Last LN and no thread? Come on /a/ you're better than that. Papakiki! thread.
I meant: is marrying your niece (or nephew for that matter) even legal in Japan?
Also, I thought their parents were dead or something? Also, 18 seems to be pretty young for a Japanese marriage.
If you prove you're not blood related I'm guessing it's cool since they're both consenting adults. You can even marry your first cousin, it's pretty common over there to keep it in the family.
>he actually tapped his not daughter
Another father of the year.
Wasn't particularly rooting for anyone, but notTakane was a better fit for him than anyone else. Why the fuck does Japan like ruining perfectly good familial storylines with this shit?
What the actual fuck? Busty senpai was better.
This is like Kono Oneesan all over again.
I just wanted this little slut to be relevant.
So best girl didn't win? What a waste.
What do you expect from a hack author that made the illustrator of Mayoi Neko Overrun so mad that he ragequit and that's why Mayoi Neko Overrun manga got cancelled because the illustrator owned the copyright to the designs of the Mayoi Neko Overrun characters so Yabuki wasn't allowed to draw them anymore and the final few volumes of Mayoi Neko Overrun had a different illustrator for each of its volume with different looking character designs.
Check it out yourself.
Also, looking up this author's bio. I am surprised he is married with children.
I remember reading Mayoi Neko Overrun way back and wondering why the illustrations for the novels kept changing after a certain point. I guess I should have paid more attention as to why that happened.
I bet he was to much of a fag to ever confess until it was to late and then just went along and married his niece.
I bet his bro started fucking Twin-tails and the little kid girl turned out to be a little slut.
So I guess the parents never returned?
Why does everyone keep asking this? I haven't even read the LN but it's such a bad fucking idea. It would completely ruin the entire point of the story. It's essentially the same thing as ending a sci-fi novel with "It was all a dream."
Yes, they even animated this.
>MFW skipped through something
>"but it looks like they're just fine to me."
>being this astoundingly stupid
>my hope for humanity is done
Well done anon. You're so stupid you broke me, ometedo!
I'm a Sorafag myself, but I don't agree with her winning the MC, especially when the story already has me going along with its adopted family theme.
Also, I wasn't in the discussion threads around the time the show aired, but it seems that you guys are drawing counterparts to some characters from idolmaster. Please don't do that.
This is how it should be. But I guess the author is just a pedophile.
There's a difference between being family as husband-wife and being family as father-daughter. The atmosphere of the story is more consistent with the latter, although there are some elements of the former, but those are mostly only from Sora's POV.
Read this like 5 years ago and forgot about it
Would have never thought that she wins, it just feels wrong somehow
Did Reika/Reina or whatever the fuck she was called die?
Or why the fuck didn´t she win when everything pointed to that back then
Also has there ever been a manga/animu with an incest plotline that doesn´t have a complete shit ending?
God damn it Japan, you don't turn father-daughter family relationships into proper romance It's just off putting.
>Parents were dead since the beginning
While that made sense considering the story, it's a real dick move to his sister considering all the shit she went through.
>MC has feelings for best girl
>She reciprocates it
>Shitty generic tsundere #53.781 waltzes in and wins
Well, that's shit. So all that development in the LN with notTakane and him was basically pointless then. I really don't get why they do this other than for a 'shock factor' in the ending.
That's now how your meant to end these types of stories.
pretty much. the whole context of their relationship was father/daughter the entire time for him, but he decides to pull a Usagi Drop on this.
Well, another series completely fucks over nearly every volume of it's development in favor of whatever the fuck kind of ending this is. Jesus christ, how did he just drop NotTakane like that after they both were so far in love with each other? This just doesn't make sense.
>The VN sora's route is the best imo
Not even close.
>Yotsuba and Koiwai get married at the end
So why didn't Raika win in the end if they both confessed to each other in the other LN? I mean, how does it make that kind of insane jump to Sora getting married to him? Oh right, he's an awful writer. Got it.
>Name of the story states he is now their father
>Marries one of his "daughters"
I don't care about incest or pseudo incest ends as long as they're well written or nicely developed throughout the story, but according to most anons in here the author fucked this up.
This is the same shit that happened with OreImo. They conveniently ignore all the incestual undertones and claim it's all platonic love and when the incest end hits them they claim the ending is undeveloped bullshit.
Raika is older than him, so in Japan that automatically disqualify her. If you thought she had any chance of winning, then you need to learn more.
