>>124055891 that anime was fucking shit don't ever fucking bring it up again. I cant fucking believe there are people that have the testicles to claim DEEN has done anything passable, let alone a fucking masterpiece nigga gtfo.
>>124055968 >>124055929 Except it was much better than the stinking pile of pure shit covered garbage that was the original. Shounen trope after shounen trope and shitty battles lasting 10 episodes, accented some garbage writing made the original unbearable to watch. Lasted long enough to finish the atrocious second season then dropped it faster than a steaming pile of shit. And no, just because you watched it as a kid on fucking toonami DOESNT make it good. Anyone who watched it after having seen over 200 anime would despise the original Rurouni Shitshin
>>124056581 Trust and Betrayal was also shit, and as >>124055929 pointed out it was made by DEEN, while the TV series was done by Gallop save for the third season composed entirely of filler and isn't worth discussing.
>>124057137 >I honestly found Shishio and his faction more enjoyable than Kenshin's gang of losers.
I can agree, but I also feel bad because Kaoru and Misao never got to shine in their own battles. They had to share Katamari.
Further more, I feel like Shishio's gang only truly shined WHEN they were pitted against Kenshin's loser friends.
>Kenshin and Shishio I can't properly word this one but, yeah, they played on one another pretty well.
>Sano and Anji Both were betrayed by the new government, both drowned themselves in quests for strength and power though for different reasons.
>Saito and Usui Both are fighting for their own enemies, but each one does it for different reasons. Saito is the graceful loser and accepts its better to work with the system he's given than constantly try to spark a new fight. Usui though submitted out of fear/chance for revenge, and yearned though dreaded his own goal.
>Katamari vs. Kaoru and Misao All three ultimately feel helpless to work with those close to them but accept doing what little they can.
>Yahiko and Bombvoyage/Japanese Rocket Jumper Okay, I got nothing on these two, I guess in hindsight, while Yahiko's fight with the dude was cool, there wasn't the connection.
>>124057854 Indeed, definitely one of the bests, but maybe because it was among the first "modern" shonen. (it also avoided a lot of the tropes and conventions associated with modern shonen, funny enough, Like Kenshin being 28)
