"A chance meeting between a Master and Servant who shouldn’t have met――――"
>Basically, Manaka wanted to try dreaming and experience change, surprise, and all the sorts of things that aren't really associated with someone being hooked up to the Root, so her conscious goes past the backside of the world, beyond the end of the world, to different times, different space, and in the process she sees a dragon waiting for someone for a very long time, then she sees a light shining at the light of the world, stitching the front and back of the world together, and then her conscious gets dragged into some one room apartment that seemed like the whirl of everything, telling her nope, leave it here, and then she finds herself in some labyrinth, apparently possessing someone else's body and as the summoner of Saber.
>So it's basically Quantum Leap.
>Except Saber sees Manaka, Manaka sees the original owner of the body when she looks in the mirror, and the original owner of the body sees Manaka when Manaka looks in the mirror.
>Apparently this is one of those variant Grail Wars, with a labyrinth and four Servants instead, and the goal is to get to the bottom of the dungeon.
At least that properly connects Prototype to the main universe.
It doesn't literally connect it to anything. She's sending her consciousness to another world. I mean it as in "it is a valid, connected parallel world", which some people have argued against in the past for whatever reason.
I'm looking forward to it as well anon
Manka is basically proto-Dark Sakura/Illya. She's a deranged undead loli who wants to protect her husbando but also wants to end the world the world because people are ants and the lives of ants mean nothing to her.
Isn't his summoning only temporary though?
I recall something about her having 5 1-shot Superpowered Command Spells - like summoning and controlling a Servant but only for a short while or something like that.
That wasn't in the original F/FS and i'm talking based on spoilers from the new one, so might be completely off.
"what? tsukihime? what is it?" - people working at type-moon
Oh. That still doesn't make a lot of sense to me but maybe I'm missing something in my knowledge of fate.
Ghengis khan would make a better rider than I think. He conqoured more territory and the guns are actually famous for their horse riding
We're definitely getting Napoleon at some point because they keep teasing him with Joan having a rivalry as the "most influential french hero." He'll apparently have a magic dictionary NP if Capsule Servant is anything to go by.
This was a setting for original novel/game.
As for the new setting, the mages who copied 3rd grail war couldn't copy it right, getting abridged, only 6 servants version.
They didn't actually know you need exactly 7 heroic spirits to hold Heaven's Feel and materialize the grail, but they could guess something will be wrong. For them, all of this war was just an experiment.
When servants were summoned and Gil fought Enkidu, Francesca (who's identity is speculated to be Rita Rozay-en) was setting stage for the 7th servant summoning and the
I don't think the five Servant thing has changed. The five command spells from the Einzbern are still there, and there's something about voices. The volume 2 summary even mentions the Little Red Riding Hood thing from Mr. A.
I really like Arturia, but I feel like they're going too far with this milking.
I'm laughing so much I almost forgot the real problem with that announcement
Is there a chance that worst Arthur meets up with Best Arthur?
she has a smile worth protecting.
Okay thanks. I was concentrated with Kuro being a cousin instead of a sister when I was reading it so it slipped by me. Btw, could she be referring to anyone or just any other nun?
Manaka is over powered as hell, but is she really that big of a Mary Sue? She failed to end the world twice, failed to the gain the love of her husbando twice, and died twice.
She's the most interesting girl in the Nasuverse.
>A violent brute who parades into Shirou's house without asking is a sue
>Pushes people when they confess to her
Truly she's a beast.
I have, and that's why I said she was overpowered as hell, but she fails and dies at the end of Fragments and fails and dies again at the end of Prototype. There are bigger Mary Sues in the Nasuverse than her.
this is probably a super newfag question but what order should i watch fate in? there's a shitload of spin offs and prequels and sequels and sequels to spin offs. is there a set chronological or just logical order? i started watching fate/stay night (the one that's currently in progress) and have watched kaleid liner prisma illya and 2wei. pls halp
Yeah, start with the Tsukihime anime because that's first in chronological order, then watch Fate/Zero. Finally, watch the DEEN version of F/SN (the one in 2006) because that fully completes the Fate story started by UBW.
what about stuff like prototype, apocrypha, grand order and ataraxia? are those all spin offs?
is there a place i can easily read it online? i tried searching for the visual novel but only wiki's about it came up.
Nasu's original scenario for Fate. Got shafted but we get things like Fragments.