I repeat, in Japan Onee-san are a dead zone. Also, like often the worst girl won.
>They conveniently ignore all the incestual undertones
Sora was into him, not the other way around.
> claim it's all platonic love and when the incest end hits them they claim the ending is undeveloped bullshit.
He only took them in in the first place because he didn't want the sisters split up, so he manned up and tried to become a replacement father. He wasn't like he was rubbing his dick on their asses every night, he was doing his best to raise them right. Read the fucking book, the dreamed of Raika and marrying her in damn near every LN up till the end.
If it's actually like oreimo I don't mind, it was fairly obvious throughout it all that it would end with Kirino.
Does that mean that all the senpaifags in here are delusional Kuronekofag tier?
The thing i started thinking about these "surprise" endings is that i get the feeling the author´s of LN´s especially don´t understand why people would get mad over it and think it´s fine
I and i think most other people that get mad over this kinda shit wouldn´t be mad if the author developed their story and characters in that direction and then it ends that way with a well written conclusion
But more often than not some ending seems to be set in stone that everyone would be happy with and then the author starts rushing and pulling shit out of his ass to make shit more "interesting", shitting on some characters completely in the process or making everyone act completely out of character for it, often somehow managing to ruin the entire series
Prime example of it being Haganai in recent memory besides this one
I never finished the anime nor have I read the manga/LN. But from where I stopped watching, it was headed full blast towards a senpai-end. It made the most sense, but then again, Japan can't do endings for shit.
Did they at least have proper development in that direction? Because all i remember is Sora having a one-sided crush on the uncle while the uncle was just busy trying to keep them up and running while showing romantic feelings towards that senpai of his.
It just shows a lack of caring by the author when they do this. If this had been his intention from the start? Then I'm fine with that ending, but nothing in this alluded to the fact he loved her as a woman, and that's the problem. Asspull endings like this really need to call to attention a writers inability to take care of the story they're writing.
Fuck that ending though, I'd be fine if he didn't end up with anyone than this. I really need to find this last book and find out how they leaped to this kind of conclusion, because this is boggling my mind how far that jump was.
Seems odd after the anime had such a "happy adopted family" vibe with the MC having to do what his sis did and become a father figure at a young age. Kinda fucks the whole theme of the story over when he marries the oldest "daughter" the moment she's done with school.
Maybe they have been leading up to this in the LN. I sure as hell don't know. Wonder how the other family (aunt, uncle) felt about this.
>Did they at least have proper development in that direction?
Why do you think there's so much bitching? Like I said before, it was two novels ago that Raika and him confirmed their love for each other, this is where the problem stems from.
But really, I don't why this is upsetting, he's been proven to be shit at taking care of his story and characters, so fuck. Why should I care so much?
It always was okay. Patience is the key.
>it was always sora's show, don't kid yourself
Yahiro is a good girl, and her route was adorable.
I really want to know how exactly he ends up marrying Sora now.
Did he realize in the span of two volumes that the girl he was going after for all the other volumes, confessed to and who also reciprocated his feelings was only him running away from the desire to bone his niece or did Raika die or NTR him?
I honestly don't care who won this one, I just want to understand why an author would write such a trainwreck or if there were actually enough hints that he was pinning for Sora all along too.
More like he wanted to ride the OreImo wave or some shit, it's atrocious really, then again, this writer is so dumbass that even the Illustrator of one of his jobs was fed up with him.
But he doesn't, or at least didn't, see her in that light at all. Look, the problem I'm having is that if this relationship was developed throughout the series, I'd be fine. But he always maintained his parental role in things, so whatever hoops he had his characters jump through to reach this ending is something else.
But in Oremans case, he never had a female he was solely interested in dating/marrying/havingaswarmwith. And that series at least was blatantly obvious who he was going to end up with.
It's nowhere as fun as watching the NSfags whining and going full damage control but shippers butthurt is still quite entertaining.
I think I need some clarification on this. Raika and Yuuta worked pretty well together, because of how different their personalities were in the books.
Then again, I don't think he really knows either.
I hate when they do this. I know that it's just another wishfullfilment, but at least write it properly.
Make them struggle with their budding feelings for eachother throughout the story, show how the MC's feelings change and how he starts to see her as a woman etc., don't just slap an half-assed incest ending out of nowhere at the end of it.
That or make it pure harem hijinks from the beginning so that I don't feel too much baited when all the comfy family atmosphere does a full 180.
