This was much better than I thought it would be.
Setting helps a lot too.
Reminder to watch the ED of the season
Daily reminder to thank Zapp and
White is the softest
Anime isn't as clear as the manga.
This was supposed to be the new recruit.
Thank you, Zapp!
My take is this, but other anons didn't agree.
Can't wait for blue man to show up
>Four dollars and eighty cents to put Oreos in you coffee
Why don't people just bring their own Oreos?
Unfortunately, he probably won't make an appearance until towards the end or at least the second half, since he's the newest Libra member and there's a bunch of stories before he debuts.
Yeah what was with that. I'm pretty fucking confused as towards what was with that caption.
I am so happy I have something to look forward to every weekend
I'm just starting the first episode now and
>nobody opens fire while the subject is walking threateningly towards them
this is nothing like the cops I know
>not knowing that when you are doing a cool monologue, the opponent is obliged to wait until you're finished.
How many fucking Kekkai threads are there today?
Also, fuck this MC is too moe, and I've been playing the ED on repeat for the last hour now.
I love the MC and especially in the ED.
He's just like me: a bit clumsy, slightly socially awkward, probably my height too and he wears the suit like a pro.
I probably found my first self-insert.
Fuck this shit.
That's good, I guess.
any news on if this is going to be a one coeur deal?
Because I find that kinda strange given that it's a reknown mangaka and there's over 10 volumes of material they could cover.
This ED is the fucking bee's knees.
Unknown. Someone mentioned a rumor that it might be split cour but I didn't see a source attached.
If sales are good enough I'm sure they have enough material to do a proper 2nd season anyway.
I wish I could dance with MC.
I wish I could dance like MC. ;_;
She's a child at heart.
Awkward pacing and atmosphere. Story is just bizarre enough to keep me curious but, not necessarily interested. First episode was lacking depth and this one didn't remotely make up for it. At this point I'm just watching for the background scenery and that dance during the ED.
Maybe if there's some actually character/plot development and a little explanation as to why this kid is all of a sudden so intertwined and dependent on the organization that he just became a part of one episode ago, I'll start to take it a bit more seriously. Until then, the nice pictures and sweet moves will be holding most of my attention.
What does that have to do with anything I said?
Fair warning. Most people who have read the manga said that it's rather episodic, so if you keep watching and don't get enough plot development to suit your palate, you've only yourself to blame.
I don't mean atmosphere as in just the physical environment, but the mood as well. As in the interaction between the main characters and also the aliens that they're fighting (?) against. I don't get the sense that these people are involved in their surroundings or really communicating with each other. There's a disconnect between the elements.
That's good to know. I do like the plot concept and the animation so I'll give it at least another episode but if it's truly episodic then that's too bad because it seems to have potential beyond that. Oh well. We'll see how it plays out. Thanks for the warning.
AOTS easily and it's only two episodes in.
I hope that there's more Chain. And more Yu Kobayashi. I would listen to her read the phonebook.
Mangafolks, none of the main crew die early on right? I am loving the ensemble and I don't want it to break early.
they didn't miss anything from the manga in the second episode I think. They missed this gem though. This action scene looked better in the manga.
nobody dies from the crew.
This is the second thing they missed to adapt this episode. And they had more than enough time.
but there's quite enough death flags for some people in the crew.
Easily enjoyed it more than most other anime this season. OST and animation are fantastic.
Still too early to call out AOTS though, personally. Depending on execution, even Etotama and Re-kan! could be my AOTS in a few weeks.
Theme of Blood Blockade Battlefront
Catch Me If You Can
This show is kinda messy and boring, i will give it one more episode and then drop it
ye, I just said last week I'll be posting what they miss in the adaptation, that's all. You don't see me calling it shit or anything. Just small remarks as to what wasn't adapted.
As for what they missed - they will probably nail Klauss' frightening side next episode.
Now I finally know of what show from last year this reminded me off.
Kekkai Sensen really does feel quite a bit like Tokyo ESP.
Why is the fanbse for this show so fucking cancerous? Go back to anitwitter you stupid pieces of shit that think watching Shirobako and reading the downright ignorant typical anitwitter comment makes you know anything at all about cinematography or animation.
The presence of the aliens and the monsters is completely arbitrary; they're superficially colorful but there is no logic to the society and there is no real world building beyond drawing one or two aliens in the background once in a while.
Guys, this show is hard to follow. is full of fucking plotholes.
where does the pizza go after Dante puts it in the mouth? how can those vehicles move if they don't have legs? and what's that edgy bullshit of little boxes with fire inside?
So what did he actually do here to break the illusion?
The kanji above "Cock Suck" are 馬鹿, and literally translate as baka, which I assume all of you know what it means. So yeah, a terrible case of nips attempting English.
I wish there was a good mp3 file for the ending but this is pretty much all I can get.
He didn't necessarily broke it. They just couldn't focus on keeping the illusion going after he fucked their vision over. You notice the car transforms into a demonomobile right after they reach that tunnel.
In the manga it's a bit more clear as to what he really did - he made them see lots of nasty stuff (not sure what exactly, could be anything from a shitload of shit to so much stuff at the same time that would create headaches and make them puke)
>comments about Cake sensei being hard to follow
>open episode 2
>rip pc from the table
>throw it down the window
>it crashes on the walkway
>take some run-up in the kitchen and jump down the window to follow it
>a bus passes by in that moment
>I smash through its roof and land on a empty seat
>controller guy asks for tickets
>check my pockets, only there's only pizza
>throw two slices on the ground, jump on them and slide away from the window
>"hasta la vista baby"
>run max speed to go back to the pc
>niggers stole the tires out of it
>it can't fucking run anything anymore
>suddenly a troupe of clowns come out of the fog
>they start moving the computer's smashed corpse like a infernal ballerina with epilepsy
>they start pantomiming so hard the pieces of the computer fly around like bullets piercing buildings
>my home collapses on me and the clowns that survived
>while the ambulance arrives, they crawl near me to beatbox in my ear and touch me in socially acceptable places- it makes me uncomfortable
>at the hospital I have to browse internet with the EKG machine
>it can't run anything but windows media player classic
this shit is impossible to follow
The proper translation is Hellsalem's Lot.
The official manga translation uses Jerusalem's Lot, but the author probably intended it to be a pun that doesn't translate to English with Hellsalem (J's in japanese are like H's), and didn't convey it properly. Jerusalem's Lot sounds better.
It's not called New York anymore. Once the gate opened, everything changed there. We don't know exactly what happened but it was rechristened 'Hellsalem's Lot'. It was a reference in Japanese to Stephen King's Jerusalem's Lot. Jerusalem is pronounced "eruseiremu" while in the show they say "heruseiremu".
Apparently HL is the official translation but Dark Horse has it translated as Jerusalem in the manga.
Yeah, I'm gonna go with Dark Horse here. Although realistically, I think people would keep on calling it New York and maybe only the neighborhood where the tunnel is would get a new name.
