The animation in Gankutsuou was pretty good most of the time, aside from the PS1-tier GC, but I have to give them credit for the way they did the clothes. Seeing that in motion looked way too cool.
God tier for a series is like average tier for an OVA/movie. Post real god tier animation
Now look, I would agree if you said art style or visual design, but Bakemonogatari has maybe 3 or 4 sequences in the entire 15 episode that require any animation past moving mouths and people walking.
First off, you said Bakemonogatari not Monogatari series. The rest of the series had way more money and therefore far more animation than Bakemonogatari did. Also, as this anon >>124079459 says, it is good when there is animation. There's just not much of it.
Yeah, the vast majority of these are from the Monkey fight, the Snake fight, the Cat fight, or the OPs. As was said before, good when it needs to be, but usually not much going on.
>not much going on
The show has 32 well-animated enough scenes on sakugabooru.
That's 2-3 scenes per episode average.
How many show this season has that many good sakuga in one episode?
>The show has 32 well-animated enough scenes on sakugabooru.
>That's 2-3 scenes per episode average.
I literally just said that the majority of those are from the same 3 scenes. Are you even listening.
>How many show this season has that many good sakuga in one episode?
This is irrelevant. The fact that most things are shit does not make good things better than they are.
>I literally just said that the majority of those are from the same 3 scenes
And you're wrong about that. Bakemonogatari has lots of well animated scenes through out the show. Why do you think it has so many genga book?
>This is irrelevant
How? It's relevant when a most-praised show in the animation department like Kekkai Sensen only has like 2 noteworthy scenes. Bakemonogatari having 2-3 sakuga scenes per episode is damn impressive.
>And you're wrong about that.
No I'm fucking not. Go look at the link you gave me. Well over half of those clips are from 3 scenes, which I already mentioned. You can't have a conversation with someone if you won't even fucking read what they post.
Sakugabooru isn't run by some official anime expert committee who scan every show for outstanding scenes. It has whatever users want to make webms of and upload. There are a bunch of shows and movies with incredible animation that aren't on there or barely represented because the uploaders didn't watch them or care.
>Sakugabooru isn't run by some official anime expert committee who scan every show for outstanding scenes
Sure, but it's a good indication of how well-animated and how popular among sakuga fans an anime is.
>There are a bunch of shows and movies with incredible animation that aren't on there or barely represented because the uploaders didn't watch them or care
Care to name them?
>the animation is not an animation
Shit I forgot I'm on /a/.
You're underestimating how well the character movements and backdrop camera movements play into the weight of the swing. That's a well animated swing, except for the seizure part in the beginning.
