This seems really forced
Unless you're gonna try and tell me a steel beam falling in a neighborhood is something that happens often in japan
To me it seems more stupid than forced, that thing must weight a ton , literally, moreover it was in free fall, all 3 should have been crushed like bugs, but then again there is the fire in the karaoke place, where gorilla man seems to be fireproof, so whatever the author thinks it works to show the audience how awesome and strong the mc is, no need to apply common sense for that
In japanese news I read once a month stories about people crushed by beams or panels. Most of the times construction workers, sometimes people passing by. Construction sites regulations control is fucking lax here.
ur mom is badly written
>To me it seems more stupid than forced
I think being stupid is the show's selling point
That being said, i believe the show's dialogues are lacking greatly in depth and diversity
It's entirely unnecessary, though. It was already established that she fell for him for rescuing her from the stalker, there simply was no need for this. And even if you still want him to rescue her twice you could easily think of something less stupid. So why do this, there's just no advantage.
Whoa exaggeration in anime? A comedy show isn't life accurate? What the shit, call the fictional rules police right now.
>It's a comedy guys! How dare you would prefer it if the author used his brain!
Used to live in Japan. Can confirm. I was dodging steel beams on almost a daily basis. You know the opening of Donkey Kong, where he jumps across the stage and all those beams on the stage bend and warp so you can climb them? Where do you think Miyamoto got the idea?
Your mom lacks in depth of flavour
I guess you missed this part? it hits the ground first and is about to topple over.
>>a comedy anime should be realistic because
It is the other way around. There does not need to be reason to be realistic because that is the status quo. There needs to be reason for something to be unrealistic. Of course being unrealistic can be totally ok or even better than being realistic, but that unrealism needs to serve a purpose. So please enlighten me as to which purpose the unrealism in this scene serves.
No, it doesn't. The moment you throw any comparability with normal people out of the window there is no point in being impressed anymore, since there is no scale for what "strong" refers to in that universe
>inb4 you think to much into this it's just a comedy
This is not about consciously searching for inconsistencies, it's a reflex. The moment stuff like this is introduced in an otherwise largely normal universe it's just too obvious the author is making shit up to suspend my disbelief.
Have we reach the top level of moe cuteness?
She also do cocaine.
>No, someone doesn't like something I like!
>Better call him out on being "mad" that will show him!
Welcome to anime.
You'll either learn to accept it for what it is and learn it's tropes or your autism will force you out of the fanbase.
Quite honestly I'm hoping for the later, we have too many edgy autistics here already.
>Other people like something I don't like!
>Better make a thread and bitch about how it's an unrealistic piece of fiction!
>Steel beams falling from sky
What will the world throw at them next? Relationship problems?!
Your "discussion" is going into a church and saying the bible is unrealistic.
It's just a generalized example, don't start sperging about religion now, your autism is already obvious.
>Your "discussion" is going into a church and saying the bible is unrealistic.
Your comparison is shit, m8. So /a/ is the church or what? Because the post was made on /a/ (protip it's a thread OP) not in another Ore Monogatari thread. What you are essentially saying is that everyone on /a/ has to like OM like church goes like christianity, which is just so much bullshit that I can't come up with any good metaphor for it.
I bet OP must have never heard about Japan and their killer colds, trucks, and steel beams.
What a fag, amirite?
You do realize that they have only introduced three main characters in the first two episodes, right? Of course the dialogue is going to be lacking. Only three people are interacting and the two best friends and the girl just met. Top it all off they're awkwardly in love.
Suspension of Disbelief should have been thrown out when a 2 meter Asian is the main character.
I'm giving it a few more episodes. I mean look at this cover. It's so beautiful.
If you want total realism, go watch live action shit.
Being animated gives the directors the ability to exaggerate things like having a dude be twice the size of everyone else, or being able to lift steel beams. In fiction most everything is blown out of proportion, and in this medium even more so.
TL;DR: Exaggeration happens in fiction, calm your autism.
Does someone have the screencap of the top left scene? I really like the art direction here rather than what the anime is offering.
>Unless you're gonna try and tell me a steel beam falling in a neighborhood is something that happens often in japan
Those would be lightweight home construction steel beams. They are nowhere the thickness, size, and weight of commercial or industrial construction steel beams. As for lightweight beams in a neighborhood, I have seen a lot of new 2 or 3 story homes use steel beams in them. It's a growing trend in new higher quality homes and very tall ones which is what japan has (i've walked by five story residence homes in some tokyo areas). I see them used in apartment construction too but that's required by law (building codes).
As an aside to your heavy steel beam, Mythbusters accelerated a lightweight pingpong ball to such a speed it penetrated a thin plywood.wall.
Why do you assume I don't like OM? Just because I dislike a scene does not mean I have to dislike a whole anime. In fact I don't, I think it's quite enjoybale. You act like some pissed fanboy who can't stand when someone criticizes his favourite anime in any way.
>...or as often as truck drivers fall asleep.
Long Haul truck drivers falling asleep is lot harder now with GPS. Time, distance, speed limit are checked and it's pretty easy to see if someone is driving more than the legal limit. The law checks driving logbooks as well. There was a news investigation show a year or so back which showed how one company tried to fake out the log inspection by have TWO sets of gps and a hidden power switch for the main GPS. Thus, they generated fake logs. However, the state has been putting in automated license plate readers and so it has built up a pretty good database database wow wow wow. Consulting that database revealed a discrepancy in truck travel times.
>So a girl wont fall in love with me because "im a nice guy"?
There's lots of cases where someone thinks they are a nice guy, but he actually isn't. He's only a nice guy in his self-insert imagination fantasy.
You should know by now that girder wielding trucks are a common occurrence in Japan
