Where were you when Japan won WWII?
Mid-2ks or so?
Ah, no, looks like it was 2010. Unless I've got the wrong princess.
>In early March 2010, Aiko began to stay home from school due to being bullied by her elementary school classmates.
That's not Build Fighters Try.
And no, Kancolle was good at what it did. It knew what its fans were expecting, and thoroughly delivered.
EDOTS too. Been playing it in my guitar routine and all.
Your history teacher was most likely a kike that was either ignorant or willingly brainwashing you.
Both Hitler AND Goring wrote that they had great respect for the japs. The exact opposite can be said about the jews, the nigs and the gypsies (which were the 3 main races persecuted by the nazis):
I honestly doubt it, maybe in the long run maybe but Germany barely had a fleet and I think the Japanese has more discipline then the Germans.
But depending on resources and development between the two countires, then yeah Germany might have won.
At ruining a franchise?
At being infinitesimally inferior to its first season?
At having the 2 MCs most hated by its own fandom in history?
Though I guess, yeah, Gundam is all about the annoying as fuck characters (ask Zeta and ZZ) and Build Fighters S1 was a hell of a fluke in that aspect, and Try went back to that with a rage, so if you see such a thing as being "good at what it did", sure. Still a shit though.
that's what philip kindred dick said too.
Try wasn't great, it wasn't bad either but it suffered a lot of issues, two boring MC's, the whole particle infusion thing Sekai did made all of the fights in the last half of the show pretty one-sided, and Fumina was just an excuse to have a more relevant fan service character in the series.
Try was an utter let down after GBF.
This is hyperbole and exaggeration. Try wasn't very good but it was not as bad as your making it out to be.
>Japan has more discipline then the Germans
You mean that time honored bushido culture bullshit that lets junior ranking officers intentionally become disobedient and ignore their superiors orders in the name of YAMATO DAMASHII which the IJA is particularly notorious for?
Or how the Kuwatang Army never once recongized the authority of IJA HQ generals or executive staff when they didn't like orders they were told such as not picking fights with the Soviets? Sure thing.
>none of the planes in the series suicided into enemies
Midway was an attempt to fix the mistakes made at Pearl Harbor, both if executed properly would still have been no more than delay tactics.
They were still waging war against their primary supplier of repair buckets and bauxite, and gambling on a string of improbable successes t make up for that.
Amusing how Nazi Germany and their alleged "Third Reich" held the Japanese in high regard for being a proud ninja/samurai warrior race, and yet also fought against an island of white people whose country once legitimately held an actual empire.
Of course, Hitler also wanted to build colossal land tanks the size of an entire firebase, so question the backwards thinking of most of those in command (saying "most", since his commanders are who also prevented Hitler from wasting time and resources on such impractical projects).
Also: Your history teacher a implying shit. Anything in history can happen if you add the qualifier "If". If the Axis won, you wouldn't get a cute Nippleland anime like KanColle about boat girls fighting the fate of a repeated history. YEAH.
Well if Hitler's aims are what I have been informed they were, then the Reich would have perhaps been occupied with what was left of the Soviet Union beyond the Ural Mountains.
I was pissed off at first being denied my dark/edgy ending i had longed for, then all the cute shit made it somewhat better (and remembering how the whole shit went down in the end irl!)
>and yet also fought against an island of white people whose country once legitimately held an actual empire.
Britain declared war on Germany, not the other way around. France too.
It didn't have to be dark and edgy to be "good"
There were many ways to execute the same ending but they chose one of the worst.
Either the whole production staff is incompetent or kadokawa staff intervened way too much and ruined it like you'd see in shirobako
Unless Hitler was assassinated and Germany and Japan had won their wars against the US and UK, Hitler is quoted as verbatim, "Now we can not lose. The Japanese have never lost a single war in history."
He considered them the Aryans of the Far East the same way he had friendly views and respect for Croatians in the Balkans and Persians in Western Asia.
Well, yeah, I know that of course. Considering the political rhetoric before-the-fact that caused the British and French to take the rising threat the Nazis posed to most of Europe seriously though, the coincidental superiority complex was bound to conflict one way or another regardless of who fired the first shot. The British just happened to hate their hateful neighbors more than the Nazis hated most of the world.
