>this will be mfw Shirobako is finished next Friday
Whose dick should we have to suck in order to get S2?
Make it easier for Oi-chan
You know the answer.
Is one episode enough time for Rii to execute her master plan?
It's from Cosmopolitan, so yes?
Funny story, they actually posted a rebuttal of sorts to their own sex tip from someone who actually tried it
Jealous zukafags because she got it too easy.
I wish 3D was as irrelevant in anime as Mii was in Shirobako.
No. Post good-looking 3D in televised anime that isn't some variation on robots, or you shut up.
Disgusting 3D apologist fucks.
It has been posted a lot recently but.. HNNNNGGH
Junketsu no Maria and Parasyte has both been very enjoyable.
I'm enjoying DRRR and Yona as well.
It definitely has not been a bad season, I usually only have 1 or 2 shows I can like per season.
The animation is killer. The transition from teary-eyed to tears of joy with the embarrassement, as well as the perfectly animated tears are superb.
But what really kills me is her little soft sobs that are just beyond cute.
20/10 would hug.
If you're watching only a handful of shows, then every season must be good.
The amount of shit this season is unreal. I usually watch 25-28, but I can barely stomach 15 this season.
I'm not saying that to brag, as if it's something to be proud of, but just to give you some context. I have nothing against people who watch a handful of shows.
You see, I drop majority of the shows and only keep handfuls. Every season.
So abundance of crap doesn't really count for me, only thing important is the number of watchable shows.
You could have a season with 100 crappy shows and 10 good ones, and it would be a good season for me than having 20 crappy shows with 5 good ones.
Zuka's moment of glory aside, post some best moments of Shirobako, both cour.
It is not even a contest.
SHIROBAKO is the only show that I actually F5 actively during release day. Im@s went to shit after the 1st ep with Mio fucking Honda and the rest have been utterly mediocre and forgettable.
Fall was even worse. Yuyuyu was the only other interesting original and ended with no closure.
I only watch 1 show this season, Shirobako.
When you say 'drop', how far do you get? I don't see how you could only find five watchable shows in a season.
No, I just enjoy variety. Though I do sometimes take pleasure in watching things I hate. It depends on my mood.
It's my only hobby.
I didn't want to start a blog. Sorry.
After all those episodes, it's just strange to see budget v. quality topic isn't much explained. All of screw-ups mostly come either from directors, faulty planning, domino effect from small stuffs, etc. Does that mean that all this 'm-m-muh budget!' complain is invalid?
My record is 25 for a season. It was back in 2008 and actually caused a lot of trouble in my real life, starting from too much time spent and so on...I think anything above 20 is damaging, while somewhere between 10 and 20 is plausible. Below 15 is perhaps the limit for a healthy hobby life
Sometimes an incompetent staff is just an incompetent staff.
The scene where Tarou interjects with his opinions to Endou about 3D, and Endou's reaction was priceless when Tarou said that 3D was the future. Like all the color in his face vanished, his hopes and dreams died in a flash, anger and sorrow cannot begin to describe it. Made me laugh too hard.
I watched the first episode when it aired, but Ive been reluctant to watch the rest.
Its got to be stressful to watch the same way the The Office is embarrassing to watch.
I keep seeing posts and pictres about the redhead suffering, and I dont think I could handle it
This. So yeah, a good season for me is when I enjoy more than the usual handful of shows, regardless of how large or small of a percentage of the good they make up.
Same deal with seeing it on social media and /a/, etc, if there's more than the usual number of well-received shows that gather a lot of buzz or acclaim or whatever, I'm willing to pronounce it a good season. Like if there were 50 shows made and /a/ liked 10 that's a more successful season in my book
The director couldn't even shed off his jiggly jiggly heaven tag after years away from it.
From what was shown to us, it seems like the production team actually know their capability(budget) and will not actually demand excessive cuts that they will never deliver.
I should mention that recently, more of them have been shorts.
I don't think consistent 25+ was something that used to happen more than a year or so ago.
I started seasonal watching in early
But I have seen tons of such complains, especially anything comes from DEEN, A-1, or IMS.
Isn't it strange that they don't meet that problem? I'd believe that if it's Canaan or G.I. Staff, but not Musani.
>social media buzz = quality
>unpopular shows aren't worth considering
She had a happy end (maybe).
The problem is not a sheer number of shows you watch. It's about time you spend for 'thing other than a 25 minutes episode', like going somewhere to talk about something you've just watched and etc. If you are watching more than 20, the chance is highly likely that you have like 4 to 5 shows of which you find interesting enough to do more with it, and that's where it starts to damaging your life
Why would it? They dont air chinese cartoon on the same day and they are usually spread out over the week.
