>>123937269 Seriously talking if somehow Shirou survives to all the stupid shit he does in fate Jeanne would still have to kill herself with La Pucelle against Berserker since she doesn't have anything to kill him 12 times
>>123938838 Dunno, Jeanne's luck is even more bullshit than Saber, and with her voice NP she might just try to let Lancer go or find a way to prevent him from using Gay Bulge.
That said, with all the love I have for Jeanne, I wonder why she would take part in the 5th Grail War in the first place. She has nothing to regret, even though she died her prophecy was eventually accomplished, and France is still a thing. What would she even wish for ?
Jeanne can't fight for shit. Did you read history? All she did was wave a banner. Lancer would kick her sorry ass in battle. He doesn't need to activate Gae Bolg, he can beat her up until she dies. The only thing that would save her would be Kotomine's command spells that forced him to retreat.
You're used to shit on Seiba, but she's actually good in combat unlike the frog.
>>123939333 I think I remember that they actually can't be summoned if they don't wish for the Grail. Why would they even fight if they don't want to take part in the war in the first place ? In both the 4th and 5th wars all servants have a wish that is at least connected to the war in some way (saving britain, fighting, killing gingerhead, protecting Sakura, etc.).
>fighting Bersercar in the ruins >Jeanne is in a dai pinchi! >Bersercar's roars stilled as the world starts shaking and a misty atmosphere begins swirling in a counterclockwise rotation around the battlefield >everyone pauses and looks around trying to figure out what the fuck is going on >on the edge of hearing, someone picks up on a barely-detectable wail that sounds like 'NUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU' >it keeps growing louder and louder until the wail drowns out even Berzerkar's deafening yaulps >suddenly a dazzling golden darkness rips open a hole in the fabric of the universe and and uncountable number of tentacles fly out and grab bersercar
>>123939411 She also lead troops (even got her own troops at some points) and since she was on the frontlines it's hard to believe that she didn't fight at all, especially later one when she had her own soldiers.
But that said, we are talking about Nasu's and Takeuchi's Jeanne, not the real one. Because if we are start doing this, then Arthur is a man, Medea don't have bullshit overpowered magic, and Medusa isn't a greek ninja.
>>123939784 Heroic Spirits chill in the Throne of Heroes, Grail creates pirated copies of them who then fight in the war, then they all die in the war and the Heroic Spirits up in the Throne of Heroes get the memories of what their copies on Earth did after the war is over.
>That was the truth. If she had just shut her ears from the voice and abandoned those soldiers to their lamentations - for what salvation could they possibly have? - she would have gone through her life, got married and lived with husband and child. It would only be natural. She knew that she once had such a future as well. >But she abandoned it in favor of pressing down a different path. >She chose to take up a sword, put on armor, raise a standard and mount a horse on the front line. >...Did you know that it would end this way? >Yes. Of course she did. She knew that as long as she fought on, this end would come to her. So of course, others would decry her for stupidity. However, she herself would never stoop to self-derision. >"There had still been lives that I saved... so it cannot have been a mistake to walk this path."
Here she was on the front line, she used a sword alongside her standard, she fought. It doesn't matter that things went differently IRL because Nasu history is all fucked up. His Jeanne d'Arc is a fighter AND a standard carrier.
She also has a thing for saving people and sacrificing herself, she and Shirou would get along very well. Winning the war is another matter altogether, her super duper offensive NP is useable only once and off her.
The best thing to do is to sex her before she gets killed. Or finding allies. Rin would surely want to bed her, that slut.
>>123940321 Because Saber made a pact before dying in order to take part in the war, wich is also why she retain memories of every war she partakes in. >>123940369 Her NP would probably be the climax, with her sacrificing herself to destroy the Grail.
>>123940321 because she's not dead yet, she literally went back to the camelot battle after loosing the 4rth war and back to the 5th just an instant later to partner with shirou, she made a pact with the world or the throne itself before dying to be a servant in exchange of getting her wish so she the world put her into the grail war so she fights for her wish, that after the 4th war was she never becoming a king in the first place. So basically her whole character in FSN is based on a few seconds of regretting her entire existence while still alive, that's why she can't turn into a spirit in the first place.
