Post anime you are pretty sure hardly anybody on /a/ has watched.
Pre apocalypse fist of the north star set in china.
Someone help me out here, there was this one mecha anime about big tittied chicks in slutty suits fighting aliens in space. I cannot for the life of me remember the name but the main character had blue hair and a fat sexy ass, there was a robot loli in a yellow outfit that was also slutty, a dark-skinned christmas cake that ended up getting eaten by one of the monsters, I think I was about 14 at the time and I literally could not stop jerking off to it. If I could find an image it wouldn't be an issue, but I can't so here's Sawaragi instead.
>mecha anime about big tittied chicks in slutty suits fighting aliens in space
Why I don't know about this.
Closest I know in this genre is Godannar but it doesn't exactly fit your description.
It has to be in here unless it was hentai
Oh, I remember Godannar alright. Where's that gif of the one girl with the big booty when I need it? I could swear I saved it.
Dude, you have just lifted a very heavy weight from my mind. I might download and watch it again for shits and giggles, it was so long ago I can't remember if it was actually good or if it was pretty much all fanservice. Thanks a fucking million, have some ass.
No problem man, it was relevant to my interest. I also watched it a long time ago and I only kinda remember the ED
Here's the gif. Shizuru is still my waifu
You can find people who have watched every other Aoyama adaptation.
There was CG mecha, on the same level of stuff you would expect from the PS1 era or earlier.
It's not particularly good. Although the bouncing tits and ED might keep you watching for smidgeon of time, the rest is boring. It's somewhat trippy and the incessant use of technobabble for the sake of describing basic things gets somewhat grating.
It was fun to watch the dub however.
Not sure how it received a second season.
Windy Tales, definitely. Although I chalk that up to the nature of the show. There's not much to discuss since it's just a mellow slice-of-life series with some supernatural elements, but it sure does it well. Really nice and relaxing to watch.
I knew there was something special about that ED since the two of you pointed it out specifically. I remember that part in particular giving me the hardest time, the way she flashes her ass and lies on her back with her bare tits in the sun, adolescent me didn't stand a fucking chance.
Solid and interesting SOL
I liked it
Catman is like pretty much unheard of and one of my favorites
60 people at max but criminally underappreciated
>Want to torrent series for screencaps
>It's all in english
>Can't deal with it
I dropped it. It was pretty, but unloading a dumptruck of symbolism without any context isn't going to keep me entertained. It's like a puzzle game locking you in a room full of puzzles and you don't even know how to control the character.
I love this show
I discovered that literally no one even knew this show existed when the CG abomination that is Crowds came out. The OST along was worth watching the show over.
I found this one day on CR, in the before times when CR was a fansub streaming site. I've found one other person that's heard of this outside of seeing on a list of Nana Mizuki's roles. Solid show. Not great, but funny.
Don't feel like listing titles but there's a lot of independent animation that's not even on MAL, including one DVD recently which is out of print and that I got through asking the animator directly by email.
In my first year on /a/ Galaxy Angel was the big thing that everyone posted aside from Azumanga Daioh. I remember trying to get hold of it on dialup and not really getting anywhere.
That show ended up being the one anime that showed up in stores that didn't even carry anime or DVDs. I'm not sure how that happened since I've never seen anyone say they ever bought or watch it. Cheap license?
I saw some guys post Strange Dawn in a nostalgia thread last week - there's definitely been a few people who've posted it in 'anime nobody else has seen' threads in the past few years, but if you're one of the people who only saw it as a young teen, I'd really recommend giving it another look. The themes are fairly surprising for something that got aired on kids morning cartoon slots.
This fucking show
I don't know if the original one was ever dubbed. Maybe a small portion of it exists and not the majority. A lot of old anime was lost, most pre-1930s is gone as far as I know, and early TV series were neglected too, even Astro Boy has a few episodes that are lost as of now. I have the Big X DVD box and it's episodes 1 and 2 and then the last 1 or 2 cours of the series. Everything between that is gone (or at least was when that box set was released).
My favorite anime, but I keep missing the threads.
