Didn't really like the anime though. Can a series even go wrong with Yoko Kanno doing the soundtrack?
Indeed. Even the video games had great music.
I wonder whether there has ever been a thread like this where none of her work has been posted.
Well, honestly, can't say it's a 10/10 but at least an 8/10.
Too bad the actual anime went to shit
Not an original composition, but still fucking good and an integral part of the whole experience. Definitely 10/10
Pretty much the whole music collection is just fantastic.
>Same exact second
That's bordering on creepy
>that engrish in My Favourite Things
Speaking of Engrish. It really annoyed the hell out of my during the show, but it eventually grew on me.
If we're mentioning Gundam. I listen to this when I play vidya sometimes.
When will Go Shiina do another anime?
I guess God Eater counts, but the OST for that has been out for a while.
how could the thread go this long without pic related being mentioned. the OP isn't the best, but the ED and BGM are both top tier
Itsumo no Fuukei is literally a masterpiece that needs to be preserved and passed onto further generations.
I'm a real sucker for Macross Frontier music. Even watched that concert on Youtube.
LITERALLY MILLISECONDS APART
Didn't even realize how nice the music was before rewatching.
Well ain't that some shit
Senjuu Akira doing it again.
Evangelion had godly OST
1 and 3rd ost albums, EoE album and 3.33 soundtrack are my favourites, but some tracks from Death and Rebirth are allright too, pretty much everything by Shiro Sagisu is godly except Bleach and Berserk III.
Good, but very overrated
I'm that other anon. I always dreamed of this happening and it actually did. I feel like I'm obliged to go buy a lottery ticket but I may have already used up all my life's worth of luck with that post.
Obligatory, still listening to The Pillows in this day and age
Shouldn't even be up for debate. Perfect OST except for the ending.
Great soundtrack for the first season. Opening and ending are great and the episode BGM are so unique.
Don't have a picture of the album, but Giant Robo had one of the most impressive soundtracks I've ever heard.
Listening to it right now, holy fuck it's perfect.
I-i-it wasn't b-b-bad
Toaru universe has some pretty good ones, especially Index openings and BGM.
god, i want to hear this music until i die
and then become a living dead
All these are 10/10, rest of the thread don't know what they're doing
Super Driver was the only good song that came from there
The Ideon: Be Invoked:
Galaxy Express 999 movie:
I still honestly think this is Kenji's best and finest work.
>that gregorian chanting from the track New Pulse right at 01:08
OY MG GOD
IM GOING TO FUCKING CUM SO HARD
Goddamn shame that's the only part in the whole OST that it shows up, fucksake. I wanted to hear it stand alone.
CODE GEASS MUSIC
FUCK THEM FOR NOT RELEASING LIKE 7 TRACKS
The Twelve Kingdoms
Is Akira too obvious? The OST alone made the movie for me
You might be able to find it standalone somewhere. I don't have the time to research it right now, but it's possibly a sample and not an original piece - I'm not familiar with old chants.
God fucking damn. Now if only one was a get.
I fucking love myself some monogatari music
Prisma still has the best OST in the Fate franchise.
So there exists updated version. Last one I have is from dec.2012.
>Still no Sketchbook
Can someone just add it already:
Yup. Too bad there aren't more things of the same scale that makes use of long runtimes to do some serious work with leitmotifs. Giant Robo is one of the only things I can think of that compares in that sense.
>I-i-it wasn't b-b-bad
But it sure wasn't good, especially for Iwasaki. Doesn't hold a candle to Katanagatari, Jormungand, Noragami or practically anything else.
All of these men have great taste.
Also, Aldnoah Zero OST. Trainwreck of a plot, but great music. Similar to Guilty Shit in that regard.
Pic related. Not necessarily 2, just any. All.
A few of the songs are absolutely amazing. aLIEz, heavenly blue, birth gt, bpm, Harmonious, bre@th//LESS, AD 2014-7.5/7.9, AcyOrt. Rest are good or okay.
I only watched for the OST and fluffy suffering, so the OST must be pretty good, no?
for ultimate it was good, yasushi ishii's music wouldn't have fitted with hellsing ultimate.
That saying, here's the soundtrack of the original hellsing series.
Both Rebellion and the original series had 10/10 OST's.
The series OST is 9/10 if you combine it with movies 1 and 2. Otherwise is a 7.
Sawano needs to get his autism in check.
Also, pic related.
That's nothing compared to this masterpiece.
yumekui merry had a pretty solid ost, i think we can agree it's at least a solid 8/10.
He is the product of a carefully conducted experiment.
Last OST I bought was Kill la Kill. And it has not left the stereo in my truck since.
the fuck are you doing /a/?
