ITT: We post only the coolest and most alpha characters
He's pretty cool but don't forget that Yattaran tells him to fuck off when the Cap'n calls him to the bridge during battle. Too busy making plastic model ships, the Captain promptly apologises for interrupting him.
Not him but are you telling me that a captain that utterly respects your dreams and passion isn't alpha as fuck and worth laying down your life for?
Garlock is the definition of manliness.
Harlock is the original gar, just look at this slick motherfucker.
>not knowing him as Albator
Pleb, I bet you didn't even watch the show on television
>Not him but are you telling me that a captain that utterly respects your dreams and passion isn't alpha as fuck and worth laying down your life for?
He's pretty good, but it's not him you lay your life down for it's your dream. So that's a pretty contradictory thing you just said!
That smiling image in question is a bit dubious though, it was like he had trolled the protagonist of that series all along and was smiling in joy at the moment he crumbled.
Garlock is pretty apt, the guy is peak Humanity defined and distilled, volition at it's finest in an era where Humanity is at it's worst.
And of course, he LITERALLY shoots with his sword and stabs with his spaceship. Amazing guy.
I thought it was going to be some kinda time travel twist at the end and it would also explain why Maetel had his mother's body.
I was just wrong. Plus he looked alot like a straight up older version of Tetsuro.
>and it would also explain why Maetel had his mother's body.
What did Maetel see on Pluto?
This one part has always really unnerved me. Whose body was Maetel going to see on Pluto? Was it just a red herring?
I think I only know just realize that she might have been visiting
her mothers human body.
I'm sorry but nobody ever goes from that much of a fucking potato to being as dashing as Harlock
isn't a robot, this was proven very close together when Antares puts her through the scanner to verify if she's a machine or not.
Yeah, but she said that
she gets a new body whenever her old one gets too old. Her body is a copy is a Tetsuro's mother's in her younger days. She's gone through tons of body's and is hundreds of years old. I assume the body on Pluto is her first body.
I'm not sure
it was a copy of Tetsuro's mother, she probably takes new bodies but they don't look any different from each other. The similarity was probably just a huge coincidence and more poetic story telling than a hard plot point (her being sort of a surrogate mother to Tetsuro in his real mothers stead. The conductor would probably be a lot more unnerved around her if she kept showing up in different bodies, unchanging ancients seems to be more the norm. Not only that but don't other unaging ancients recognize Maetel on sight? Like that time witch for instance?
I think it really is her
mothers body actually, that would make a lot more sense for her to go look at.
I have to wonder how Emeraldas appears to have unaged even though they're
meant to be sisters..
I think it's more likely that the plot is just inconsistent, so there's no real point thinking too hard about it. Trying to piece together consistent facts in GE999 and Space Pirate (ESPECIALLY space pirate, holy shit leiji) is headwrecking.
typical of leijiverse I guess.
Also now that I think about that, that line is attributed directly from the GE999 movies alone isn't it?
I think anything presented in those movies should be treated separately from main 999 series.