He can't write for shit, so asking that is well beyond him.
This ending for the series would've been fine for me if they would've at least shown in growing from the start. But just popping it on there at the end of the series as a kind of 'Surprise!' moment just can't work.
She was already helping with the kids pretty early on in the series. Yeah, it doesn't make sense. Don't try to make sense of a bad ending, the author made his waifu win in the end.
Apparently Raika is too much work relationship wise if he already has all the kids to take care of too, so his logical conclusion was that the oldest kid, who has a sufficient responsible character, makes a better mate to raise the other kids with when she reaches the appropriate age.
I applaud this author for such a very romantic sounding ending.
Please tell me this is true
This is fucking gold
He can also do the same thing without marrying Sora because they pretty much live together already anyway, and even in the case where MC doesn't choose anyone, it still would have been more consistent with previous material than the Sora ending.
>from the reviews I've read towards the end it was all about Sora and Raika, Raika was the most popular amongst the fans so like the other poster said it wasn't fan pressure. Raika ending would've been the logical choice and if maybe the story had 1 more volume Sora wouldn't have felt so tacked on but all in all I like the ending but it wasn't THAT good. Someone in another thread mentioned there'd be 1 more volume with an alternate ending that would be considered canon as well so I'm guessing Raika ending too.
> Raika was the most popular amongst the fans
>1 more volume with an alternate ending that would be considered canon as well
Hahaha, seriously? If this is true this author is one hilarious hack.
I love it though. It sums up how incapable he is of even making a bullshit ending like this, and sticking with it. He wants all the fans to buy the final volume. So what the fuck is the next one numbered 18.5? 18+? not19?
>Ben-to did a pretty good job with it.
I hate this shit almost as much as harem endings. It makes the author look like an indecisive cunt thats afraid from backlash and has too please every single fucking fan.
Is this a fucking DC multi-verse or what? Pick a girl and stay by your decision.
I was a Senfag but i would have been less mad if the author said "Shaga is the winner" than giving every single girl an ending.
God i hate autism.
But half of the fun I derive from harem LNs comes from silly waifuwars, gloating over a sure win or complaining why the MC has shit taste and didn't choose the right girl. Omnibus ends would ruin that.
Is that really surprising? Why do you think so many of them help write endings with different girls in popular series for the Vita/PSP? 'You're favorite finally wins, just pony up 50 bucks to get that ending you wanted'
Yes but when discussing the series people only give a shit about the canon ending, if >>123025625 is true then both endings are canon and that just comes off as a obvious ploy to get money from his fans
Indeed. What is the point of waifu racing if all the girls win, especially the girl of the fanbase you hate. You can't rub it in and there is no satisfaction about how your girl is superior.
Denpa is the only one I'm aware of that actually did that. I doubt they'd pull that shit off again, but they would probably be doing themselves better at this point.
I have shit taste so I can call shit, and this is shit. Harems generally work until it's really fucking obvious who wins, and Raika won. If he wanted to undo that, he should have spent more than two volumes doing it.
But then you will have to give every girl the same amount of development throughout the story so that a one volume alternate doesn't end up as a half-assed extra to get more bucks.
By that point the MCs will have to be even more spineless undecided faggots than they already are. If you can't decide just make it a harem end and be done with it.
The idea of all the girls getting a route is neat, but cutting out all the moments in their routes is fucking awful.
The characters are good, the show was fucking awful.
>really? why did the author pull the sora end
Bandwagon approach to the ending. See, I have no issue with her winning if the MC didn't spend 16+ volumes lusting after Raika. He never saw Sora as a woman, and just saw her as a family member. I don't give a shit who wins, as long as they develop it. This had none of that.
Stop pushing this shit fagtron, Sora is best girl with best route and Yahiro is and always was an afterthought.
Sora didn't even have a route in the original game. She's on the same FAN DISC that Yahiro is.
They have an age difference of like 4-5 years. Dude was 22-23 at the end so Sora was 18.
It doesn't matter anyway, a lot of people are ass devastated about this whole thing so I bet they are putting bullshit spins on the spoilers to make things worse like what was done with the final volume of Oreimo.
Well, the only thing we really know is that she wins. Haven't really seen any kind like from Oreimo and such so far, just a lot of people asking 'how did this happen exactly?' when it came to those two marrying. I see the bloggers post, but that's all second hand information from what they said, we just need scans of the ln right now.