Lets say you watch 2anime/day, it is only 40mins/day. For me, I dont watch TV and it is only 40mins of my time per day.
Most people watch more TV in a single day than I watch anime in a week.
>Lets say you watch 2anime/day, it is only 40mins/day
>watch 2 anime a day;40 minutes
>go onto /a/ to talk about them; 4 hours
Sounds like a joke? It happens a lot more often than you belive
But that doesn't mean they don't have budget problem. At least they could mention that, it's just way too smooth with Nabe-P handling all his stuffs with production committee, it's unbelievable.
I always wonder how /a/ loves this show so much when they called themselves NEET. Before i got a job, i couldn't watch anything about people working because i felt bad about myself. Maybe /a/ is full of half-normalfags like me.
A good season should be judged as such based on the amount of actually good stuff, not the amount of 'stomachable' garbage. This season is chocked full of absolutely garbage battleharem LN adaptations that are borderline unwatchable even for the shittiest of tastes, but that doesn't change the fact that there's also a tonne of actually good, or at least decent shit this season, especially compared to the abject shit that was most of 2013 and 2014, where there were, at most 3 or 4 decent shows each season.
Relative to that, with stuff like Rolling Girls, Koufuku Graffiti, Cross Ange, Death Parade, Aldnoah, DRRR S2, Jojo, Maria, Parastye, Saekano, IM@S and Yurikuma this season, it's one of the least shitty seasons in a long time. Damn near anyone can find at least a half dozen shows to watch, no matter what your preferences are.
Most people who call themselves NEET are just joking/exaggerating.
That said, I'm NEET but love watching anime about people working, it's basically like a fantasy. Especially in anime, since work is cute and all problems with coworkers are played for laughs or resolved.
You can find "occasionally trustworthy" opinions ANYWHERE.
The problem with /a/ is that the amount of garbage pile to cover any intellectual or constructive opinion is so high, it's worse than a needle in a haystack.
I have extremely low regard for "anons".
Whoever it is in these threads who knows enough moon to explain the real life references is amazing, too. Thanks, anon, your posts are always a joy.
The anime industry discussion is nice too.
And fuck, I almost hoped it was shit to be sure I missed nothing. Next time I stick to the three episodes rule properly.
I'm starting to see this a lot these days, is this an English as a second language thing?
Caught is the proper past tense, catched hasn't been used in over a century.
>Do you base that on how popular it is on /a/, or the ratio of love/hate it has in its threads?
Neither and both. i don't solely use /a/. I read recaps or reviews, see my social media feed, and threads on /a/ and elsewhere to see what the "mood" around the show is, and if there's more than the usual shows inspiring a lot of buzz (ideally more positive than negative) all around, then I'm willing to call a season more "successful" than one that had fewer shows people were talking about.
I'm not some kind of pollster and I'm not a blogger so I can't be bothered to exert any more effort than that, and ultimately it can all be overturned by what shows I actually liked and watched, which can include unpopular things that no one else seemed to be watching.
The first was more interesting and fast-paced, believe it or not.
I don't want to stop you though. If you like asspulls, literal plot devices, and a boring rivalry between boring characters, then you might enjoy it.
It's not as good as the first season, if that's even possible. They got rid of the PTSD faggot's screentime-sucking subplot, but instead transformed the show into a really dull space opera political drama. The threads are so full of shitposting because there's really nothing else worth talking about.
>Zuka is now a proper seiyuu
>she racks more bucks than other girls
I'd love to see her boasting new dresses and bags she can easily afford in front of other girls. Especially Ema.
A/Z is like cross ange minus the fun but too bad it took itself too seriously. It is a shame since the production value is high and the mech mechanical designs are pretty good.
Cross Ange actually know how to take itself not seriously and play it off like a joke. It is like those trashy B grade film.
Yandere edits and bully wars are probably what keeps most of the threads alive. Besides, /a/nons can be surprisingly creative and funny, unlike the guy who always posts shitty distorted images and webm all the time.
Does Ema even care about clothes?
She seems like the type of girl who wears a hoodie and yoga pants everywhere because she can't be bothered wearing anything else. Except that Ema probably only washes her clothes once a week at most since she can't afford to wash them more frequently.
Cry like a bitch
Yes my bad, not a native speaker.
The premise with "anime talking about anime" left me extremely reluctant.
I hate how LN, manga and so anime tend to treat more and more only about Otaku culture and I thought Shirobako was not expection.
I want to make Ema's VA a single mom.
