After the anime ended, shall we slow down and enjoy the manga/LN while waiting the S2 coming?
S2 for Tenryuu time.
Is it time to try and confuse the fairy with cheap disguises ?
Did anyone even learn anything from Ashigara ?
Someone's still upset.
Torpedo Has poi'd my sight Poi'd my speech Poi'd my hearing Poi'd my arms Poi'd my legs Poi'd my soul Left me with poi in hell
>Nagato and Ooi CQCing abyssals
welp. I guess Tenryuu's sword makes some sense now. Though I don't know what it's supposed to represent in her original armament.
No, she's a sweet girl.
This guy takes his Kirishima seriously.
Hey, who sunk my battleship
Hey, I sank my battleship
Hey, who sunk my battleship
Hey, I sank my battleship!
Her armaments were old and had to be hand loaded.
Shall we begin the party?
So whoever linked me the tutorial, I just listened to it, and it doesn't explicitly mention WWII, or that Kancolle is set after it, anywhere, unless it was too subtle for my level of Japanese.
The sword? I was wondering why she has the damn eyepatch.
I did my own googling and turned up some other discussions where they said searchlight removal/relocation was buried somewhere in her repair logs.
Last time I asked why it wasn't on the wiki, someone said that it was because the wikia is the first google result and it's shit. I asked them what to use and they said the wikiwiki... which turns out is in Japanese only with no english version just like the game itself.
Oh sweet, my Yukikaze crop made it in there.
You have been a very bad TTK and as such you need to be punished.
>When you noticed your post included there.
I've been under the impression that many fans in both hemispheres were not impressed with the results of the final episode.
All this translating of each other's reactions reminds me of one of those sexually tense relationship where both parties clearly like each other but won't just fuck already. I wonder who started translating reactions (not just Kancolle) first, them or us?
>Japan also 4chan also reaction It's the same interesting
well she obviously took them off so she could see behind her when she closed her eyes.
Did I have a stroke and its 2008? This is still a thing?
>what year is it?
>how old am I?
>why is this still a thing?
>why am I hungry?
my clairvoyance didn't take me that far anon
She's secondary bait. Only appears in 1 official game as an extra boss but somehow liked by people that never played it because she's le psycho girl.
Kinda like poi-girl
Please go back to Imas universe, Glasses Fairy.
>tfw wow with Kongou
>tfw everytime I fire my guns "BURNING LOVEEEE"
>tfw eveything I say is Kongou Dess
All I get is nothing but rage in the chat
An anime where the admiral just runs around sexually harassing the girls might have done as well as this, but only because the admiral could have been a literal cardboard cutout and still have done better than this.
The best way to pander to /u/ would be either to have a female admiral or an admiral who just acts professionally while the girls go at it with each other, proving once and for all that the mere presence of a male in the room doesn't cause girls series-wide to lose to dick.
Reminder that BBs used to have the arty reticle from WoT. BaBBy players are the sky cancer of WoWS, they are the ones that fire RNG bullshit from way outside your range. You can actually try to avoid planes if you don't get tunnel vision.
Go marry one, or two, or all of them in-game then and have your in-game admiral speak to them.
>least RNG dependent
>need to go closer to do more damage
It's like you don't play CVs.
And then there's people like >>123107775 who are in denial. BaBBies are at it again.
>Akatsuki smoking in my base.
Scrapped at the speed of Shimakaze
Secondaries hated it because it wasn't historically accurate and they didn't get the jokes/references because they didn't play the game. Kancolle players didn't like it because of the forced drama which was supposed to be close to comical in the game
The mix between drama and comedy was not well executed. Many plot developments seemed (or were) dumb. Some people were hoping for their favorite ships to get more characterization or screentime. The battle animations were sub-par.
I'm sure somebody else can sum it up better than I can.
Reminder that Tanaka is the one who responsible to make the anime into /u/ according to one of the writers.
No dude, you've pretty much summed it up. The only thing I can think of that's missing is the hamfisted game voiceover usage (forcing that is NOT proper characterization, Diomedea) and the shadow-teitoku.
Ramming speed in a BB is always fun as they try to stop the rape bus and fail.
I tried to avoid biases, but the end was fucking garbage, cringe worthy. I should've known better.
I thought Fubuki was shitty, but Akagi raised the bar to a new level, I was so hyped for her, for some reason that's what I think the show was trying to achieve, but her performance was awful. Yamato was pretty underwhelming too.
Didn't mind the lesbians, Kongou a cute as always, Taihou was cool, the akatsuki class showed up, also Nagato's buttfangs, Airfield Princess, TTK, etc. Redeeming qualities of an overall disgusting episode, IMHO.
