, and Arthur is the King.
New design a shit.
An ordinary day at the TM household
The original thing about it a few issues ago was that the author had just made it up and mentioned that he didn't show it to Nasu. The most recent one described that they had gone over it together for the new sheet at least.
Stop posting fakes, have the real Saber replacement.
>implying Gil isn't a better King than Arthuria
You can't stop me, even with your MEoDP Ms.Ryougi Shiki. Accept your Fate.
So, how will Tohno's redesign look like?
Will he keep the shirt or go with his Carnival Phantasm clothes?
>Cucked by the King of cucks
He truly is the King of kings
Stay in a Garden full of Sinners for your crimes as a Saber lover.
Not too different from Shirou I imagine.
Shut up, 9th.
You cannot stop it, My Unlimited Sabers have already eroded the stance of the company, you are already dead.
I-I can't see the lines, that shirt is blocking them?!
I wonder if any moon anons can translate the rest of this. I'd love to have Takeuchi's stat sheet in full.
Because Carnival, outside of the end scene with fucking EVERYBODY, was meant to celebrate Fate and Tsukihime. If we DO get another batch, I hope it's more like Ahnenerbe no Nichijou than Take-Moon.
>Looks like episode 1 probably be a hour again
>implying they can fight against a True Legend
Shiki go back to begging your husband for cock.
You monster, just marry her and leave every best TM girl alone.
But Shiki gets along reasonably well with Proto Shirou
Carnival Phantasm is not an actual representation. It's an adaption of Take Moon that changed and added some odd stuff.
In reality Shiki and Shirou are complete opposites in almost every way that would make them odd working together
Does this list even have all the Shikis? You could make a case for the Nanaya Shiki from KT and the Nanaya from Melty to be separate entities, and there's Roa Shiki from Ciel's route.I just want this to be as confusing as possible.
Ultimately, Shirou is self-sacrificing to the extreme while Shiki wants to cherish and enjoy what life he has left. If they met on non-hostile terms, they'd probably get along well enough, but wouldn't get too close to each other because of their fundamental difference.
That list is still missing some
You underestimate the power of Shirou's homecooking
Ryougi implied that she wanted to get her brains fucked out. Saber said it outright.
What did Alter use while fighting Berserker in the wood? Excaliblast or PB?
>Previews of the second cour happening later this week
>BDs in roughly two weeks
>Second cour soon after
TIME NEEDS TO MOVE FASTER
There is literally nothing wrong with this particular cut other than the character models lacking detail for the sake of animation and distance.
The fact that it's all done without ever cutting away is a precious wonder. Fuck UFOtable's gorillion cuts per scene bluster.
This scene is working under a movie budget. It might be acceptable for a TV series, but I challenge you to find one single frame in that webm that looks decent standing on its own.
Dude, the character models are fucking scribbles, the animation is ass and the choreography is fucking shit. There's everything wrong with that scene, it's worse than the flash stick figure fights of the last decade.
It's mediocre. The effects are bad and the general movement is weightless. Web gen animators have done better low-detail cuts on a TV series with far more interesting effects and movement.
It's not mediocre, it's plain bad.
Protip, if the animation and choreography themselves look shit too, making frames look like shit is also meaningless. You gotta learn the difference between smears and plain shitty drawings to save effort and budget.
Literally. Nothing. Wrong.
I'm exaggerating, obviously, but I think the single cut is criminally underappreciated. The movements flow perfectly from one to the next with no loss of coherence, without downplaying their strength.
I totally disagree on the lack of weight behind it. I haven't seen the movie, but I can still hear the sound effects and feel the oomph in each blow.
Anon, you are entitled to your opinion but I fear you come from a world we may not understand. It is honestly some of the poorest animation I've ever seen and this damn thing has a movie budget.
Nothing wrong if you like the action in one long take, this is one of those things that only looked good in the storyboard. There's no denying the execution is poor no thanks to the animation. In the end it looks like two colourful puppets flailing at each other.
