Opps, It appears you uploaded the wrong file. Here, let me help you with that.
tsundere characters are the character type authors turn to when they cannot cleanly add in tension. they are the most reactive to negativity, the most willing to make a misunderstanding, and they hold grudges over little things.
in short they are emotional bombs that other characters are forced to deal with. worst. characters. ever.
>Came to learn about the term in 06 thanks to Shana
>But have loved them since late 90's
You seem to have uploaded the wrong file too
My most favorite archetypes are tsundere and kuudere, and I think all of them are love and wonderful in their special way. So, yes.
Generally I don't considering it's just a shit personality archetype to begin with, there are some that manage to win me over though.
(Nagi is the better sister)
Cute = good.
>That feel when your waifu is tsundere so she hits you and calls you an idiot. But, she isn't strong enough to physically harm you and you think it's cute so you kiss her to make her stop. She blushes, obviously swayed by your sudden sign of affection amidst her battering of your body and after a few mere seconds she kisses you back in return. You remain like this for at least 10 seconds uninterrupted and then you slowly pull away from each other. She stares into your eyes, and you are already doing the same with a horribly goofy smile that sends her heart pounding at a much faster rate than normal. Her face goes cherry red once again, and she punches you to cover up her embarrassment. She calls you an idiot afterwards. You only stare at her for a few seconds, saying nothing. She asks you why you're staring, acting as though she doesn't care. Again with your goofy smile you just laugh at how horribly cute she is while flustered. And she starts to hit you and call you an idiot again.
Yeah, Louise isn't good. She is
one of the best and most endearing.
any tsundere experts can tell me if this bish is one?
Maybe at the start, but she hasn't been one for a long time.
I don't agree with some of the ones marked in red, but you got Shana right.
Make these green, and I'll agree.
Proof: As people grow older and more mature, they start to realize how shit tsunderes are.
This isn't a good/bad issue. This is an issue of new age versus classic style tsundere. The difference being the rate at which they shift tsun forms, and the time it takes for them to transform into dere (if at all) over the course of the series. Both are viable forms that should be respected.
I normally dislike tsundere until one turned out to be a bro and the best girl.
This is probably because they watch babby's first anime from 14-17, and then have watched so much more. Tsunderes are all the same, so when you start to understand what a cut and paste piece of shit they are, it's annoying. In fact all cut and paste personalities like Kuudere also fall in results which supports the theory, while things more associated with occupations and body types don't.
Why do people hate gyaru?
YYY is the comfiest mahou shoujo, healing and yuri subtext await you!
If you were talking about adults, then maybe. But most tsundere are either a child or a teen with issues in expressing their feelings and handling their emotions. It's perfectly fine for them to act out their tsun in a temperamental manner because they are still kids.
Judging a tsundere entirely on tsun and dere ratio is utterly retarded and makes you sound shallow. What matters most is development and execution. And probably above all else, if the tsundere is cute or not.
Tsunderes always, ALWAYS deserve to lose. They do nothing to show their affection. They think the guy is supposed to be a mindreader who just knows what they want. They also often come with shit tier qualities such as being a bad cook, which is not cute, it just proves they're not capable of being good wives and mothers.
Too bad that the guy tends to pick the shittiest possible option anyway.
>It's perfectly fine for them to act out their tsun in a temperamental manner because they are still kids.
anyone who lets their teenage kid act like that is a bad parent/teacher/mentor. teens are precisely when people are supposed to learn to control themselves, it's the time the are supposed to be learning to be adults
Stay mad, Amifag.
I need another tsunRie character before i die.
For those who are unaware, and I know there are a lot: tsunderes are designed for beta characters. Their obnoxious nature contrasts with their pathetic timidness, which in turn, creates a good balance. There's a reason both tsunderes and betas are so popular.
They are allowed leeway and room precisely to grow, and tsundere usually do grow. That's what makes it acceptable. Especially in Japan that treats the line between kids and adults as a major cultural thing. Once you become an adult, it's like your world stops and you should change completely as something befitting of a responsible member of society who goes to work and fulfills your duty as an adult.