So was stealing the Midway ever an option to consider ?
>The second ship, KONGO, had stopped and was now dead in the water. Eli headed for her to finish the job but before we reached shooting range she blew up in one tremendous bang. The destroyer alongside her, presumably assisting, went down from the explosion as well. The explosion was so great Eli described it later as a sunset at midnight.
So, how many of the shipgirls in this pic survive IRL?
Hibiki survived and became Russian, Nagato was taken by the Americans and nuked twice.
World sentiment towards Germany was supportive at its best and cautiously pessimistic at worst. Hell even America thought they were pretty cool guys for a while until the Jewish propaganda machine was in full swing. That's when they got the image of evil baby killing monsters.
The countries they made land grabs against didn't like them, but that was just because of the territorial dispute.
The whole thing is tied back to WW1, and goes back further still. At the end of WW1, the Jewish community in Germany tried to do what the Jewish community in Russia was doing. They started a civil war with the aim to overthrow the government and establish a communist regime and while Germany was imploding, the allied powers just watched it burn. Germany came out of that bitter and bruised, they hated the Jews for the war they caused and they were angry at the allied powers for cutting up and divvying out their clay and making them pay so much for a war that Germany didn't even start. Germany moved to defend Austria-Hungary from western aggression and at the end of the war they were treated like everything was all their fault, which fostered a mindset of "fuck you guys, we don't need you, give us back our shit and leave us the fuck alone."
And it was all because of Jewish influence in Europe.
>inb4 back to /pol/
the world would be a better place in the long run.

those kids got balls i give them that.
>The whole thing is tied back to WW1, and goes back further still. At the end of WW1, the Jewish community in Germany tried to do what the Jewish community in Russia was doing. They started a civil war with the aim to overthrow the government and establish a communist regime
Don't forget how the united world jewery, including the german jews, were the ones who made America go into WWI, after making Britain promise they would give them the Palestine area if they made America go into the war, and Britain came out with the Belfour Declaration.
Every american should REALLY read Alison Weir's Against Our Better Judgement.
Yeah, America was largely uninvolved but their sentiments leaned more towards the central powers like any rational country, and then bam, anti-German propaganda fucking everywhere and them suddenly Germany's accused of trying to get Mexico to invade the US.
>Never forget that the bad guys won WW1
And after the drunks wake the Airfield up with their feuding.
The origins and the backstory of the shipgirls varies between what manga/anime/game. The game girls make reference to how they got sunk as its often the most prominent historical fact known about them.
30 years ago Japan wasn't above making a game where you play an American plane shooting down waves of fighters and destroying the Japanese Navy singlehandedly at Midway.
Kancolle is less 1943: Battle of Midway and more 19XX and Strikers 1945 with their notices of:
>This story is fictional and is in no way related to any historical or future war.
Anyone has the webm were Fubuki is compared between her file photo and pic related?
What was left of the Combined Fleet when the Kamikaze raids started?
Sorry, My mistake, i made a mistake in my choice of wording, I meant more fanatical.
The German army is disciplined but will take heavy loses especially if the Germans try to do an island hoping plan
The Germans were not completely blameless either.

It is confirmed by a signed affidavit of a German officer given to a German board of inquiry.
Yes, the war crimes in Belgium were used and sometimes exaggerated by Allied propaganda, but it does have a factual basis.

Well, I guess I tried.
It's webm file where her profile photo is seen first and then moves to reveal this face.
Kongou was one of the main characters. Kirishima had a couple episodes where she got to MIC check and act as announcer like in the DesDiv 6/Curry contest episode.
Hiei showed up a few times after the opening episode, Kongou sister episodes, and in the Fubuki PTSD episode after Poi gets her Kai Ni remodeling.
Haruna has the least presence or speaking lines of all the sisters, doesn't say daijoubu even once in the anime, and only has the first episode really going for her with killing a Wo with her twin.