Like what others said before, cash in on the bandwagon appeal of these kinds of endings. Problem with that is the others had some development at least towards that kind of ending. This, however, had none. Shit, even up to 14/15 he still viewed her as a valuable family member along with the rest. Now she's so valuable he's sticking his dick in her.
Just wait til Arc-V starts showing old franchise characters, Fate Stay night UBW season 2 starts and Digimon Tri starts, /v/ and all sorts will be here.
most don't have a problem, but here's the thing. She isn't a loli when they get married and she wasn't a loli when she came to live with Yuuta. Incest is fine as long as it's developed over the course of the novels, not just tacked on at the end for the sake of bandwagon appeal.
I don't have a problem with people that don't like it because it wasn't developed worth a damn (or they think it wasn't developed worth a damn) I have a problem with fags like >>123029894
I didn't ask for this popcorn to be salted nigga.
I don't see how marrying someone you love (if this is actually love, once again how it was developed matters) ruins a family theme even if she is an adopted pseudo-daughter. I would posit that because she is only a handful of years younger than him a father/daughter relationship could never have existed between them in the first place.
That´s like one post out of 300
Why do you faggots always crash into threads, ignore all other posts beforehand and then complain about something no one was talking about
The final volume isn't scanned or translated yet, how do you know it was poorly handled?
Hell have you been reading the series to know whether they have been tripping flags to each other or not?
Age gap isn't an issues really, it's more of a develop/last minute/ploy to make another book kind of deal. It's nice we might get a Raika ending as well, but it's just funny he can't stick with one ending. Oreimo author pointed to the PSP/Vita game if we wanted a Ruri ending and so on. This series even has a Vita game as well, but there you go.
And it was shown from vol.1, that he wanted to stick his dick in Raika. All the way up to at least 14/15. There's your issue.
>They both love each other
>He refuses for some fucking reason.
Now we know why.
Do you really expect some kind of magical development that is going to fix that? 14 of 16 vol was going to another direction and then this happens, normally I wouldn't mind that much but MC was the one going for the girl, and said girl also liked MC, and now by some kind of magical compatibility that come out of nothing another girl wins, and this girl was just seen as a family member by MC, not the kind of girl he wanna fucks.
It was up till 14/15 for the most part. Then for some reason, he decided notTakane wasn't 'compatible' enough for Yuuta, or whatever the fuck that means.
Even though she is, and they worked well as a couple.
If i ever was asked if i wanted to decide the ending of a harem LN i´d purposely make it the most shit ending of all time, trying to make as many people mad as possible, and maybe hopefully finally killing the whole genre to break it out of the shit it´s in for decades now
Something like this for a setting
>2 girls one guy
>first girl is dere childhood friend
>second one is a tsun-slut
>MC goes for first girl until the last volume with a shitload of moments together
anyways, my ending would be
>the last volume picks up after a cliffhanger confession of the dere friend that resulted in hand-holding and mutual love
>first thing in the last volume is that Mc decides that he always loved tsun girl out of nowhere
>leaves dere girl standing who´s trying not to cry and she says to him that it´s okay
>Mc confesses to tsun-slut a day after he finds her getting railed by an old friend of hers
>dere girl had an accident and lost both legs, last shot of her is her sitting in a wheelchair by her window from behind
>MC lives together with Tsun-slut, her old friend and 3 children she has together with the old friend
>Mc never get´s any and sleeps next door while she get´s gangbanged by sixty niggers
>He goes to work 12 hours a day to be able to pay for the rent and everything else
>Last shot is of the Mc lying in his bed, staring up to the ceiling with dead eyes
Well, technically there is. Sora was his sisters step-child. Still making him her uncle by marriage. Death doesn't change that.
I'm all for it, or whatever ending they want, as long as it has a decent root to it. Not a one volume rushfest that even the Sorafags can't enjoy.
There are shitposters who actually want to ruin every Yahari thread that pops up as if it's their mission in life or something.
It's impossible to have a decent discussion unless you take refuge in the LN threads. I can't imagine how much backpedaling there's going to be when it ends.
>There are shitposters who actually want to ruin every Yahari thread
Replace yahari with every relatively popular airing anime thread and you'd still be right. That's just the ugly nature of this board.
>nee-sans never win
this isnt a world I want to live in
this just doesnt feel right
Eroge is the true path of a Nee-san lover anon.