It's funny because I actually look forward to bitching about Aldnoah every week, but then the threads end up being completely unfunny unironic shipwars, tripfags, namefags, honest to god political debate as if the writing warrants any sincere scrutiny, and there's at least one barely literate ESL fuck.
Not like Shirobako threads which are usually full of cute GIFs, jokes, anime industry discussion. The "shitposting" is never depressing armchair debates about bullshit anime physics.
And it's all going to end in one week. I'm going to imagine burying my face safely in Best Director's soft belly now. ;_;
>Took several years just to land 1 role
>it's not even 5 minutes worth
She's still as fail as ever. Her voice isn't going to magically fill cash cow roles when they have never happened before.
She already bullied Aoi till she cried like baby.
Who do we bully now anyway?
I'm enjoying second season actually. My problem with the Aldnoah threads on /a/ is that they're full of people honestly unironically debating everything even though the writing isn't good enough to warrant deep analysis.
She was in the head of Kinoshita ever since the audition + she actually has something of quality to put on her CV. That's a big first step, and she might be called back for other Musani productions.
Plus now she actually has something to put on her resumee and some actual experience inside a recording studio.
The days of Bazuka the walking embarrassment are over
It's gotten so bad that not even those people are sticking around. It's like the same five faggots arguing about real life politics/philosophy and trying to apply their Wikipedia citations instead of just relaxing and joking about SPACE WIND or something. I think the last thread they literally argued about whether mining resources from asteroids vs a planet was more viable for 20+ posts.
I still remember how she really blew it during this audition.
She really grew up between those. I guess exercise and depression help people to mature. From messing up a group audition to nailing a single character voice is a fucking huge gap.
>The name stands for a team of female screenwriters (a plot writer and a dialog writer), coordinated by a third woman named Michiko.
>Implying Okada is not involved in a P.A. Works
There was almost a full year between her goofing that role and auditioning for 3rd aerial, that's a lot of time to improve especially when you're doing stage acting on the side.
Now no one will bully my waifu by calling her a boy.
This level of buttmad makes me want to watch. I enjoyed Valvrave and Gargantia, but have not yet seen either season of Psycho pass. Will I enjoy Aldnoah?
Valvrave was silly and enjoyable to watch with /a/. I quite liked Gargantia, for the art mostly.
Aldnoah is just drab and and depressing. The first half has some good moments in terms of presentation, and some interesting mecha concepts, but the second half is the equivalent of a beige, wet, moldy towel.
Why is this boy wearing a wig?
He will never look these qts with those man body of his.
I don't like mech shows (I dropped Gargantia) but I enjoy Aldnoah. As long as you can relax and not take it too seriously I think it's worth a watch. (Psycho Pass is legitimately good, I haven't watched S2 yet, though.)
>Psycho Pass is legitimately good, I haven't watched S2 yet, though.
Set your expectations low, and then shit on them.
What is this facial expression trying to convey?
you're going to have to shop out her fashion sense too
>not wearing based skirts
No idea but the bust size correlate with official arts.
Who knows it might be another fake.
Hm, well I do have the first couple of eps in my download folder, now that bakos be over soon I should have time for a trial viewing at least.
Because comic artists can't into weapons. At a long shot, it's possible that they went with an incorrect design due to comics code regulations against depiction of realistic weaponry. Like how comic-book guns from the 70s-early00's never look plausible because of scares about assault rifles etc.
She did wear a skirt at one point. She just probably doesn't like them.
Diesel is such a cutie, holy shit.
Aoi is still the cutest though.
He and Tarou keep the Pareto ratio among the staffs. By localizing the bad apples, they make sure that other staffs in Musani perform well.
They are the heroes Musani need, but not the ones they deserve.
With Zuka no longer a complete failure, there needs to be someone left for /a/non to identify with.
S-stop, the long haired picture was supposed to stop you bullies.
>This is my donut.
>There are many like it, but this one is mine.
>My donut is my best friend.
>It is my life.
>I must master it, as I must master my life.
>Without me my donit is useless. >Without my donut, I am useless.
His dream and hope went out of the windows when they turn one of his favorite manga into a smut.
>picks herself up after being knocked down
>achieves her goal through her own talent and effort
>cute as fuck
Most wifeable bako by far
Shouldn't Zuka apply for some minor roles in the past 2 years? There are probably a lot of small roles in anime that only speak 1-2 lines in the entire cour (like the mixing assistant or Ai). It's weird that she competed for the main character Aria when she didn't have any experience yet.
>future alcoholic with a fatty beer bully
Diesel all the way. A proper lady doesnt drink.