So the least popular/most disliked episodes besides the finale were Yamato's, Zuikaku's, Poi's, and Kaga/Zuikaku's?
They made a fuss over how badly Kisargi's death was and how forced it was hamfisted, not that her character being killed off itself was an issue.
It was also a very bad episode even without Bucky hijacking it. One of the things I heard from Pixiv is that Mutsuki not even being explained to the audience unfamiliar with the game as being pure expedition class is never actually addressed.
>an episode about Poi's Kai Ni that had everyone excited
>let's make it centered on Fubuki feeling inadequate and petty
Every right for Poi episode to be most hated, even with episode 3 in comparison
They should just commission studios like Sunrise, Dogakabo, Bones, Mad House, Shaft, KyoAni, Satelight, etc...to do different shows based around sister ships of various classes in various genres.
So, what was the meaning of this scene?
It's Kisaragi's right?
And what would that mean?
The Nazis redefined "victory" constantly, even before they started to get their asses kicked.
They were unreliable and untrustworthy, so in scenarios where they aim to dominate the world, sure.
It is Kisaragi's. And we don't know its meaning yet. There was some lines about "Give it back" before the girls go back. It either means that the Abyssal wants the hair clip back (and it was Kisaragi), or it wants the girls to take the hair clip back to someone.
How dreadful but I'm still going to watch it.
Or you could also be less retarded and check out Diomedea's twitter for their staff, and even their own animators shit-talking how screwed up the adaption was and the amount of shittalking the fans are giving to Kuzakawa and Hanada's accounts.
When we're talking about sales in the 10k region, an online poll with some 600ish participant is hardly representative. And haters tend to be the most vocal.
So I'm still waiting for some evidence about that 99% or you're one of the assblasted retards who are blowing this out of proportion
Worst part is the average retard still probably thought the anime was good with its retarded fanservice and shitty melodrama.
Just taking a glance at MAL and the facebook tier faggots has me sick.
So you're basically what you're accusing him of.
If you're tired of the shitflinging and find the anime good, then discuss it and explain why it's not as bad as people say it is. Rather than posts like
>I don't give a fuck this anime was good you're all fucking edgy haters!
that people who defend the show keep spouting, making most of said people sound like they're from /v/ or some other site.
I'm not finding it good, not by a long shot. I was even raging and considered dropping this after ep 3.
But it fulfilled what I expected of it. Those were: to see my girls animated and to have some fun to turn my brain off after a long day. I just don't understand what some people expected. If you're in for historical accuracy, coherent story or drama, you shouldn't look at the animated "ad" of a flash game.
>If you're in for historical accuracy, coherent story or drama, you shouldn't look at the animated "ad" of a flash game.
If you're going to do something do it well, if you're just going to completely half-ass it just don't bother.
If we just got ten episodes of SoL hijinks with ten minutes of combat preparation in each, building up to a single final showdown and a TO BE CONTINUED people wouldn't be whining about how the drama was shit.
I agree with that part that's why I mentioned ep 3. They should have steered clear of that shit to begin with.
But still, the meymey spam, 4-5 maxed threads every 2 hours for half day with the same idiots spamming reaction images and shit like that 99% above gets annoying after a while. And if you dare to mention that you had fun watching it you get called out for shit taste. On /a/ of all places.
No one really cares save for /k/.
>coherent story or drama
This is not a difficult thing to accomplish. No one here expected some Shakespearean masterpiece. Just something that worked.
>having standards is bad
I just don't know what to say. When you dwell in this line of thought you set up everything in your life for mediocrity and shit.
Again, no one expected or wanted the anime to be some masterpiece. What people wanted was some development to characters that were kept back by the online game where you can only draw from their lines, and instead we got said lines regurgitated back in a terrible fashion. People wanted good action scenes and actual animation, instead we got lazy shots of the girls shooting and standing still. People wanted a story and world a bit more expanded on and none of that was given.
Everything about the anime was terribly done. It's not even the fact that they followed all the cliches and formulas of every anime/movie/show ever, it's that they did it in awful fashion. Diomedia and staff want to make a generic anime? Fine, go for it. At least do it right though.