I've been wanting to watch this for a while, but I'm waiting for a life-threatening situation to present itself.
Seven of Seven. Not even I watched it. Since it was written and directed by Imagawa, I was always kind of interested, but I don't know if it's good. I asked both /a/ and /m/ in threads about him but no one would ever answer.
JIM LEE GIVES THUMBS UP!
"I really like anime and manga, my favorite one is Eat Man since its the only one Iàve ever actually read! and just the first three chapters!"
~ Jim "Toblerone" Lee, yesterday
>the way she flashes her ass and lies on her back with her bare tits in the sun
I don't have the opportunity to post Divergence Eve stuff very often.
Phantom: Requiem of the Phantom
Not a bad watch. Haven't seen anyone else who has seen it yet.
Seen it, loved it, bought the fanbook.
Also it is fairly well known in South America from what I can tell, I know a Chilean and a Brazilian who have seen it.
Pump Up, like Torch, Girls Be Ambitious, and other OP/EDs that are upbeat, was extremely out of place for the end of some episodes.
Cyborg loli incinerated? PUMP UP.
loses her memories?PUMP UP.
is killed by CG mechs?PUMP. UP.
It was a mediocre show but being a TM work, it caught the attention of a lot of people at first.
This was so hiliarious. I'm still waiting for the 3rd OAV.
More people need to watch this.
More people need to appreciate the beauty that is the TSR-2.
They need to make more of this shit
This is a very good show.
I watched like 3 episodes of this and it was really silly. Then I forgot about it. Maybe one day.
Overshadowed super hard during its original run, and quickly forgotten.
It was weird too, because It seemed pretty popular for the first few episodes.
The anime of eat man is so god damn disappointing. It's tied with BLAME! for my favorite manga but the anime adaptation is complete shit and has absolutely nothing to do with the story of the manga. I watched the first few episodes and they weren't even things that happened in the manga.
How many people have watched this? I know it was the first anime I ever watched and I rented it from my local library but I never see it on /a/
I know I've seen this. But I can't remember anything about it. I CAN'T EVEN REMEMBER IT'S NAME!
Cozy setting but mediocre story line and characters.
Divergence Eve was all in English? If anything, I recall having difficult finding it with English audio.
Anime-MX has a dual audio release, though I'm certain it's widely available with other releases that are only Japanese/subbed.
The sequel, Misaki Chronicles, is likely only available in Japanese.
Shinesman was actually a lot funnier than expected. Who thought Moss Green and Sepia were good colors for heroes?
>a dumptruck of symbolism
>like a puzzle game locking you in a room full of puzzles and you don't even know how to control the character
In Windy Tales? Are you sure you replied to the right post?
A girl, not a trap.
There was a reverse trap, though.
>In a city filled with anthropomorphic cat-people, Catman lives free of rules and boundaries, doing everything he wants, which often collides with the other inhabitants of the city. Catman dares to be bold: it’s made in Flash, which is rarely seen nowadays; there are no spoken dialogue but instead is subbed in Japanese and English and has a original soundtrack made in purpose for the series.
It's not often I come across an anime that I've never so much as heard the title of so far. Sounds like a neat experiment; I'll check it out.
Original Eat-Man manga is very good. The anime was awful and had barely anything to do with it. The great Eat-Man 98 ovas were basically an apology to fans by straight adapting some of the best parts of the manga.
The only thing I saw of "Daa! Daa! Daa!" was when the guy was reading english in class and he was just spitting out gibberish. And to this day I think it's one of the most hilarious things in anime/manga/
The frequency of threads went down but we had one big one for its 14th birthday.
Maybe when the anon who's moving over the softsubs for the BD's graces us soon
Best steampunk anime
Bless you anon but don't feel so pressured to rush
I watched this. It was good.
Some people have watched this but not enough.
The nostalgia has hit me like a sack of bricks right in the dick. It's amazing how any other work on this level would barely get a twitch out of me down there, but since it was Divergence Eve specifically it arouses me greatly strictly on principle.
Glad I'm not the only one, it was driving me fucking crazy for a minute there.
