Where were you when slackers got BTFO?
Anyway, can we agree that Hibike went from being pretty shitty to AOTS tier?
this show is so much betterthan K-On, and I don't say that ironically.
Nothing made me more furious than watching Mary sue Yui pick up a guitar and immediately start churning out grade-A Pop-rock.
I know the guitar is a joke of an instrument but it still completely shat all over the practice and hard work a REAL musician must put in to improve themselves and their craft
Not AOTS, but sure it got me really interested on how the whole problem will be solved. It keeps getting better each episode.
Even though I support Sensei I still want to punch his fucking smug face.
It went from like 7/10 to a 8.5/10 this episode
>Chuba-chan, Oparu-chan and Fluffy-chan
Although I agree with sensei, I felt bad for some of the girls.
If f you can honestly tell me that you think this girl right here is shit, and you're not just trying to fit in, I'll just go on with my life and I'll be a sadder and wiser man knowing there are people out there with such a shit taste.
I'm giving you a chance to redeem yourself anon.
>that part where she played that song
Man, I actually got chills and had a tear come to my eye. This shit just gets better and better.
Well if you want I can use another term instead of shit. But yea she's the worst of the 3 and is completly out of place compared with how brown and normal everyone is. It's like she got lost from a precure show.
>tfw practice is canceled
Please. Yui is a savant. There's nothing unusual about that.
Song was a bunch of whole notes, half notes, and quarter notes in 4/4. How the fuck do they fuck that shit up? That was like the shit I did back in middle school, and they're doing it in HIGH SCHOOL
Hey don't bully the Yui.
Keion a fun.
Why is such a weak willed pussy bitch the president?
So if they had picked to not go to nationals, would sensei have just completely fucked off altogether? Why doesn't he want to teach them when they want to go to nationals, when either of those options was fine for him?
He doesn't want to waste time trying to teach those who don't want to learn.
That's basically the sum of it. The man spends all day dealing with students that probably don't want to do shit. Why should he spend his afternoon doing the same shit when he could be grading papers and free up time doing what he wants?
>the 2ND and 3RD year horns couldn't even tune their instruments in the first episode
Should've seen this coming
I haven't watched ep 3 yet because I don't watch HS encodes. Does someone act like a dick to one of the protagonists? Is it that curly-haired faggot music teacher? The nigga look like that one little kid from Tamako Market who Anko was all wet for grew up and became a thwarted artist. Does it cause angst? I am not sitting through another show where cute girls get upset and are sad.
Is this the real face of disappointment?
i get that and all, but in the beginning he said he was fine with them trying to go for nationals or just doing music stuff for fun, so if they had picked to do it just for fun, would he have not taught them anything at all?
If she is so rich, why isn't she buying the whole machine?
As long as Reina wins the Kumikobowl, I'm fine with whatever.
No. No. You know what? Fuck it. I'm dropping this shit. I had enough of pouty hime-cut girls having misunderstandings with the protagonist after suffering through Sora no Method and I don't have the patience for suffering this season.
He probably would have fucked off if they said they wanted to do it for fun. There's really nothing to teach when a room of 30 or more teens are just fucking around while only 5 only want to learn something.
The rage of a thousand suns.
>He doesn't want to waste time trying to teach those who don't want to learn.
He hasn't really tried to teach them anything yet. How can he know how bad they are to instruct if he's done no instructing?
He's a music teacher.
By god anon if I can't complain on the internet about anime I haven't watched then I'll have nothing left in this life. Sensei is a shit, he is a SHIT, and I am not about to put up with his garbage
wanting to learn an instrument for the first time in your life and wanting to compete in a tournament are two very different things, and both require instruction. I do not understand his current actions given his earlier comments.
he made them choose what were they aiming for, and their difficulty setting, they are terrible but set a very high goal and it is a waste of time when they don't have the minimum skill for it.
The episode was filled with shitters. Remove second years and slackers.
The amount of fucks the students in band give about getting gud is in the negatives if some of them can fuck up a major performance like this and make faces like that, In fact, there were a few in the crowd who either didn't touch their instruments or pretended to be playing. It's no wonder Sensei shamed them as hard as they did and it's no wonder the other kids didn't even bother to work out an agreement to get better.
Think of it this way. How are they going to learn anything when they can't follow basic instruction?
They failed the first test by proving to be lazy and impatient. This is something he's doing in his spare time, why should he expend effort trying to force horses to drink water?
>He's a music teacher.
Music teachers still grade papers.
>wanting to learn an instrument for the first time in your life and wanting to compete in a tournament are two very different things, and both require instruction.
He asked if they wanted to "have fun" which means they're not seriously invested in actually learning or mastering the instrument.
It's a fucking high school club. It's a hobby. It's meant to be fun. How the fuck are you going to stand up there with that fucking smirk and tell a bunch of girls who just want to learn how to play band instruments "Don't waste my time". Bitch, go coach the school orchestra or some shit. What, the school doesn't have one? You weren't good enough to get a teaching position at a conservatory? Then how bout you step the fuck off everyone's collective dicks and let me watch cute girls having fun. Fuck you sensei, you're going to ruin this show.
right, which is all the more reason he should actually teach them. They even told him that they understood they were terrible, just not why, and asked if he could explain exactly what they are doing wrong. He then had a section play a piece, said it was terrible, and walked away. He just doesn't give a fuck.
Why did he sign up for volunteer teaching to not voluntarily teach?
As someone who has done competitive sports, I was almost literally screaming at the screen.
Nothing pisses me off more than someone fucking up when I'm trying and then laughing about it.
>be passionate about music and about teaching young adults and high school students the importance of hard work and what it means to love your hobby
>get stuck with a room full of indecisive retards that can't play a note and don't have the drive to get better
sensei did nothing wrong
He's not bothering to teach when they can't even follow basic instruction or play babbys first piece properly as an ensemble.
They're not in competition shape and will basically just serve to embarrass him.
There. You have your explanation.
He has a point when they blatantly say they want to compete at a national level but can't even properly tune their instruments, practice or follow basic instructions.
Fuck off slackerfag.
He asked them if they wanted to aim for the top and they said yes. It's their own damn fault. If they want to screw around, fine. However he's dead right in that they shouldn't waste his time.
Mostly everyone not giving a fuck was more like my high school band class, except for the most part, most of us were all in our middle schools band program so we already had experience with this so most of us were relaxed.
Sensei going hard on slackers though was more like my middle school's Honours Band experience.
