What the fuck
Also Chaos;Child is getting an anime too.
The story takes place in the beta world lines
Air Date: N/A
Maho's gonna be in it. It seems to be related to the Epigraph Trilogy and Drama CD Beta but not a direct adaptation.
Honestly not entirely happy about this, I see too many ways it could go wrong. Why didn't they just straight adapt the Epigraph Trilogy instead?
Yeah. I was looking forward to Antimatter because it was going to have a focus on Nae and Braun, but now we've got this shit? It's just a slightly altered variant of the story that's already been released twice.
S;G also had QUALITY but the story broke all expectations and got everyone. I still remember that scene where Okabe was freaking out in the new timeline. Shit like that doesn't always happen.

Hack into God
They've announced that Steins;Gate Zero will be set in a Beta World Line and have multiple routes, it's a new story and a new Three-part Novel and accompanying Drama CD will also be released to depict "a certain route" that has been revised.
So considering the fact that they're releasing three new novels, and making a VN out of it. I'm fairly certain it isn't Epigraph.
You've read that wrong.
It says that a slightly revised version of the story covered in the Drama CD and the Epigraph Trilogy will be covered by one of the routes in the game, not that they're releasing new material based on the route.
So basically, the Epigraph Trilogy will be condensed into one of the game's routes. And may be the focus of the anime adaptation, but it's all up in the air right now.
>Depicts the story of the β World Line where Makise Kurisu wasn't saved, as told in the previously sold Steins;Gate Epigraph novels.
>[Steins;Gate0] isn't exactly a game adaptation of those novels, but it includes the content of the three novels and drama CD with many completely new scenarios.
Okay, basically it's talking about Amadeus and derivatives of Kurisu's work.
It's going to take several elements of the Epigraph Trilogy/Drama CD Beta and work them into multiple scenarios based on the fate of the Beta Attractor Field.
November 2010, β World Line--
This is the story of what happened after Okabe Rintarou returned without saving "her" on July 28.
When the system known as "Amadeus" leads him once more to the world entrenched in conspiracy--
He still did not know.
Indeed, "she" is still right there--
I remember in a thread a week or two ago someone was asking why there wasn't a second season and we collectively head-tilted. At least they're going with an original story and not just a continuation of the first S;G. Would have been Haruhi all over again.
>Still no Chaos Head adaptation
>[REDACTED] still [REDACTED]
I guess this is the world line where Mayuri and Faris get hit by the shrink ray from Steins;Gate 8-bit
Microsoft has an exclusivity deal with 5pb but it's only timed.
Steins;gate was originally Xbox exclusive and now it's literrally fucking everywhere, chaos;child was exclusive and the vita/ps4/ps3 versions were just announced
The psycho pass VN will probs be the same
>The psycho pass VN will probs be the same
Sorry if this seems out of topic, but is there any info about Psycho Pass VN?
Will it continue the anime or be a spinoff or a prequel?
>Chaos;Child getting an anime
But my Chaos;Head NoAH anime reboot...
I know that nobody cares about that at the moment, with SG0 and Child anime, but there was supposed to be a new opening video for PS-port of Chaos;Child. Is it available somewhere?
Nothing on 5pb youtube channel.
Also, I didn't quite get, will Anonymous;Code be a VN or a Light Novel?
Anime? What Chaos;Head anime? I only know of the F.D.D and Super Special songs that were somehow released as separate singles and a part of the vocal collection
There is no Chaos;Head anime, anon. It's all a DILLUSION. A terrible, Madhouse dillusion
You obviously haven't seen the VN.
Hana is miracle of the universe.
The anime is gping to be shit. Out of four source material VNs Chaos;Child is the least adaptable into linear story. So, yeah. Another adaptation that never happened. You can already start practice ignoring it's existence.
Here's a news article for you: http://gematsu.com/2015/03/chaoschild-coming-to-ps4-ps3-and-ps-vita
Yes Chaos Child bombed so hard on XBOne that it's being released on every Playstation platform available all at once. It's apparently out June 25th. I could have imported the XBOne version (I have the XBOne demo still sitting in my console), but I also just waited it out for the Playstation version. Now it's a matter of deciding between the PS4 or Vita LE.
Shit I'm excited
I don't and I hope I'm wrong. It's just looking at their designs none of them appeal to me. What's even more frustrating is that they could have a much better design if Choco did the characters instead of just the Di-Swords.
Oh yeah and the Swords thing was cool as fuck in C;H, I hope they'll be more relevant in Child.
SG0 is probably White Fox again. Would be strange to see anyone else.
C;C... anyone that is not Madhouse, pls. I bet on some cheap newbies or something, because of the very poor sales of the original game I doubt they have much money to spare on this title right now.