Back when I first watched it I thought it was creepy as shit that they were sexualizing a child. "I can't fap to this" I thought to myself. What a long way I have come.
boss level taste
what has /a/ not watched?
>Record of Lodoss War
also, the fact Sword of a Stranger is not praised here shows really, really, really-really, REALLY rrrrreally bad taste on /a/'s behalf....
if it's not the latest trend, it ain't /a/
I probably only believe you're being too picky because I originally watched it in english on whatever the fuck channel it was running on at the time, but if it helps the show is trashy as fuck from what I can remember so a shitty dub really shouldn't take away too much from it. In fact, that may make it all the more fitting.
It seems like a large portion of /a/ has seen Jinroh, the issue is the lack of threads for discussion.
The original Mazinger Z? It's not uncommon for people to mention watching Shin, but the original is more common on /m/.
I remember Mazinger
>Sword of the Stranger
It's always posted in the webm/good animations threads.
If anything, I want sexy moans, not awkwardly done, early 2000's english moans
What do you mean, if it wasn't in English? BakaBT has it with dual audio.
/a/ Loves bartender. The anime was okay; the manga was very good
I've only seen Mermaid's Forest brought up a couple times on /a/.
This was a while back so I can't even remember since I deleted it so fast.
Guess bakabt will the one to try out. Thanks Arino
Dude quit being a fag and just dl it already so we can fap to it together. I know that pokemon guy or whatever the fuck is totally down.
>so we can fap to it together
There is an unfair lack of doujins for Divergence Eve. With those designs and the supposed popularity in Japan, it's an outrage.
Yeah, what gives, every girl is asking for the dick in every piece of promotional art.
You know these threads never work because there is always gonna be an anime more than one person here has "watched".
A better thread might be, "Post anime you are pretty sure nobody else but you bought"
Same here, I'm going at 1.5 mb/s so I should be done in about 45 minutes. I wasn't joking about watching it together though, I've got a bottle of rum and not shit to do for the next five hours so I say we sit down and have ourselves a nice night.
You too dude, let's do this shit. And the reason why there's no doujins is because it's already heavy on the ecchi, according to the inverse principle of sexualization.
This anime is rarely talked about which is an absolute shame. It's awesome.
rarely gets talked about probably because it is so unremarkable besides the gore and hideous 3d animation
is talked about but seems to fly under the radar most of the time
I don't really read the circlejerk powerlevel threads but I wonder if people actually watched it as opposed to playing the games (it was a fun show)
This is so far down my backlog I don't know if I'll ever get to it
What are you talking about? Their ample sweater kittens are hanging out in every one of those pictures. That's totally consistent with the series.
I'd be down for that. I have some rum and gin I need to get rid of anyways.
It technically never left.
I'm almost done so go ahead without me and keeping updating with nice screencaps.
I've got about 20 minutes till it's finished so if we could start at 11:00 that'd be cool. You guys are probably going to be all over the sub but I gotta go with the dub for nostalgia's sake. I'm all out of sfw DE images now so I'll post a picture of what I'll be doing instead.
As much as I would like to participate in watching some super-interesting TnA tonight, I have to retire relatively early. I'll be with you two in spirit since I'll be fapping myself to sleep with this
Hold on are we actually doing this again?
I need to get ready for ancient Korea.
Fair enough, maybe at some point in the off chance this show gets mentioned again which is roughly once every other blue moon, we can do it in earnest. Just take care not to delete it this time.
We could even watch Dyogrammaton again too.
I have. I watched it because I thought the eyecatch was cool. It was actually quite good.
Did anyone watch this anime where the protag had green hair and had a power that he could turn trash into something. It involved a tournament to do with god and angels or something, really can't remember it but i can kinda picture it
I wouldn't think of deleting it unless I get every screencap worth taking.
Maybe we'll watch Nurse Nanako next.
One of the most underrated gems of this century. I feel like If it was simulcasted today it'd be a lot more popular. At the time it was airing, it took ridiculously long for the fansubs to come out, and it was only finished years after the show had finished.
I'll have to look into this, it seems super interesting.