She would be the perfect female admiral.
Thank you based Tanaka. Now have the Sabagebu writer fix it so it's actually funny.
>japs unironically wishing for Urobochi to rewrite it
Fans truly are the worst enemies of a fanchise.
Hype time? Hype time.
You must be fucked in the head or something.
>Let's get Urobochi to kill everyone and make this about grimdark suffering.
Tbh, I wouldnt mind that. I mean, they killed Kisaragi and nobody died in the last episode, what was the purpose of Kisaragi's death then? im mad that I didnt get to see kaga raped.
I think because in the anime, it's just cliche as fuck and makes Butcher look more like he's just rehashing his ideas. In the game, it's more like your shadow or inner demon you are facing.
I won't scatter your sorrow to the heartless sea
I will always be with you
I AM, like, THE NIGHTMARE OF SOLOMON and some junk. FEAR ME, okay?
ohhh admiral tonda, stronkest
would be nice if there was also deco admiral and hetero admiral
There's honestly quite a few, really. Meshing those art styles would be pretty difficult if actually every artist drew themselves, though.
Teitoku afks to some place and shows up last minute, doesn't do jackshit and doesn't even bring souvenirs, truly kuso. Also what was up with the kung-fu and drop kicking in episode 12?
Why did Taihou do nearly nothing? I was expecting a Musashi to show up in her place, with a cheesy line like "I've returned from the depths" or something like that. Before anyone asks, the abyssal destroyers didn't dare to touch Ooi or super-KTKM because Diomedia doesn't have to balls to kill either of them off.
WHY DID THEY MAKE KONGOU LOOK LIKE SHIT
Why did Kirishima take off her glasses
Character Design. Also based Poi. Yuudachi kept her cool and went strong through the entire fight in the end, made everyone else, especially the carriers, look like complete wimps.
This one is kinda new, but I really like him too. The fabulous admiral is great too.
>>Kisaragi dies in Ep 3; ratings take a nosedive.
>>Major plot points:
>>Airfield Princess was Kisaragi
>>Not explored more.
>>No Anavel Gato reference from Poidachi.
I don't give 10 fucks. The Urobucher should just redo Season 1 of Kantai and fuck all your moms.
Speaking of fabulous admiral, his artist's male art style is pretty similar to Nozaki's to begin with.
Don't forget kuso teitoku.
and I forget the image
isn't this the same admiral with the I think that was akigumo?
so because of these things, people are not just indifferent, but actually upset there is an S2 on the way?
I wanted to see some navel warfare between these two.
That guy's artstyle is dangerous
>A wave of videos starts appearing on Nicovideo of people inserting themselves into the gaps of the anime where the the admiral speaks.
>The video of the cute girl cosplaying as an admiral gets more views and positive comments than the mouth-breathing heavyset fatasses.
>Tanaka appointed director-for-life and the /u/-boat continues to go to uncharted depths.
I'm actually indifferent, I thought the show was okay and could have been done better. It did have it's moments though.
where the fuck was kiso fucking nyan cruiser gets in and not kiso?
I didnt forget him, just didnt mention because I tought he was pretty popular already.
You mean this?
Nightmare TTK a best
Another good one would be the red TTK, but I cant remember the artisst.
That's not sufficient reason to be upset, the reason people are upset is because a studio and staff that evident demonstrated they lack both the means and ability to make a proper adaptation have been given a green-light to do the exact same thing, again. It shows Kadokawa doesn't give a shit.
Any other studio picking up Season 2 would have at least given everyone the hope that things might improve.
Yes, because we're worried it's going to be a repeat, or, somehow, even worse.
Which is exactly why you never hear or see TTK, so lonelyfags can self-insert and /u/fags can insert a lesbo.
They went full pandering and the show suffered because of it.
Am I the only one who liked how the Admiral was someone you never saw or heard? He was kind of like Charlie from Charlie's Angels, only easy to self insert as.
I wish I wasn't bad at the game. I can do all the hard pc and console games like it's nothing, but strategy and cute girls doing cute things are the two genres I just can't do well.
>The video of the cute girl cosplaying as an admiral
>gets more views and positive comments
>mouth-breathing heavyset fatasses
I'm wondering who's giving her more views and positive comments.
Seriously. Who do you think P(L)AYS games like these?