If it's Madhouse again I'm going to riot. Literally anyone BUT Madhouse is acceptable now. I'm pretty sure they're gonna use Madhouse again though. God damn it those games really deserve better adaptations
Also kind of a shame that Chaos;Child is seemingly getting overshadowed by the Steins;Gate anime and VN sequel.
Have you been to Jap forums? Do you know why it C;C bombed?
Was it because nips were ready to wait fro the PS versions? Or because wasn't worth if to buy a XBox for only a game?
C;C because it was XBOne exclusive.XBOne is basically non-existent in Japan outside of a very small niche audience that makes really good Forza liveries. Plain and simple.
A few months back when someone was livestreaming the game, around the same time the director or creator was having a little moment on Twitter trying to defend his choice of having the game be XBOne exclusive. Obviously it wasn't a good idea. 5pb wanted these PS ports sooner rather than later.
Look at this Promo image. It looks as if Takuru trying his hardest to set himself free of shitty anime adaptation.
Yeah. I know it's mainly cause S;G actually got a decent adaptations. It especially has mainstream appeal (well... relatively) even here in the West. Subpar adaptions of C;H and R;N don't help either.
Yeah I can see that. With the right staff, a C;C or even C;H Noah anime would be fucking incredible.
But she's in a computer now so you always have her when you need her.
Chaos;Head > Steins;Gate > Chaos;Child > Robotics;Notes
Chaos;Child is freaking awesome, but there are just too much things that bothered me and could bother you.
For example, the biggest concern is, though it could be considered stand alone, it doesn't really try to be one. The game feels too related to the other installments, even more so than Robotics;Notes.
My second biggest concern is, the delusions in this one are absolutely pointless to the point of seeming to be out of place. And they aren't particularly interesting either.
Well, that kind of thing. You got the idea.
If it wasn't for that minor details, I might've rated it even higher then S;G.
>favourite VN getting a sequel
>best character is dead
>everyone is depressed
I don't know what to feel
Does that mean we'll have Kagari at some point too?
>announcing an anime adaptation and a vn at the same time
Am I reading this wrong?
No official ones I know of. This fanfic isn't too bad though http://archiveofourown.org/works/2257167
Totally inconsistent with the mechanics of the series, but then again so was the movie, so if you can handle that you can probably handle this.
So, anyone knows what is pic related?
Source is in runes so I can't read it.
When it's subtle, like in Steins;Gate related to Chaos;Head, I consider it to be positive too. But in C;C case it's too direct, in my opinion.
I see stand-alone...ness as one of a selling points of Science SDV. I always liked how cool it is: the same world, same organizations, same rules, but people involved are always different, and the events aren't really interconnecting. You can safely read one installment and not even guess that there was another one.
It gives you that kind of realistic sense, as if there actually is a huge world, similar to ours. It makes the setting more complete. And finding those subtle references and interesting things, like Visual Rebuilding Technology schemes and everything, those kind of things feel way more rewarding and personal if the connection between installments is not direct.
Like, you know, "Oh, there's a subtle reference! I got it! I wonder if anyone else got it? Since it's so not obvious, and you really need to be familiar with other games to get it...".
This versus blatant "There was a huge ass fuck earthquake several years ago..." and you already thinking that it was supposed to be in some previous game, and you only need to read a synopsis or a plot summary to get this one, etc.
Well, can't say anything about that, really.
I already got used to the fact that most of the people prefer S;G over C;H, so I'm not going to comment on this, but about C;C over C;H -- while I can kinda understand where this is coming from, for me it can't be the case already because C;H feels very original and it'sone of the best things about it for me, while C;C builds on the same ideas almost entirely. So for me it's secondary by definition alone.
WAIT a fucking second, not only Occultic;Nine exist, but it's getting a VN too?!
Anyone read it?
It's the next SciADV installment.
In my opinion I see the ever-increasing interconnectivity as a major point of the series and a positive thing. It's leading towards a culmination of all of it.
If that's the case, that would be freaking awesome, but I really doubt we'll get any kind of culmination at all. The end of this kind of series happens because creators can't come up with anything interesting anymore and the series slowly degrades with shitty sequels to the eventual cancellation.
>In this place in your life
>I am delighted more than anything else
>Regardless hacking God
I don't see them doing a serious "SciADV Avengers" for a long time. If anything I see them doing what is essentially Carnival Phantasm, but for the SciADV games instead. A self parody side anime would be incredible with the universe they have right now.
Since C;C is NEVER EVER coming to PC, an anime is great
Was hoping C;H would get a reboot too
>2000 Millenium Bug
Didn't this not happen? I thought it was what separated the gamma attractor field from the rest.
Is it not set in the S;G World Line? How does it work as an entry if it isn't?
Yeah they pretty much revealed the rest of their plan. We knew about C;C for a while. The S;G sequel was just announced. The next actual new iteration of the series was announced (Anon;Code). Plus S;G is getting a Western localization on PS3 and Vita. The franchise is looking pretty good outside of thinking it's a good idea to make the games Xbox exclusive.