What if Nazis stole the Grail in the Third War.
A bunch of grail wars for a freemium game for you to play.
"Sequel" of Stay Night
As for the other question>>123804845
Now go away.
holy shit what have i gotten myself into. i've never seen a visual novel before, sounds pretty cool. thank you for the guide.
to be fair, i wasn't expecting to be spoonfed all that, i actually was only aware of the anime up to this point, and was just pulling names off of the type moon website which is largely in japanese. have you read everything? seems like quite an investment.
You know she's the cutest. Look at her.
Ha, good to know. I'm not here often, I began watching fate yesterday and only stop by otherwise to check for HxH threads.
That's fair, lurk moar is kind of a universal rule.
That wouldn't be anything new for Manaka seeing as she's died a couple times.
I'm excited as well. Or at least, would be if I knew at least that the remake's coming within the next 10 years. Do we need to boycott Bloodborne?
That would not be enough. You would need to cut games entirely out of his life to get Nasu to work and I'm sure he'd rather die than have that happen.
I don't even know why I still bother with TM since all it's going to be is Fate/*. It's like some sort of black hole that just keeps sucking you in.
So once the Tsukihime remake's out, I imagine the next ten years will be filled with Tsukihime-milking.
Melty Blood HD's a given. There'll probably be a remake of Kagetsu Tohya, I guess. Probably a bunch of Dead Apostle spin-offs or whatever.
Either is fine with me. As long as she keeps her sweater puppies and air intakes.
I don't really care for the longer skirt from an aesthetic standpoint.
It's basically just a solid purple rectangle. If it at least had lines like Akiha's skirt, that'd be fine, but a completely solid mass of purple is just too boring.
I like the holy grail war idea and all, but I really want to hear more about the general world instead of an endless succession of shitty spinoffs. Tsukihime has always been better in that regard.
I also personally prefer the Turkeyhandle characters, but I don't even know what Nasu would do with them at this point.
Nothing can beat the charm of a blond-haired foreigner, after all
That's less design and more Takeuchi can't draw details.
Rapist pls go
>Melty Blood, Re-ACT, Act Cadenza, Actress Again
He's honestly done more with individual Tsukihime characters than he has with individual Fate characters.
I like both Tsuki and Fate, but Fate has become extremely oversaturated, and honestly loses some of its charm because of that. Plus, I wonder if TM realizes that the endless milking of Saber will only serve to make her less appealing in the long run because of overuse.
Of course, more Arturia is fine, but keep her in her own story.
I know, that's exactly it. Melty Blood is stuck with this current storyline because half the characters can't be in the game outside of silly TATARI based stuff, and no one likes it when a fighting game drops a bunch of characters even if it's for story reasons.
We haven't had a game with a full, not-arcade mode-blurb story in over a decade. Let us be.
I could have sworn I saw a manga page about Hiroyama meeting Takeuchi and Takeuchi telling him what they don't allow in stories and I'm pretty sure vampires was one of them. So maybe they're discouraging people writing about that side of the world.
Don't know which i'd choose between the first and second. The softer hair in the first one is nice.
After looking at it longer, I think I'd be okay with 5 even if 3/4 are the best like you said.
But then it's Arc, so she's always good.
2 looks, I don't know, imbalanced to me.
Her head does look a little big without the dress to offset the hair style. stop making me change my mind dammit.
Sorry. I didn't actually make the image myself, otherwise I would have.
Don't really see the point in complaining it about it, since it's not like it'd solve anything. Most of the more vocal haters are just people who can't accept a bit of change. They're probably just being stubborn for the sake of being stubborn.
3 is fine. Good, even. I'd still prefer the Melty designs. What's really unforgivable is Ciel's redesign. It's utter shit.
Curious about redesigns of other characters like Arihiko, Roa/SHIKI and Nrvnqsr.
Something about her looks off. She looks too much like a meek classmate or even underclassman rather than giving off a noticeably more mature vibe. This is largely a personal impression though, so it's not like I expect everyone to feel the same way.
That said, this is a school uniform variant of the design and her tone might change dramatically when she's in Burial Agent garb, Black Keys and all. Could be that the years of Melty in me just makes me expect her to always look fairly serious in a way that isn't expressed in her schoolgirl design.
4 is best, im a fan of long skirts.