DL link is about 30 posts up, feel free to join us.
Alright dude, I'm ready. I'll start when you respond.
>Japanese, 12-episode anime adaptation of the H-game of the same name. While there are no sexually explicit scenes in the first 12 episodes, the series has a strong focus on nudity. A non-canon sequel exists to the story as a thirteenth episode, which was released at a later date. This 'Episode 13' is unlicensed and not included in the US release due to scenes involving sexual acts.
Super interesting, I'll check it out
If you give me a moment, we could watch it together
via ConnectCast stream.
Green Green subbed is mediocre. I would actually recommend watching it dubbed just for how ridiculously idiotic it becomes, to the point where it's laughable. Then again, the characters will all seem completely different when you end up watching the 13th episode subbed.
Guess I can stick around for a few episodes
Damn right you can. I can't tell you how psyched I am that we're doing this.
I would like to do dubbed for nostalgia's sake, but if you two prefer subs I won't raise a fuss. Also, I'm looking into Green Green next. I've been aware of it forever but never actually watched it. If there exists a better torrent than this, preferably dual audio, I'd appreciate a link.
Pretty much casshern sins minus the dystopia.
Saw this at too young of an age and it made me feel existential as all fuck
I watched it dubbed last time and it was interesting enough, so I guess we'll go with that. Give me a second, it'll be at the following.
Say what you will about Adult Swim, but if there exists a single person on this board that doesn't love whoever approved this anime to be ran on their anime block back in the day they need to be chokeslammed.
Good looking out. This was before the age of BD's, so this tv run probably has all the good stuff in it, doesn't it? Either way I'm downloading this shit. Also, can you enable anonymous posting on your thing or is that not doable?
What a shame. Guess I'll just have to post here then. I've got my recliner pulled up and root beer mixed with a couple shots of sailor jerry at my side so I'm ready and willing when you are.
Then pull up a chair with us and let the nostalgia smack you right in the wiener. Link's right here. >>124405132
Everyone and their mom who was watching anime 12 years ago saw Last Exile. Now this on the other hand...
I've watched it. It's really good.
In fact I also came to this thread to post it.
Pretty sure not to many people here have watched this.
I've never seen it posted on /a/.
Fuck, missed the first 15 or so but I'll just rewatch it later. Took me a while to respond because I've been watching so diligently. Don't remember there being bare nips in this though, this is even better than I could have imagined. The tip of my dick is basically pressing against the ceiling right now.
Never met another fan of this show. It's such hit or miss show to be fair.
i got the vhs back in the early 90's as a kid, anyone remember this shit?
I actually don't know why I never see this mentioned on /a/. It was pretty good.
Mostly because it was all downhill after the first episode.
It's like Serial Experiments Lain, except even more confusing.
We gonna get to brown girl's death before the end of the night? I blame that shit for my light guro fetish. I remember wishing I was the ghoul eating her tits and feeling disgusted with myself.
See it pop up every now and again. Probably my favorite series of all time, too.
I think that's in the latter half of the episodes. Nothing particularly bad happens in the first half.
I think the brown girl
diesand the Britbong loses her memory, along with the journalist betraying themall in the second half.
The bait and switch they do in this series contrasted with the ED and promotional art is too hilarious.
It's like a shitty 2000's versions of Madoka with tits and ass
This shit. Watched it back in 2006 and saw it mentioned maybe 4 times.
Manga was pretty good, too.
I'm sure someone can shitcan me for posting something from 2007.
I'm not counting the 80s version, or the 2004 Imagawa version. The original Tetsujin that wasn't even in color.
/m/'s seen it because they love to make rape jokes about it, and even moreso with the manga because that got even more explicit.
But /a/? Never seen it mentioned
I think people were put off by the slow start, but trust me it picks up.
Nice bait. And next you'll say nobody watched Attack on Titan.
No Character Development: the anime.
It was really well made, with cool powers and a good premise, but the story was plain boring. I tried to watch it actively, but I ended up just stopping and then forgetting I had even stopped.
I've got a lot of shit I watched when I first started that was just utterly unremarkable.
