Season 2 when?
Like,really, have they announced it?
They rushed through 100 chapters and the manga is only at chapter 120. If they do make a second season, it won't be for a few years.
Last thread. There were two, with one being a fake. No one knows which though
Everyone's going to tell you to read from the beginning, anon. They really did skip/change quite a bit and you'll miss out on a lot of good stuff. That said, A-1's liberties didn't derail the show into animu original territory.
At the very least, start reading from the Kingdom Infiltration arc.
Listen here you fuck.
The anime was, all-in-all, pretty shit. You're going to start from chapter 1 on a good site with all the side chapters (animefags like yourself are likely to use mangapanda/reader and miss all of those fucking great chapters) like this one (http://manga.redhawkscans.com/reader/series/the_seven_deadly_sins/) and you're going to fucking enjoy it.
Only then will you be an acceptable participant in these threads
>anime didn't even show the tear or his whole face
>anime couldn't even recreate this sweet spread properly
>anime made Mel just gracefully glide backwards after taking this hit and cut away from the actual impact
>anime made this impact look like a light tap
>anime drew this iconic moment with just a plain blue-tiled background and even fucked up Gil's face
>anime skipped Hawk reincarnation side-chapter and made THAT moment seem like a completely baseless asspull
>anime replaced these injuries with a few light scratches
>anime skipped assloads of based Slader
>anime just blackscreens and makes the demon appear completely out of nowhere and skips it actually doing stuff because lolbanfainted or some bullshit like shit
>anime skipped just about all of the ban/elaine content/conversation that actually gave a sense of the passage of time and some depth to the relationship
>shadow flying over the trees
The main point was that we actually see it land with its black floating wings rather than showing it just suddenly standing there without an explanation
>anime completely skipped Oslow's first introduction so his later appearance and ability look like a total asspull
>anime completely skipped Merlin's teleport rape of Vivian and made it look like Vivian just made some stupid mistake by going to a dragon next and getting her staff stolen by one
>anime made the Demon-Dale fight QUALITY as fuck
>this thread will almost certainly just die after I stop venting my frustrations with the anime
what a terrible day
Well, shitting on the anime's shortcomings is therapeutic at least.
I might just convince at least one animefag to do the right thing and experience the series properly in the manga
Time to pick up the manga. The art seems pretty great and the show had a lot of QUALITY moments.
The worst offenders there are Meliodas and Ban. The rest is somewhat close, artistic liberties aside.
If you've already read the manga, it wouldn't hurt. You could also just download the OST on its own.
Just as long as the anime isn't your first, experience of the series, I'd say.
On a scale of shit to shit, how shit did the capital of Liones look in the anime?
That one was posted someone else in an earlier thread. Apparently RHS is still superior overall in terms of other factors, but the source from which the one I posted is from (Crunchyroll maybe?) just has slightly better scans.
>anime >skipped this scene >entirely
>anime couldn't even execute this scene properly and just gave Helbram a shocked face and stupid outstretched arms
>anime only bothered animating incoming attacks but left the actual counter as just a still frame with a little bit of moving smoke
>anime completely skipped the teacup/Griamore scene along with the entirely town before Byzel
>anime made Mother Catastrophe look crappy
>anime couldn't even execute this scene properly
I'm pretty sure actually being able to fucking hear him as he's dying would be more "executed properly" than your picture paper that isn't even colored because "lol1940sTradition"
>Q: Does the principle of underwear exist in the world of the fairies?
>A: It doesn’t. Both King and Elaine are totally naked beneath their clothes.
I'm still angry they cut Veronica's whole introduction chapter and gave her that super bright colour scheme in the anime.
>the anime changed the 3-way fight with Spaghetti & Son vs Hendy
Manga is an inferior medium.
I'm leaving this thread because we're not talking about season 2 anymore since buttmad no-sound-lover over here is mad about A-1 Pictures skipping half the manga.
> They really did skip/change quite a bit
Or for fucks sake stop this bullshit, no they didnt. I can count the number of things they changed on one hand. It would only be a matter of reading those some 7 to 10 chapters and started at 101.
Threader at lioness meeting sloth
Griamor father son battle
Thats fucking it
Anon I've dedicated most of my many posts in this thread to shit that the anime fucked up (and that's just what I remember), feel free to read them
I forgot to mention the merlin warp raping her student
>proof i didnt read the manga
Right now were at the part where the lancer is rekking everyones shit to the point where only escanor coming out of nowhere and exploding him or mel pulling some shit out of his ass would possibly work. Your move
Actually scratch that, forgot some parts of his hair.
>Threader at lioness meeting sloth
You meant lust, right?
