YFW this whole anime was just build-up so we could judge Raito.
>they mention people are dying faster than the usual
>ryuk says there is no heaven and hell
>death note users cant go to "heaven or hell"
>Raito is stuck in the quindecim
I laughed, Madhouse is funny. This all because the other guy had Light's voice actor, and some of DN's animators are likely working on this.
He got off too, since it looks like she used her soul instead.
>Death Parade is just another season of Death Note (that's why the names are similar)
>Everyone there was killed using a death note
>Since they were being influenced by a DN they can't be judged just by their memories
Yes. It's a cameo of him. They could have drawn any random guy in that scene, but they drew Light as a joke. The girl had to choose whether she'd void the random guy aka Light to save another guy, who was voiced by Miyano who is Light's seiyuu. She voided herself instead of checking Light's background.
Ryuk is saying that there is no heaven and hell in the sense we go to the void and reincarnation.
in Death parade, people use the words heaven and hell to tell you about void and reincarnation, as an easy analogy humans can understand.
"Death note users cant go to heaven or hell" can mean you wont be able to go to the void or reincarnation.
I'd say complete cessation of existence is far better than the alternative. Sooner or later you will end up in the void so by that reasoning Light got the best possible ending, all because he was willing to mass murder.
I'm betting if there's an S2 it will revolve around fixing that fucked up afterlife system.
Alright /a lets do this
>He gets to stay in a nice comfy bar while everybody else will eventually be voided one day
This is the canon i want.
>YFW He smiles while
going into the void while holding Onna/Chiyuki
>Raito and L's Judgement
Make it happen madhouse.
Brings a whole damper to the episode now that I know they both got voided.
I don't give a shit what anyone tells me. Light was my hero when I was an edgy teenager and I'm taking this as canon and believing he got reincarnated for another chance at taking over the world.
>mfw everyone thinks Death Parade is actually a Death Note sequel
>mfw Raito will try to get revived in the last episode
>mfw he suddenly gets beheaded by a certain baboon.
Sorry, I deleted because forgetting n̲'̲t̲ changes everything. But it's nice that you knew that I meant >>122866212.
Will her plan succeed?
And then we will see him swim again on the ground as he turns mannequin and be voided like everybody else.
Unless he made a deal with pink pineapple beard and somehow he manages to be an arbiter. Now that's an asspull.
He said he was sending her to the place Harada's soul was; the void, before she talked back. The masks are likely just changed after the people are in the elevator so they dont freak out
Your face when?
Son of a bitch.
he was sending her to be reincarnated but she said her life was meaningless without harada, ginti got mad, voided both,
harada was gonna be voided no matter what according to ginti, he just wanted to see her do something awful and she didn't but her last remark sealed the deal for him
I don't know what death parade is, but I'm really happy that Light is in it. He may have lived and died like a bitch, but he was still one of my fav. characters. It was just so entertaining watching him bullshit his way around the rules. I like to think he continues his ruse cruise even in the afterlife.
All the light heartedness in that episode is now ruined.
God damn it, Ginti.
>isn't that notable or popular
Anyway,Death Note is a very good anime for both casuals and veterans of the medium,it's also very appealing for both the western and eastern audience(which is extremely rare)and can be recommend/enjoyed by people of literally all ages(which is another rare thing).Another thing is that Death Note can be appreciated even by people who genuinely dislike anime in general(saw that happening many times)and by people who love anime too.
Death note is actually one of the few mainstream(and critically acclaimed) anime that deserve the praise it gets in my opinion. It has flaws of course(like every show in existence)but you have to be a special kind of contrarian faggot to actually believe that the show is shit.
The show does turn kinda shit after L dies.
I'm not a turbofaggot for L like most people, but the most interesting aspect of the series was his battle of wits with Light, the 2 replacements aren't as interesting.
I'd argue that the second half is better than most people make out to be but it's still much worse than the first.
>the most interesting aspect of the series was his battle of wits with Light, the 2 replacements aren't as interesting.
Agree with you,Near is by far the worse of the bunch but Mello is not that good. The truth is that Light carries the entire second half in his back.
Still,i think that the second half(is not really a second half because L dies in episode 27 i think?)is better than most anime out there, even if it's bad for Death note standards
I'm not autistic about it, I just don't care care enough to think of him as anything else. Why should I make that kind of effort for a series I'm never going to enjoy again?
Yeah I'm still surprised. I thought it was just accidental look a like and it became a joke. But nope.
Just read another online post mentioning how Quin complained of a lot of recent deaths lately. If this actually does lead up to a Death Note sequel, pretty awesome. And then we find out one of the main writers is Death Note's author.
oh wow, honestly without this thread i literally would have never thought they were connected at all. i didn't even pick up that was supposed to be light, i thought it was just a random character.