First gif I ever made was from windy tales.
I liked it. It was interesting, and easy to watch.
It's a genuinely really good show that no one remembers until you remind them it exists.
Kurau Phantom Memory was just bizarre. I really don't even know to whom it was trying to appeal. I did watch all of it, though.
It wouldn't be so bad if the first Eat-Man series was good, but it was too surreal sometimes. Leaving stuff open for interpretation can be really interesting, but almost every damned episode? Nope.
Bolt's glares were pretty good, though.
The manga ending made the MC look like a piece of shit.
I enjoyed this anime, and the OVAs from the 90s. Too bad Takahashi never finished the manga.
The best anime to ever feature The Backstreet Boys.
>I must not have watched enough because it seemed hilariously bad.
Every main character had a complete arc and didn't leave threads hanging
It had consistently good animation and art.
Rushuna and Yakkun have a really good dynamic.
Despite being a story about trying to find pacifism it doesn't get preachy.
It's a well-made show.
Never had that impression from the gifs i saved.
Oh! Edo Rocket. Genuinely fun show that I really don't care it was forgotten. But the opening theme song was fucking great and never even shows up in opening theme song threads.
Dropped it after they went to space.
If I remember correctly this was like a cross between The Iron Giant and Eva.
In that case, I'll have to give it another shot. Maybe I didn't get far enough for it to make a good impression, and the gifs >>124409133 mentioned certainly don't give it a good rep either.
the dvds (I son't know if any rips do) also had, if you're interested, commentary for every episode by Mikako Takahashi and Kazuya Nakai (Rushuna and Yakkun), with other cast members in certain episodes and the director in the finale. Surprised me they did even episode, when shows like say Geass had one every 8 or sp eps.
Eat-Man 98 was garbage you wannabe tryhard oldschooler. Original Eatman blew the shit out of it. I bet you never even watched it on bootleg korean VHS tapes.
>m-muh closer to the original manga..
Has anyone here watch the Diary of Anne Frank ? (Not the 1995 version, but 1979 version)
I only watch the 1995 version.
There's another moment I remember specifically, Barney picking up lolis head and fucking with her eye. Doesn't deter my arousal for her in the slightest. With Kurea it's more of a childhood crush kind of thing, you never forget your first waifu after all. Also tell that one guy in your chat that Cross Ange sucked fucking dick for me, please.
I know there's actually a good deal of people on /a/ that have watched GaoGaiGar (probably partially because the guy who made the Over 9000 video kept inserting it in his vids), but Da-Garn? Fuck even /m/ has barely seen Da-Garn, despite the show being subbed.
>the sister of bakemonogatari
>not talked about
people don't really talk about it except for the final episode, people love to post Webms of one of the sword fights (that never really happened top kek) and then people ask for a source
>Shin Getter vs Neo Getter out of nowhere.
If a person hates SGvNG, they hate fun. That's all there is to it.
And I say fun despite the fact that the first scene in it is the death of Musashi
This use to air on the International Channel in the US, but only the first episode or movie of four. Never seen anyone talk about it, but I remember loving the what I saw. I remember downloading the theme off Napster and listening to it a hundred times.
Not just the SPACE LANCE video.
I saw it when it aired on US tv.
There was an attempt at weekly but that only lasted for about 4 months. Good times though, had someone pick up the 2nd trilogy games
>watching boobs: the musical unironically
It was a decent Eva clone without the horseshit of Eva.
Weird OVA. I still really love the ED song.
Dougram was a pretty good series, if pretty slow for the first two thirds.
Nigger, I've been in line for over a decade. I've earned this shit.
If were being perfectly honest here, if you ignore the N64 tier cgi and subpar voice acting it isn't that much worse than the average seasonal fanservice show nowadays. If you go into it expecting it to be as bad as Musashi Gundoh or that show with the fucking quality van, you may actually be pleasantly surprised.
I THOUGHT when this was coming out that I was going to get an anime adaptation of Ishinomori's Skullman that he turned into the original Kamen Rider, just more faithful. Like how the Kikaider OVA was. Plus it was written by the guy behind a few KR series (and MD Geist).