The fact that they already had the S2 announcement prepared shows that they don't give a fuck about how well make it is they just want to milk the hardcore my-shipfu-is-in-it-so-I-must-buy-it fags and casuals as much as possible
I do think there was a way to play that off well, even if I don't personally like it. If the Admiral had not played such an important role in moving events along and making arbitrary decisions, it's possible the end result would not have looked so awkward.
It would've been fine if he were also utterly absent, it's just incredibly awkward as it is to have people constantly talking directly to the face of and taking orders from some retarded shadow who literally goes deus ex machina at the end.
>I wish I wasn't bad at this game.
Oh, come on man, the hardest part of this game is the time you have to put in.
The anime was never about Blue-ray sales or ratings, it was just a over bloated advertisement for the merchandise. Apparently, since it did its job and Kancolle merch went through the roof. Kadokawa is just doing the logical thing and hope for another homerun with a S2.
Credit where credit is due, the character songs and OST are both solid, if unspectacular products. The new anime-inspired Akatsuki MMD models have improved those 6DesDev MMDs quite a lot too.
Frankly, I believe the longevity of Kancolle is most likely going to be on how new characters are going to be received. I'm guessing the new "foreign" ships that are going to appear in the future is probably a reaction to how loved the German fleet girls are.
At least we have this to look forward to this week.
I guess the data leak was because of this abyssal Kisaragi then?
I still dont get it, who did they fuck up the adaptation so much?
TTK enters wth a starter, he gets Tenryuu/Tatsuta/Naka as his first craft, they learn the hard ways of world 1, then BURNING LOVE appears, muh reppuu slut not too far off, etc. Iit wasnt that difficult.
Watched first season, story got me more interested than the fanservice.
Why is it always like this? Tit shows get the best story and the serious one are bad.
>Magical girls with a machine gun and maybe a bomb or two
>vs. Magical girls with 120mm guns at the weakest
In-universe, there's no real reason to choose a strike witch over a shipgirl.
>I guess the data leak was because of this abyssal Kisaragi then?
Definitely better than the idea that some underwater zombie factory was actually cracking Japanese codes. Seriously, did they have to hamfist the WW2 allegories that badly?
I almost dropped SW after the first episode because of the ass and vulva shots, not really that much of a lolifag.
But I am glad I didn't, its the characters that make SW so great. Truly a show where all girls are best girls
>one page of some fanwork is better than the entire last episode
Are they going to fire the staff yet?
I could have sworn I had a sc of Bucky going "I want to protect everyone!" but I guess not. Just pretend I posted it and mocked you
Honestly Mutsuki's recovery was good, the alternative was 23 minutes of melodrama instead of Kongou. A quiet period of reflection and a good cry followed by recovery is a more realistic version of mourning than the melodrama we usually get in anime, I think.
So cute. Everything about her is absolutely perfect.
I can't wait to buy a ring for her.
>not liking Yoshi
>not bowing to the superior ass technology of Fuso
An OVA for Taihou gonna be great.
youre waifu getting sunk by a fighter piloted by a guy named Hammering Hank.
If S2 has the Abyssals as the main characters I will forgive everything that Diomedea did during S1.
To a degree you could say yes to that BUT it is really hard to quantify how much those sales are due to the anime. Kancolle was already a huge product with plenty of merchandise, fans and companies buying into it. Character songs could be made, and already had been made, before and without the anime, Kancolle was already everywhere in Japan before the anime, big figure makers had already bought in before the anime.
Has the anime actually added anything new to be made into merch? Not really. Game characters, game poses, game relationships mostly. Considering the feedback from the anime is largely negative in Japan it's more likely that the same merch would have sold without the anime being made.
Of course that doesn't factor in all the Western secondaries finding out about Kancolle through the anime, but Japan doesn't care about sales to Westerners as a whole anyway.
What else happened during the anime that could've been the reason for a spike in merch sales?
Yes, obviously merch would've sold either way, but a spike in sales suggests the anime at least did something right even it itself as a product was terrible.
>Picks up the nearest machine gun to fuck shit up
Are the Abyssals sentient? Are they zombies? Are they the borg? Are they an existence similar to the kanmusu? Can fallen kanmusu become Abyssals? Can you permanently kill an Abyssal or do they return from the ocean bottom after being sunk? Did they even really do anything wrong or are they just defending their home from the kanmusu aggressors? Why was the whole Kisaragi subplot so retarded?
Too bad she was in the back and running behind in the rear, at first. In the end, she managed to buttress the effort as assigned.
Here anons, I fixed your Choukai Kai Ni.
She seems very familiar though...
