Just curious, do people in Japan get angry over yuri or yuri subtext like western fans do? I've seen massive shitstorms arise over something as small as a company not specifying the gender of the self-insert in a game with a marriage mechanic.
The west has tumblr feminists that will bitch about everything and anything.
No one in Japan cares about yuri, so it's only a relatively small group of women doing god's work by drawing the purest form of love.
Why are you talking about tumblr? A dislike for yuri exists in most western anime communities, including /a/. yurifags aren't really a thing on 4chan outside of small circlejerks in the threads for a handful of magical girl shows, and even those are just delusions anyway.
Did you see them reacting over the constant yuri marriage done in shows like Nanoha and Kiniro Mosaic?
Lesbians don't actually exist in Japan
Attraction to other females is just a result of close proximity and senpai/kohai type social situations
Once they grow up and leave school such things are abandoned
Class S being a thing doesn't mean lesbians don't exist. It's a separate thing, though naturally they intersect, generally ending in suicide and postmortem mockery if it's actual lesbianism.
>A dislike for yuri exists in most western anime communities, including /a/.
Where did you get this idea from? Sure you'll see shipperfags get lots of hate, particularly on /a/, but that doesn't mean that people hate yuri.
The people that you see hating yuri are usually parrots who don't really know what they're talking about, trying to fit in.
From what I've seen...it seems the only kind of shitstorms that do arise in Japan are because some female character isn't a virgin...or because a woman bragged about having an orgy with her bandmates.
Yuri in Japan seems to be a really small blip on the radar?
For this day, this is your fourth attempt to create a shitposting thread, isn't it?
Why are you getting so desperate today?
Getting too lonely in the archives or something?
