while the best girl is very debatable because almost all of them are very good, I think it is unanimously agreed upon that one of them is not as good as the others, and is in fact,
You seem to have used "waifu" to mean female anime or manga character. Oops!
Don't worry, I've got your back. I suggest that you should learn what it means, by lurking more. Alternatively you could visit a a website more suited to your kind, for example r/anime.
Megumi > Izumi > Utaha > Eriri >= Michiru
Blessing a best, just like her name.
The rest are all good too, except for Erishit.
>Otaku tends to focus on who is the writer (Utaha) and illustrator (Eriri) of the VN
>Meanwhile the backbone behind the VN is left in the shadows, the programmer that codes for the game
>Megumi did coding for the VN
>Without Megumi, the VN wouldn't even be released for the otakus to talk about the writer and illustrator
Megumi is truly a blessing in disguise and an unsung heroine
Eiri ruined his school life.
Cousin chucked his figurines and anime into the trash.
So it looks like Utaha is the only one left who hasn't done anything wrong.
Megumi is easily the best girl. Even more so after reading the novel summaries.
Utaha best gril
I can't even dislike eiriri that much because she's rather realistic, women can be dumb in real life like that. It'd be cute to tame her.
Cousin-chan needs her head examined.
how is this even a contest? It's megumi and not even close.
As the others said, Megumi.
Izumi is daughteru tier.
Utaha is 2crazy.
Michiru is hot but too 3D reminiscent.
Eriri is too much of a hassle and would leave you in the dust when you least expect it.
The anime really overdid her deadpan side. She's a lot more normal in the novels as well.
Can't unheard her voice. It gives me earboners.
Eriri is love and best closet otaku for me. Also, perflat.
>gets mad at someone just because they liked someone else's book more than hers
>abandons her friend
Megumi. She's even my favorite girl of the season.
Sperging out and begging her to go out with me instead.
Kohai > childhood friend >>> senpai >>>>> slut > normalfag
That whole part was funny as fuck.
Utaha > Megumi > Michiru > Eriri > Izumi
Don't even try to argue.
I can agree to this, at least.
I know it won't happen, but that doesn't stop me from having a speck of hope for it ;_;
Volume 1 has probably already reached 10K by now, but we need to wait until Volume 2 and 3 to see how much the event ticket boosted sales. Also, sales don't necessarily mean a second season. Just look at Maou-sama.
speaking of saekano
got a nice surprise in the post today
they're all just too good
I'm just wondering what kind of retarded hamfisted melodrama they add to tomorrows final two episodes to try to trick people into thinking this was some sort of deep introspective show the whole way through and get the BD sales to take off. You absolutely know the show is probably going to try to deliver what it figures will be scene as it's strongest portion since A-1 loves the whole dick around for most of a show and then pretend to give a fuck with the ending approach, I'm just not sure of the angle, only that dumb otaku are sure to fall hook line and sinker whatever it is since this is one of those shows that's made as a love letter to the otaku sub-culture which is kind of all the rage now and what they want to see more of
If there's one thing I've learned though a "strong" ending can magically fix everything that retarded about a show so we'll find out soon enough.
Anyway Utaha had the best design for what little it's worth.
There's a lot of shows that are a hell of a lot better than this tripe that got a second season, though it wouldn't surprise me if it did down the line once the noitaminA block is freed up again or if it goes back to being an hour.
>I'm just wondering what kind of retarded hamfisted melodrama they add to tomorrows final two episodes to try to trick people into thinking this was some sort of deep introspective show the whole way through
Where do people get this retarded idea that Saekano tries to be deep? In the end, it's just a romcom. It's a very good romcom, and personally I feel that it's one of the best I've seen, but it doesn't aim for anythig higher. Sure, it's got some meta humor here and there, but that's not even the main point of the show.
No, it's just one guy who constantly spouts this conspiracy on who anything Aniplex makes sells. Sure they put event tickets to make sales, but of course a producer wants their stuff to sell. And considering how there's Nanana, Zankyou no Terror, and Samurai Flamenco, Aniplex isn't even a guarantee of success. I don't really care either way for Aniplex, they've made complete shit like Aldnoah Zero but they've also made Saekano.