As was demonstrated in the imouto v nee-san thread from a few days ago, nee-san fags don't care what nee-san actually means, it can be any girl that they can loosely attribute the term too ergo Sora is a nee-san both by definition and by attitude (towards Miu and Hina).
Or do you want her to be a cowtitted non related childhood friend like 99.99999% of all other "nee-sans" that you faggots post?
Character perspective is irrelevant, actual literal definitions are all that matter. You don't hear imouto fags holding up random loli characters that MC-kun once said "she's like my imouto" about.
Also with me ceasing my shitposting I can confidently say this
Imouto wins again nerds. I posit that Sora was more of an imouto instead of a daughter due to the very small age gap between them.
>you're a normalfag for being sick of bullshit writing purely for the sake of otaku bait in a medium saturated with it
Jesus fuck you guys, maybe I wanted to watch a touching story of taking 3 children in and the hardships of it. Although I guess it's my fault for letting myself get disappointed
>expecting a not shit ending in LN/manga/animu
It´s always either an asspull, completely rushed shit cause it didn´t sell or the author stretches the story out so fucking much that about halfway through nobody gives a shit anymore when it ends
I'm kinda mad that he married his "niece" because when I watched the anime I really felt that they were his daughters and would never see them as a lover. Even when that pervert friend would say something about the girls I actually felt weirded out. The show just did not give me vibes of a harem.
nee-san fags care about perspective for what it says about the character, and how it colors their interactions with the mc
imouto fags just care about >muh taboo
nee-san fags actually have taste
>This is the same shit that happened with OreImo.
No it didn't. People didn't complain about the incest, they complained about Kirino just being an incredibly unlikeable heroine and the drama being incredibly poorly written.
>being an incredibly unlikeable heroine and the drama being incredibly poorly written.
That was my whole problem with it. And the first few volumes didn't feel heavy on the incest at all; only after that model got introduced and the whole thing about the Olympics happened did it feel like Kyousuke was going to out and out fuck her.
>didn´t get a single doujin with that god tier girl cast
Can´t we trade 1/2 half of kancolle´s hentai for something else that doesn´t have them?
Even as much as I like Lim, I can't ignore how awful even the LN is.
Lim still a cute.
Nope, after Tigre and the amnesia bullshit they did, it's full sail for main girl victory.
Yet another Japanese franchise with interesting character designs but a shit story.
Oh, it's even better. He falls in love while he has amnesia as well, right? As soon as he gets his memory back of who he is, there's not so much as a chapter of him letting her down gently. He just fucking bolts after saying his quick 'I'm sorry' to her. Dropped it immediately at that point.
Haven´t read 10 yet, but i can´t believe that
Why the fuck would the author go for main girl only if it seemed to be one of the very few ln´s where everything pointed to a harem end and it could actually work
It all started to go to shit with the amnesia bullshit, and i really liked the earlier ones
>Why the fuck would the author go for main girl only if it seemed to be one of the very few ln´s where everything pointed to a harem end and it could actually work
I don't even know. And I don't think any of them would really even mind either, so it's just all on how the author wanted. I mean, how many series even do full harem endings? Tenchi and a few other smaller series?
Eh, i just looked through 10 and 11 spoilers, and while the whole amnesia "arc" was not only unnecessary and shit from start to finish, it certainly didn´t turn into Elen only. He returned to her in the end, but that was a given from the start
It still is on for the harem route as far as i can tell
Although i hope the author get´s back on track with the preamnesia quality stuff, otherwise this will go to shit pretty fast
It´s not that bad, it seems worse than it actually is if you haven´t read the 11´s spoiler because the author is an overly dramatic faggot
The author just wrote it like they´ll never see each other again, when they meet again already in the first chapter of the next volume
>8 year gap
He would have just needed to wait longer then. There really isn't anything creepy about a 20 year old dating a 28 year old, the older you get the more those age gaps don't matter anymore
>mc is pumping their daughter for hours in the wedding night
>while they have to watch all of it
I watched it already?
Not really mad, the author can pair up anyone he wants. Just wish they'd make it seem like he was actually interested in her as a woman before the last novel.
Or this is all the ghosts dreaming in the after life of a possible outcome. This shits deep.
>Anime adapted ONE fucking volume
>OVAs skipped a shit ton of stuff; didn't even bother introducing the new characters
>Ending is bullshit
It didn't have to be this way.
