>>122384002 The moral of Madoka Magica is that selfish love makes you evil. Homura cares only enough about Madoka to desire her. She doesn't give a shit about what Madoka wants or what's best for the most people. Selfless love, the type displayed by Madoka, is the only thing in the series that doesn't fuck everything up.
>>122384002 The moral of the story is that a obsession with your friend will make you crazy and call it love. The whole time before rebellion I thought "How can Homu keep sane? How can she cope with Madoka's god-like status after trying to save her most precious friend for so long?" The answer is; she didn't.
>>122385582 If Homura failed, what would Kyubey even do with Madoka? If it could use her to make even more energy then they wouldn't need magical girls anymore, which would be better than making more contracts so more magical girls would suffer.
>>122384002 The moral is love isn't always the right thing. Homu wanted Madoka to be safe, at the cost of the rest of the universe. She was acting selfish. Love does not equal right is what I get out of it.
But it gave us Devil Homu so everything is alright.
>>122385582 Homura wsa the only girl who was aware of Madoka as Madoka, not just as a nebulous, ill-defined Law of Cycles. Kyubey chose Homura for their experiment because she was the only one who could summon Madoka as an entity, not just as a principle.
The moral was unloved people deserve not to be saved, because they will ruin everything. Now Madoka will have to kill her herself, and even though she will enjoy it it probably isn't worth having heaven and her ideal that hope is always good violated and ruined beyond repair.
Homura doesn't deserve forgiveness because she never did anything good for anyone, ever.
>>122385582 >Kyubey would have found Goddess Madoka any day
Just say that you didn't pay attention to the movie. Homura was the Incubators' only chance given the nature of the barrier, which was directly explained to us. As the only one with the memories of the person Kaname Madoka was (the girl who never existed), carried from the old world, she was the only one who could "invite" her inside of it.
Unless the mechanic was drastically changed, Incubators ruined their only chance because they are dumb fucks
>>122385582 Even if you think that's possible, it just means you missed the point of what Homura did. She's not just generically protecting Madoka again, or Rebellion would be a repetitive and pointless addition to the plot.
Which means that we all born from evil. Bad, bad Urobutcher. You teach us kid something forbidden. 2% of Japan's suicide case on Urobutcher's hand. He's worse than Illuminati, freemason, or insert anything that conspiracy-like.
>>122386891 She isn't protecting Madoka at all. She raped her soul and sealed it away to be tortured while a brainwashed Madoka lives a mindless existence so Homura can force her to smile and feel like she succeeded. Madoka never needed protection, a big reason why Homura's wish was evil and totally selfish. Now Madoka does need protection, from the evil itself known as Homura, the demon she never loved.
>>122387286 They needed to learn slavery isn't acceptable. Homura needs to be butchered, maybe given to them as a source of energy they could torture and pluck apart until her consciousness ceases to exist, instead of directly murdered.
>>122387697 If only Mami had killed her there. >awaken witch >Sayaka forced to kill witch >Homura dies before Madoka can get to her, ruining Madoka and Kyubey's plan >"Oh well, I never liked her all that well anyway." >everyone is happy
>>122387697 Don't just plug in words that make you sound right. >idealized Turning a an idea back into a human with thoughts, feelings, friends, and family is literally the opposite of idealizing them. >disregard for others She and Mami are visibly hesitating throughout their fight because neither wants to harm the other one. You can't possibly have missed this. That's not to even begin on how her ideal world include the other girls' idyllic happiness, not just Madoka's. (Sayaka and Homura's terse relationship notwithstanding) >far more destructive I didn't realize that giving girls their lives and their happiness was destructive. I'm sure Kyouko and Mami must be real pissed off about the whole "not living melancholy, lonely lives" thing. Nagisa seemed rather irate.
>>122389020 >Turning a an idea back into a human with thoughts, feelings, friends, and family is literally the opposite of idealizing them. Good pun, but Homura still had a romanticized image of Madoka's life. It's the one she forces her into, regardless of what she wants.
>That's not to even begin on how her ideal world include the other girls' idyllic happiness, not just Madoka's. (Sayaka and Homura's terse relationship notwithstanding) I don't believe Homura's one-dimensionally evil (she would have tried to kill Mami if that was the case) but she's the self-proclaimed villain. She has tried to help the other girls in the past (for what little good it did her), but Madoka was always the priority.
>I didn't realize that giving girls their lives and their happiness was destructive. She's erasing their memories and rewriting their lives against their will though... If her world is as stable as Madoka's why make them forget? Why threaten Sayaka?
>>122389806 Homu probably can't bring dead humans back to life whether she wants to or not. And maybe she can and she did. We have no way of knowing.
>>122389020 This is a really good response. I was going to say more or less the same thing.
>>122390028 The context makes it pretty obvious. Moral is a didactic lesson, love is AI YO, and evil is whatever abstract notion of evil Homu was referring to. The answer is no, because there is no didactic lesson.