>you shouldn't look at the animated "ad" of a flash game.
You're pretty much saying people shouldn't have any standards or expect anything decent here because the show is just promo for the game.
Why does everything have to be literal for you?
Honestly one of the main charm points that's lost in the anime, which is a signature part of both the game and the official 4koma is that in both of those, the ships actually know their own history. It's a promised land of both dramatic and joke material.
When I first started playing Kancolle I went to the library and checked out like thirty books on Imperial Japan and the Pacific War over the course of a few months.
I said that they should've had low expectations for THIS show to begin with especially after the first few episodes knowing what the source material and production intent is. That's not the same as saying people should not have standards at all.
Again, on /a/, we have a whole spectrum of anons with different standards.
That's why I keep coming back to this shithole even after 8 years to discuss annie-may with you, fags. 80% of my anime related pleasure comes from /a/
So, who's cuter, Dechi or umi no snipah?
Iku, hachi and yuu are on another level
Honestly if you take away the history of, say, 6th DesDiv, they're just four girls with dumb personality quirks: failed lady, kind girl, tomboy and спасибо. Which is fine if all you really wanted from the show is meme girls doing meme things. (After the fact we can see that the people who expected more, such as myself, were delusional tards.)
But some people actually liked the fact that Hibiki was the phoenix rising from the ashes and the last survivor of the 6th DesDiv, that despite Akatsuki being a fucking poser she manned (ladied) up and fired up her searchlights when it counted, and Ikazuchi ran a rescue operation in the Java Sea at great personal expense. If you actually don't give two shits about the history then the game itself is just a dreadfully boring girl combat simulator.
>especially after the first few episodes knowing what the source material and production intent is.
They produced something that made the official manga and most doujinshi look like composition masterpieces.
Its Diomedea, the studio that gave us Mondijitachi. The expectations from them on top of having one of the Nanoha directors in it was hoping for a decent action-series that would flesh out some of characters who LNs and various manga works haven't had the chance to touch on yet.
The anime was disjointed, convoluted, bad CGI renders and models, and the final episode was even worse to the point most of the rankings on Pixiv, Nico Nico, and other sites have pinned it as the nail in the coffin for the anime's failing.
The only hope here with season 2 is that Diomedea and Kadokawa picked up on said failings and avoid them for the sequel season.
> is it worth checking out?
No, unless you want to surrender your life to tanaka
Of course Goya, she's the cutest. Shioi comes a good second. I like Ro-chan a lot too.
Why Kisaragi had to sink? Why her ribbon appears now? What was that voice saying give it back? Give back what? Was Kisaragi the Wu? Was that her voice? Why the duel between Fubuki and the Wu was offscreen? Too many questions unanswered.
>The anime was disjointed, convoluted, bad CGI renders and models
I give you that but as mentioned earlier I didn't expect the show to be any good. I expected it to be bad but fun. And it (mostly) did deliver on the latter.
I hope the next season will stay clear of any traces of drama. It could have a much better "flow" should they stop trying to balance between sol and deep.
We will know more in S2. Speculah has it that wo kai2 was Kisaragi.
It didn't deliver much fun outside of episodes 1, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8. I wasn't expecting the CGI to be great but wrong models and incomplete renders is a bit too much.
Shit like having Kirishima take off her glasses was also terrible. Hanada should have nothing to do with the second season hopefully.
At this point they should just run away with the whole train and reveal that Kongou's accent is fake as fuck.
>Kongou's smashes her shin on the steps as she's running up the stairs
>ITA! CHIKUSHOU! ITAIIIII -
>notices Fubuki looking at her from across the room
>clears her throat and starts over
>FAKKU! I HIT MY SHIN!
ayy http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Konpeki_no_Kantai https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X5vIGnk3XJ8
So, how long until I get my cute girls on subs anime? I want it so so fucking bad. Just image Das Boot but with a crew of cute girls instead, would easily be the greatest thing ever.

>In this alternate history, Yamamoto uses his advanced knowledge of the future, combined with now superior technology of the Japanese navy, to ensure that the strategy and outcome of the attack are considerably different from the actual events which occurred
