Episode 2 in 3 hours
What do you expect?
Best girl, also reveal of the OP/ED by Sawano
>Orphan family dies in episode one.
>School episode the next.
I just can't.
Yeah he's finally changed it up, This OST gonna be great.
Exactly, I get that they want to show that vampires regenerate, but one time would be enough. He didn't have to stare at her and giver her time to heal up every time after he landed a hit.
Looks like it flowed a lot better in the manga at least. There weren't any awkward pauses to watch vampires regenerate or anything.
Did WIT run out of budget? Where were all these people in the background? I only counted 3 or 4.
Why would you even watch Owari no Seraph if you're not down with homolust? It's called セラ腐 for a reason.
>The suspension won't get lifted until you make a friend.
Here we fucking GO.
slept with Mahiru in the LN
Is it just me or is it quite obvious that this whole "Go to school, make a friend" was just Guren's excuse to keep him from participating in the vampire extermination whatsit?
Go easy on me, animeonly here.
Why did they put a school right next to the vampire research facility?
The OP animation doesn't seem to match the song. And I was really hoping they would speed up the pace. At this pace, it's questionable if they would even catch up to the manga, let alone going further than it that Kagami has to write them some drafts.
Some parts of this seriously felt like something that I would have written while I was in primary.
>I was talking to my friends outside when suddenly vampires attacked my school! I ran to my locker and grabbed my katana and my gun and then looked for vampires to fight.
Pre-season a few anons were saying how this will be the "next AoT" just because it's by WIT, has Sawano doing the OST again and has a similar setting, but AoT wasn't this absolutely god awful in the first two episodes
Nah, Glen doesn't want to keep him out of vampire hunter squad, because he needs to heckle Yuu into unlocking the Seraph power at some point.
But vampires (ones who aren't starved for blood and weak like the one in the school) are so much stronger than humans that humans have to work in squads to defeat them. Glen really did need Yuu to have friends before he could be an effective vampire hunter.
There's also the issue of their weapons, which I think will come up next episode. To use a cursed weapon like Glen's, the user needs to mentally confront the demon powering the weapon. Someone who had only negative feelings like revenge would be eaten up. Yuu getting a more positive, forward-looking worldview at the end of this episode is essential to his ability to successfully use a cursed weapon, and thus kill vampires.
In the context of this universe -- needing a cohesive team to effectively kill vampires, needing a reasonably positive mind to control a vampire-killing weapon -- it makes sense that Glen forced Yuu to make friends.
Glen is probably keikaku'ing a bunch of other shit, too, so I wouldn't be surprised if he orchestrated Yuu bumping into Yoichi, who has a similar backstory to Yuu, so that Yuu would realize how ridiculous his own drive for revenge is.
This. It's not that it's 'edgy' as so many people say because 'muh buzzword' but it just feels like they took all the shounen tropes and cliches possible and made it into an anime. I'll keep on watching because I want to see if it maybe gets better when Mika reappears but so far it really is subpar.
>Beta skinny guy fails it the first time.
>Oh hey you jumped on a Vampire who didn't notice you welcome aboard to the crew.
>Pre-season a few anons were saying how this will be the "next AoT"
Literally no one but shitposters who always exclaim this in full caplocks and constantly make those "Is this the new Snk?" threads with the first picture they find on google.
Yoichi is on a list of Hyakuya-experiment-children in the LN, and has higher demon-communing powers than the MC. Glen probably knew that Yoichi had high potential and deliberately flunked him so that he could orchestrate Yoichi and Yuu meeting up and becoming friends.
> suspension until you make friends
> got beaten and ended uo errand boy
Fuck this shit.
This is AOTS for sure.
This is the only gay part. The rest is just standard shounen shit op
That's her sister.
Every Anime now has CGI. It's unavoidable. Knights of Sidonia is 100% CGI but it's pretty good.
She may awaken her demon power like her sister but so far she is just a normal girl, other girl in her team are jobber too, the three guys in her team are all strong because they are special children.
Its not just semen that she goes after.
Was kinda expecting that, Crowley is too observant for his own good.
Kamizuki, Yoichi and Mitsuba fade into irrelevance so quickly though.
At least as the manga is right now. Shinoa is the one getting as much focus as Yuu and Mika since she suspects Glen's plans and she is the one Yuu asked to help him get Mika back.
Danmachi all over gain. Only such godsent can make me enjoy this piece of shit.
Mangafags , she isnt kill later in the volumes, right?
The amount of focus on Mika in the OP makes no sense. If they are following the manga Yuu's side should be the one getting the most focus this cour and then Mika would be the one getting the most focus in the second cour
Not to mention Yuu will be activating his Seraph mode at the end of this cour
>/a/ hates Seraph of the End now
What happened? I thought we were enjoying it?
Animation was solid like episode 1, OST and backgrounds are nice. I like Guren and that girl with purple hair, but I'm still waiting for the story to begin. Very few QUALITY cuts, and outside of that horrible crowd there isn't much CG. Looks like WIT learned their lesson.
The opening has god tier song and animation, and the ending is nice despite being not animated.
I actually have no idea. An anon said that in the LNs, Glen has a list of experiment kids that has Yuu, Mika, Yoichi, Yoichi's sister, Kimizuki, and Kimizuki's sister on it. Also in one of the manga chapters (I think when Felid shows the Progenitor Council footage of Yuu going Seraph), there's an explicit mention that the Hyakuya Church was experimenting on people.
If you ever let /a/ tell you what you can or cannot like then you're doing it wrong anyway.
The ol' bait and switch.
What the hell is this shit?
OP is nothing special, but has some neat cuts and transitions. It's good.
It's nice to be pandered to.
Who is this Baroness of ballsacks?
I'm glad Mika finally killed some vamps was worried he wouldn't be able to for some stupid reason.
It's as cliche shounen as you get and the anime has been pretty dam accurate so far.
I'm watching this shit for the backgrounds.
Well we still don't know what or who caused the virus since everyone seems to be lying about something but demons showed up shortly after and started fucking everything up. Vampires had to gather up humans or their food supply would go extinct.
>but why did the MC became tsundere?
I don't know what you are talking about
>When are we expecting some LN things in the anime?
zero chance, it's copyright under SHUEISHA, LN is Kodansha
So, his best friend will come back as a vampire, and then what? I can't possibly wait to watch the rest of this trainwreck, someone post the manga page, please. Or tell me which chapter they meet again.
Really, I think she manages to make them more enjoyable. She does a great smug holier than thou alpha bitch. Just sit back and accept that whatever character she voices is better than everyone
>brushstrokes and paper-texture in the background
>Jobs to Mika,Felid,Crowley after being hyped so much
>Gets a harem and waifu sword
Why is this allowed?
His friend want to save him from humans, he wants to save his friend from vampires but gonna take a while since MC needs to gather party members and get weapons first.
The smugness should have made it clear.
People are saying that it's vampires for fujoshi's, so it's to be expected.
The background art style for this series is really superb.
Missed EP1's threads last week, so i'll post them as well.
I still find the huge pipes everywhere in the underground city kinda ugly.
>Hey lets put decorated bridges with stone statues and such.
>Now put huge pipes everywhere like a tentacle monster.
When were Shinoa and Mitsuba ever Guren's supports?
>Saving your possessed buddy with the power of friendship
Is the author just going down a checklist of cliches or something? Smug girl is literally the only redeeming factor in this.