No, they scrapped Antimatter because the author had written themself into a hole, was having family problems, and just generally didn't want to continue writing the book when they knew it wasn't gonna be finished by the deadline anyway.
S;G Zero has nothing to do with it.
I think is timed exclusive. 5pb needs Microsoft money but they aren't stupid enough to go to the 100% exclusive route.
Been timed exclusive pays less than exclusive, but 5pb seems to be fine with that.
Just give me more Robotics;Notes or a translated VN. I need more of Frau.
>Are you really this fucking new? This happened in 2011.
No, dumbass. I thought Madhouse was by itself and then bought RECENTLY.
>Madhouse was better before 2011 though
My thoughts exactly.
And the award for worst-dressed SciADV protagonist goes to...
Mostly just VN's, occasional shmups, and itasha themed Forza liveries. Outside of that there isn't much. Everything that didn't succumb to the fate of mobile gaming just sells more on PlayStation. Stuff like Dragon Quest Heroes and Battlefield Hardline sold quite a lot on PS4 in Japan.
Almost everybody who actually read Chaos;Head VN likes it.They just like less then S;G.
And if you liked the anime, my condolences.
And yes, it's a follow up, but it's not directly related. All the characters are new and the events of the C;H are only mentioned on the background. Mostly.
Is Chaos;Head Noah a sequel or reboot to the original?
It doesn't have an English patch for PC, so assuming it's xbox exclusive with no localization.
Does it add enough additional content, which would justify reading it instead of the original VN?
Didn't Yukari Tamura announced her retirement a few days ago?
Will she voice Suzuha anyway?
The original VN is translated. Not much else.
Couple of shitty mangas that you don't want to waste your time on, the anime adaptation that doesn't exist. That's pretty much it, so...
One last question. Thoughts on him? I liked how Takumi was so paranoid in the VN and that really added to the suspense scenes.
He seems to be totally different.
He's okay. That's about as much as i can say about him.
He gets his development later in the story and he's likable and interesting enough to root for him, but he is definitely not as great as Takumi or Okabe.
Maybe slightly above VN-version of Kaito level.
It's partially confirmed. Let's hope she changes her mind or gets over her depression.
Well fuck. Are these bugs ones that make the VN unplayable? Think I remember seeing some guy talk about saving at a certain point locking him in the game.
>tfw no more おーはああああああ～
>tfw no more ういいいいいいいす
This is bad, I hope she is still available for this kind of projects.
There's only one real bug I know about. If you try to load a save made in 7th chapter, the game crashes, so you need to get through this chapter in one sitting. Everything else is fine.
Here you go anon, since fuwanovel is usually shit.
The one with 36k downloads has an underwear patch, can anyone clarify if it's worth it?
No, and there is nothing wrong with Akiho. She deserved to win the MC anyway. I just like Frau more.
What now Kurisufags?
They hate youre waifu just like us anti-kurisufags.
And they claim this as the legal sequel to S;G I can't just imagine you guys faces right now.
While I love S;G I'm not sure if I should be happy about this sequel. I fear it will be terrible.
>Almost everybody who actually read Chaos;Head VN likes it.
Bullshit, the ratings are low as fuck on vndb.
I played it back in 09 and this is my veredict.
The first half is a thriller masterpiece. you do not know who is the "murderer" and start supecting everyone, the presentation and atmosphere are amazing.
The second half, is a completly different game, with more akin the the shitty last parts of FSN in which the power of friendship and love gives you unlimited superpowers.... in other words shit.
This is what happens when you hack God.
And the whole story is going to be about MC running around, trying to change the past so that awful fashion revolution wouldn't happen.
Shikura just called me and officially confirmed this.
I'm not done with the VN yet. I haven't even gotten to the point where you send the first dmail (I don't think. It's been too long since I've played it what with work and school and shit.)
Most of the people has a problem with second half, thus not the highest ratings on VNDB (but not exactly low as fuck either)
That doesn't change the fact that they enjoyed and liked C;H in the end, as most of the people admit it.
There's a big difference between "could be better" and "shit".
Someone's still mad about the movie, huh?
He was pushing a new category "Science Visual Novel" so that he can lump it all together.
What's wrong with the movie beside a lack of proper Climax?
So I've seen the Steins;Gate anime a while back and recently did the VN. Im thinking about doing the other ;;;; VN's. Is there any order I should do them in?
It also seems like they're all in the same universe, but some follow a totally different story, or are they not that seperate?
Are the Chaos ones as good as the Steins;Gate VN?
I hope they port it to new system someday. Can't be arsed to mod PS2.
It's not even a part of the series, so It doesn't really matter.
And if it was, it wouldn't flop. Every other installment in Science ADV sold very well. At least, this was the case before Shikura thought that making the next installment an XBone exclusive is a good idea.