Jeanne: How can this be…? Jeanne: To think I was actually not such a famous Heroic Spirit in the East… Jeanne: What were you doing, Xavier? Shirou: Sorry, seems I mistook you for someone else! Jeanne: I don’t think I can be that easily mistaken for King Arthur though… My chest, for example… Jeanne: No, but still, I’m Jeanne d’Arc, you know?! From the Hundred-Year War?! Jeanne: When you think “hero of France”, you think me, right?! Shirou: Sorry. But I do know of Napoleon! Jeanne: Even that little man?! Jeanne: Grrr… Jeanne: Here! Please look at this flag, it’s an amazing Noble Phantasm! Jeanne: One wave of this even made Gilles so full of spirit he went France BASARA on the enemy camp and it was a huge mess! Shirou: Sorry, it’s kinda plain. A sword that shoots beams is easier to understand! Jeanne: Waaaaah! Fine! Jeanne: Stupid, stupid! Pink hair! I’m never coming back to this countryyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy! Shirou: Sorry, pretty foreign ladyyyyyyy! I don’t really get it, but sorryyyyyyyy!
>>123940629 >Text before this post: Jeanne: So I, the maiden of Orleans, Jeanne d’Arc… Jeanne: …am using the Heroic Spirit vacation time that I recieve for completing my work as Ruler to come here to Fuyuki on holiday. Shirou: ? Jeanne: Of course, as France’s biggest celebrity, I haven’t forgotten to disguise myself to hide my identity. Jeanne: It wouldn’t do to see “Shocker! Saint Descends In Far-East Land!” as the headline on tomorrow’s morning newspaper, after all. Jeanne: Despite appearances, I’m the worldwide super-famous Heroic Spirit Jeanne d’Arc, you know? Jeanne: It’s so haaard. It’s so haaard to hide my identity even when I’m on vacation. Jeanne: It’s so haaard to have to hide my name for a different reason than Servants. Jeanne: Oh, this boy…(gasp)?! Could he be… Jeanne: …a young soldier who was affected by my holy aura, couldn’t contain himself, and rushed to serve under my banner?! Shirou: ? Jeanne: Oh well, there’s not much I can do about it, I am a worldwide super famous Heroic Spirit after all. Jeanne: Anyone who saw the maiden of Orleans walking wearily along the road would pledge to rush through a fleeting yet intense life like a flame in service to her sacred banner, wouldn’t they? Shirou: Ah! I remember! I’ve seen you on TV! Jeanne: Right?! Of course you would. Jeanne: It’s so haaard, it’s so haaard having my uncontainable super famous Heroic Spirit aura (divinity) seep out even if I try to hide it. Jeanne: But I’m in the Ruler position, so I can’t participate directly. Jeanne: Even if you said “if I’m gonna summon anyone it’s gotta be the maiden of Orleans, it’s just common sense!”… Jeanne: …and wanted to summon me, it seems that’s impossible as far as the system goes, so please give up, okay…um…little boy from this country? Shirou: You’re King Arthur, right?! They showed you on that anime on TV! You’re actually a girl, right, I know I know! Jeanne: Damn you, England!
>>123937269 Shirou: Lancer: Jeanne: I will ask you. Might you be my Master? Shirou: Jeanne: Or whatever. I can’t stand out if I don’t participate! Jeanne: Being Ruler feels more like a punishment. I wanted to try competing for the grail too sometime! Jeanne: Oh, my Noble Phantasm? Don’t worry, I brought a really flashy one. Jeanne: Look at this one-time-use Crimson– Ah, this was a self-destruction Noble Phantasm! (tee-hee) Shirou: Wait wait wait. Jeanne: It might finally be coming! The Jeaaaaaaaaanne boom! Jeanne: There’ll be a Red Jeanne and a Sakura Jeanne, gosh, guess there’s no helping it since I’m such a popular character! Jeanne: It’s so haaard, it’s so haaard being popular, I’m tired of all these Jeanne clones… Jeanne: …Do you think I might be well on my way to becoming a star cash-cow like that?! Shirou & Lancer: Wait wait wait wait wait wait wait.