That is not what I got. I'm still not entirely sure what I got.
Dougram is fucking fantastic, but you're much more likely to find people on /m/ that've seen it than /a/.
Though if you liked Dougram you'll probably like Votoms.
I love it. Looks fucking gorgeous, to boot.
I overheard a creditless ending in the Stream chat. I presume it will be up when the stream ends tonight?
>you're much more likely to find people on /m/ that've seen it
That would involve going to /m/, though.
>Though if you liked Dougram you'll probably like Votoms.
Yeah, I'll have to watch it at some point.
Always good to have more of us
Yeah, I can upload one of the Anime-MX episodes, all of which have creditless EDs. The major downside is the lower quality, it's at a 704 x 400 (?) res.
I could also just splice out the ED and upload that (or to Youtube) but I have my suspicions about copyright.
>Yeah, I'll have to watch it at some point.
Just warning you now, the MC of Votoms is literally unkillable and basically goes around the show fighting off armies with just his jacked-up grunt mech
Thers's an in-universe reason for it though which you don't find out until the end of the show, and when you do a lot of past events that seemed like him surviving through plot contrivance will make a lot more sense
Well Japan-related, there's always this which he ok'd the creation of back in the 70s.
He personally loves and thinks it's goofy fun.
He means besides Heroman.
I liked it. Felt like something between Trava, Galaxy Angel and Read or Die.
If the torrent is available on Bakabt I highly doubt you have anything to worry about. Frankly I'm surprised it's not on there already, that ED is downright remarkable in some kind of capacity.
I'm just saying it so that you don't write off Chirico as a gary stu or something. There is a legitimate reason behind his seeming immortality.
Plus he's immortal, not invincible. He gets fucked up beyond belief in like every arc.
The way she died was actually pretty fucking brutal looking back, though they didn't explicitly show it. Wish I could've filled that cake with my frosting before she had to go.
>immortal, not invincible
I fucking love protags like that. Assuming they aren't total fags of course.
>-Robots were aliens all along
Yeah this bothered me, but it's a fairly minor plot point that's only visited in that one episode.
I did find it kinda silly how they never bothered to actually see what was in that particular location until near the end.
Picked up pic related because
my highschool anime clubshowed it one week and I wanted to know more. Don't remember much of it, besides the jazzy OP.
Also Crush Gear Turbo.
>Assuming they aren't total fags of course.
Chirico doesn't talk much (except in the next episode previews, which you WILL want to watch if you want a better look at his inner thoughts).
But then he's only 18, and more importantly he's severely mentally scarred from PTSD he got from fighting in the war and being tortured for information he didn't have.
>I did find it kinda silly how they never bothered to actually see what was in that particular location until near the end.
That they didn't explore it in some way beforehand was silly, for sure. Though it didn't bother me as much as how that Mephisto motherfucker turned out to be just some dude and not, like, Mephisto.
You try fighting in a galaxy-spanning war ever since you were 15 where casualties in every battle number in the millions, and say it won't cause premature physical aging. Stress does some serious shit to your looks.
I wished this show was about diving instead of magical girls.
Oh no I had the opposite reaction. I was really glad he was just some guy, and therefore I was kinda pissed that he somehow managed to live at the end anyway. Not that I wanted him to die, but he shouldn't have been able to escape that situation.
Besides, the symbolism is nice cause it's all grounded in real people. He's only playing the part of the devil, he doesn't have to be the devil himself.
Never see pic related get talked about anymore.
>Not that I wanted him to die, but he shouldn't have been able to escape that situation.
Yeah, that was stupid.
>He's only playing the part of the devil, he doesn't have to be the devil himself.
The fact that he shows up mysteriously to Ryu impossibly out of thin air - offering a deal that couldn't even be unreasonably done by human hands - created too much of a contrast with who he actually turned out to be.
I liked nanaka, and here's why: it had a generic tsundere cliche in it, and when she's all being a dick to MC, MC is all "why don't you just fuck off then", and then there's all character development and shit.