How relevant is she?
So I can be disappointed right now instead of when the anime hits
>It's not even a part of the series
But didn't he just renamed the entire series and included Anon;Code in it?
And didn't Robotic;Note bomb?
It did happen IRL, (which is what the SG worldline is supposed to be) but it was nowhere near as bad as people in the 90s were predicting. In Gamma, it really was as bad as the predictions said it would be.
I only watched the anime and it has been a while.
From what I remember:
MC got into the "good end, everything is right" timeline at the end.
Does this sequel take place then or what? I always felt that it ended too
cliffhangery with him looking at the red haired bitch.
Did she remember anything from the previous time lines he was in or was he just happy to have a future where shit wasn't going to go murderously wrong ?
I only watched the anime, I'm going to fix that right away.
How question before I start, does the game details all the worldline shit in details, what started it and how, the differences between the 3 lines (I never realized there was more than 2 until today), this kind of thing? Or I should keep the wiki near me while playing.
This is not a sequel. This is a retelling of the world line instance where Okabe failed to save Kurisu and failed to prevent WW3. The world line where
Okabe needed to fail at least once in order to send the dmail back to himself telling him how to alter the future by faking her death.
The end goal is that. There's just much much more suffering involved. It wouldn't be fair to not acknowledge Beta Okabe's sacrifices.
The only issue is we already know what happens in this worldline story through Epigraph, so many people are hesitant at hoping this will amount to anything we haven't seen before.
If you aren't familiar with Reading Steiner, I suggest you go visit his site and catch up on the LN/Manga translations.
>But the Alpha and Beta and S;G worldlines are the main ones. No?
Not exactly. This is explained even in anime, though.
Alpha and Beta are Attractor Fields. It's like th bunch of different world lines with similar rules and events, all moving in one direction with slight only (in the Universe scale) differences. Like spaghetti in the pack. There's a spaghetti pack Alpha, spaghetti pack Beta, etc.Every single macaroni being a world line of it's own.
Steins;Gate is a world line in the Beta pack, which is good, better then every other because fuck you that's why.
Each Number like "1.571046" or anything like that is another world line. In the Main game they are just in the Alpha (everything under 0) or Beta (everything above 0) Attractor fields. The S;G line for example is 1.048596 Alpha.
Other spin-offs involve other lines like Gamma (2 and above) or Delta (3 and above). If I remember correctly Faryis Route was set in the Omega worldline and not Alpha or Beta.
I could swear there was some sort of controversy with the fan translation and one of the people involved pretty much sold the work other people had done? This was way back so I could be wrong, maybe it's not the same person involved in the translation.
Would be hilarious if they Yoshida's artstyle instead of huke, just like Antimatter.
Hopefully they'll give a different haircut for Okabe on the early on before he change it back.
This just came in my mail, try to guess what it is.
It wasn't the story, it was just that the pacing at the beginning sucked ass and I couldn't even skip shit I already know.
Also the JAST translation sucks dick, so is there a better T/L without terrible naming and where Ruka is not named fucking Luka?
Just opened it, it's making a lot of noise, maybe it's a MP3 player?
This shit is getting out of
Robotics;Notes has the best characters in the franchise.
It's way more original, even unique, I'd say. it's insanely entertaining and very unpredictable (you understand that this my go to freaking and there's nothing quite like it. And it contains nearly all of my favorite tropes that are normally incompatible, while not bing a complete illogical trashy trainwreck, but instead being a story that you can actually take seriously. Even considering the insanity of the later parts of it.
While Steins;Gate is executed masterfully, has fantastic characters and everything, but is essentially build on the very overused (to the point of being irritating cliche nowadays) story idea, and it goes in very predictable directions.
I still enjoy S;G and would rate it as high as Chaos;Head, but in my opinion, unconventional almost always beats conventional.
It might be because I disliked all of the girls, nobody really struck a cord with me. Takumi is a great MC though, and the concept and execution is pretty good.
There's an anime?
>I disliked all of the girls
But it had the best SciAdv girl.
You mean the adventure game where Takumi gets fused to an IBM 5100 and Kurisu piggybacks on Okabe so they can reach a shrink ray to shrink the giant Gero Froggy that's blocking the door to May Queen.
Because it's the story about how Okarin became a leader of the Rebellion.
Well, this is at least getting localized for the PS3 and Vita.
>hey hey bro let's go out
>no I want to go home and grind
>you need a cellphone bro
>oh fuck me I just want to go home and chat with Grim
>okay have this bangle I literally that I got with my fake sword and was about to throw into the trash
>oh my god this is my most prized possession
>hey bro can I drink this coke
>no you can't
>okay I'll drink it (dies shortly after choked on coke)
We are getting S;G 0 game and anime, C;C anime, O;N game and A;C game. Which one do you think will be the worst?
