Friendly reminder that Kiritsugu devoted his entire life to bringing the entire world peace - even at the cost of his happiness, his soul, and eventually his life - and is in all likelihood the most noble character to exist in all of anime.
I think it's really sad that Kiri was never able to drag Ilya from the Einzbern castle. She would've grown up to be so much kinder and less bloodthirsty with Kiritsugu and Shirou as her family, probably being almost identical to her Prisma Ilya self.
Peace is stupid, without conflicts most human life would be pointless. Sure life itself is pointless in a way, but conflicts are what drives people. Also it's pretty childish to think world peace could be achieved. I once read an article where it was stated that in countries that have a high number of young adults, a war would soon break out. I think that is proof that humanity in itself will always strife for conflicts and war. The best possible solution is having the innocents be exempt from these conflicts. And that is basically the world we are trying to create now, but war will always be there.
Nah. It was pretty much the only thing he was able to inherit from his old man. The Magus Association took everything else and just left that bit of the Thaumaturgical Crest for Kerry to keep.
Apparently, out of everything that old man developed, Time Accel was the least impressive.
It wasn't about what humanity wanted. It was about what HE wanted. He didn't really care about what humanity wanted. He didn't care if humanity would have rejected his peace. He was going to MAKE humanity peaceful whether they wanted it or not. As far as he was concerned, humanity didn't really deserve a say in the matter.
Homura dedicated her entire life to saving her friend and managing the rampant curses humanity wrought - even at the cost of her own happiness, and soul, and did a much better job of it than Kerry because she actually halfway thought shit through once in her life.
He also taught him just enough magic for him to be able to hurt himself really bad but not pull off anything properly.
Either 0 or 100, Kerry. You are a sloppy little fucker. If you want to protect your son don't teach him anything, or teach him well enough to not get hurt doing it.
>Sacrificing your happiness automatically makes you noble and correct, even if you're Hitler
>Even if you never did anything right and killed far more while trying to save people than you would have if you did nothing.
That's why he placed all his bets on the Grail. His logic was that an omnipotent wish granter would SURELY be able to create world peace, even if he, himself, didn't know how.
I'd question just how he was raised, but we already know the answer to that.
He didn't really expect that, no.
It's like a child making a wish to Santa, not really caring how unreasonable his request is. It'd be almost precocious if it didn't involve the sacrifice of so many lives and completely disregarded the basic concepts of free will and human rights.
Nah. In this case, the kid's actually sacrificing the neighbour's kid for the sake of obtaining that PS4 himself. There's just the added bonus of the PS4 containing a nuke inside it set to go off the moment he opens the packaging.
