This faggot is becoming a problem.
He is everywhere and I have a policy to drop any anime including him and now I find out he's the VA for a cat in the anime I've yet to drop.
>One person is enough to make you drop a series.
Do you get off public transportation because there's one talkative person?
Do you drive off the highway because one idiot full blast his radio?
OP you need medical or psychological help ASAP.
Yoshi's actually got a pretty good stress voice.
I don't mind him, as long as he's not the featured member of an ensemble.
I could fucking kiss you, OP. I can't stand this faggot's voice, and he's in EVERY FUCKING SHOW. I wouldn't mind so much if he did any other voice than "overacting teenage boy", but holy shit. He literally sounds exactly the same no matter the role. I had to stop watching that Danmachi show because I couldn't fucking stand his voice.
>the main character of a series having a dogshit seiyuu is enough to make you drop it
Is there something wrong with that?
He's going to marry Archangel Kayanon and there's nothing you guys can do about it.
Honestly though, if you listened to his live shows you would like this guy. I love it when people like Aynaru and Uchida Maaya bully him because of his gynophobia, then when Kayanon is around they're 癒やし as fuck.
It's hilarious that Kayanon was excited as hell when Matsuoka accepted her offer for a date.
OP is beyond strong opinion, he has developed irrational hatred of a person to the point that he would give up everything to avoid him. This is not normal and is a sign of mental disorder.
Get the fuck out. He's an amazing seiyuu.
He did a good job voicing Chaos;Child MC
Other than that he is complete shit, his voice in Saekano was torture for me.
If you look up 'chemistry' in the dictionary of anime, there's a picture of these two.
Why would you even care about seiyuus? I could probably recognize the dude that voices sauce/shirou/Ishida and that hanasomething bitch.
It's seriously retarded, I couldn't give a fuck about who voices who as long as the voice fits the character(thing it does 99,9% of the time because 99,9% of seiyuus are good at their job)
>doesn't have a mental disorder
>he doesn't watch dubs
>he puts up with horrible jap voice actors
Oh man neo-/A/ is real
She knows exactly how to push his buttons and brings out the best in him.
>He honestly did a better job as Kirito than any of the shows he's done since.
His side character in DxD was amazing. I liked the MC of KamiMemo a lot too. Though both of these were before Kirito.
>he's the VA for a cat in the anime I've yet to drop
I don't really like him either but I watched his stuff with Kayano a while back and I like him a bit better now. It depends on the role as well, he was pretty good in Saekano. Even fucking Kaji is great as Shuu.
Only one I can not tolerate is picture related.
I kinda wish they play as a main couple in another anime. Saekano kinda fall flat on that part. Utaha was the readers' favorite, but Megumi is Maruto's daugtheru, and the anime bias (cause Maruto did the script) is pretty much ridiculous
that I got converted to be a Megumi fag.
I didn't even notice this was him at the time. I didn't mind him as Lubbock in AgK, either. There's a certain type of voice he uses that makes me want to shoot myself, and it's how he voices the majority of his characters.
It's just the SAO effect. I can't enjoy Tomatsu and Sawashiro's voice for weeks after watching it. I'm glad Rina Hidaka and Ayahi didn't get that effect cause they're pretty much irrelevant there.
Well deserved award. Kayanon is not getting enough roles, and I seriously find it cute that Matsuoka is literally visible very uncomfortable with any other female shows but her.
That Gangan GA episode where he was there literally sitting way the fuck away or in another room I almost feel bad for him.
And it's always been around, did you arrive yesterday here Mr. New Anon? Remember MaouYuusha and Horizon with FukuJun and Koshimizu Ami?
Man, I swear you could replace this guy's name with "Yuki Kaji" and we'd be having a repeat of like three years ago except replace SAO with Guilty Crown. Or Hetalia.
It was generally Guilty Crown though.
This. After I listening No Radio No Life my whole opinion of him is changed. He's awkward funny. And most people bully him in live show.
And I think the only female VA who can handle him is Kayanon.
>I can't enjoy Tomatsu and Sawashiro's voice for weeks after watching it
Well first of all, you could have, like, not watched it.
Second of all, it's not like those two got famous from SAO like this guy did so you should have had an idea of their voice already and them being in it was just one role you didn't like.
This ebin meme worked with Yuuki Kaiji because he has a super nasal voice + getting casted as a lot of beta.
Matsuoka actually has a pretty good voice, if nothing to write home about, and his roles aren't anything to offensive like say, Shuu.
Holy shit autism.
Alvin being an awful character in Xillia didn't ruin Sugita for me.
People pair of Sugita and Kobyashi all the time (even though his heart belongs to Asami Imai).
And how about when SuzuKen and Maaya Sakamoto got married and like everybody was happy about it? (mainly because they voiced a lot of pairings where their characters got together but still)
>This is only an /a/ thing
Oh I'm so sorry I didn't know this was a Japan only thing
>Matsuoka actually has a pretty good voice
My problem if I had one would be that he sounds the exact same in every role he is in, except unlike someone like say Kamiyan, his voice isn't distinctive enough to be entertaining
>Well first of all, you could have, like, not watched it.
I had to say I regretted it.
My friendsaid second season was better than the first, so I powered through but by the time GGO arc ended I can't stomach it anymore.