Yeah, I loved it. I thought the finale made up for any part I might have thought was boring/tedious. Also Caren
The second closest thing to perfect in the Nasuverse.
And here is the closest thing to perfection.
Ilya is pretty nice but THIS is the closest to perfection.
Nigga you have impecable taste.
This is fine too.
I like Karen just a little more. She's basically like Kirei, but a cute girl.
Are you sure? Could be painful.
What kind of fat?
It already kinda is.
Nasu literally said he wanted to turn his shit into something like Marvel comics
Take that as you will and just remember the Tsukihime Remake is never coming, just like the translation and rest of Mahoyo
In the past six months we've gotten four different Fate light novels each by different people and none of them the original author.
It's more like Nasu's trying to make his own Marvel or DC. He gives people a premise and setting, tells them to go wild, and makes bank doing so.
>Could be painful.
Well, I'm kind of an M so that doesn't sound so bad.
Apocrypha, Strange Fake, Case Files, Labyrinth.
Mind you that's just LNs. In that time we've also gotten the UBW TV series, several new manga that I myself can't even keep up with, and we're getting a phone game sometime soon too.
If you say so.
I'm in the same boat as you.
>Let us be
Why? You're not letting us be
Any time something new comes out it's "Nasu a fucking hack, fuck everything that isn't the Tsukihime remake already, Fate hasn't been good for years now, stop it".
Still four years to go for the dead-line he's set on the remake, he'll keep going until the end if he can. Tsuki fans are impatient in a shitty way because Nasu says "Coming out in the next ten years", two years pass by and they've already started in on "He's forgotten us that hack, how long does it even take to make a game, he's forgotten everything about us true fans, and the only good story he's ever made is entirely forgotten. It'll never happen now that shit".
Meanwhile he occasionally writes about how he's working on it in his BBS diary, and if you tell Tsuki fans that they go even further into "Fuck that hack, he's forgotten".
It's a lot of misplaced stuff
That one and this one make me cum buckets.
Will she still be OP enough to fight Servants with someone else's body?
And with some Kotomine family hijinks I'm out.
>people literally thought and felt FHA was an alien dude fucking the heroines that Nasu had to backtrack a bit about it being another dude fucking the Fate heroines with a bullshit explanation
>years later, proceeds to have his Fate heroines get fucked by other dudes or be shipped with other dudes
It's kind of neat how it's referencing things like KnK and Apocrypha, but this just reeks of cashgrab. Taking the face of Prototype and the face of Fate and just shoving them together? No thank you.
Of course, if it ever gets translated I'm probably still going to read it, because I'm a slave and despite the shitty premise it looks like it's actually going to be really heavy on how the World works.
>Saber has a million clones
>Sakura got a million clones in CCC
When will the era of the Rin clone begin?
You will take your one clone and you will like it.
But she doesn't even have the same hair color.
You ever have a favourite series, only to have it milked to death and back?
But that's still Rin.
Also still Rin.
I don't count Saber Alter, Saber Lily, Saber Lion, or any of those as Saber clones. Just Nero, Mordred, Grey, Sakura Saber, Majin Saber, and sometimes Jeanne.
Not /a/ related, but I used to love Halo when it was just the first three.
My brothers and I played it all the time. The campaigns and online stuff.
Now I hate what has been done to it.
You ever have a favorite series, but thirty percent of every thread after awhile is just "This went to shit ages ago, stop making it, it was always shit, milked to death hack shit that's stupid, fuck this"
If you didn't like it or just come into threads talking about how you dislike it now because it's still going, why are you here? You could be checking out a series you actually like instead.
Sometimes you have to accept it for what it is. You either keep reading it and participating, or you don't. This is a thing with DBZ as well; Battle of gods was too comedy for them, so Toriyama gave them their big power level movie now and they say that's stupid now go back to what it was before, there's not going to be a right answer.
TM has just kept doing what they've wanted to here. We're either into it, or we don't need to participate in threads because we're not into it anymore.

Hold on a second, something just clicked.
Did she possess Ryougi Shiki?
At first I just thought the "one-room apartment that felt like the Root" was a pointless reference like the ones to Sieg and Rhongomyniad, but then I reread the first bit and noticed Manaka was connected to the Root.
And then I realized that, logically, she would have had to come out through something else connected to the Root.
I'm suddenly a whole lot more interested in this.
Tohno doesn't live in a one-room apartment.