>Threader vrs door
>Merlin meeting all the sins
>Dawn Roar's death
Plus the sidestories that didn't get adapted.
>ban and sennet scene
>dawn roar surviving and hauser being uninjured
>the entire last 5 minutes of the anime
While it is a side chapter, the explanation as to how hawk survived wasn't animated. There's also a couple more things they skipped/changed as well
Redrawn Volume pages tend to create a little bit of discussion
Surprised that I enjoyed reading this as much as I did. And I rarely get into this sort of manga. Hell, the blatant powerlevels doesn't bother me.
Gowther best girl, Jericho best ass and rape material
Not anon from above.
What I can get from your post is, that anime is automatically superior to the manga in any way, even it is totally half assed because sound and motions, which I cannot agree with.
The same why while reading books where you visualize the characters and scenes in your head, you have to imagine the voices and the resulting motions from the panels in your head which can have a bigger impact, compared to some lazy spoon feeding adaptation.
more fanbook stuff got translated already
Q: Does Gowther eat or drink anything?
A: He doesn’t.
Q: How are the cooking skills of the members of the sins apart from Meliodas and Ban?
A: I think Gowther would stick to the recipe.
Q: Merlin is a sorceress but is she strong in physical combat too?
A: She’s stronger than King and Hawk, King is the weakest.
Q: Does Elaine smell like flowers too?
A: Yes, she smells like lavender.
Q: Why was Merlin together with Arthur?
A: Because she saw something in him.
Q: Does Meliodas set his hair like that?
A: In Nanatsu no Taizai, the only characters who do that are Gilthunder and Howzer (lol)
Q: (Sorry, I don’t really understand the question but maybe it’s something like) Is there something like an armor shop for the people of the royal family? (maybe they mean the knights too, that mnakes more sense)
A: Howzer is from a blacksmith family originally. His father’s name is Raizer by the way.
Q: A lot of male characters have rather long hair, but noone has it in a ponytail. Is that because of their culture?
A: “If you can bind it, just cut it!” is what the men probably think about it themselves.
Q: Does Guila ever open her eyes?
A: They’re already open like that! She has really thin eyes is all.
Q: Do bras exist in that world?
A: Panties exist, so why not bras too? (lol)
Q: Tell us more about the ranks of the Holy Knights!
A: I will tell you more on page 66 (I’ll have to translate that too then…)
Q: Because of what circumstances has Anna married Dreyfus? What was their relationship before?
A: They married out of love. Dreyfus hopelessly fell for Anna.
Q: Is Hendrickson single?
Q: Was the man who’s arm Slader was holding in the kingdom his lover?
A: One of his many boyfriends I think.
Q: Did Meliodas decide on the members of the sins?
A: It was decided by the kings “Vision”.
Q: Is Simon a boy? Or a girl?
A: A boy. With a girly face.
Q: Is Marmas human? Or a different race?
A: Actually a beautiful young man… isn’t what he is, just an old man. A human one.
Q: Are there other Black Hounds, like Oslow?
A: I think there are but.,. there’s not many of them.
Q: How strong is Arthur when he really gives it his all?
A: As he is now he doesn’t compare to the sins but someday he might even surpass them?!
Q: What boyd parts do you like to draw the most?
A: For men it’s muscles and hands. For women… the body line I guess?
>And why couldn't they had made a scan of the new version?
are you perhaps retarded or just a newfag? Redhawk and mangastream are scanlating Nanatsu no Taizai, both work with the mag scans NOT with the tankoban, that has the redraws. It's clear that the right side are the redraws.
Again you take it for granted that people would share your knowledge that isn't apparent from the pictures. And then get mad about something that is fucking stupid to get mad about. You strike me as a bit autistic..
>Again you take it for granted that people would share your knowledge that isn't apparent from the pictures.
if you would follow the series or follow any scanlated weekly shonen jump manga you would know it retard
>Q: How strong is Arthur when he really gives it his all?
>A: As he is now he doesn’t compare to the sins but someday he might even surpass them?!
Arthur fucking Galan up to avenge Merlin when?
When is he gonna fuck Gowther?
or let Gowther fuck him?
I jus want more of the best one-page character and Jericho's onii-chan.
>Q: How strong is Arthur when he really gives it his all?
>A: As he is now he doesn’t compare to the sins but someday he might even surpass them?!
Does this include Escanor at Noon?
>Q: (Sorry, I don’t really understand the question but maybe it’s something like) Is there something like an armor shop for the people of the royal family? (maybe they mean the knights too, that mnakes more sense)
Royal armourers/blacksmiths, maybe.