>Second of all, it's not like those two got famous from SAO like this guy did so you should have had an idea of their voice already and them being in it was just one role you didn't like.
Maybe. Both of them spouting garbage lines made me frustrated I guess.
This guy ruins my enjoyment of an anime. It's not because muh Kirito voice, I just find it extremely grating and he always plays that beta male.
Like holy fuck imagine if Hestia was MC and not that faggot.
It's important to remember people generally don't know what the fuck they're talking about.
This also reminds
>only a year ago Sora Amamiya wasn't overrated as fuck
The only thing about Matsuoka that should bother anyone is that he was fortunate enough to be slapped by Aoi Yuuki.
Man remember when Rie Kugimiya was like literally everywhere?
I like how around here she went from beloved to annoyed to hated and back to beloved once she started getting less roles (or less prominent roles at least. She's in like, what, 3 shows this season?)
As someone who has been listening to Kugyuu for over a decade my opinion of her has never been negatively affected at any point. It's probably just the casual complainers being too newshit.
You can't expect everybody to like Kugyu's voice (at least her type-cast one), it's clearly not something for everybody.
Kugyu and Noto used to be everywhere. I really miss Noto.
>and Noto used to be everywhere
>mfw Noto is kill and will never be as prominent as she was in the late 00s
That angelic heavenly voice man
You can't be shit when you have literal perfection.
>Why would you even care about seiyuus?
If you're a seiyuu and don't have vocal range, you shouldn't have become a seiyuu. I am not going to listen to a seiyuu who voice never changes. I want to be surprise and say "I didn't know that seiyuu voiced x."
No I don't want to have to accept what age people born in 1988 are now.
I find it funny that he looks cross-eyed in that picture. Other than that I never really have to care about him much since I don't watch that much light novel or harem anime. He's only really everywhere if you continuously subject yourself to that sort of thing, though considering this is /a then yeah he's everywhere for most people here.
You can get past image filters real easily by just changing any small detail about the image.
If there's even one pixel different from the le angry frog you filtered, I think the one you're replying to wouldn't get filtered.
That works for getting around a duplicate image message, anyway
Ah so there's more like me out there. Sometimes I find laughing at the shitposting to be kind of amusing though. Other times I find myself wondering if people can at least feign trying to have a real discussion. Overall though man is this fanbase fucking stupid. It sometimes takes a lot to not let me dark side get the better of me and try to troll them because goddamn people will believe absolutely anything they read un-ironically and be blissfully unaware of how to split second fact check something to see if it's true or not.
Kayano isn't even all that good or distinctive. She has her own distinct legacy of shitty as fuck roles in I guess popular shows or at least massively over hyped ones left in her wake.
If it weren't for Aniplex I doubt she'd even be of note at all. Almost all of her roles come from them plugging her as a main (otherwise she's like Student A or Girl B and the like) and hyping her as the next big thing strictly because she's signed to their record label and they clearly want her to be their first major poster child idol seiyu that they largely control the destiny and image of. It's incredibly blatant and obvious and to some degree a shame because she really does seem to have some talent and is just kind of stuck being their bitch.
I think her only main roles outside of the Aniplex umbrella have been the edgy main girls in Tokyo Ghoul and Akame Ga Kill.
> I want to be surprise and say "I didn't know that seiyuu voiced x."
that only work for seiyuu that have no distinctive voice, seiyuu with distinctive voice eventhough they use their range fans still can guess those are their voice. Seiyuu with no distinctive voice a lot of time you don't know they voice characters because most of them sound similar with each other.
Because casting is fun? Same reason people like to try to come up with live-action casts for things, though as the Hollywood talent pool is almost empty these days I find that less fun now.
>Kayano isn't even all that good
Man she didn't go from zero to one of the most employed seiyuu in the industry instantly for no reason. She does everything well.
Distinctive? Not when she's using her range necessarily, no.
What's her cowboy in Blade & Soul was a main character and pretty well voiced by the standards of anything in that show that wasn't Aoi Yuuki and Yuki Takao being kakkoi as fuck (in hindsight this seems like it was basically one of two voices—normal and delinquent—I can even remember hearing out of her though). She was basically a main character in the im@s movie trainwreck as well but Ibuki Kido overshadows her pretty badly there.
>Even fucking Kaji is great as Shuu.
You seem to share the same hate and opinion as I do. Kaji was great as Shuu. Other than that, I am sick of his goddamn voice. The more genki the more I want him to leave.
He has a point. Some foreign things appear better than they are because you don't understand them. Like Sawashiro gets shit from her japanese anti for bad pronunciation, but anons can't comprehend that.
>Literally refusing to watch and showing open hatred towards a show because of a single voice actor
>Not just realizing you can mute it and read the subs anyway since it's not like you can understand japanese being the retard that you are
You guys just hate on Matsuoka-kun because you are ONLY exposed to his voice acting in anime.
But once you learn enough Japanese to watch his live events and listen to his radio shows, you will know he could be your best bro in real life.
>ranked 12th in female votes
>ranked 1st in male votes
You can get a shitty impression of any seiyuu if they play a crap character in a crap show with crap lines.
Some seiyuu are completely incapable on their own, until they get a good sound director with a good script.
She has her cringeworthy moments, like this scene.