>The Four still having fanarts made
There is still hope.
>tfw tsundere as fuck
>"ye whatever, fuck off m8"
bflooks cute as fuck
>"wow you look like shit"
How to not be so tsundere? ._.
tsunderes are bad precisely because everyone lets them do whatever they want. if they have a tantrum, no one tells them to have more dignity. the only one who can do anything is the love interest. thus the relationship becomes that of a parent trying to placate a child. it's horrible.
>Once you become an adult, it's like your world stops and you should change completely as something befitting of a responsible member of society who goes to work and fulfills your duty as an adult.
teenage years are the lead up to being that respectable person. people are supposed to tell you how to improve, what you lack, to discipline you. you don't magically turn from a yankee to a salaryman once you turn 20. it's a gradual thing.
I only like tsunderes that only have it as a personality trait, rather than it being their whole character. It also has to make sense with the rest of their character, not like normal tsunderes who are cunts for no reason. I don't really like them, but I like the contrast between the tsun and the dere.
One of the appeals of tsundere is precisely that the love interest gets special treatment from the tsundere, who tends to be on strong, guard, above those around them. So only the love interest being able to defrost their tsun makes perfect sense. You have a personal issue in that you feel the need to discipline or correct what you consider is bad behavior that puts you off. It's your mistaken in seeing that they need to be fixed by others instead of just letting the tsundere grow and go from tsun to dere by themselves because of developments and growth caused by going dere.
>it's a gradual thing.
Not in Japan.
Dang what the hell with those manly women?
How do you put in people who barely scrape for tsunderes yet won't put the one who molded the tsundere type herself?
I'm happy Index won't have a shitty tsundere end. Kamachi is one of the few writers that know going for a serious tsundere route is pure bullshit, and instead uses the tsundere to be ridiculed by other characters that point out every thing that is wrong with the typical tsundere antics, and lets the other, nicer girls have better and meaningful development with Touma.
Some of us remember the wheel. Or at least hope some do.
i fuking hate tsunderes, but back in the day everyone kept saying im most like one
Did you? Even during Sana's arc, threads were mostly civil and her fans still liked her. There were a few anons who played the game and even liked Sana the most and wished her a better fate in the anime.
That's good. Keep it that way, anon.
Not really. I'm not saying all Miufags shitpost, but the ones that do and has it out for Sana does appear to do so because they just want to hate tsndere. Sana is an unfortunate but perfect target for "BTFO" meme that gets tossed around from that side.
But Sana did get BTFO. That can't be denied.
Sana lost because she wasn't honest with her feelings and treated the MC poorly which is just simply poetic justice. Airi was best girl and clearly deserved the win but I was fine with second best girl Miu winning
>MC simply prefers the nice girl
Exactly my point, if Sana was honest with her feelings she could have had a chance at being that "nice girl". But instead she doesn't change her way of approach and then loses because of it
Sana is the epitome of BTFO though.
Being honest with her feelings wouldn't change the outcome. You can't just expect a large and sudden change so quickly because of that. Ariri still has a strong personality even after what happened. The core characteristics that makes up their personality is what makes them who they are, it is their appeal. They can't be a nice girl type, so their fate is sealed. It's different if we're talking about their routes though.
Just stop. Try talking like an actual normal person who don't use terrible forced memes.
Stop trying so hard to fit in.
His Nee-sans and women who are capable of fighting at stupidly high levels are much better than his Tsundere's.
>Takahiro makes the best tsunderes.
Mine and Karin were my most favorites. I'm inclined to agree.
I don't have a list, but I would say I have seen over 600 anime. And that's not even counting manga and LN I read and games I played. Also, why are you trying so hard?
>He wasn't here when /a/ was talking about TSR and Fumoffu
You missed a great and fun era. /a/ doesn't talk about old shows that doesn't have lasting hype. That's normal.
Dude. FMP's LN got completed years ago. Where have you been?
Not completely fueled by Ranma's tsundere to her, but a great deal of it. Akane's own insecurity, which I find adorable and believable, is a factor as well. Their reason and tsundere-ness towards each other is practically a trope set for future generations after.