Back then every race knew how to properly fight back, knights by fighting en masse I guess. That's how they're represented here at least.
>Back then every race knew how to properly fight back
There is this also.
It was said by Helbram, when King was fighting Albion, that the fairies had become lazy and complacent, always expecting their king to solve all their problems for them.
She did realize it changes sometimes, that's why she covers it.
Fanbook says her complex is her right eye, and this cover reinforces it.
>Or was that just the clone sword he got back
It's something else, she gave him just the sword for the time being.
Ban is 100% accurate. He had long hair before Jericho gave him a haircut. Hell, whoever drew Mel's wanted poster in-universe did a great job making it look exactly like Estarossa.
The backgrounds were complete shit for the entire run. Honestly, they have to have been some of the worst I've ever seen in any anime.
It's really disappointing because even when A-1 fucks up the animation they usually deliver on the backgrounds.
There's a few of them around but both of them seems to be fakes.
Here's a favorite of mine
>i'm sorry for looking like this
Episode 15 was pretty shit overall.
Found some spoilers on 2ch. They're probably fake, but who knows. I'm willing to believe anything at this point.
Light and Destruction
Galan has won the battle.
Arthur yells at him to stop. He is about to kill Merlin, but a mysterious force stops him.
He is frozen in place. This is Arthur's ability? "King's voice".
Galan is forced to return to Edinburgh.
At the same time, a mysterious person is seen watching the fight.
Arthur faints. Merlin catches him.
Next chapter is called "Name".
Just caught up. I can't take this scene seriously at all.
He was prepared to kick the bucket there, anon. When he came back he was just like "Well, this is fortunate" and from the scene with Gilthunder in the bar it's evident that he lost his memory of certain events from before, like the Forest of White Dreams.
Meliodas' right hand is fucked up in both versions, but the redraw looks better everywhere else
Hendricksen looks way to big in this redraw, he should have kept him more similar to the magazine version
>Q: Merlin is a sorceress but is she strong in physical combat too?
>A: She’s stronger than King and Hawk, King is the weakest.
Just read that now-
>being king is still suffering
why is that allowed?
>Mediocre manga=shit anime adaptation
b8 won't save this thread from dying
Why are combo attacks so cool, /a/?
It's pretty good, especially for fighting shonen. Very fast paced, lots of character interaction and development, cool action, deep foreshadowing and detail, nice designs, expressive art, interesting story. There really hasn't been any great ones in a while. Magi had promise but hasn't been too good recently. Hero is turning out good, but it needs to maintain quality for another year or two until it can be properly judged. OPM is good, but that's a completely different style of series.
Well they had to shoehorn Howzer into some more scenes since he wasn't half-dead as he should've been at the time in the anime.
That Exploding-Thunder-Nado still didn't look as stylish though as the first tornado combo, though. Must've been those sweet mid-air curves and the nicer animation as the explosions traveled upwards.
>Magi had promise but hasn't been too good recently
>Seven Deadly Sins
>there's six of them
>they're not deadly
Ah ha, I just remembered something else
>anime didn't have Meliodas using his demon powers when he caved in Hendy's chest
Adaptation was only slightly redeemed by dat music
>30 chapter flashback with only mildly interesting characters and extremely slow pacing
The current fight was cool though. Don't get me wrong, I like Magi a lot, but week-to-week it hasn't been very exciting recently. On the other hand, Sins has hyped me up almost every chapter for over a year now.
>30 chapter flashback
Actually its around 20 and so what?.
>only mildly interesting characters
What? Origins of the verses god, the main antagonists and excellent world building "mildly interesting" to each his own I guess.
>extremely slow pacing
Again what? It felt extremely rushed did you even read the Alma Torn arc?
I dunno. I agree that the flashback was important from a storytelling perspective, but it just didn't get me excited weekly, with the exception of a few of the final chapters. I guess it felt both rushed and slow. It felt like each chapter could have been told in half the pages, but also that not much actually happened in each chapter individually. As a whole, it was fine, but again, as a weekly read, I found it good but somewhat lacking. I'm excited to see how it all ties into the next arc now that the fight is done.
Tying it back to NnT, I think Nakaba is doing a great job at writing a condense and interesting story that really only involves around 20 central characters. Especially in this arc, where each of the characters have clearly evolved due to their experiences in the last arc. Almost every character has a new motivation, goal, or other form of development, including all of the "side characters". In most series, characters besides the main cast get shoved aside when transitioning arcs, but here each of them still feel relevant to the story, even if they don't seem as relevant strength-wise to the current threat.
Is this the nicest looking page in the series?