>sexually frustrated due to expected standards
>spends a lot of time with producers and managers
>in an industry notorious for sexual exploitation
Yeah. Enjoy your wife. I'm sure plenty of other men will do the same.
Sharing is caring, anon. Don't you care about the future of the industry?
These lips are saving anime one casting director at a time
Time for shitty armchair psychology.
Due to her job, she often has to wrestle with important people, difficult people, namely important and difficult men. Her drinking beer is a way of trying to say "I can be one of the men too; I'm not just a feeble girl who can be pushed around".
>Rii's cola or whatever
She's painfully aware of her boyish appearance. She feels even more self-conscious about this because her expertise is computers, and she recently spent a lot of time modelling tires and car parts; associated with masculinity and lack of sensitivity. A cocktail is a pitiful way of trying to be more classy and feminine.
Ema is weak willed. She was too nervous to order a complex cocktail, in case she embarrassed herself. She didn't want to appear immature by ordering a carbonated drink like Midori, so copying Aoi's beer was the only viable choice.
I'll bet Ema drinks beer because it reminds her of the father that she had a falling out with. She chose her career over her family's wishes but still misses them. Part of her motivation for pushing onward with her career is to become the kind of person who can stand with dignity before her old man. She's too shy to date so she can't find an external surrogate and has to internalize it instead.
Misa probably drinks cocktails because the best way to bait a meek young lesbian into putting out is to get her smashed, and most of the girls at her local cherry pit don't know their limits and will just try to her drink-for-drink. Sweetness masks the flavour of alcohol and makes it more difficult to realize how much you've had and how drunk you're getting, so cocktails are perfect for that purpose.
I'm not even murrican, but they do have some excellent craft brew
It's expected when everyone else around you is drinking, so either Midori is a cunt or the more likely reason, she's underage.
Pollackthough you kurwo.
This isn't even a nationalistic thing, Japanese beers are known for being really weak.
Jap nama beer taste like water anyway. Sauce is me.
Besides it is part and parcel of Aoi job to entertain and drink with sleazy old men to coax them into taking on jobs while they are drunk.
Riichan is probably a Russiaboo so I am more inclined to think she would drink whisky and vodka instead of disgusting beer.
As far as I'm aware, they have shitty weak fake beer, and then proper beer which is much more expensive and less frequently consumed.
Perhaps you're thinking of the first. I'm not sure.
I really hope they adapt Shidenkai no Maki. I want a proper plane anime with dogfight.
But then you would get money taken out of your paycheck by the state to pay for your mistake.
I work in payroll anon, I feel bad for some of the people I deal with. They pay out over half of their paychecks to the state for child support. Making a girl a single mom sounds cute and romantic, but it's very expensive in real life ;_;
I don't think they have dolls with her on it.
Yeah it's longer in this scene than it usually is. It's usually only as long as pic.
THIS THREAD IS NOW A NO-BULLY ZONE
THERE WILL BE NO BULLYING BELOW THE BULLY LINE
I dare you to call this cutie a boy.
>dresses like a boy
>fashions hair like a boy
>acts like a boy
>has boylike interests
>works in a male-dominated field
It mainly just panders to my trap fantasies. Mii is 7/10 and a girl, but 10/10 as a fuccboi.
Not a short, plus lots of build up before the jokes really start paying off.
It's mostly to have something to do when you're bored and have downtime, or to break up your focus when doing tedious work.
Since you don't really have to pay attention to something like Isuca to 'experience' it, you can shift between it and some other task. Watching 5 minutes of shitty battleharem after 20 minutes of work helps keep my mind awake.
>nose turns red
Their next anime will sell twice as much as bako minimum, it has the same staff and formula that gave PA Works their top selling product that has not been surpassed in 5 years
She's perfect just the way she is.
If you anons truly loved her, you would love her regardless of what she wore or how long her hair is.
Men marry girls in hopes that they don't change, but often they do anyway. 2D is eternal.
is he the savior of anime?
>only one more week until yandere edits are done for good
That's a feeling I know all too well.
>Oh boy, I've got 3 whole fucking hours before bed and work tomorrow!
>Time to watch some anime!
And then I get through 2 episodes and spend the rest of the time arguing on /a/, and end up staying up late and being tired the next day.
Fuck you Mii-chan. Learn to draw and stop making anime shit.
Yeah, I think we're all in the same boat.
>Need to go to bed
>Decide to defend the Bakos (except CGslut) for another 2 hours
>need to go to bed
>defend mii-chan from bullies who call her a boy and insult her instead
>bullying and defending at once for maximum efficiency
i like the way you think anon