How do we go from that...
Well, I'm sure you've heard it from other threads, but in the LN Tomoya made an otaku kingdom in his elementary school by working to spread interest in anime to his classmates to try and get Eriri to be friends again. He failed on that part. The anime omits that and makes it seem like Tomoya was traumatized by the whole affair. I don't remember him saying that it took years before he could talk normally with people in the LN.
I've only read Volume 2 and 3, but she came off mostly the same. The anime just doesn't give small details like how she made rape doujins of the heroines of Koisuru Metronome.
As usual, worst girl not pictured.
Best girl will always have haters, anon.
She isn't that boring in the mangas/LN, The anime really really focuses on her deadpan side for whatever reason.
She's pretty goofy, only deadpans when Tomoya says something rude of course.
Yep. Let's see how much of Megumi tomorrow's episodes will deliver.
>Flustered QT in the manga
>No maximum blush
She stopped acting here, everything after is them being friends and Tomoya getting a bit too excited.
It's funny because it's actually the opposite in the show.
What would you do if you got a Valentines day card from Megumi?
>Needs Utaha's script that paints over her original personality to be somewhat interesting
I don't see how someone who can like Setsuna can like Megumi. They're like complete opposites. Setsuna is even kinda a bitch, but in a good and interesting way though.
To the anime's credit, the whole deadpan routine in episode 2 was excellent.
She needed Utaha's script to be the heroine Tomoya needed.
It makes sense because Megumi doesn't know what a heroine is and they point that out multiple times with Megumi saying "I don't even know what you want from me Tomoya"
>I don't see how someone who can like Setsuna can like Megumi
Are you new to these threads?
I've seen some anons claiming that both Megumi and Setsuna are best girls since the earlier weeks, and after having recently watched WA2, I can agree with them.
Well, I just finished the anime, so I don't know what the threads were like. Was Setsuna really that unpopular?
>Saying this when Eriri's fanbase is a lot larger
Come on now, don't toss the word delusional around like that. You're leaving yourself open to get it thrown back at you.
I would feel happy to receive a blessing from the Goddess.
I can't wait for the last episode tomorrow, it's gonna be fun.
Sorry, I'm usually stuck on majority ruling being only relevant thinking. I blame /a/.
I can tell at times, but there have been a lot of valid Megumifags too though, ones who I would very much logically assume would hate Setsuna and the other girls vice versa for the similar reasons.
>More or less 2rd at times, if not third other times behind Megumi
>Not many times larger than 1%
Okay. I suppose you think Megumi is 99%.
Best still even after 11 episodes.
>Handful of Setsuna fans at the time of WA2's airing
>Saenai threads have shown Eriri's fans to be a few notches below Megumi in activity and support in most cases
>Even polls checked in the first few mins shows that
No, I would say a lot bigger. Michiru's fan force is closer to Setsuna's case for the majority of Saenai's airing.
Maybe it's because Megumi and Setsuna share more similarities than you think. Not in character, but in their respective roles in the story.
It helps a lot that I don't automatically assume things like "this character is outwardly unexpressive and nice = uniteresting, boring and bad character" and "this character is manipulative, selfish and driven by emotions = ireedemable bitch, bad character", like most haters for both Megumi and Setsuna think. They're the most interesting characters in their series, for me anyways.
Well, I like Setsuna mainly since she is driven by emotions, causing her to give in to her selfish but pure feelings. Also that she's manipulative and perceptive, but would have those around her take her for someone who's a perfect and innocent sweetheart. But we, the viewers or readers, know that she's anything but perfect. She's the type that can make us feel both sympathetic and understanding in one scene, and disdainful and fault her in another scene. This cycle goes on. She's just that kind of girl. For Megumi, I just don't get the same experience and interesting attraction. Course, this is how I feel for her.
Full image of our goddess is up.
I will never have that huge-ass poster, but this will do it.
I like Setsuna as well. Other than being another Mitcher in design, perhaps my fondness of Eriri is also due to her being the closest thing to Setsuna.
I just went to the archive to check again.