Alright so, from the current Choukai sneak peeks:
-Her tits got bigger
-Her skirt knot is the same as Maya's, I assume because the shrine in Mt. Choukai doesn't specialize in a certain type of protection like in Maya's Buddhist temple
Kancolle anime AKA How I learned to love the Mutslug.
Bet there will be an increase in marriages for her than for Ashigara at least.
>Are the Abyssals sentient?
Maybe, it seems the more developed ones are while the regular grunts are braindead.
>Are they zombies?
Technically, but they seem to be mutations since they resemble crabs or oysters.
> Are they the borg?
I guess it can be used as comparison.
> Are they an existence similar to the kanmusu?
It's their polar opposite.
>Can fallen kanmusu become Abyssals?
Yes, they need sunken ships.
>Can you permanently kill an Abyssal or do they return from the ocean bottom after being sunk?
They come back, or at least most of them.
>Did they even really do anything wrong or are they just defending their home from the kanmusu aggressors?
Nobody knows, but I like to think they got angry at humanities care for the oceans.
>Why was the whole Kisaragi subplot so retarded?
Because they wanted a plot.
Abyssals are still mystery even for the players. We can only speculate from and how they are created.
One thing for sure, the Abyssals attacking our sea (kinda like Arpeggio), and we're fighting back to get them back.
If you felt the anime is so retared, you cna blame all of it to Tanaka. Pic related.
They're cute. They don't need to be best in anything.
So I've been wondering, what's up with the sail, wouldn't that just cause immense drag seeing as she's not even using it?
So, having just watched it, I have to say that when 'that plane' arrived, I thought it was Americans because the only plane with wings like that I know of is the Corsair. After a moment I realized how dumb that thought was.
That sounds like a hook for a decent storyline.
It's just fanservice to history.
> In the third battle of Solomon, captain Kikkawa ordered his men to 'raise the sails' using hammocks to keep up the morale after Yuudachi's engine was disabled; this act angered the Americans as it appeared Yuudachi continued fighting while hanging the 'white flag'. The sail is visible on the second remodel art.
All of them relate to Tatsuta touching Tenryuu inappropriately of course.
Some were sunk, some were left to rust, Some were scrapped.
I think Kongou was reborn as a Fridge(?) ship.
the (?) means I cant remember how to spell it. Think of it as a destroyer just smaller.
Don't mind if I do.
The writing of the anime would have ruined any other character anyway.
At least the anime get her the cute kai ni and anime Bucky got plenty of reaction face.
Some of them are remade into new ships retaining the names. Few examples include Hyuuga as a helicopter destroyer and Souryuu as a submarine. This is focused more in Calm Seas.
Yeah, there's a few namesake ships out there.
Becoming a museum ship or donated to another navy that's too poor to buy/update their own ships is pretty much the only way for WWII ships to be spared being scuttled, sunk, scrapped or used for target practice.
Nothing more sad than a ship getting scrapped, I think I'd prefer if they were all sunk.
Unless you get given to the red navy, in which case you'll get used as target practice later on anyways.
It is an odd thought isn't it? But I guess at the end of the day it makes the most sense to cannibalize an unneeded ship for resources and cash.
And there is the practice of scuttling ships so as to create an artificial reef, for example the USS Oriskany
>Boat coming in
>Coming in fast
>Dock workers blitzing
>Momentum-based parking job, minus the hole on her starboard?
Sauce on what's going on please?
the OstendSpirit, originally the Pride of Calais, being beached at Aliaga Ship Demolishing Yards in Turkey.
Sold and broken up for scrap after Transeuropa Ferries went belly up.
Going by the 4 main guns instead of 3 and not that many AA guns, she's FP focused like some people thought. Probably higher FP than Haguro since blueprints takes away some restrictions.
Level 65 requirement.
So having only a passing interest before the Anime, and now with a sort of "walk by storefront and quickly glance before continuing, stopping, and then walking back a few paces to get a better look" kind of interest, is getting into the actual game itself worth the effort? I realize it's odd to ask on a thread of what is probably full of people who are enjoying the game.
Maybe I'll just buy a figure and be done with it.
Musashi returned to normal craft chance.
You fuckers better not have missed out.
This is my second Musashi.
Granted you should have one by now. Also she has 85 Firepower and 86 Torpedo when maxed out.
Registered last week.
Chose Inazuma as starter.
Don't understand moon so I stopped before even making my first ship construction so I can figure out what the hell these buttons mean first before I end up scrapping Inazuma by accident.
Honestly go play some other DMM browser game or mobage or just stick on buying the merchandise. The only highlight for the game are only events for me. Other than that I just log in for quests then log out.