Because for starters Type/Moon has legions of frothing at the mouth fanboys who won't shut the fuck up about the visuals to the point where it becomes the commonly accepted truth that it doesn't get any better than this, same as was the situation with Kyoani in the late 2000's. Not to say that ufoTABLE doesn't have pretty good scheduling and production values and clearly gives more of a fuck than you'd usually expect out of a studio adapting some visual novel thing from a decade ago but it's really the Type/Moon fanboyism and constant hammering on the point of the production values that takes how it's received to that next level. They're literally considered the flat out best of the best because they're practically the only ones people are willing to include in the conversation or pay attention to until someone else comes along like happened with Kyoani. Don't forget too that at one people seriously considered SHAFT one of if not the absolute bare none top notch companies for visuals strictly based on the hype being generated off of Monogatari and Madoka which Aniplex no dead fed into and perpetuated as much as possible with their marketing. I mean people think A-1 has top notch production values too so it's all a matter of perception, marketing and hype really. Meanwhile the actual great animators that are pushing the boundaries of the medium are working on stuff like Nihon Animators Mihonichi and mainstream movies.
This is the increasingly rock stupid by the year anime fanbase that doesn't into critical thinking and reasoning. For them it absolutely does. Low standards and what not.
>I haven't seen the movie
Oh then watch it my friends. It's a fucking sight to behold. You think there's weight to this shit? Just look at this, swords fully embedding themselves in the ground from nothing, Shirou just casually pushing away a servants. There's a reason the whole story got remade less than half a decade later.
>Meanwhile the actual great animators that are pushing the boundaries of the medium are working on stuff like Nihon Animators Mihonichi
You mean the series of shorts that's filled with Eva shilling and bad CG?
So seriously though why is Fate/Stay Night like one of the only franchises /a will generally except and refuses to shitpost. What makes it the one sacred thing? Is it because it has waifus?
If you think the CGI in the last short is bad then I don't even know what to say because it's as close to photo realistic I've seen CGI get outside of a Hollywood budget. There's really no comparing any of the CGI in pretty much any recent anime let alone ufoTABLEs to it.
I don't wanna, because I know most of the movie is as painfully bad as the webm in your post. But I still think that one Lancer vs Archer webm looks good. The scribble models are mostly irrelevant.
>The scribble models are mostly irrelevant.
No they are not. You'd think they'd take advantage of the scribble models to make up for it with good, complex choreography, but it's pathetic. There's nothing difficult about a single cut where the camera barely moves.
Try watching more action scenes in anime first? There's a variety of ways to approach action, it just depends on what the director likes. Some like to move the camera around more, others not so much.
3 is nothing compared to some months ago.
Oh, shit my archca thread! He is so smex.
Someone better get some Dr.Gil edits for the first one
>RODADA RORA DA and DO YOU HAVE ENOUGH SWORDS, KING OF HEROES? will be airing in the same month
>you will never have a time machine to tell 2007 anons to never give up on their hopes and dreams
Shit I forgot we're probably going to have DIO along with Fate. It's going to be a great month for funposting
I want to make sweet tender love to Rin in general.
Why does Rin look so much better without the twin-tails?
Because that's the goal to work towards. twin tails are a tsundere trait, and once they're gone, you've conquered the tsun.
I like this version of Rin the best. She seems to have the same demeanor as Touko Aozaki in some strange way.
Older Rin best Rin.
I like both Aozaki sisters.
What of it?
oktaste. But Dirty Red is still Dirty Red.
Even has a teenager Rin has a horrendous drug problem. She needs help.
That was a fine addition. We need some sort of benchmark for Gil slaughtering him. Sort of screws up the Saber sux, Archer rules thing with Illya, but that's minor and doesn't come up again anyway.
I'm hoping the TG thing will be explained properly in their final fight, considering the big crux of that fight is actually dodging it.