I guess 99%/1% is a kind of an exaggeration but the thread is very pro Kazusa. You guys thought the vile thrown at Eriri was severe? Setsuna got it worse.
Just search for setsuna at the end of 2013 and you can see all the old threads.
It feels like some parts of Setsuna got split into two: being Eriri and Utaha. So that's understandable. Not too surprising, I like those two the most. But even when you put them together, they are only parts that cannot make up the whole that is Setsuna.
Eriri has shown zero quality of self sacrifice so far or an ounce of remorse. It is hard for the viewers to actually to associate her leaving Tomoya as an act that was of the best interest to Tomoya. More so when Tomoya actually tried to build a kingdom for her and she just ignored it. It just paints her off as a selfish bitch.
Kazusa left because she is also setsuna best friend and has a huge guilt hanging over her. Setsuna ideal of them staying together will never work. Kazusa removed herself for everyone sake.
There stood, on top of that hill, a lone girl.
It was a girl whose name I did not know, a girl whom I had not met before.
There was stirring in my heart, a shining premonition, and in that moment......
I fell in love for the second time.
Yes, I had completely fallen in love again.
I could not stop myself from falling in love.
Even if I hurt myself. Even if I hurt her.
Even if the feelings of two people would never come to be......
And so, begins with the new semester, a premonition of things to come.
The anime isn't going to win any points in the adaptation department, that's for sure.
But yeah, of course it isn't self-sacrifice when she did it for herself and Tomoya. Eriri suffered to and because of her stubbornness and pride, so she can't yield to apologizing as if she made the wrong decision. Even though Tomoya made otaku kingdom, Eriri didn't go back due to the fear of risk in a second occurrence of bullying and having to split up with him again, and that's why she stuck to acting coldly to him so he wouldn't get ideas of trying earnest to befriend her.
I respect your tastes for Eriri but I personally enjoy Izumi more.
I respect your taste for Izumi as well /a/non, even though I enjoy Eriri more she is a good girl.
I dunno, I actually like the anime as an adaptation. Sure some things are cut out and some scenes are done differently, but it's pretty much a given since they only have 12 episodes. The whole thing still comes off as quite polished, and I liked some of the changes. For example, in episode 6, it wasn't raining in the LN and they removed the more obnoxious part where Tomoya banged on the cafe window to grab Utaha's attention.
Does anyone know if all the anime episode script is done by the author? In most cases, the author either oversees the scripts done by other writers or has a hand in selective episodes' scripts.
So how come Tomoya isn't wearing the glasses she bought him?
I would have liked the anime adaptation more if they had kept most of Megumi's normal sides and expressions to her.
Sure, she's still best girl in the anime, but she could have been even better.
I know that Maruto did the script for episode 0 and 1. He probably played a big part in the other episodes as well considering how there was no way they could have been that good without him.
But that would have made her more generic. She'd be called an Onodera clone. The bigger focus on the deadpan side was probably on purpose. Oh, and there was an interview with Maruto that said that he wrote up until at least episode 6.
You talk as if she isn't already being called that by shitposters.
Not that I care that much anyway, anime Megumi is still good.
writer-sensei is the best.
although it's really annoying how she keeps calling him Mr. Ethical.
These two are good friends. Fans should follow suit!
Megumi is also a normalfag.
She can't leave her phone.
I like both. I don't get why Megumifags and Eririfags have to hate one another.
>I would very much logically assume would hate Setsuna
That's now how it works anon. Some people just don't have fixation towards certain type of girl.
Megumi and Setsuna are best girls
Eriri is just a polarizing character. She has all the ideal traits that is fitting of the best girl like that vitamin C freak but her personality flaws made her a very hateable character for people to latch on to.
>Megumi says that the real Eriri is someone who will never betray the person she's opened up to, and asks Tomoya to believe in Eriri regardless of the past.
>She believes that Tomoya and Eriri will be able to get over the past and truly mend their relationship.
At least Megumi was right about one thing.
You're my nigga.
Reminder that Megumi is just a nice girl. Even though she hangs out with you and puts up with your antics, she will never love you.
